It is another week in the Top Model house, and Chris still feels bad about punching people in the nuts when they first moved in. He tells us he's going to play it cool now, because if there were ever a guy who was well-suited to play it cool… well, it's definitely not Chris. Also not playing it cool is Marvin, who is upset about the elimination of close friends Jeremy and Kanani and just cries and cries. The folks in the house are very caring and try to comfort him through his abandonment issues, except for Cory who is basically like, "Get it together, girl."
In this week's somewhat convoluted challenge, the models go to Melrose Avenue where Kelly Cutone administers a trivia challenge with some pretty basic questions about fashion. For each question they get right the models (who have stripped down to their underwear right in the middle of the street) get $25 on a MyEveryNeed.com gift card. When the quiz is over, they use those gift cards to go shopping at nearby stores and clothe themselves, and the winner gets another gift card from MyEveryNeed.com, which I still have trouble believing is a real thing. Most of the contestants have at least $75 on their cards, but poor Phil is stuck with only $25, which apparently only buys you a pair of ripped up women's leggings and a t-shirt. He is told he looks like a cross-dressing Neanderthal, and Kelly lectures that this is not a comedy contest. Don charms guest judge Monica Rose with his lady killing ways and wins the challenge. In addition to the gift card, he gets to go out for ice cream with two friends, and chooses Marvin and Renee, trying to convince us in the process that they have a flirty thing going on. Though I guess Renee was kind of charmed that time when Marvin licked her face.
While Jiana freaks out about her low challenge score, Marvin gets really sullen about the fact that Chris got a better score than him, calling it unfair since Chris used feedback that judges were giving other contestants to change up his look before he was evaluated. Apparently Marvin has been getting a wee bit aggressive, which is another sign that he might not be mentally tough enough to survive this competition. Chris and Marvin argue, with Marvin talking about Chris's acne and Chris calling Marv a monkey. So much for playing it cool. Chris also pisses off the ladies by showering in their bathroom, and basically is annoying the crap out of everyone per usual.
For their photo shoot, the models go to Lanark Art Gallery where this exhibit of Tyra posing as other supermodels is up. Today they will be living art installations, which means they'll wear very little as buckets of paint are thrown on them. And it is a LOT of paint. It's actually a pretty cool shoot, though the models who are doused in red paint have to be fierce while trying not to give Carrie realness. While Jourdan, Renee and Nina do an amazing job, Marvin, Jiana and Phil struggle. And poor Phil -- he gets a beard trim to make him look less like Jesus, but then is put in what looks like a diaper. He lands in the bottom two with Jiana, who has been on a downswing lately and also has trouble with the paint since she hates being sticky. And with these maybe-lovers on the chopping block together, it's Jiana who is sent home by one-tenth of a point.
We enter with the models in their post-elimination shuttle ride home, reminiscing about the elimination of Jeremy and Kanani. While a somber Don says that they all should help to keep each other strong, Chris pipes in with the rather odd and out of context comment, "I don't think one person means to hurt anybody." It turns out he's still feeling remorseful about how he hit the guys in the nuts when they first moved into the house. Ah, memories. Chris tells us that he wasn't himself at first, and was just acting foolish. In retrospect, he's disgusted by his ball-punching actions. From here on out, claims Chris, he's just going to play it cool. And if ever there were a human who was constitutionally unable to play it cool, it's Chris.
Meanwhile, poor Marvin. He starts weeping, saying that he misses Jeremy, and that just when you get used to people being in your life they're gone. So…okay. I mean, deep scars and all, but Jeremy is a fellow competitor on America's Top Model that you've known for a month and a half. Pull it together, kid. Marvin tells us that his world was turned upside down, and that he lost the two people who genuinely cared about him and were real. He cries even harder as he says that he also almost lost Phil, who I guess is some sort of delinquent deadbeat dad figure? Cory is worried for Marvin, saying that he likes him and wants him to do well, but also: buck up and keep your head in the game. In the limo, Cory says this is still a competition and they just have to be mature about it -- in other words, stop crying all over my merino sweater, you baby.
