The time is 03:50:59 AM. Bitchelle calls Soul Patch from the Bitchellemobile and tells him that they're two minutes away from the hotel. "Where's NHS?" she asks. "They're getting ready," says Soul Patch. "They should be there in a while." Bitchelle asks how long "a while" is. Soul Patch estimates that they'll be there in twenty minutes. "We don't have that kind of time," says Bitchelle. "I understand, but you wait until they get there," says Soul Patch. "I don't want anyone going into that hotel without bio-suits." "We can't wait too long," says Bitchelle. "What if we have to go in to stop the V-I-R-U-S?" "You wait!" says Soul Patch. "That's an order." "Fine," says Bitchelle. "Anything else?" There's a pause, and you'd think now would be a good time for Soul Patch to say something like "I love you, Bitchelle," or something similarly sloppy, but he doesn't. They hang up. "What's wrong?" asks Gael, who has come back from his coffee run to depose the now MIA Michael Bolton as CTU's Nosy Parker. "Stuff between Soul Patch and me," says Bitchelle. "Things haven't been right since he got back from the hospital." Gael tells Bitchelle that during the last two months, when he and Soul Patch were working closely together, planning the operation, it was eating away at Soul Patch that he couldn't talk to her about their secret plot. Forget Gay Matt. Gael is now the resident Agony Aunt of CTU. "I just want this day to end," says Bitchelle, exasperated.
Meanwhile, back at the Chandler Hotel, Gay Matt is making sure all the entrances are locked, when he sees Alvers dressed as a maintenance man. He's about to follow him when an assistant of his announces that he's got a phone call. Gay Matt is suspicious because he doesn't recognize Alvers, and has his assistant check the man out while he takes the call. The call turns out to be from Bitchelle outside the hotel. Gay Matt reports that they haven't found Alvers yet. Bitchelle tells him to check the guest rooms. "That's going to take some time unless you can lend us some manpower," says Gay Matt. At this point Bitchelle and Gay Matt are facing each other through the glass front of the hotel while they converse on their cell phones. "We'll be coming in as soon as the hazmat suits arrive," says Bitchelle, not making eye contact with him. "My people don't have any hazmat suits," says Gay Matt. "I know that," says Bitchelle. "We'll bring some when we come in." "Yeah," says Gay Matt, understanding, all of a sudden, that he might be infected with the V-I-R-U-S. Gael comes up to Bitchelle with news that Alvers was spotted on the hotel's security camera -- which I guess he's hacking into from the Bitchellemobile. Based on the time of the photograph, they conclude that he's been in there for the last half hour. Bitchelle tells the other agents on the team that she can't order anyone in because it goes against protocol, but she is going in to try to stop the V-I-R-U-S. Gael follows her. Everyone else goes with him. Gay Matt unlocks the front door to allow Bitchelle and her team to enter the building. "I thought you were going to wait for those hazmat suits," he says. He says that they may have spotted Alvers. Bitchelle asks for directions so she can check it out herself.
Meanwhile, Alvers has entered the ventilation room. He opens up his tool kit, takes out the Ukrainian detonator, and inserts a vial containing white powder inside of it. What happened to the crazy green vial? He sets the detonator in place behind a giant fan.
