By Kim | Season 4 | Episode 4 | Aired on 10.30.2001
Felicity dances alone in her room, working out a routine for the pageant. She's really good. Keri Russell's New Mickey Mouse Club roots are showing. Felicity finishes a series of turns, and is then startled by Noel standing in the doorway watching her and chuckling. Felicity rushes to turn off the music and hide the receipt from the clinic under some notebooks. Noel apologizes and explains that he came to help Elena with her computer. Noel compliments Felicity's dancing. Awkward pause. Noel says that Elena told him about the pageant. Awkward pause. Felicity looks increasingly upset. Noel asks what's wrong, and Felicity says that she can't talk about it. Noel says that what happened between them is in the past. Felicity says that it's more complicated than that, because she thinks she might be pregnant. Noel looks stunned, confused...basically the emotions you would expect. Felicity explains about the blood test and the home test, and that she hasn't told Ben yet. Noel stammers that Felicity is telling him because she thinks that it could be his. Felicity agrees. Noel starts to apologize for something, but he's interrupted when Elena walks in wearing the ugliest pink patterned turtleneck ever. Elena starts to ask about her computer, but then realizes that she's interrupting something and offers to leave. Noel says that he'll leave instead, and Felicity promises to call him. Elena asks if everything is okay with Felicity and Noel, and then asks if Felicity told Noel what's going on. Felicity says she did. Elena asks if she wants to talk about it. Felicity doesn't. Realization dawns on Elena's face, as she puts two and two together, and figures out what really happened. Elena says, "Oh my God." That was my reaction too, Elena. Felicity just looks at the floor.
Montage of beauty-pageant contestants giving the typical fluffy answers to interview questions. You know, charity work, yoga keeps me centered and balanced, and we have to think about the children. Felicity and Javier watch with some concern from the sidelines. Felicity's hair looks much, much better now. It's like they straightened it, and then set it on hot rollers. Javier advises Felicity to stick to safe answers and not offend anyone. Sarah adds that they just want to make sure that the winner can speak in public without drooling. Felicity says that it doesn't matter what she says, in that case. Javier tells Felicity to say whatever she wants; then when it's over, she can call up her father and ask him for tuition money. Felicity resignedly repeats, "Fine. Safe answers." Felicity's name is called. Javier tells her to "break her legs."
