The food puts NaOnka in such a good mood that she jumps up to embrace Jud, who hugs her back while saying that she's only being nice to him because they're all in good moods because of the food (and also possibly the rum). Brenda, meanwhile, says she's very happy to see NaOnka again because "she's real." She sure is. Farts and all. Brenda says she knows that NaOnka is still her loyal ally and nothing has changed, as NaOnka walks up to Brenda and takes her away for a walk and talk. Make sure you don't stand downwind, Brenda. NaOnka gives Brenda the scoop on Alina: she has no alliance and will be watching Brenda at all times. Which means that she watched Brenda and NaOnka walk away together, right? Brenda, on the other hand, tells NaOnka about the wonders of Jane and how Brenda stood up for her against the evil mean Marty. NaOnka is surprised, saying that everyone on Espada and her included assumed that Brenda and Marty teamed up. Brenda says that on the contrary, not only were she and Marty against each other, but her alliance also was able to convince Marty to give his idol to Sash, who is still in possession of it. Even NaOnka knows that Marty is really stupid for giving his idol to Sash.
Day 20 arrives and fiddle music plays, which can only mean one thing: Southern people are about to bond. Yes, Chase and Jane are over at the watering hole talking about how they're both from North Carolina. Jane adds that she ran and did the P90X workout to get in shape for this show because apparently she likes to watch late-night infomercials as much as I do. FUN FACT: one time I was walking down the street and I saw a parked SUV and the license plate said "P90X." I'll bet it was Tony Horton, shopping at Target and/or Best Buy! At least, I hope it was. It would be kind of lame to have a P90X license plate if you weren't the guy in the P90X videos. Jane says Chase is welcome to come to her house anytime, even if she isn't home, as her door is always open since she has dogs, geese, and turkeys guarding her home from intruders. She also has a shotgun. This show does nothing to make me less afraid of people from the South. Chase says he clicked with Jane immediately, as she reminded him of his mother and they connected over the fact that they're from North Carolina. I'll never understand that. I'm from Connecticut, and when I meet someone else from Connecticut, there is no instant connection. Mostly, he just asks where I'm from and I tell him the name of my hometown and he says he's never heard of it. Anyway, Jane quickly and quite shrewdly gets right to work on Chase, telling him that Marty and his gang ostracized her because of her "Southern accent." They also bond over the fact that he just lost his dad and she just lost her husband. Hey -- maybe Jane's husband and Chase's dad are the same guy? I mean, they're both recently dead and from North Carolina. And stereotypes tell me that everyone from the South is related and this show seems to love casting stereotypes.
