So the show starts off in the precinct with the lieutenant doing roll call and giving out a picture of a fifteen-year-old retarded girl named Mindy who has been missing since that morning. He also tells all the cops to stay away from Van Cortland Park because an undercover gun-dealer raid will be going on and they won't be able to "tell the perps from their people." Ty chimes in with, "Except their people will be the fat white guys!" and Sully repeats, "Fat white guys?!" and gives Ty the stink-eye. The lieutenant babbles on about the flu going around and that many cops are out and some people are looking for replacements while their partners are out, so he needs people to volunteer to drive alone. Sully volunteers, and Ty looks hurt. Ty, that's what happens when you make fun of cops that look just like Sully. So the lieutenant pairs Ty up with Tepper, a good-looking woman in her early twenties. All the other guys start hooting and howling, and Bosco is all, "Davis shoots and scores!" Like, nice way to set yourselves up for a sexual harassment suit, guys. Tepper is not amused at all of this and tells the guys to get a hold of themselves. Ty just has a smirk on his face. Remember, Ty, you have a girlfriend!

Bobby wakes up and walks into his kitchen, where Matt is making him breakfast. Bobby wonders why Matt is acting so nice, and Matt tells him that, as part of the twelve-step program, he has to make amends, so he has to apologize to Bobby for things he did in the past. Bobby is not thrilled to hear about this, and with good reason; Matt tells him that he slept with Bobby's girlfriend Serena Cadiz while she and Bobby were going out. Matt asks him how many times, and Matt tells him they were doing it the whole time she was going out with him. Nice way to ruin someone's appetite, Matt! Then Matt goes on to tell Bobby that he stole the $2,000 Bobby took a loan out to give to his mother. Bobby looks like he is about to throw up, but Matt's not finished! Matt continues with, "You know the Ford you thought was stolen?" Bobby stands up and screams, "My Mustang?!" As soon as Bobby tells Kim about all of this, you know she's going to be running to Bobby's apartment to jump Matt's bones.

Did you know that Office Depot can help you put on a golf tournament? Well, they can, so call your local Office Depot and get a golf tournament going where you live!

Yokas and Bosco are in the car and Bosco is complaining that the heat is turned up to the max but it's still cold in the car. Yokas puts two and two together and tells Bosco that the heater is broken. Bosco then starts spouting off about how he doesn't get how rich people spend thousands of dollars to go climb a mountain in the Antarctic in fifty-below-zero temperatures. Yokas tells Bosco what we are all thinking, that people climb mountains in the Himalayas, and that in the Antarctic they look for the South Pole. Geography means nothing to Bosco, and he tells Yokas that "cold is cold." Thank you, Bosco, master of the obvious. Yokas tells Bosco that he has no sense of adventure. I think having sex in the parking lot of the police station the week before seemed pretty adventurous. Bosco asks Yokas if she would go to the South Pole, and she tells him she would go with Fred (but would Fred go if there was nothing to drink?) and that she would leave civilization and climb a mountain to see what no one else has seen. They get a call about the missing girl, fifteen years old, white, spotted going into a building with a man in a Mets cap. Bosco is all, "That's the retarded girl, right?" and Yokas is all, "And people think you sleep during roll call." Like I said, Bosco is master of the obvious.

Doc and Carlos bring Doc's dad back to his home; Doc takes out a bunch of bottles of various pills and shows his dad a pill dispenser he can use so he won't get confused about what pills he took and didn't take. Doc is talking to his dad like his dad is five years old, and his dad is getting really annoyed. I would too if I had a child who thought I had the mental capacity of a kindergartner. Doc Senior tells Doc that he'll take his meds when and if he feels like it, and that Doc should have more of a life if he only cares about whether his father takes his meds. Doc can't believe he just got slammed by his father about having a life, so he leaves.

Ty and Tepper are getting their radios, and Ty is acting like he on a date or something. If he acts like this on a real date, I can't believe he's ever gotten past first base with a girl. The lieutenant comes up to them and reminds Tepper that she needs to be in court in ten minutes, and then he reassigns Ty to foot patrol. Um, Lieutenant, if you knew Tepper had to go to court, why the hell did you pair her up with Ty in the first place? Oh, that's right. It moves the story along to pair Ty up with the character the writers really wanted to pair him up with, but they got to throw in a hot police betty as eye candy for the men who watch the show.

