Well, my bouncy little Ringlets, how does one sum up a bowl of spaghetti? For the recaplet, let's just hit the highlights.
Why-Oh-Why, Wyoming: Remember, at the root of this whole mess is the murder of Bridget's stripper-pal, Shaylene Briggs. Bridget wasn't the only one close to Shaylene. Agent Guyliner was her lover! At first, she was just his C.I. (confidential informant). He persuaded her to go undercover at Macawi's strip club, and she did, but she did a little time under Guyliner's covers too, and he fell in love with her. Guyliner tried to get Shaylene to quit working at Macawi's -- he even proposed they run away together. Being another hooker with a heart of gold, Shaylene didn't want Guyliner to sacrifice his career for her, so she asked that he give her one more shot of getting evidence against Macawi. Macawi then dismembered Shaylene. When Guyliner identified her body...parts, he learned Shaylene was a month pregnant. It's strongly implied Guyliner is the baby daddy, but I'll hit that in the weecap. Anyhow, Guyliner's back in Wyoming, but there's now an ATF agent in charge of a joint ATF/FBI task force and he's harshing Guyliner's mellow.
Paris: Tyler Boytoy is not only too stupid to live; he's too sweet to live. He's so concerned about protecting Shiv and the baby (he doesn't know Shiv's expecting twins), that he steals Shiv's flash drive containing evidence against Martin/Charles and contacts the SEC.
Olivia finds this out from her person inside the SEC, and orders Tyler to come to New York. The writers decide to make Andrew look worse than he's ever possibly going to turn out to be, and the lighting and camera crews play along for good measure. Seriously, Show, why didn't you just put him at a campfire and have him hold a flashlight under his chin? Anyhow, Andrew tells Olivia to do whatever it takes to stop Tyler from turning on them. Olivia then tells Andrew that Malcolm is the one who dug up evidence of their Ponzi scheme, and must have been Bridget-as-Shiv's informant. Andrew is not amused.
Meanwhile, thanks to Malcolm, Bridget has come to the conclusion that living with Andrew might not be the best idea, and moves out of Park Ave. She knows Tyler is coming to New York, so she goes to his hotel but is intercepted by Henry before she can catch up with Ty. Tool Belt that he is, Henry is still enjoying the fact that Bridget doesn't know he knows she's Bridget, so he lays a big kiss and some B.S. story on her. I'm sad to report Malcolm had already gone to Tool Belt for -- get this -- help in protecting Bridget-as-Shiv. Tool Belt reports this to real Shiv. Real Shiv blocks her phone number, calls Malcolm, pretends to be Bridget, and pretty much tells him to get out of her life. I'm crossing my fingers that this phone call will be the clue Malcolm needs to figure out that Shiv is still alive. That said, I don't know how long Malcolm has to live.
Bridget returns to Tyler's hotel. When she sees Andrew approaching, she hides out in her cab for a little while, and then enters. She finds out Tyler's room number, but when she gets to his room, he's dead -- lying in a pool of his own blood. She drops a dime on the murder, then gets back in her cab and calls Malcolm to let him know what's happened. She only reaches his voicemail though, because Malcolm is on the phone with Agent Guyliner, telling him he's ready to testify about Macawi kidnapping him. He hopes that if he and Guyliner can put away Macawi, Bridget will be free. When he finishes his call, Malcolm sees that he has a new message from Bridget, but just then, there's a knock on his door, it's Andrew! Dun dun dun.
I'll be back with the full weecap, tomorrow. In the meantime, please grade the episode at the top of the page and then join us in the show thread. It's bulletproof.
Want more? The full recap starts right below!A lot happens in "You're Way Too Pretty To Go To Jail," so let's get right to it, shall we? We open in Paris, at night. Shiv is suddenly showing (in a pregnancy way, not in a "show, don't tell," way). Tyler Boytoy comes to her room with flowers and apologizes for being a...Ugh. Due to the current level of our national discourse, I've been trying not to use words as a feminine connotation as slurs, but he just up and says one. What to do? What to do?
Tyler: Cindy, I got this. I apologize for being a jealous douchebag when Siobhan's brother took the call. Lying naked. In her bed. Why would I not believe my angel baby mama? I just want to take care of our family.
Shiv: Muahaha. Did you bring the goods on Andrew?
Tyler: Here's a folder full. The consistent rate of return is suspicious, but it's not a smoking gun.
Shiv: I totally hid that smoking gun...um never mind that. I have a flash drive full of numbers that look totally different.
