Jill talks to Tyrone. He says he's trying to decide between Dan and Jimmy T. Jill, of course, thinks he should vote for Jimmy T., but Tyrone says he's siding with voting Dan out, due to his inability to do everything. Jill admits in an interview that she agrees with Tyrone, but has to side with Marty. She tells Marty that she tried to talk to Tyrone, but doesn't think she'll be able to convince him to vote for Jimmy T. over Dan. Marty then tries to work his magic on Tyrone, who again says his first choice tonight is Dan, since he can't do anything in the mud and, as Tyrone points out, every challenge they've had so far has been in the mud. Marty has no choice but to go with the time-honored "____ is a cancer on the tribe" argument, saying that Jimmy T. is too "volatile" and keeps asking to be the tribe leader, which Marty thinks it's obvious he would be terrible at. Tyrone just nods.
Jimmy T. heads to the beach to plead his case to the women, explaining over and over again that he just wants "one shot" at the next challenge. Yve asks him what he would have done differently in the last challenge, and again, Jimmy T. doesn't have an answer for that. He says he doesn't know if there's anything he could have done that would give Espada the win, but wants "the opportunity" all the same. Now he's all bent out of shape because every time he raises his hand and asks for a chance, he's brushed aside. Then why does he keep raising his hand and asking for a chance? That kind of thing would tell me that my tribemates weren't interested in whatever I was offering, and I'd just save my efforts for the individual immunity challenges. Yve interviews that "sometimes silence is more powerful than speaking," especially in a social game like this. Not if you crave camera time, Yve. She says that Jimmy T. is very insecure underneath all of this posturing, and if he's not secure in his own abilities, then Yve certainly isn't going to be. "I'm a mother and I don't coddle my kids that much," she concludes. By the way, Holly was also in this scene, but she just sat there looking all bug-eyed and freaked out.
Jimmy T. prepares the urchins and interviews that he might be going home tonight because he can't shut up. He says that even though he talks all the damn time, no one seems to talk much to him, which makes him feel lonely. So I guess he has some sense of self-awareness here. "It's a tough group of people to get along with. And I'm easy to get along with," he says. Nevermind what I just said about him being self-aware. After a long afternoon of pretty much no last-minute scheming or scrambling on the part of anyone except Marty, we go to Tribal Council. Man, this was a boring episode. Even the usually fun blindfold challenge wasn't entertaining for me. Let's get this over with. Probst asks Tyrone why his tribe lost the challenge so badly. Tyrone says he thought their plan "worked out well," which gets a strong reaction from both Jimmy T. and Probst, who can't believe Tyrone is serious. Tyrone explains that the Medallion of Power was what tipped the scales in La Flor's favor. Marty agrees with Tyrone, saying that at the end of the challenge, they were only behind by one item. I don't even think that's true, but Probst points out that it was one item and a set of keys, finding the chest, unlocking it, and bringing it back to the mat.