Back at the house, Jourdan's best-of-week photo is displayed as digital art. She claims to be conflicted about it, since on the one hand she gets evil looks from haters who are sick of her doing so well, and on the other hand she's a bald-faced narcissist. Renee tells us that Jourdan is a great model and she's happy that she's doing so consistently well -- this way, when Renee finally beats her the victory will be so much sweeter. To get us even further on Team Renee, we hear Jourdan exclaim, "My eyes look so cool!"
Meanwhile, Marvin holds a note that Jeremy left for him, including a portrait drawing, and starts crying again. He should be crying because of Jeremy's poor sketching skills, but Marvin sees the whole thing as a sign of caring, and says he genuinely loved the kid. And then Marvin delivers the most powerful soliloquy of the season thus far: "I think it is the fact that I'm losing everybody, and I can't adjust as fast as other people can adjust. I'm from a place where I'm always surrounded by people and then the room is getting empty, and then the house is getting empty, and I don't have anyone here…to play with or…like, have, I don't know, talk to. [Sob.]" Can we get DeNiro to reenact that, maybe?
And then there's Phil. He's going crazy not being able to run or bike while he's in the competition, and says that with his ADHD he needs to be doing something new. And that's where Jiana comes in. Not in a dirty way, this time. Phil wants Jiana to crouch down in the kitchen so he can jump over her head. Despite her repeated pleas to him to not jump over her head (because she doesn't want him to jump over her head), Phil persists with his entreaties. He interviews that Jiana is his closest friend in the house, and also strong and aggressive. I think he means "aggressive" in a good way. Jiana tells us that she thinks Phil is adorable and they're very flirtatious with each other, but she's not going to let him knock her out with his big old foot while performing shenanigans over her head. Marvin has no problem with that, though, and barely even crouches while Phil barely clears his noggin. As we get an instant replay, Jiana tells us that she's not in the competition to get distracted by anyone. She's feeling a little threatened, and plans to bring it to keep herself in the running. Meanwhile, Marvin gets a big hug from Phil, which I think is what he was angling for all along with his participation.
The morning, the contestants head to Melrose Avenue. Kelly Cutrone is there and describes Melrose as the epicenter of trend and fashion shopping in LA, and also the site of today's challenge. Top Model has partnered with a website called MyEveryNeed.com, which is a fashion and shopping portal and a client of Kelly's. As Phil reminds us how important challenges are in the overall scoring and says he wants to win all of them, Kelly breaks this one down. In the first part of the challenge, she'll ask the models questions in a fashion quiz. For each correct answer they get MyEveryNeed.com gift card credits, which they'll then use to buy killer looks from shops in the area. The model with the best look will win a $2,000 MyEveryNeed.com gift card, and also $3,000 in Monopoly money, which is just as useful. Maybe they'll throw in some Hanukkah gelt as a bonus. And then there's the salacious bit. In order to put together a killer look the models need a blank canvas, so are instructed to strip down to their skivvies. Chris and Jiana are both happy to, and Jiana says that everyone should embrace what they've got. Easy to say when what you've got is her exact 19-year-old body.
The first question of the quiz is who won the first cycle of America's Top Model, which shocked me since I thought Tyra's mission in life was to wipe out any evidence of an affiliation with Adrianne Curry. The models then have to identify Donatella Versace by her picture, and everyone is shocked when Cory gets both of these questions wrong. Had the new Gina Gershon / Donatella Versace movie already been out on Lifetime, he might have stood a chance. The models then guess who was the highest paid model of 2012, and the answer is Gisele Bundchen. The final question asks what fashion trend was banned from Florida's public schools, and the answer is sagging pants. Phil seems shocked by the fact that he's at least $100 below everyone else, with a measly gift card worth $25. Renee leads the pack with $250, and Jourdan is close behind with $225. Everyone else falls in the $125 - $175 range, which seems like enough money to put together a decent outfit.