Tyler: Great, let's go right to the authorities.
Shiv: But that would interfere with my other evil plans to get all Andrew's money before the feds seize it.
Tyler: What?
Shiv: I mean, the flash drive isn't here, silly, and certainly not in the purse where I just stowed that folder. Verily, I say to you, I locked the flash-drive in the hotel safe.
Tyler (to audience): Does she think I'm a Tool Belt, or something?
Audience: Well...
Shiv: Here's a book of baby names. Let's just concentrate on the three of us, tonight.
Recapper: First of all, Shiv, don't you mean "four of us"? You are pregnant with twins...
Shiv: Sydney, or whatever your name is, since neither of the babies are Tyler Boytoy's, by using "three of us" I'm actually lying to him -- less.
Recapper: Those are some impressive moral gymnastics. I'm still laughing like a loon at the title of your baby name book, though. Designer Labels. Really?
Shiv: Candy, you're such a peasant.
Recapper: It's Cindy, Bad Buffy.
Shiv: Sorry, Cathy.
Meanwhile in New York, it is also night. Andrew is still explaining the Ponzi scheme to Bridget-as-Shiv. Olivia handles the details, but it was all his idea. They made a series of bad investments. There wasn't enough to cover expenses. He used new investors' money to pay out existing investors. It was supposed to be temporary, but then they economy collapsed. They got in over their heads. However, he's now started a high frequency trading (HFT) program. They can use the extra profit to dig their way out of this hole.
Andrew: Do you like how I'm backlit here, so that my face is shady?
Recapper: No. You are sweetness and light. I refuse to believe you're as bad as you'll appear throughout this episode.
Andrew: Anyhow, I'm really sorry and embarrassed. That's why I lied to you before, Shiv.
Bridget: Um...before?
Andrew: Things were so bad between us, I thought you'd turn me in. But now you're my sweet honey bunny and I can no longer lie to you. Come give me some sugar.
Bridget: Uh yeah. No. I need some...time.
Audience: What a hypocrite. You're on the run from the law and you're not even his actual wife. Don't you think you should be a little more understanding of his past deception? He's coming clean with you now.
The morning in Paris, Siobhan wakes up, but Boytoy is not to her. Instead, there's a note...
Note: PLEASE DON'T HATE ME. I'M DOING WHAT'S BEST FOR THE THREE OF US. TYLER
Recapper: I'd laugh at how many notes and texts on this show are all up-capped like that, but it makes my job so much easier, so thanks, Props Department.
Shiv: I look in my purse and the flash drive is gone. Dammit, Boytoy!
Out on the Paris streets, Boytoy calls Lanfair, his SEC contact, and tells him he's got enough to bring down Martin/Charles, but says he's not giving it up until he's guaranteed immunity. Lanfair needs a little something before he can make such a guarantee.
In this world, there is no time difference between Paris and New York, so it's also morning at Andrew and Nice Buffy's Park Ave digs. Bridget tells Malcolm what Andrew told her, and that she made Andrew stay in the guest room, the night before.
Malcolm: I'm a little surprised you're judging him so harshly, given your own situation.
Bridget: I had to pretend to be Siobhan. Now I can't make things right. It's -- it's exactly how Andrew is feeling. Well, I'm a giant hypocrite.
Audience: This is what we're saying.
Bridget: Right? Especially since he lied to Shiv, but didn't lie to me.
Malcolm: Whoa. Hold up. If he lied to Siobhan, maybe he's not so innocent. What if he was trying to cover his tracks?
Bridget: You mean, maybe Andrew tried to kill my sister? No way. There were woman's footprints in Shiv's office.
Malcolm: Olivia is a vampire, I know, but she's a female one.
Bridget: Andrew confessed. You don't kill to protect a secret you just told someone. Besides, he's not capable of murder.
Malcolm: And yesterday, you didn't think his business dealings were dirty. Look, you have two choices: testify against Bodaway Macawi, or leave and make a clean start somewhere else.
Bridget: I am not going back to my old life and I'm not running again. I've been safe and sound living with Andrew for months. Andrew may be a liar and a crook, but he's not a murderer. He's my honey bunny. If you can't accept that, you should leave.
Apparently, it's also the same time in Denver, Colorado, that it is in New York and Paris. Agent Victory "Guyliner" Machado, is at the FBI Field Office, when Agent Torrence welcomes him to the Bodaway Macawi task force. The task force is a joint venture between the FBI and the ATF. Torrence is chief fed in charge. He's also a bit of a jerk. He mocks Guyliner, reminds him that Office Jimmy confessed to murdering Shaylene Briggs, and rubs Bridget's escape in Guyliner's face.