Bosco and Yokas knock on the door of an apartment, and a retarded boy named Francis answers the door. He tells them his mother isn't home, and Yokas tells him they're looking for a girl. He looks confused, and Bosco asks him if the Mets hat on the coat hanger is his. Francis puts the hat on and with a big smile says, "Let's go Mets!" Yokas tells him they are looking for a fifteen-year-old girl, and he tells them that Mindy is fifteen. The cops ask if they can come in, and Francis lets them, and they walk in to find Mindy in the kitchen making cookies. Yokas tells Mindy that her mother is upset and that they've been looking for her since this morning. Mindy tells them that she went to the park with Francis, and she goes over and hugs him. Yokas tells Mindy that they have to take her with them now, and Mindy tells them that Francis is her boyfriend; she asks Yokas if she has a boyfriend. Yokas tells her she's married, and Mindy tells them that she wants to get married. Mindy and Francis are really cute; they remind me of a girl and a boy from my high school who were in special ed, and they started dating and went to the prom together, and they were the sweetest people and the cutest couple. Mindy and Francis start hugging again, and for some reason Bosco looks like he is in a hypnotic trance. Yokas tells Bosco to call Mindy's mother to tell her they found her, so Bosco snaps out of his stupor and picks up the phone and starts dialing.

Bobby and Kim are having coffee at the station, and Bobby is whining about Matt and Serena doing each other for two years. Kim tells him about a friend of hers going through AA and having to tell Kim that she slept with Jimmy while Kim and Jimmy were engaged, and that the friend told her that if she didn't tell Kim about it, they couldn't be friends anymore. Bobby asks her if they are still friends, and Kim tells him she hasn't spoken to the woman since that day. Then they get a call about a hit-and-run with a school bus.

Doc and Carlos get to the scene with the school bus, and a nun is telling them that two kids are to the bus and a third was thrown down the street. Doc runs to check on the thrown girl, and Carlos sees the boy sitting to the bus and asks what's wrong with him. The boy hurt his leg, and as Carlos is getting a bandage to stop the bleeding on his leg, someone calls for him because the girl sitting at the other end of the bus is in a lot of pain. Carlos tells a guy standing near him to press on the bandages on the boy's leg so he will stop bleeding, and then goes to check on the girl.

Doc sees a trail of books and blood, then sees a girl lying face down. He tries to talk to her, but he gets no response, so he turns her over to check her out. Now, I need to point out here that there is nothing in the girl's hair, and her hair is dry. You will understand why later.

Carlos gets to the other girl and asks her what hurts. She tells him her stomach hurts, and as he starts to check her out Bobby and Kim arrive with bags of equipment. Bobby takes care of the boy, and Kim runs over to help Doc. Doc tells Kim that the girl is in arrest and he needs her to tube the girl. As Kim gets the tube ready, Doc starts CPR. Carlos calls over Bobby to tell him that the girl has abdominal pain and that little boy is left alone again, and he looks very scared.

Sully arrives and asks Doc and Kim if they have everything they need. Again, I need to note that the girl's hair is dry and has nothing in it. They tell Sully they have everything, and Doc tells him it was a hit-and-run. The nun is standing by them, and she tells Sully that she was driving the bus and had her warning lights on while she was letting the kids off when a car drove by and never slowed down. Sully asks if she can describe the car, but the only thing she remembers is that it was gray. Some men on the sidewalk tell Sully that they saw it all, and that the car was gray, made in '89 or '90, was not in good condition, and had the trunk wired shut. Sully asks if they can describe the person driving, and all they can tell him is that it was a black man.

Kim and Doc are still giving CPR, and Kim checks out the girl's eyes and says that they are fixed and dilated. She looks at the girl's head and noticed that the girl's skull is caved in and that there is blood and brain matter all over her hair. That wasn't there before! Can we have a little consistency, please!? Doc knows about the girl's skull and the brain matter, and Kim tells him that they should have pronounced her earlier because they have other people to help, and Doc thinks that since it's a kid, they should keep going with the CPR. Now, I'm not a doctor, so could someone tell me if it is really necessary to keep a body breathing if the person's brains are no longer in his or her head? Isn't it a big waste of time and energy, no matter how old that person is? Has Doc lost it?

Hey guys, if you're on a train and you want to pick up women, just buy a Michelob Light. They'll flock to you like moths to a flame.

