Janice: Even Crazier Than Speidi

By DeAnn Welker

We're back at the sawing. Patti recaps the competition for us in her confessional. The women get through their log and get their math problem. It's a really long addition and subtraction problem that will give them a four-digit number that will unlock the box. Torrie says math isn't her best subject and men are usually really good. Torrie has confidence in Patti, because she knows she'll be good with numbers. John and Stephen have different tactics. John wants to go across the problem in order, but Stephen wants to do all the negative numbers and all the positives and then subtract one from the other. Stephen keeps bossing John around, and John reminds us that Stephen had agreed he'd be captain, but here, it became John versus Stephen. John says he let Stephen do it his way six times. They are literally taking more than 20 minutes to do this math problem. That is ridiculous. John pushes Stephen out of his way and does the problem. But the girls get the box open. John kicks their log. Torrie thinks it's so funny how pissed John was. He says he felt like he lost Game 7 of the NBA finals and he had the better team. With a completely straight face he says: "I'm not going to be able to sleep well." Dramatic pause. "For the month." Oh, John, you'll get over it time you have to touch a tarantula.

Heading back to camp, John says they didn't work as a team. Patti asks John to calm down, and not be that guy with Stephen. There's a lot of discussion about what happened. Janice doesn't think it's funny to watch John get mad, because he's a bad sport. Lou says he won't call them sore losers, but they did have a hard time shaking it off. John says he was playing against two girls, who beat him at sawing a log. He's all, "Come on, man!" Patti tells John this is why he won those NBA championships: because he doesn't like to lose. Janice taunts John for being a poor sport. Back with Myleene and Damien, where they tell us what's coming up after the commercials. I will give you a hint: Drama! And bickering! Janice is involved.

Myleene and Damien welcome us back again. They're on the bridge outside camp, and are going to give Lou a big decision to make soon. Then they send us back into camp. Someone wonders what they were doing tonight, and Janice says more people will complain about her for wanting to eat first. Patti tells her not to let people get to her, but Janice says Patti's part of it, and it really hurts her feelings. She says she's just not going to eat anymore. That'll show them! Janice cries in her confessional about how mean everyone is and how she's being "scapegoated." Everyone eats dinner. Lou tries to give Janice food, and she says, "Pass." John tells her not to be like this. She says she's very upset. He tells her she has to get over it, because they're going to be here. Janice says she's never been treated like this by a group, after what she's been through with her illness. And she would have more compassion if anyone else were in her position. She says she went to bed a few nights without dinner, but Lou doesn't remember that. She is depressed by being labeled, but she's not that at all.
