At that hotel, Bazhaev is now sitting across from Sark himself, David Anders, who is playing his son Josef. And he's kind of grouchy when he hears that Farhad has arrived and is about to be shown in. "Every cop in the country is hunting this man. You let him come here?" Josef complains. "So, how does looking like a scared girl help us?" Bazhaev shoots back. So much for their reputed paranoia. Josef suggests finding another buyer, but his father insists that Farhad is willing to pay too much to pass up. At 7:45:57, a goon shows Farhad in. His tie is loose and he's clearly in a mood. They meet on the lit-up dance floor and Bazhaev tries to play the welcoming host, but Farhad bluntly demands to see the uranium rods. Bazhaev pleasantly says they're safe, but Farhad insists on proof that they even exist. "Okay. Come with me," Bazhaev says. Farhad and Josef follow him through the kitchen and to the locked door of a walk-in pantry. Inside is a very sick-looking man, wrapped in a blanket, his own sweat, and a few nasty sores. "My younger son. He was transporting the rods. And he was careless," Bazhaev says matter-of-factly. "There, you have your proof." Farhad looks a bit abashed, if not shocked, and asks how long it will take to get the rods to the ship. Bazhaev tells him five hours, and Farhad insists on being there to supervise the loading. Bazhaev agrees and leads him out, asking, "Now, where's my money?" Farhad says he'll make the call. Bazhaev spares his dying son one pitiless glance before locking him up again. It's 7:47:48.

7:52:03. Now it's Chloe running the briefing, telling Arlo and Dana and other assorted CTUers about Walker's old cover as Renee Zadan. There's even some old surveillance photos of her walking around in sunglasses, boots, and a minidress. In fact, if David Anders had been in those photos with her I'd assume they'd PhotoShopped Annie Wersching into some old Alias stills. They're now working on updating her cover to include her supposed prison sentence after the bust and some time spent working with Kiefer in Mexico. As Dana asks about her contact, Ziya, a photo of Walker cozying up to Callum Keith Rennie (this would be the aforementioned Vladimir) on the big screen fails to elicit any visible reaction from Dana, let alone any captivity flashbacks. Ziya works at an auto parts store, and Kiefer and Walker are already on their way there. Dana tells Chloe to download the whole cover to them and walk them through it. Chloe's on it. She returns to her desk, takes up her headset, and calls Walker and Kiefer while they're on the bridge out of Manhattan to go over it with them. Walker grumps that she knows what she's doing, but Chloe tries to push it until Kiefer says they're good. "Okay, I guess I will leave you then," Chloe says even more awkwardly than usual, and hangs up.