We flashback to sixteen months ago, at Harry's Fun Room (no, really, that's the name of the strip club) in Laramie, Wyoming. Look, there's Bridget as a stripper. She saunters over to Guyliner, sitting at the bar, leans over and asks, "Has anyone ever told you, you have amazing eyes?"
Xander: Is it just me, or did she sound exactly like Buffy, that time we were dancing, and she asked me if she'd ever thanked me for saving her life?
Recapper: Um...little bit, yeah. But skeedaddle. You're not on this show, kiddo.
Anyhow, Guyliner is giggling, and flattered, but when Bridget offers to "rock his world' he's all thanks but no thanks. Bridget gives him a bitter little, "Whatever," then sashays off in search of another client. Soon, Guyliner spots Shaylene Briggs (Nikki Deloach). She offers him a lap dance or some sort of strip club experience in the "Champagne Court." Shaylene started dancing ten years ago, hoping to make enough money to get her real estate license. Guyliner tells her she can still make a change. They soon talk about why he's there -- to recruit her as a C.I. to inform on Bodaway Macawi. They're very flirty-wirty with each other. Finally, Shaylene agrees to be his C.I. Guyliner tells her she'll take a job at Macawi's strip club -- Club Caged.
Gramercy Park West: Malcolm goes to Henry "Tool Belt" Butler, of all people, to get help for Bridget, whom he is still pretending is Shiv. He tells Tool Belt that Martin/Charles isn't on the up and up, and that "Shiv" confronted Andrew. Malcolm is afraid Andrew will hurt "Shiv." Tool Belt says that's crazy, but still wonders why Malcolm would come to him. Mal admits that "Shiv" told him about her affair with Tool Belt. Henry's all, "It is over." Malcolm says he must have loved her once, and can't want her dead. As the only other person who knows the truth, maybe Tool Belt can persuade "Shiv" to put some distance between herself and Andrew.
Over at Martin Charles, Olivia is stunned that Andrew has told "Siobhan" the truth about the Ponzi scheme. They bicker and there's a lot of financial talk. Andrew says that by switching from scheme to HFT, at least they'll be able to give their investors something when the whole plan falls to pieces. Olivia just wants to end up on a beach somewhere, with a boatload of money. Me too, Sister Vampiress. Me, too. You must have one of those Daywalker rings, like Stefan and Damon. Andrew says that used to be his plan too, but now all he wants is to be with Shiv. Olivia reminds him that while he's currently happy with his wife, it wasn't that long ago they were ready to take "much more drastic measures."
Andrew: It's different. She has a soul now. We're not ready for the nuclear option.
Just then, Bridget enters the Martin/Charles offices. She's there to see Andrew. Claudine explains he's in a meeting, but says "Mrs. Martin" can wait in his office. Bridget agrees, but on her way, she spots Andrew and Olivia. Hiding around a corner, she hears Olivia tell Andrew that her SEC contact reports that they have a mole in the Paris branch -- Tyler. Andrew says, "I don't care what it takes. Make sure Tyler Barrett doesn't talk. We cut to commercial, so Nice Buffy can catch her breath.
It's nighttime in New York, now. As Bridget packs her bags at Park Ave. she calls Malcolm to fill him in on what she overheard at Martin/Charles.
Malcolm: I'm all, Remind me who Tyler Barrett is, again.
Audience: It's confusing dear, we know.
Bridget: He's the Paris Martin/Charles guy who was boinking my sister.
Malcolm: How many guys was your sister sleeping with?
Bridget: Remember I'm an ex-stripper who was also possibly a prostitute and then hear me when I say, "Too many." This one, though -- he knew about the Ponzi scheme. Anyhow, I still don't believe Andrew would hurt me, but I'm packing up and am going to stay at a hotel for a few days. And I'm already on tracking down Tyler.
Meanwhile, it's also night in Paris. Tyler calls Lanfair and leaves him a message, telling him that Martin/Charles has ordered him to come to New York.
Back in New York, where it's still night, Andrew arrives home to find Bridget and her full suitcase, ready to leave. Andrew asks why she stopped Martin/Charles, but took off before he could see her. She deflects with a lie about a forgotten appointment. It's then that Andrew mentions her suitcase. When he asks if she's leaving, Bridget says she's just going for a few days. Andrew begs her to stay and says he'll sleep in the guest room for as long as she wants. She just doesn't feel comfortable right now. Andrew can't imagine what she thinks he'd do.