The models have only 30 minutes to do their shopping, and a choice of five stores from which to shop. And it is pretty hilarious to see them running down the street in their underwear. While Nina runs into a store looking for a "vesty thing," Don spots a Henley shirt that suits his fancy. Chris is halfway shopping for himself, but also getting all up into Nina's personal space to compliment her choices, which she doesn't seem to mind. Jiana makes a smart choice by going to the shoe store first, while Cory and his naked self charm a salesperson into giving him 25% off to make his budget go a little further. Jourdan chooses a black dress, while Renee tells us how much she hates shopping. And then there's Phil. With $25, he's looking for the cheapest pair of shorts he can find. He tells us that he deserves what he got, given his lack of knowledge in the trivia challenge, and also he believes that the powers that be in this show apparently want him to show up naked for his evaluation. There's a bit of a pile-up at the shoe store in the last moments of the competition, and Marvin tries to get people to leave by saying that the clerk is busy in the back. This is a competition, he tells us, and it's no time to help anyone. Renee tells him to kiss her ass in response to his suggestion that she go to another store.
And then it's time for the models to get evaluated on their looks, with celebrity stylist Monica Rose joining Kelly to judge. Monica liked Jourdan's dress, but thought her shoes were a bit "Stripperella." She tells Cory that his pants are too tight, and even questions if they're actually men's pants. He assures her that they are, and also I wish everyone would stop acting like Cory is a woman. Then there's Marvin. Kelly leads by mocking his rolled-up pants, and while Marvin rolls his trousers down, Chris does the same thing right behind him. Marvin tells us that Chris is always listening to critique of others and trying to apply it to himself. He says this like it's a bad thing, rather than a smart thing. Monica doesn't care for Chris's shirt choice with his pants, but does think that he knows how to dress for his physique. Jiana's dress is a little too bondage inspired for Monica's taste.
And then there's Phil. He's wearing ripped up tights and a ripped up shirt, and tells us that the cheapest thing in the women's clothing stores were the leggings, and then he managed to find a t-shirt for $12. Monica asks if they're all women's clothes, which indeed they are. Is it wrong that I think he looks kind of sexy? Cory calls him a cross-dressing Neanderthal, which is something I think Phil would take as a compliment. Monica tells him that if she saw him walking down the street she'd be really uncomfortable, and Kelly interjects that this is a modeling contest, not a comedy contest. Monica then pipes in to add that she thinks Phil is mocking the situation. Phil interviews that he's pissed off that they think he's making a mockery of the challenge, even though I think that's the logical thing to do given that it's really fucking stupid.
Monica tells Nina that she knows herself and her body, and likes everything about the outfit except for the shoes. Don immediately goes into what Cory calls his "ladies man routine," and Cory acknowledges that he can't compete with that. Monica likes his "thought process," and Don admits to us that while he wasn't exactly flirting, he was quite possibly hypnotizing her with his eyes. Monica says she likes Don's look, and likes tattoos, and then giggles. She manages to see straight enough to tell Renee that she has good pieces, but they don't work well together. And then unsurprisingly the winner of the challenge is Don. He gets the $2,000 MyEveryNeed gift card, and gets to go out for ice cream with two friends. That's random, isn't it? He chooses Marvin and Renee, and tells us that those two have a flirty thing going on. Marvin DID lick Renee's face intimately that one time, which I suppose could count as flirting.
Back at the house, the challenge scores are up. Cory, Phil and Jiana are all circling the drain with fives, while Jiana predicts that Marvin is going to freak out about his score of six. She should know, since she's freaking out about her own score. She tells us that she has an anchor tied to her foot (named Phil, I assume) and keeps sinking further from the top.
