Oliver tells him to chill. Jimmy stands and screams, "NO!" He says Davis ruined his life, brainwashed Chloe and wants to ruin her life, too. Fuck that guy! Davis tells Jimmy that they have to be together. Oliver says he knows what it's like to "Jones" after a girl (so much so that it keeps you from destroying a planet?) but that Chloe's on the way, so, come on, man, hold on. Davis, desperate, says that he hopes so, because the only way to control himself is to kill one of them. Sorry! It really messes with having a regular poker night. Davis closes his eyes and tries to collect himself. Jimmy tells Davis to kill him. He's had everything taken from him and there's only scar tissue left. And this smelly, jumpy, ugly monkey. Oliver tries to get Jimmy to stop. But Jimmy keeps on. He asks what Davis is, since he's not human. Jimmy asks if Davis thinks Chloe could ever really love him. He says Chloe will discover his lies and it'll be over. Davis dives at Jimmy without changing to Doomsday. Davis growls. He grabs Jimmy's head with both hands like he's going to crush it. I'm crushing your head! Oliver yells, "Davis! Davis!" Davis digs his thumbs into Jimmy's eye sockets like he's going to blind Jimmy. Oliver yells that Chloe would never forgive him for that. That stops Davis. No eye gouge. Davis's eyes flash red, then go back to normal. Davis says Oliver's right. "You mean too much to Chloe," Davis mutters. He punches Jimmy out instead. Davis turns to Oliver. "It has to be you," he says. I liked it better when Harry Connick, Jr., sang it. Davis says sometimes the monster does get the girl. He says he's sorry, then grabs Oliver by the neck. Allow me to introduce myself: I'm Chokey Roberts.
Talon entrance. Clark, wearing a blue windbreaker on a blue T-shirt whooshes in. He calls for Chloe, but gets no answer. Clark sees an open door upstairs. He leans his head and uses his superhearing. He hears men struggling and grunting and knows that this is a job for Clark. So much danger and passion. It's the Gayest Look of the Episode. "Oliver," he says. Clark bashes through the basement door, grabs Davis and pushes him against a big water heater. It bursts and steam flies. Clark asks where Chloe went. Davis, steamy, asks what Clark's going to do to him. In bullet time, Clark grabs Davis and pushes him while grabbing onto him. They go all the way up the basement stairs in a blur. We pan back across the basement. Oliver is still sitting in his chair. Could, uh, someone untie me? Please? I'll give you a job if you do.