Audience: Clearly, he doesn't realize that he's being lit such that he appears guilty as sin.
Recapper: Right? It's all very film noir, but so much so that it reinforces my opinion that Andrew isn't going to turn out to be all that bad -- just bad enough so that he can forgive Bridget if/when she comes clean with him. That said, I do wonder why the lighting director didn't go all the way and have him shine a flashlight under his chin.
Bridget: I don't really know what you people are talking about, but I've got to get the hell out of here, now.
Andrew: Shiv, if what I told you gets out, it will affect you, too. We've both spent Martin/Charles money.
Bridget: That's not what this is about. I just need a little time.
Siobhan calls Tool Belt and tells him about Tyler stealing the flash drive and going to NYC. She says Martin/Charles puts everyone up at the Soho Diamond, then tells Henry to get back the flash drive, however he can. She also wants to make sure Bridget and Tyler's paths don't cross. Henry thinks that's unlikely, but Shiv insists. Henry then tells her about Malcolm's visit, and that Malcolm and Bridget know Andrew has a secret he needs to protect. He figures Bridget knows about the Ponzi scheme. Shiv says, "That's good," but when Henry tells her that Malcolm is worried Bridget's life is in danger, Shiv is concerned. "That's not so good. Malcolm is getting way close to the truth. We can't have him around to protect Bridget." Henry's face looks disturbed by this, but he says nothing. Shiv: "We need Malcolm gone."
Bridget calls Claudine at Martin/Charles and lies that she's going to arrange another dinner with Tyler when he gets to town. Claudine informs her he'll be arriving at the Soho Diamond, tomorrow at noon.
In Casper, Wyoming, Guyliner and ATF Agent Conroy (Chad Michael Collins) are staking out a warehouse, because Agent Torrence wants to get Macawi on cigarette smuggling or something. It's all Why-oh-Why-Wyoming to me. Guyliner flashes back to Eleven months ago, outside Club Caged, in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Shaylene finishes her shift 40 minutes late and gets in his car. Oh, that's stealthy, Guyliner. No wonder this poor girl is going to get killed. Anyhow, it's clear from their talk (and smooching) that Guyliner and Shaylene are now involved. She says she has something to tell him (she's totally pregnant, right) but then he says he wants her to quit the case and run away with him. She doesn't want him to lose his career over her. Macawi has a party coming up tomorrow and wants Shaylene and Bridget to dance. Shaylene asks Guyliner to let her go back one more time, and points out that backing out might make Bodaway suspicious. Guyliner reluctantly agrees to the plan and then asks what her news is. Shaylene tells him it will keep, but assures him it isn't bad, and then there's more smooching.
SIDEBAR FOR TV WRITERS & CASTING DIRECTORS: Did you just see how adorably sexy Nestor Carbonell was, in that scene? In future roles, can he play a character with a love life that exists in more than flashbacks with a dead girl? Please?
Martin/Charles, morning. Olivia has brought in an outside security firm, and tells Andrew that last month someone entered three incorrect passwords, in a row, into his computer. She says they didn't manage to get in, but they'll have to check his home system, too. She asks if Shiv told him how she found out about the Ponzi scheme. Andrew admits she's had suspicions for a while, but he can't believe she hacked their system. Olivia says it wasn't Shiv; it was Malcolm Ward. Actually guys, although Malcolm got information off Olivia's computer it was Real-Siobhan who entered those three incorrect passwords into Andrew's office computer. And later, she got into his home computer. They don't listen. Olivia tells Andrew the security expert found evidence that Malcolm accessed a number of files, including "a certain algorithm" on her P.C. She then tells him her SEC source informs her Tyler Barrett has ironclad evidence of their wrong doing. She's off to deal with Tyler, now. She suggests he think about the situation with Shiv and Malcolm, because while maybe Shiv would stay silent for Andrew's sake, what would motivate Malcolm to do the same.
Real Siobhan: Meanwhile, I call Malcolm and pretend to be Bridget. I blast him for talking to Henry about me and betraying my trust. Who the hell do you think you are?
Malcolm: I'm all, chill, Bridget. After our fight...
Siobhan: You told Tool Belt about our fight? Why not just tell him I'm Bridget?
Malcolm: I'm just trying to protect you.
Siobhan: Please. I just got that Tool Belt out of my life. At the same time, you're trying to poison me against Andrew. You are so jealous of my other relationships. You're trying to destroy the life I've made for myself, here.
