Hey, for once we don't open an episode with Felicity making a tape! Knoll is lying on a couch, telling someone about his problems. He's doing the whole "a friend of mine has this problem" thing that hasn't worked since The Brady Bunch. Knoll explains that there's a guy on his floor who really likes this girl, but that she keeps coming to him to talk about another guy. A voice suggests that Knoll's "friend" has that "nice guy friend" thing going on. Knoll says that the guy swears there is a spark there, but that he can't make it happen. Another voice says that this RA meeting is supposed to be about the new fire code. See what they did there? With Knoll lying down and the off-screen voice, you thought he was talking to a counselor or something. Unfortunately, Toni Pavone doesn't appear this season. Some guy tells the fire code girl to chill out. Marissa Ribisi doesn't understand Knoll's "friend's" problem. Knoll says that his friend doesn't know what to do. Marissa suggests that his friend "draw the line." And we have an episode title! The chill out guy agrees. Some other guy suggests that Knoll's friend say, "I like you, but I don't want to be your girlfriend. I don't want to talk to you about this other guy anymore. So, stop it! Stop talking to me about this other guy!" Knoll looks around, and everyone seems to agree with this advice.
So now we get Felicity making the tape. Felicity tells Sally that "buttinsky" is a weird word, and that it's actually in the dictionary. Felicity reads the definition -- "a troublesome meddler" -- but I'm sure you all know what it means. Who hasn't heard that word before? I guess Felicity really did lead a sheltered life. Felicity realizes that she is a buttinsky, and that it's ruined her whole life.
FVO continues over scenes of Felicity working at Dean & Deluca. FVO explains that she looked up and saw Ben walking down the street. We see Felicity smiling at Ben, but he ignores her and keeps walking. Felicity tells Sally that she is "a troublesome meddler"; she adds that Ben is still mad at her for rewriting his essay, and that she doesn't think he'll ever forgive her.
Elena's on hold with financial aid. When she hears a knock at her door, she stuffs a bunch of paperwork under her pillow before answering. Blair appears with a box, and she tries to get rid of him. He hands her a record that she's been looking for, and she's excited but admits that she doesn't have a record player. Blair reveals that he has one in the box, and tells her that he bought it used, so she shouldn't worry about the cost. Elena tells him that she really can't accept it. Blair theorizes that she doesn't like bald guys, and says that he might grow hair for her. Just then, someone picks up the phone, and Elena asks the person to hold. She tells Blair that she can't accept his gift because she doesn't know whether she's staying at school. Blair wonders what she's talking about, as she pushes him out the door. Elena promises to call him later.
Krakow sits down at a table with Julie, Felicity, and Elena. He's all excited because some alumnus is coming to speak to his film class, and that Krakow's film was selected to be shown. Felicity congratulates him. Krakow says he knows it's a long shot, but apparently last year a sophomore got a movie deal in a similar situation. Elena grouses, "Don't get your hopes up." Krakow comments on her attitude, and there's an awkward pause. Krakow asks Julie whether she'll write some music for his movie. She agrees, and says that she's proud of him. They kiss, and Krakow leaves to do some work. Felicity gives Julie a look, and Julie says she knows that kissing in public is "like a statement." Elena asks whether they've screwed yet. Felicity is shocked and then apologizes to Julie, who admits that they haven't, but adds that she likes him. Felicity smiles at her, but then her face falls when she sees Ben in line to get food. Julie asks, "So what's going on? Are you and Ben..." Felicity fills in, "Screwing? No. Talking? No." Felicity excuses herself from the table.
Felicity walks up to Ben and asks whether he's not talking to her. Ben says that he's talking to her right now. Felicity invites him to sit at their table, but Ben says he's getting his food to go, and takes off.
While they listen to "Up On The Roof" for no apparent reason, Felicity talks to Knoll about the Ben situation. Felicity thinks that before the paper thing happened, something was developing between the two of them. Knoll pretends to listen, but distractedly taps his fingers on his leg. Felicity worries that Ben is ignoring her, and asks for any advice. Knoll doesn't respond at first, but then says there's something he has to do. After a pause, Knoll says, "I'm going to draw..." He stops, and Felicity encourages him to go on. Knoll says that he's going to draw a comparison between what she's going through and something that happened to a friend. Felicity brightens at this. Knoll pauses for a while and then advises Felicity to go to Ben's apartment and say that she left something there, and while they're looking for it, they'll have a chance at a conversation. Felicity smiles and gives Knoll a hug, telling him, "You are such a good friend. I can't stand it." Knoll rolls his eyes and replies, "Yeah, me either."
Felicity walks into her room, only to be immediately assaulted by Meghan, asking if Felicity touched her box. Ah, the box. Felicity doesn't know what Meghan is talking about, but Meghan is all upset because her box moved, and calls it an invasion of privacy. Felicity wonders why their room is a double, since it's big enough to be two rooms, and has two doors. Hell, it's big enough to house a small family. Meghan tells her not to change the subject, but Felicity says that there wouldn't be a privacy issue if there were a wall. Meghan announces that she's taking her box with her. Felicity asks her to please do that, but Meghan says that reverse psychology won't work on her, and leaves. With the box.

Felicity totally busts into Knoll's room in the middle of the night, demanding to know what right he has to draw the line. Knoll sleepily asks whether Felicity is going to force him to talk about Ben. Felicity asks whether Knoll is happy with "a conditional friendship," and accuses him of setting boundaries in their conversations. Knoll clarifies that he's setting one boundary. Felicity realizes that it's because he has feelings for her. Knoll claims that he's happy to be friends with her as long as it's not all about Ben. Felicity throws Hannah in his face. Knoll admits that he still has a long-distance girlfriend, but it's complicated, since he has feelings for Felicity. Felicity wonders when it became all about Ben, and wants to know how Knoll can insist that he's fine and still have feelings for her. Knoll points out that she's doing the same thing to Ben, because she was fine being friends, and still "doing his homework for him and following him around like some lovesick schoolgirl." Felicity screeches, "You know what? Maybe I am a lovesick schoolgirl." What a terrible comeback. I hate to say it, but Knoll is totally right. Felicity stomps out.
Blair and Ben test some sort of game that Sean invented, while Sean tries to explain the rules. Ben asks whether Blair has talked to Elena. Blair says that Felicity is helping him out. Ben rolls his eyes over Felicity. Blair asks what's wrong, and points out that Felicity pushes Ben's buttons. Sean still blathers about the rules. Blair says that Ben might think Felicity is trouble, but she's got a good heart and Blair likes her. Ben tosses a game piece, and Sean calls for overtime, but Ben and Blair have had enough.
In another RA meeting, Marissa says that she thinks one of her advisees is running a sex line from her room, because there is "constant exaggerated moaning" coming from the room. At first, Marissa thought that she was "a real self-satisfier," but now she thinks differently. Knoll brings up his "friend" again, saying that he drew the line. Marissa asks what happened. Knoll says that the girl got pissed off, so his "friend" is thinking about going back and redrawing the line. Everyone is upset about that idea. Marissa explains that would risk the girl drawing her own line, and that his "friend" needs to stick with the first line.
Julie plays guitar while Krakow listens. Julie finishes and Krakow tells her that the music is fantastic. Julie looks pleased and launches into another piece she has written for a different scene in the movie. Krakow watches her play, then leans forward and kisses her. Julie manages to keep playing while he is kissing her. Finally, she puts down the guitar and lays back and Krakow gets on top of her. He keeps trying to put his hand up her shirt, but she keeps grabbing his hand and moving it. Things begin to get a little more intense, and Julie stops Krakow, explaining that she wants to go slow. Krakow agrees and backs off.
