Real Real Estate, Trump Style
By Miss Alli | Season 1 | Episode 7 | Aired on 2004.02.19
This week's challenge is to renovate and rent apartments in Brooklyn. (It's where all the cool people live these days, I hear.) Troy outmaneuvers Katrina in a way that doesn't even really matter, but gets her so mad that she loses her concentration entirely. So on second thought, it mattered a little. Assorama takes a two-inch piece of drywall to the head and acts all Regarding Henry about it so that she doesn't have to clean the toilet. Protg, which has been allowed to kidnap Amy in order to even out the teams again, manages the win under Troy's leadership, while Katrina foams at the mouth after her declarations of natural superiority prove to be mere delusions and her team gets spanked. She drags Boyfriend Bill into the Boardroom with her, which means that this is war, and she is my arch-browed nemesis. She also takes Tammy, though, after Tammy voices what everyone in the room already knows, which is that Trump's call that Katrina got "duped" by Troy is right on target. One woman's disloyalty is another woman's inescapable truth, you know. Trump isn't happy with Katrina for passing off the negotiating on a real estate task when she's, you know, a real estate agent. He's not happy with Boyfriend Bill for not getting the rent he perhaps could have. He's not happy with Tammy for, I suspect, being a complete space cadet, but he tells her that it's all about the fact that she was "disloyal." Tammy wasn't long for this world after the "celebrities and Carson Daly" debacle, but her firing in this episode is oddly dissatisfying, considering how wonderful it is when Katrina tries to shove a business plan at Carolyn in the Boardroom and Carolyn looks at it as if it is wrapped in rotten meat. Ah, Carolyn. You're a hater at heart. Jump on in with us; the water's fine.
