Probst has the contestants draw rocks from a bag, with the contestants who get one of the two colored rocks picked to be the new team captains. Brenda gets a yellow rock for La Flor, while Holly gets a blue one for Espada. Oh, god. Who knows what's going to happen with Holly in charge? Something awesome, probably. Probst explains that Brenda will pick three people from Espada to join her on La Flor, while Holly will pick four people from La Flor to join Espada. So basically, whoever from Espada winds up on the new La Flor will be outnumbered 5 to 3 and therefore pretty much screwed. Also, I have no idea who Holly is going to write down. It could be anyone. Literally, anyone. From Kelly B. to Brenda to Probst to spiders. Holly and Brenda turn their lists in to Probst, who reads off our new tribes: La Flor is now Brenda, Sash, Jud, Kelly B., that other Kelly, Jane, Jill, and Marty, while Espada is Holly, Dan, Yve, Tyrone, Alina, Ben, Chase, and NaOnka.
Marty gives Brenda a big hug, and I think he must have spoken to her before the game or something. They seem familiar with each other. Maybe back when they first thought they were in the same tribe, and he was all happy that she got that stupid Medallion? That's the only explanation I can think of for why she would choose Marty to be on her tribe and not, say, Tyrone. I'm also assuming both captains were told they couldn't pick all men. Probst hands out the new buffs, which are the same as the old ones, and says the "younger tribe" will now be known as La Flor, which it was before anyway. Probst just refused to call them that. He says that the Medallion of Power is no longer in the game, as it clearly only existed to give the old people some sort of advantage and thus keep Jimmy Johnson in the game for as long as possible. It didn't work, and I will not miss it.
Probst asks NaOnka what she thinks about her new blue tribe. She says it's "hard" because La Flor became her "family" and now she's separated from them. I feel really, really sorry for any member of NaOnka's actual family, who she apparently treats like shit based on the way she treated some people in La Flor. Also, way to ingratiate yourself with your new tribemates. Marty shows that he's much better at kissing ass, saying he's happy to be on La Flor now since they're winners and their camp is going to be really nice. With that, it's time for the challenge. Basically, two members of each tribe will throw balls up a ramp and then down a Plinko-like board. When the ball gets to the bottom, two members of the other tribe have to catch it or else the other tribe gets a point. The first team to get three points wins a reward of two hens and one rooster. Jane is so happy to see them that she busts out the cabbage patch. Confident of a La Flor victory, she says she can't wait to wring one of the chickens' necks. This delights NaOnka and Alina, probably because they're kind of glad they didn't end up on Jane's tribe because she's a little scary.
