With that, it's time for panel! There are prizes, there are judges. The judges are Tyra, Nigel, Kelly and Jay Manuel. Can you believe that two of these folks won't be back next year, and neither of them is Kelly Cutrone? And let's talk about the prizes. The winner will receive a fashion spread in Vogue Italia and appear on vogue.it. She'll also have a position as a celebrity guest correspondent for Extra, and a single produced by CBS Records. She will be the face of the America's Next Top Model fragrance, Dream Come True, and will be offered a contract with LA Models, which first signed Tyra one billion years ago, as well as New York Model Management. And of course, there's the $100,000 Cover Girl contract.
The judges first evaluate Laura's performance in the Forever 21 fashion show. Nigel says that she looked like she was having fun, but has to remember to enjoy the moment while simultaneously controlling it. Kelly thinks that Laura has a super cool rock n' roll personality, but looked like she was being forced into niceness on the runway. I would also add that she looked quite cheesy. In all fairness, though, she was blowing a holographic dandelion. Tyra has heard all about Laura's horrid walk, but thought she did just fine. However, Laura's side smoochy tooch booch pooch gooch smirk was a problem. The judges then look at Sophie's walk. Nigel says that she was elegant, strong, and aware of the audience. Tyra loved her body language while dandelion blowing, while Jay thought that she had a particular confidence with the samurai sword.
And then it's time to take a look at the Cover Girl commercials! Blast Flipstick, everybody. Blast Flipstick. I still don't understand what it does differently than non-flipping lipstick. Nigel says that it's one of his favorite commercials from all the cycles, and particularly likes Laura's candid moments that were filmed throughout the season. Anytime she's not looking at the camera, he says, she's stunning. When she is looking at the camera, however, it's too much. Tyra thinks that Laura looks tense, and like her lips are paralyzed. Jay asks Laura to talk a bit about her panic attack, and she confirms that she had one, and that she was embarrassed and upset that so many people had to worry about her. Kelly welcomes her to the fashion world, and notes that it happens. In a real modeling situation, Nigel says, she'd probably be swapped out very quickly for another model. Models of the world, learn this lesson: unless you were in the "Freedom 90" video, you are expendable.
