Chip and Kim and Colin and Christie get off their bus and look around for the taxis they're supposed to find. When they find the taxis, Colin notes that they have keys in them. Well, sure. "I'll drive this bitch," Colin says, apparently thinking that "Heavy But Short" was just a figure of speech. Immediately, Kim turns the key and is like, "Yeah, not." They figure out that it's all about pushing, and they start calling the hovering locals over to help them push the taxis. Colin and a bunch of kids get pushing Christie in one cab, and -- hey, Kim is pushing and Chip is riding. That doesn't seem efficient. Anyway, they both are getting a lot of help from a bunch of people who apparently don't have enough to do and enjoy pushing cars for no reason. I actually laugh when the car starts sort of behaving strangely, as cars will do when pushed, and Colin says, "Woman at the wheel." I don't know why. It should make me want to hit him, but he seemed to be kidding, and it's honestly so fucking archaic that I can't bother to be offended. Or else I just have Colin Offense Fatigue and can't be bothered anymore. Kim comments about Chip putting "his big old butt in the car while [she] had to push." In the interview, she tilts her had and says, "Can you believe that, to make his woman do something like that?" "Oh, baby," he says. "I'll make it up to you." She looks skeptical. Hee.
Linda and Karen pull the Detour clue and pick the Heavy task as well. Elsewhere, on their train, the Twinkies are hoping they won't be last. "It's just been a bad day all around," one or the other of them says. When they hop off the train, they also pick Heavy But Short.
Christie and Chip continue steering the two lead taxis toward the garage where they need to end up. Christie claps and cheers as they approach. These two teams arrive, and fortunately -- because he is ahead -- Colin manages to be nice and thank his helpers profusely. He and Christie and Chip and Kim get the next clue, which sends them to the Victoria Memorial, which is the next pit stop. Look, look, the mat! Both teams get taxis to the pit stop. In a moment that would be endearing if Colin hadn't already used up every ounce of good will he will earn in this life and the next, Christie comments in their cab that that task wasn't so bad, and he pauses and then is like, "For YOU! You drove the damn thing." And...good point. She laughs. I wish I liked them more, I really do.
At the train station at Garia, Brandon is looking for someone who speaks English who can talk to him about the train to Sealdah Station. He gets a little help, and then a little boy extends his hand. Now there was some talk in the forums about whether this little boy was wanting to shake hands or asking for money, but the kid is quite turned-out and well-dressed (he's wearing a tie, I believe) and looked to be with his mom, so I'm going with wanting to shake hands. Brandon does, too, introducing himself in a nice, friendly way he has that I have really come to appreciate in this particular season. Nicole then asks Brandon if he'll stand with her, and she comments that people are kind of staring at her. Which is true. To me, it's very understandable that they're staring, and it's very understandable that she doesn't like it. That one was a no-harm, no-foul to me. The train comes, and as they climb on, she comments that she's being pushed. Yeah, that'll happen. She continues to complain as the train fills, and Brandon mutters, "Lord, help her." The Lord: "Dude, it's a crowded train. Women all over the world do it every day. She'll live."
