His parents, on the other hand, are counting all of the donations they received for their fake charity back at Grayson Manor. Just shy of $5 million. Pff... peanuts! Daniel returns from Casa Emily a new man. He tosses a check down on his dad's desk because it wouldn't appear right if he wasn't supporting his own family's cause. He asks that Conrad remind Aiden -- the new treasurer -- that it's tax-deductible and heads off to bed. Conrad's impressed, but Victoria knows better. She shares the knowledge that Daniel's cozying back up with Emanda. It doesn't worry Conrad because Trask will be on top of anything going on there. That gives Victoria the idea that maybe they can employ Trask to get rid of their problem, presumably meaning Emanda.

Ems places a call to Nolan from Casa Emily to ask about Jack. Nolan fills her in on the whole speedboat conceit. They're good with Jack for now. Emanda changes the subject to Carrion. She asks if it can get through any firewall, which Nolan confirms and adds that it can't be traced. He sounds so proud of his malicious code. It's cute, really. When Nolan asks why Ems is interested in talking tech, she lets him in on the intel that the Graysons plan to move their entire fortune into the account for the Amanda Clarke Foundation. Nolan follows along. If they can access the account, they can bankrupt the Graysons. Nolan: "That's quite an Achilles you've discovered." Emanda: "And tomorrow we sever it."

Out at the beautiful, modern safe haven house, Emanda and Aiden go through a typical morning ritual together as they prepare for their days -- Aiden preps his briefcase, while Ems fills a thermos with coffee for him. They walk and talk about Emanda's plan for Eli, which is actually to just do nothing. Oh. OK. The logic is that exposing Emanda would take away any leverage Eli would have to gain from his current situation anyway. Ems walks Aiden out to the front door where they're greeted by Nolan. "So... this is where Aiden-san 'waxes off.'" It only took 57 minutes into this episode for Nolan to finally say something that sounded like him.

At Grayson Global, Daniel speaks in front of the board, presenting Aiden as the new member. He has nothing but kind words for the British bloke who knows business and also has your back in a bar fight. It's nice to finally be done with this stupid board membership story.

Safe haven. Close-up on Nolan's laptop screen which displays the logo for Carrion, which looks like the logo for a videogame by Valve. Emanda sits beside him and bears the brunt of Nolan's geeking out about his little program. He invites her to watch and be amazed as he infiltrates the lines of defense on the Graysons' bank account. Carrion quickly bypasses the first firewall, with Nolan becoming increasingly giddy as he types away. He smiles when he gets through the dual-home gateway. But when he tries to bypass a rotating integrated security matrix, Carrion gives a warning beep and indicates that matrix in red. Something's blocked the infallible Carrion. Nolan clears his throat with embarrassment and gets serious. He tries to access the code of the mainframe when suddenly binary code begins cascading down his screen like The Matrix. Er... the Keanu Reeves Matrix. Nolan's disturbed. He tells Ems he's seen this before.
