TWoP: Well it's good that you have a backup career.
Colfer: Really, right! I never thought about that, but yeah, it really is.

TWoP: Did you ever imagine when you signed on for this little show that it would turn into this insane phenomenon?
Colfer: You know, I kind of had almost an emotional moment today, because I was standing right in front of Big Ben, and when I was in high school growing up in Clovis, California, Big Ben was on the cover of my school binder that I had every year. So no, it's been the most surreal Cinderella-like experience ever. I don't think I ever expected all of this to happen.

TWoP: The schedule seems very exhausting. You did a mall tour, then you filmed the show, then you're recording, choreography, and now the tour. It seems very demanding. Is it all worth it at the end of the day?
Colfer: Absolutely. It is a lot of work, and there are days when we're so tired, we literally fall asleep standing up. But to get to go to these places where kids scream and tell you things like you're their hero and you inspire them, you can't beat that.

TWoP: Have you only had positive fan reaction? Have you had any crazies yet?
Colfer: Well, the fans here in London are a little extreme, but I haven't had negative ones, only scary ones. People like to grab me when I go outside.

TWoP: You seem like the kind of person who women would just want to hug.
Colfer: They do, they do. Letting go is the trick. I'm fine when the hug me, they just need to learn to let go.

TWoP: Is there a song that you're desperate to sing season that you really hope they put in?
Colfer: Well, Kurt's done "Defying Gravity" and "Rose's Turn," so I think "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" is in line, I can only imagine. Or some ridiculous other female ballad would be fun.

TWoP: Have you stolen any of Kurt's wardrobe? There's been some pretty fabulous pieces there. Colfer: Um... a few things might have come up missing. For the must part, I'm so different from him, I would never wear half the things he would wear. And since the show's gotten so big, I wouldn't want to wear anything that would draw attention to me when I'm out in public. But I did keep the Gaga shoes for memorabilia.

TWoP: Or just to wear around.
Colfer: Yeah, when I'm walking around the house. Or grocery shopping.

TWoP: So you're on Twitter. How's that been? Are you ever afraid of Twittering something late at night and being like, "Oh my God, I can't believe I said that" the day?
Colfer: No, because I'm very, very anal about my Twitter. I always read it twenty times before I tweet it, and I try to come up with every possible way someone can take it and turn it into a negative, wrong thing. But for the most part, I like to say stupid, funny things -- or things that I think are funny. But Twitter's been great for me.

TWoP: After the show's over -- fifteen year from now or whatever -- do you have a dream musical you'd like to star in?
Colfer: Well, I just saw to Normal, and I loved the role of the son in that. I would love to do that .

TWoP: So basically you love making people cry?
Colfer: I guess! What's wrong with me? But if Disney ever did Pinocchio on Broadway, I better get a call. That's all I'm saying. I just think that I would be perfect for that. I look so much like him that it would honestly be a crime if I didn't get to do that.

TWoP: As much as I love Matt Morrison and Lea Michelle, I'm a little sad that we didn't get to see you on the Tony awards.
Colfer: Oh, thank you. I would have loved to have done it.

TWoP: "Rose's Turn" there would have been perfect.
Colfer:Ah, that would have been amazing. I wouldn't have been amazing, but the experience would have been amazing. I'd be shaking the entire time.

TWoP: Did you get to see the awards? What did you think?
Colfer: Well, I was in Europe. I was here when it aired. But we did all get together and YouTube their performances. And they were just at home. All of us knew how crazy-talented they are, so it was great to see them in their own environment.

TWoP: Who do you hang out with mostly on set? Who's the most fun?
Colfer: Our hair and makeup ladies are really fun. I hang out with them a lot. And of course Amber [Riley]. Amber and I are BFFs. Pretty much anyone, whoever's there. Jane [Lynch] and I are always talking about something, but it's pretty much whoever's there. We're all pretty close.

TWoP: Do you have much time to watch TV? Any favorite shows?
Colfer: I am obsessed with Nurse Jackie. That is my favorite show that's on.

TWoP: So you like the little twisted stuff?
Colfer: I do! There must be something wrong with me. I love it. I quote it every day and annoy everyone.

TWoP: What do you imagine doing when you finally get a break? Any movies?
Colfer: I would love to do a movie. I would love to do a huge action movie. That's my dream: A huge action movie with lots of car chases and violent scenes. That would be great. And I would really love, as a long-term goal for me, to start writing my own stuff.

TWoP: What's your family like? Are they local celebrities now?
Colfer: I hope not, because one of the things I get really embarrassed about is how much they probably brag about me. I remember when I was living at home doing school plays, speeches, and debate, I'd be embarrassed because they would brag about me nonstop. I can't imagine now. I'm so glad I don't live at home, just for that reason.

TWoP: They must be very proud.
Colfer: Usually, I get messages and stuff from people saying, "I saw your dad today! He told me you were doing this, this, and this!" and I'm like, "I'm sorry. He probably took an hour of your time just to tell you about me." [Laughs]

TWoP: I meant to ask you about the choreography: How hard is it to learn those steps? Are you a natural dancer?
Colfer: Not at first. I think the whole "Single Ladies" saga turned me into one, because it was dancing boot camp, that experience. But it doesn't take too long for me to get the dance, but it does take a long time for us as a group to nail it down.

TWoP: Are we ever going to hear a solo Chris CD?
Colfer: I have absolutely no interest in doing one, because I've never once considered myself a singer. I've always considered myself an actor who had singing in his back pocket if he ever needed it. If I were to ever do one, it would be something for the fans. It wouldn't be really for me. I don't know what kind of songs I would do. Chris Colfer Sings the Female Ballads? I don't know what it'd be called.

TWoP: I read that you did a gender-reversed Sweeney Todd so maybe something like that.
Colfer: One of my biggest dreams is to take that to Broadway, but I didn't want to bring it up earlier, because I didn't want to have to explain it.

TWoP: I read about it and thought it was really cool!
Colfer: Yea, it was a lot of fun.

TWoP: I loved that show and again, it was a little dark and twisted.
Colfer:Absolutely, yea. You got to love everything a little dark and twisted.