Willow: Say, you all didn't happen to do a bunch of drugs, did ya?
Malcolm: That's what I'm saying.
Recapper: Malcolm, could you please begin to suspect you're talking to Siobhan, or at least that someone is holding Bridget at gunpoint? You did, after all, notice this call is coming from a blocked number.
Siobhan: I hate to tell you, but I'm more lucid than I've ever been. Go find someone else to save, Malcolm. We're done.
Malcolm's Expression: Do not worry, audience. I know there was something hinky about that call.
At Martin/Charles, Claudine tells Andrew she sent the information he requested -- on Malcolm Ward -- to his cell phone. Poor noodle misses his nice, faux wife, so he asks if there's been any word from her. Claudine tells him "Shiv" called last night, to find out where Tyler Barrett was staying, because she wanted to arrange a dinner for the three of them. When smoke starts pouring out Andrew's nostrils and ears, Claudine wonders if she did anything wrong. Andrew says she didn't, but tells Claudine to tell him everything Shiv said. Since I've already told you. Let's cut over to the...
Soho Diamond Hotel. Bridget arrives, wearing a green overcoat that must have been designed by the makers of Glad trash bags, and yet it still flatters her more than that Reem Acra wedding gown. She spots a couple making out in the lobby and flashes back to all her lovey-dovey times with Andrew. When the flashback is over, poor Nice Buffy is so sad and lonely for her Welsh Rarebit.
We cut to Tyler. Lanfair is finally returning his call. Lanfair wants Tyler to head straight to his office. He's reviewed the teaser information Tyler sent and has signed off on immunity.
Lanfair: Don't worry. You're bulletproof.
Audience: He's totally going to die by the end of this episode, right?
Recapper: Yep.
Back in the hotel lobby, Bridget spots Tyler, but before she can get to him, Henry intercepts her. Tool Belt that he is, Henry is still enjoying the fact that Bridget doesn't know he knows she's Bridget, so he lays a big kiss and some B.S. story on her, about this is the hotel he used to come to, to write. She would promise to stay away, but she never could. Now, Henry and Shiv used to sneak off to a hotel. My deadline is short, so I don't have time to comb through the old weecaps and find its name, but I'm nearly certain it was nothing at all like the Soho Diamond. I am hoping that Tool Belt just outsmarted himself here, and that when Bridget gets some time to think, she'll remember the name of the hotel where Henry and Shiv met. Bridget soon takes her leave. The Soho Diamond must have the world's longest lobby, because that wasn't the shortest scene, and yet Tyler is just reaching the sidewalk when Bridget walks away from Henry.
Tyler hails a taxi, but a black car drives up to the curb. Olivia's in the back. She hisses at him to get in. Bridget gets outside, just in time to see Tyler disappear into the backseat of the car. I don't think she sees that he's with the Vampiress. Bridget and her trash bag coat hail a cab. Henry watches from the sidewalk.
Back inside the black car, Olivia fires Tyler. When he tries to explain, she starts talking about how he's taking what he "thinks" he knows to the SEC. "Edward Lanfair says you'll be 'bulletproof' -- correct?" She points out that as director of European Operations, Tyler will be implicated, if the company goes down, and Lanfair will reneg on their deal.
Olivia: Since Juliet isn't in the episode, I get to say this week's title, and tell Tyler, "You're way too pretty to go to jail." You'd better give me those files now, don't you think?
Tyler: I hand Olivia the paper files. When she asks if that's everything, I make eyes at the USB stick in my suitcase. I hope she doesn't notice my flop sweat when she says that for my own sake, I'd better be telling her the truth.
Olivia: Muahahahaha.
Back in Why-oh-Why, Wyoming, or possibly Colorado, Torrence gives Guyliner and Conroy crap for staking out a liquor store when they were supposed to be focusing on cigarette sales. Guyliner has a photo of Officer Jimmy's car outside a liquor store. He points out that the photo was taken a half hour before Shaylene Briggs was murdered. The store is 50 miles from Club Caged, so there's no way Jimmy murdered Shaylene, regardless of his confession. Torrence starts a pissing match with Guyliner over his fixation on the murder. Guyliner just wants to get to the truth -- that's why he's in this line of work. Torrence is all, I heard it's because you like banging strippers. Guyliner maintains his cool and his stance on catching Macawi, then takes his leave. Out in the corridor, he leans against a wall and flashes back to...
