Audrey then walks over to someone and says that they got Ted thanks to this person's tip. The camera switches angles and we see that the tipster is none other than Sylar, who introduces himself as Isaac Mendez. He says it was his patriotic duty to call in the second he recognized Ted; especially as it's election day and all. Audrey turns to survey the scene and when she turns back, Sylar's gone. Audrey looks really spooked.
Meanwhile, Hiro is in his father's inner sanctum. He starts to blabble at his dad about how he knows he should go home, but he's not going to because he's on a mission. "You will save the world," says his father, agreeing with him. "I have waited a long time for a Nakamura to ascend. I never thought it would be you, Hiro. You have proven yourself worthy of our legacy. And your power." Hiro's confused. "You knew about my power?" he asks. Daddy Hiro did indeed. Only he wasn't sure Hiro was going to grow a pair and get with the program. But now he sees that Hiro is ready. Hiro's not so sure. He couldn't kill Sylar when he had the chance and Sylar broke his sword. Daddy Hiro says the sword doesn't matter; it was the journey that restored his power.
Hiro is still surprised that his father knew everything. Daddy Hiro repeats the story about the Elderheroes and how they wanted to save the world but some lost their way. "Evil must be stopped, Hiro," says Daddy Hiro. "Next time you face your villain, you will kill him. I will teach you." Daddy Hiro pulls out another ancient samurai sword. Hiro's like, "Uh, yeah, thanks for that, dad. But, really, you're just a businessman. I don't see how you can help me here." Daddy Hiro unsheathes the sword and there's a split second where we see the reflection of his eyes in the blade and I'm not even sure those ARE his eyes and then Hiro wonders aloud how much his father could possibly know of killing and then George Takei busts a supreme ninja move on the dance floor and brings the blade of the sword down to Hiro's neck within a centimeter of the surface of his skin. "A little," says Daddy Hiro with a smile. AWESOME. Hiro's facial expression is just a fantastic blending of rainbows and puppies and unabashed joy. Hee.
After the break, we wind up at a poll site as Micah and Candice pull up in one of Linderman's big black cars. Candice holds out her hand for Micah, the camera swoops in and when Micah gets out of the car to grab Candice's hand, she's morphed into an older black woman in a patchwork jacket. They walk into the poll site, and Candice asks the attendant if she can take Micah into the booth with her so she can teach him about democracy in action. The attendant thinks this is inspirational and readily agrees. Micah tells Candice that he thinks she bends the light in order to make herself look like she does. "How do you know this isn't the real me?" she sneers. Because you're not Missy Peregrym. Duh.