Ty and Candyman, walking the beat. Candyman is eating from a bag of candy. Oh, how cute -- Candyman eating candy! Those writers are really sharp. So they make some small talk about the weather and how cold it is, and then Candyman tells Ty that he drove with Ty's dad for a while. Ty asks Candyman about Sully when he was young, and Candyman tells him that Sully's nickname was Moon Dog Sullivan because he would always moon other units when they passed by. Hey, thanks for making me visualize Sully's bare ass. I need a bigger glass of wine now to ease the pain. So some kid runs up to Candyman and does a really bad acting job as he pretends to be all happy to see Candyman and hugs him, and Candyman asks the kid if he was good in school and the kid nods and then asks for some candy, and Candyman gives him some and finally the kid runs away, and fortunately I no longer have to watch a kid that was picked off the street to fill in and do some acting, though I bet the kid's parents feel very proud. So they hear someone yelling, and they go around a corner to see a Korean woman at an ATM smacking two large black men with her pocketbook. Candyman breaks the fight up, all smooth like Barry White the whole time, and asks what happened. The lady tells him that the men were standing close to her while she was at the ATM and they were going to steal her money. Candyman tells her he'll take care of it and she leaves. Candyman then tells the two black guys, who he apparently knows, that no one likes him around there and that they should leave. They agree, and then Candyman offers them some candy. Ty is all impressed, and thinks that Candyman should have his own theme music playing while he is walking the streets, like Shaft.

Bosco and Yokas bring Mindy to the precinct, and Mindy's mother is there. When they tell her where they found Mindy, her mom wigs out. She wants them to take Mindy to the hospital to be examined for rape. Bosco and Yokas don't think that's necessary; the mother tells them that Francis is twenty-three and Mindy is fifteen, and they met at a park program for exceptional kids, and she says that Francis takes Mindy to a shed in the park. Yokas asks if they have been sexually active before, and the mother just says she wants Mindy taken to the hospital. Yokas asks Mindy directly if she had sex with Francis or if he forced her to do anything, and Mindy just babbles about her and Francis being boyfriend and girlfriend.

Bobby and Kim are slip-sliding on an ice rink, trying to get to a girl who got hurt playing hockey. The girl's coach tells them that she was checked so hard her helmet flew off and her head hit a skate. The girl is asking if she'll have a scar, and Kim tells her she got cut at the hairline, so she won't. The coach of the other team comes over and introduces herself as Fanny Capri, and I won't even comment on that. Kim comments on how the game got a little rough, and Fanny replies with, "That's why they call it hockey." Kim gives her a look and is all, "If that's a joke, I don't get it." Neither does the rest of the world. Fanny starts making fun of the other team's players, and the coach tells her he heard her telling her players to attack his players, and Fanny tells him it isn't Campfire Girls, "it is a contact sport. That's why they call it hockey!" and Kim chimes in with, "Yeah, you said that already. Is your needle stuck?" No shit. And why do they call it hockey, anyway? Bobby comes over to Kim and the girl with a board so they can put the girl on it and leave. I want to know how they plan to get that girl off the ice on the board when they had such a hard time just walking without holding anything. Are they going to slide the board across the rink with her on it?

Ty and Candyman are at a diner and they are chit-chatting with a man behind the counter, and Ty asks for the check. Hey, this is Candyman you're with -- there's no charge! As they are leaving, Sully comes in and looks very surprised. Candyman walks out of the diner, and Ty stays to talk to Sully. Ty asks Sully if he has been playing Steely Dan in the car since he's alone. Sully tells Ty that Candyman isn't like him, and when Ty is with Candyman he's going to be around stuff, and Ty should try not to see it. Cryptic much? Sully then tells Ty about the hit-and-run, that one kid is dead and another one probably will die. Candyman comes back in to get Ty, and Sully goes to the counter to get a coffee. As his coffee is being poured, Sully gets a call that a black man in his forties is at a park, waiting to turn himself in for the hit-and-run.

Doc and Carlos are in the ambulance, and Carlos is talking about the girl who died. Apparently Doc doesn't hear a word Carlos says, because he asks Carlos how Doc Senior looked to him. Carlos tells him his dad looked like he doesn't like being old. Doc tells Carlos that his dad told him to start worrying about his own life instead of his, and Carlos thinks it's good advice. Doc is annoyed. The truth hurts, Doc!

Sully goes to the park and finds the man and cuffs him. The man asks about the kids, and Sully tells him he hit three of them. The man tells Sully that he slid on some ice and was afraid to hit his brakes, and after he hit the kids he was afraid to stop, because he thought the people in the neighborhood would beat him or kill him since he was a black man who hurt white children.

