Commercials. 55,000 people are fast-forwarding through this Sprint commercial. One of them is a Smallville recapper.
Talon, same night. We focus on a set of yellow flowers next to set of purple flowers. Is that supposed to represent Chloe and Davis? Chloe enters to find suits and paramedics inside. Jimmy is being wheeled out on a stretcher. Chloe says, "Oh my God." She asks if Jimmy and Oliver had been held in the basement. Dr. Hamilton is there to helpfully inform her, "They're lucky to be alive." If he's so scared of Davis, why did he come running? Chloe tells Jimmy she's sorry and squeezes his arm. She's lucky Davis didn't take a bite out of it. Jimmy shows no emotion as he averts his eyes from his ex-wife. "Whatever you do, Chloe, stay away from that monster." Jimmy is carted off. Oh, by the way, you can forget about any alimony, unless you want it in monkey feces. For some reason, Dr. Hamilton helps take Jimmy away. Oliver says he thought about calling the police (he didn't?) but figured he'd give Chloe a chance to explain herself for harboring a serial killer. The paramedics didn't tip off the police? I guess this is Oliver's special crew, not public EMS. Chloe says it's all her fault for leaving Davis alone. Oliver asks when she became one of the bad guys. Ouch. Chloe says that she calms Davis. He needed her. Oliver, pissed off, asks if the needs of the Cornfield Killer outweigh the needs of the world. Chloe says it's complicated. Oliver gets in her way as she tries to walk past. He says Davis, the psychopath, said the same thing. Oliver lectures Chloe about coddling a killer. Chloe, teary-eyed and losing her composure, says she had the whole thing under control. Oliver loses control of his line readings as he tells her that speaking as Davis's would-be next victim, her plan was seriously flawed. He asks how she thought this would end. She promises to find Davis and fix this. "No. You won't," Oliver says. He tells her Clark will handle it from here. She asks where Clark went. Oliver says Clark took Davis. "He's finally gonna finish this," Oliver promises. Oh, I don't believe that. We've got two whole episodes left this season.
Fortress of Iceitude. Inside, Clark throws Davis to the snowy floor. Ice to see you! Davis gets up, dusting snow off himself. He says he was trapped here once, but if Clark wants a throw-down, he'll get it. Clark doesn't want to fight. He wants to make sweet love by the ice dildos. Clark thinks the Fortress can help. He says it's all that's left of their planet. Davis, who stops in wonder, asks how a piece of Krypton ended up here. Clark says his father built it with Kryptonian technology. SCIENCE! Clark says it'll send Davis to a world where he can be himself. It's called Psycho Beast Killer Planet. It's not in any of the travel books. Davis asks, very softly, "A world without Chloe?" His eyes flash red. No likey! Davis says Clark had better have a Plan B. The morning after pill? Clark reasons that if Davis really loved her, he'd let Chloe go. Davis says Chloe chose to protect him and it was her idea to leave town. Clark says Chloe believes in second chances and would have done this for anyone. Clark explains patiently that she has no feelings for Davis. Just dirty, dirty sex dreams. Davis, sadly, asks if it's because of what he is. He says he didn't choose this and even tried to kill himself to escape this life. True dat. Davis explains that Chloe keeps the darkness away and makes him feel human. Clark blinks. He goes to the Interstellar Rack of Ice Dildos and pulls one out. Clark asks what happens when that changes. Davis thinks it won't. He says Chloe's his one chance to be happy. "Why can't my own Kryptonian brother let me have that?" Davis asks. Aw, man, you had to pull that one out. Clark says he was wrong that they were ever brothers. Clark walks over to another dildo rack, but Davis grabs him and throws him aside. Clark crashes into a fake ice block. He says he doesn't want to hurt Davis. "Don't worry. You can't," Davis says. Clark punches him in the chest, and Davis flies into some ice across the Fortress. The giant black dildo on the ground hums. Clark picks it up. Maybe later, dildo. Clark sticks the dildo into a lit-up rack. It goes from yellow to bright red, and a big, bright portal opens up in the air behind Clark. Davis promises to take Clark with him if he goes. The two grab each other. Davis suddenly gets weak and falls to his knees. Clark looks behind him. Chloe is standing there. She's holding the Cheap Airfare Octagon of Quickie Travelocity. Clark asks what she's doing. She says she can't let Clark do this. She pulls the big black dildo out of the phantom rack. The portal disappears. Clark says this is the right choice. Chloe's not convinced. She tosses the dildo aside. She accuses Clark of not wanting to kill Davis simply because he wants no blood on his hands. Makes sense. She can't believe he'd sentence Davis to a life of Hell. Yeah, that seems very harsh for a person who keeps killing dozens of people and wants to destroy the world. Chloe says Clark would never forgive himself for giving up on Davis. I think that train has left the station. Sorry. Clark blinks. It hurts to question things at this point. Davis walks to Chloe. She reaches her hand for Davis. We pass behind an ice pillar and there's a bright flash of light. When we come out of the other side, they're gone, leaving Clark alone at the Fortress. Well, shit.