Eleven months ago, at the Sweetwater County Morgue, in Wyoming. Shaylene has been dismembered. Sheesh, that's gruesome. Guyliner goes to identify her body...parts. The M.E. says he can use dental records, but Guyliner gets all misty. He needs to see her. He exposits about the death for a minute, then asks the M.E. to do what he can for Shaylene; she had no family or friends. The M.E. twigs to Guyliner's feelings for Shaylene and how could he not? The poor guy is drowning in sorrow. Since the M.E. spends all his time with the dead, he forgets the feelings of the living, and tells Guyliner, "I doubt this matters to your case, but she was four weeks pregnant."
Story Editors: We flashback to the scene in which Guyliner asks Shaylene what she wanted to tell him, because we're afraid you're very stupid, and can't pick up this plot point, for yourselves.
Back in the M.E.'s office, Guyliner's eyes break our hearts as he nods and flees the morgue.
The flashback within a flashback is over. We're back in the FBI office. From the corridor, Guyliner looks at Shaylene's picture on the evidence board. We cut to...
New York, Soho Diamond Exterior. From inside his hotel room, Tyler calls Shiv (back in Paris). He tells her he went to the SEC, because all he cares about is protecting their family, but Olivia got to him first. He tells her she got everything, which seems curious to me, since Tyler didn't give her the flash drive -- at least not when he gave her the file. Shiv is relieved when Tyler says he didn't say anything about Shiv living in Paris. He's tearful as he tells her Olivia has someone inside the SEC. "What are we going to do, Siobhan?"
Cut to the Soho Diamond exterior. Bridget's cabbie brings her back. She starts to get out, but when she sees Andrew heading into the hotel, she remains in the car and tells the cabbie to keep the meter on, and stay put. Her phone signals she missed a call and has a new voicemail from Andrew.
Andrew's Voicemail Message: It's me. I'm not sure what to say to you. I know this has been a problem of my own making, and I have no right to defend myself, but I wasn't the only one keeping secrets, was I? I know you've been in contact with Tyler Barrett. If the truth gets out, I will lose everything -- my company, my friends, my daughter. I won't let you destroy my life.
We cut to Tyler's room. He's still on the phone, apologizing to Shiv. "I should have trusted you." Shiv tells him Olivia and Andrew are dangerous. She wants to know how he left things with Olivia. He says he gave her the files, but not the flash drive. Okay. Then that negates my question from earlier. There are so many details in this episode -- details that could be key, I am afraid I'm going to overlook something. Shiv tells Tyler not to let the flash drive out of his sight, and get on the first flight back to Paris. When he hangs up, he mutters to himself and takes out the flash drive for a little worried fondle. He steps into another room. When he returns to the hotel bedroom, Tyler sees someone we can't and says, "What the hell are you doing here?"
Bridget finally gets out of the cab and heads into the hotel. She finds out Tyler's room number, but when she gets to his room, he's dead -- lying in a pool of his own blood. We cut to commercial, to ratchet up the tension.
After the break, sirens sound as Bridget returns to her taxi and tells the cabbie to, "Just drive." We cut to...
Agent Guyliner is sitting in his office, wherever it is, when he gets a call from Malcolm.
We cut back to Bridget -- still in the cab. She makes a call and reaches Malcolm's voicemail. She tells him about finding Tyler dead and says she made an anonymous call to the police.
Back in his office, Guyliner listens to Malcolm, who says he's decided to press kidnapping charges against Macawi. When Guyliner wonder what brought about this change of heart, Malcolm says, "I realized the only reason Bridget went on the run is because of Bodaway. Whatever kind of life she's living now -- wherever she is -- I can't imagine it's what she's planned for herself. If Bridget doesn't feel like she can testify, I will. Once Bodaway's in jail, maybe she'll finally feel like she can return to her old life." Guyliner tells Mal he'll take care of him. He tells him to go straight to the New York FBI field office. He'll be on the flight out. When the call ends, Guyliner gives us some more great eyes. I can't even... The show hasn't, in my opinion, properly used Nestor Carbonell, but he shines in this episode.
Back in the cab, Bridget is still leaving Malcolm a message. "I think you were right. I think Andrew and Olivia might be capable of murder."
As Malcolm packs up his laptop, he gets an alert that Bridget has left him a voicemail.
We cut to the black car. Olivia sits inside, holding Tyler's flash drive!
Back in Malcolm's room, he's about to play Bridget's message, when there's a knock on the door. He opens it to find Andrew, his face half obscured by shadow. Fade to black. Grr argh.
I'll see you week. In the meantime, please grade the episode at the top of the page and then join us in the show thread. It's bulletproof.
