Flyover of Metropolis, daytime. At the Ace of Clubs, Oliver is having a business lunch with two older guys in suits. [Isn't that still a crime scene? - Z] He tells them that LuthorCorp is going green, but he doesn't want investors to think they're going all hemp-bracelet hippie. One of the guys suggests they send cameras into the geothermal lab. YOU'RE FIRED! What the fuck am I paying you for? And put down that drink. Only closers get martinis! Oliver agrees instantly (I like my boss methods better) and tells them to contact Tess to draw up a press release. He says nothing screams photo op like a 10-foot hole in the ground. Yes, we journalists love that shit. Just then, Jimmy walks in, looking hollow-eyed and dirty. He asks Oliver if they can talk for a sec. Oliver tells him, politely, that now's not the greatest time. Jimmy says it's important. Oliver excuses himself. He tells Jimmy, once they're out of earshot, that he's not dining with his frat brothers. This is business. You think I'd have lunch with those assholes if I didn't have to? I almost fired one of their asses just now. You should hear the rancid bullshit that comes out of their mouths. "Maybe we should donate to charities." DIPSHITS! I should throw them out of a fucking window! Jimmy says he knows, and was hoping Oliver could lend him $600, stat. "Stat?" Seriously? Hey, buddy, I need a loan, and I need it NOW. I have this sick monkey, see... Jimmy says his car blew an alternator. The alternator was happy to get blown. Oliver asks why Ace of Clubs isn't paying him. Jimmy says he was let go. "Cutbacks," he says, "you know how that is!" Oliver says he does know. He's about to cut back those idiots at the table for ever suggesting they do cost-of-living raises for employees. Oliver thinks it's not Jimmy's car that needs the fix. He calls him "Buddy," which is annoying. Jimmy is offended Oliver doesn't believe him. He says he has three bus transfers to prove it. Oliver offers to send Jimmy to a nice rehab that's discreet and has good food. He even offers to pay for it. Jimmy nods. "Great. You gonna drive me there, too? Because my car doesn't work," Jimmy says, snidely. He bumps Oliver's shoulder as he walks past. Oliver says he's there if Jimmy needs a friend to talk to, but he's not giving him money for drugs. It's not drug money! It's money for a monkey! This monkey needs money! Don't you understand!? He's on my back and I need SURGERY! Jimmy says that he thought he and Oliver could be friends. But he can't believe Oliver doesn't trust him. Jimmy goes. Oliver watches. Why does it smell like dirty monkey in here all of a sudden?