Okay, so there is a commercial about a woman who learned to talk really really fast because she would make long-distance calls with her cell phone and didn't want to be charged too much for talking. Um, isn't that what long-distance service on your home phone is for? Why in the world would you use your cell phone to make long-distance calls when you're at home? I wonder if you can use 10-10-220 on a cell phone.

Ty and Candyman enter a bar where a woman is screaming at Matt and starts to go after him with a bat. She tells them she thinks Matt is going to kill her. Candyman blows a whistle and goes into Smooth Mode and gets everyone to calm down. They take Matt outside, and Candyman asks him who he is. He tells them his name is Matty Caffee, and Ty asks if his brother is Bobby. It's a small world after all!

Jimmy is working out at the station, and Kim tells him he has a visitor downstairs. Out of the blue, Jimmy apologizes for getting behind on child support. Kim tells him she doesn't care anymore, which is a good thing, because I was getting really sick of her constant complaining about it. Some older guy named Sam walks in to the kitchen where Jimmy is now, and Jimmy gets all flustered about him being there, and Sam tells him he wants to talk.

Doc is in the ER after bringing someone in. He see Morales and walks over to her. She tells him she has been thinking about him, and then she asks about his dad. Then she tells him that his dad is lucky he is Doc's son. Whatever. All Doc can say is that he has been thinking about her too. Sully comes over and asks Morales about the girl from the hit-and-run. She tells him the girl is still in surgery, and then she walks off. Can't this woman just stand there at the end of a scene? Does she always have to have the last word and then walk away? I really wish someone would walk away from her soon. Sully wonders if he can ask Doc something. He tells Doc that the guy who turned himself in for the accident was black, and the guy said he didn't stop because he was in the same neighborhood that a black teen got beaten to death in last year. Sully asks Doc if he thinks it's a valid excuse. Doc tells him it is a convenient excuse, but that they guy could be telling the truth.

Jimmy is still with Sam, and he tells him he doesn't want Sam around where he works. Sam tells Jimmy he wants his money; Jimmy owes him $15,000, and Sam wants $5,000 by week. Jimmy doesn't think he can get the money, and thinks that he's being threatened. Gee, Jimmy, what gives you that idea? The fact that you got behind on your payments to a loan shark? Enjoy your limbs while they are still intact!

Bobby and Kim meet up with Candyman and Ty with Matt, and it is raining. We haven't seen a drop of rain in any other scene. Consistency? We don't need no stinkin' consistency! Candyman and Ty hand Matt over to Bobby and then leave, and then Bobby and Matt have a fight about Matt and his making-amends crap. Matt walks off in a huff.

Candyman and Ty are walking down a street -- and now it is not raining, nor does it looked like it rained -- and they see a drug deal going down. The drug guys run, and Ty runs after the dealer and chases him until the dealer trips and falls in front of a truck. Ty starts to cuff him when Candyman tells Ty he knows the guy, and he pulls the guy up and takes him to an alley and tells Ty to wait for him. Uh-oh! Sounds like trouble!

Bosco and Yokas and Mindy's mother are looking through a window of a medical room, watching Mindy get examined. The mother says that the mentally impaired don't compute and absorb experiences like others, so Mindy is confused. Yokas asks if that also includes Francis. The mother asks why Yokas is there, and Yokas tells Mindy's mom she has come to collect the rape kit. Yokas tells the mother that Francis may be twenty-three, but he is just a child, and that she plans to say in her report that, after interviewing Mindy, if it was anything, it was consensual. The mother tells Yokas she talked to a lawyer, and because of the age difference, it was rape. Yokas suggests that Mindy's mother just separate the two of them, and the mother says she is, and Yokas is all, "By putting him in prison?" and Mindy's mother tells Yokas, "Maybe he'll get the message." Okay. How ignorant and evil is Mindy's mother? If she had a clue about mentally-challenged people, she would know that they have a basic understanding of relationships and that they are capable of having them, and whether or not Mindy's mother likes it, Mindy is a sexual being and will try to express her sexual feelings. Great way to deal with teenaged lust -- put the boy in jail. If he has any problems relating to others now, think how screwed up he'll be after going to jail. Why don't you just ruin someone's life because you couldn't even take responsibility for your own daughter's actions, bitch! There is a special place in hell reserved for you! Pardon me while I get off my soapbox.