When the ice cream gang comes back, they're all pretty shocked that Jourdan and Chris got sevens, and Marvin tells us that he felt the need to verbalize his displeasure. Dudes: it's a one point difference. Marvin tells Chris that his outfit wasn't all that great, and when Chris points out that it was better than Marvin's, Marvin says that he bets he'll get more girls than Chris. First of all, neither of these clowns are getting any ladies. And second of all: see my first of all. Cory tells us that he likes Marvin, but as he's been slipping in the competition he's worried and trying to hide it with an abundance of testosterone. The two non-lady-killers go back and forth about the girl thing for a while as the world rolls a collective eye, and then Marvin yells that nobody likes Chris and he has acne on his face. Meanwhile, Chris tells Marvin that he looks like a monkey. So, yikes, okay. Chris explains to us that his plan to play it cool isn't going so well, and there's seemingly nothing he can do to get the other models to like him. Marvin tells Chris that he's corny, and that Tyra's the only person who cares about him. Chris in turn tells Marvin to go in the other room and cry. And really, calm down ladies -- you're both awful! Marvin interviews that he's surprised at his own outburst and that he's not going to be crying about Chris or anyone in the house from now on. The "boo hoo" is implied.
Marvin mutters that he doesn't care about the people in the house, and isn't getting eliminated before Chris "emotional problems" H. If Chris gets a little bit of fame, says Marvin, it's going to go to his head. Maybe that will at least clear up the acne? Don tells us that Marvin's anger has been building up over the past few days, but he needs to not be distracted by this newfound rivalry that was begun over freaking pant cuffs.
The models head to the Lanark art gallery, where there are photos of Tyra posing as other supermodels all over the walls. We hear Chris read part of the show's description, emphasizing that Tyra has not been retouched in any way. Rather, they just plopped a big mole on her face and called her Cindy Crawford. Tyra herself shows up to say that this exhibit, called "Tyra's Ego: Bigger Than You Even Thought!" will be in galleries globally. The pictures include living art -- which I guess means Flixels? -- and Johnny shows up to tell the models that they too will be living art today. They'll be made up rather naturally, with Tyra beating some of their faces, and will have paint thrown on them. The action of the paint being thrown will provide the movement in the photos, which will be taken by Udo, who also photographed the Tyra exhibit.
Tyra does makeup for Jourdan, making her nice and fresh and pink. Jourdan wears a white toga-ish sheet thing as orange paint is thrown at her. And boy, this is a lot of paint. Johnny says that as a model you have to deal with all kinds of shit, and sometimes it's sticky and hard to wash off. Regardless, you have to connect with the camera. Jourdan says that it's hard to have paint thrown at you and into all of your various facial orifices. But she does a great job, because that's how she rolls. Don is , and Udo wants him to think strong and aggressive. This is a challenge given that he looks like he's wearing a diaper with a tail. Cory is , and Johnny tells him that he's quite masculine and his body looks great. He has red paint thrown at him, which means things get a little too Carrie for comfort. Cory says that he feels like a fierce bloody mess, in a good way.
Tyra makes up Chris, and Chris realizes that having Tyra Banks be the only person who likes you (per Marvin's claims) is not such a bad thing. Chris has yellow paint thrown at him, and is having quite a hard time with the whole scenario. He gets crazy eyes, which make him look like a murderous chicken. Chris says that he's frustrated and aggravated, and Marvin is getting to him. Marvin hopes so, saying that having Chris go home would be a dream come true. Johnny instructs Chris to smize, then tells him that when he gets disappointed in himself and frustrated, they lose him. Udo instructs him to feel, not think. Determined not to let the negative energy get to him, Chris starts improving and Johnny tells him that they got a good moment. In turn, paint-covered Chris asks for a hug. He's being funny, but that right there is a metaphor for his needy soul.
Marvin is , with his white diaper and green paint. Johnny asks him to keep his eyes open, which Marvin explains is difficult when there's paint being launched at your face. Cory worries that because Marvin's so crazy in his head at the moment, he can't be "in" the shoot. Chris, of course, would be thrilled if Marvin went home, apparently because Marvin is a verbal abuser and also fake. I actually would counter that Marvin is not fake enough for his own good. Also, he isn't listening to direction, which seems to be working Johnny and Udo's nerves.
