Lester: "Cool, where was she born?"Robyn: "What?"
Lester: "Where does she live? What is her residence?"
Alicia: "Lester, stop."
Cary: "We should try to find out why Asher quit. Anything to stop this. I think, um, he seems really by the book."
Alicia: "People like that are so lame."
Cary: "Maybe the wiretaps just exhausted his last vestiges and he lost it."
Lester: "I'll go 'talk' to him."
Robyn: "I'll go too! It will be fun."
OR SCARY
Asher: "I don't have to tell you anything. It's personal business."
Robyn: "I mean, if you're aware of any illegal activity..."
Asher: "I am even more law and order than that. I can't drop my responsibility to this office just because I quit."
Robyn: "But you can if somebody committed a..."
Lester: "How Tyus? Your son Tyus, that goes to Tisch."
Asher: "Whoa, dude."
Robyn: "Whoa, dude."
Lester: "And your daughter, Scarlett. Still among the living, I hope?"
Robyn: "I wish this wasn't happening. Do you ever get that? Like you're in a situation and you just think, Hey, wouldn't it be nice if..."
Asher steps up to Lester and tries to throw him out, which gives Robyn the perfect in to be Good Cop, salvaging the whole thing and saving any number of lives.
Robyn: "Sir, I'm sorry. I used to work at Treasury so I get what you're going through. You see something that doesn't make sense, something wrong, and you can't participate, but you can't just pretend it didn't..."
Asher: "Nope, not going that route either. I'm not an idiot. Look, Lemond Bishop is a scumbag who needs to be in jail. Even you know that, infernal homunculus."
Lester: "I mean, from that perspective..."
Asher: "But look, this isn't about him. Or the DEA. That's all I will say."
KLUGER
Frank Asher is very still on the stand, while Lester acts all weird.
Lester: "After some performative throat clearing about how I'm a little goblin, can you tell us whether you prepared the warrant at the heart of this probable cause hearing?"
Alvarez: "Objection, work product. He was privy to our trial strategy before his resignation."
Lester: "Yeah, but I'm not asking about trial strategy. I'm asking a witness whether the prosecution perjured themselves. Specifically about an active wiretap..."