Sully is at the precinct and finds the DA in charge of the hit-and-run case. He tries to tell the woman why the man didn't stop, and he thinks since the woman is black she might be a little more understanding. She tells Sully she is going to "toast him."

Ty and Candyman meet up again, and Candyman asks Ty if he's going to ask him for some candy. He holds his candy bag up to Ty, and Ty looks in the bag. The bag is full of money, but Ty doesn't want it. Candyman can't believe that Ty doesn't want the money, especially since he is Ty Davis's son, and tells Ty, "You're in. You were there." Ty walks away. Maggie would be so proud of her little boy.

Volkswagen owners really love their cars. Really.

Yokas and Bosco are leaving a pizza place and walking to their car, and Yokas is pissed that Bosco wouldn't sign her report. He didn't like the fact that "in my opinion" was all over the report, and he tells her that when he turns in a report, it has the name, place, and date. Yokas tells him, "When you do a report, it is one big long spelling error!" HA! Bosco looks like he can't spell, on top of not knowing geography, and I doubt he knows much math, either. Yokas tells Bosco she heard that Francis is being charged with statutory rape, and that he had to be charged because Mindy's parents are bigwigs and friends with the mayor, and that Francis may have to do jail time. Bosco starts talking about how he may want to go to the Himalayas to get away from pollution and b.s. with the legal system: "Just ice, mountains, the South Pole." Then he goes on to say that it would probably be fine until he ran into a crackhead Eskimo abusing children. Who is the retarded man in this episode? Yokas just looks at him funny and starts laughing at him.

Ty meets up with Sully in his car, and Steely Dan music is blaring. Sully gets out of the car and asks where Candyman is, and Ty tells him he broke off from him because he saw something he shouldn't have seen. He then tells him about the drug bust and what happened after that. He then asks Sully about Candyman acting surprised at him not taking the money since he's the son of Ty Davis. Sully tells Ty that his dad was accused of taking money a couple times, but it never stuck. Ty asks if his dad was guilty, and Sully just tells him his dad "was what he was" and says Ty has to make the decision about what kind of person he is going to be. Sully is really talking in circles today. Can he be any less clear about anything? Sully asks Ty if he wants a ride, but Ty declines, so Sully gets back in his car and leaves.

Doc brings tea to his father, but his father doesn't want it. Doc asks his father if he misses his mother because he still wears his wedding ring. His father tells him he has no reason not to wear his ring, and then asks Doc what his excuse is. Doc tells him it never seemed like the right time. His dad tells him to get on with his life. Like you did, Dad? Should he try to kill himself, then?

Kim and Bobby get to a crime scene, and Sully is there telling them that there are three gunshot victims. The owner of the liquor store got his head blown off, one robber is dead, and a third is on the passenger side of the getaway car and is still alive. Kim and Bobby get the guy out of the car and Bobby realizes he knows the guy -- it's Mikey, a friend of Matt's. Of course, anyone associated with Bobby has a "y" at the end of his name. Bobby asks Sully what happened, and Sully tells him the liquor store was stuck up and that the owner fought back and there was a shoot-out. Witnesses say the driver of the car ran off during the shoot-out. Bobby asks Mikey if Matt was involved in the shooting, but Mikey doesn't answer.

Yokas is leaving the precinct and she sees Bosco sitting in his car with a dumb look on his face. Okay, so when doesn't he have a dumb look on his face? Yokas yells to him to roll down his window, so he does and he looks all flustered, and she asks him if he wants to go get a drink. Bosco tells her he is tired and is going home, so Yokas leaves. I'm sure Fred has some alcohol at home if she wants a drink. So then we see Nicole sit up to Bosco and ask if Yokas is gone, and then she goes back down on Bosco. Ew. Ew. Ew. I guess she "discovered" his South Pole.

Ty is in the locker room, and he opens his locker to find the "candy bag" on a shelf. He closes the locker door. What would Maggie do?

Doc is sitting in his car outside the ER. As he waits for Morales to come out, he takes off his wedding ring. Morales, whose hair is down out of a ponytail and all nicely done, comes out and sees him, and he gets out of his car and goes over to her. He offers her a ride home and she tells him, "A ride's not what I had in mind." And they start making out. Oh, I think she has a "ride" in mind, if you know what I mean, and I think you do.

Bobby is walking home and he finds Matt lying among the garbage bags and trash cans. Matt is mumbling, "I screwed up," and he looks drunk. He has blood on his clothing, but it isn't his blood. Bobby holds him and tells him it's okay. Fade to black.