Tyra does Renee's makeup and gives her some advice on which facial angles work best for her. Renee looks awfully lovely in her toga sheet as red paint is thrown at her, and Johnny says she is elegant and beautiful. Jourdan scowls at her accolades. Jiana tells us that she hates being sticky, which is something I can greatly relate to. She's just trying to get through the grossness and stay another week so she can prove to the judges that she deserves to be there. Johnny tells her that her face looks dead and awkward, which is not a good thing. Phil doesn't have a whole lot of sympathy, saying that he cares about her, but this is a competition and you have to bring your A-game. She also has that square face, and is still struggling to figure out her angles. Johnny is all, "Stand in front of a mirror for ten minutes and work on your poses. Got it, Jiana? Do that." Except he says that to the camera and not Jiana herself, who might have been a more helpful target for his pissiness.
Johnny instructs Nina, who has purple-gray paint hurled at her, to look elegant like a swan. He asks for her to commit to a pose and hold it, and she gets something amazing. Meanwhile, Tyra works on Phil's makeup and calls over the grooming guy to see if they can trim down his beard. It turns out that social media hasn't been too keen on Phil's "Jesus" look, so they're trying out a more clean cut style. It makes him look kind of like Johnny, to be honest. But Johnny is not impressed by his new twin, saying that he starts off with generic poses. He's an adventurous guy, so should be taking more chances. Phil also is sticking out his belly in a way that Johnny has to tell him is not appealing. Maybe it's a new take on the immaculate conception? And that's a wrap!
Back at the house, Chris tries to sneak into the ladies' bathroom. Jiana asks where he thinks he's going, adding that they're not having a group shower. With Phil, maybe, but with him, no way. Apparently the boy showers are full. Even Nina, who was once and maybe still his friend, is like, "What the hell?" Jourdan suggests that he go shower in the Tyra Suite, but apparently that wouldn't be annoying enough. Jourdan tells us that Chris pisses her off more than anything, and that she feels uncomfortable using the bathroom if there's a naked dude in there. ESPECIALLY if that naked dude is Chris. Learning that other guys like Don and Cory haven't showered yet, Jiana wonders why Chris needs to hijack the ladies' room. Cory theorizes that he wanted to see some lady bits. Jiana and Jourdan complain, and Chris walks out to say that if anything he did them a favor by heating up the water. "I'm tired of all this drama," he adds, because clearly drama just foists itself upon him unawares. Chris interviews that he could cook a family dinner for everyone (using other people's food) and have gospel meetings (??????????) and it wouldn't matter, and actually probably would somehow make things worse.
And then there's the other drama queen, Marvin, who is still battling with stress and insecurities and broken heartedness. Don thinks that his photo was strong, but Marvin tells him and Phil that he's stressing about other issues. He feels disconnected, and like he can't talk to anyone in the house. He doesn't know why, but he doesn't see anybody -- even Phil and Don, who are standing there talking to him while he stands fully clothed in the shower -- as his friends. Don wonders if Marvin is pushing them away since he doesn't want to go through heartbreak if they're eliminated like Jeremy and Kanani. A teary-eyed Marvin turns his head and says that that could be it. Look at Don, amateur smoking hot therapist! Marvin then really starts crying, saying that if he loses them nobody will be left to care for him. Phil has to explain that even if they both go tomorrow, Marvin can take care of himself. You know, because he's a damn adult. Phil adds that Marvin is there to model, not to build relationships. He theorizes that Marvin doesn't have…well, friends, basically…and so isn't used to experiencing these types of emotions. Don is really kind, saying that he feels like a big brother to Marvin and wants to help him as much as he can. These three are angling to be the last ones in the finals, but Marvin is looking less confident about that scenario.
With that, it's panel time. There are prizes, there are judges, there is a scoring system. Marvin is first for evaluation, and Tyra thinks he looks like the Hulk covered in green paint. Rob says he's composed and relaxed, but Kelly sees this photo as a cross-eyed model with a backache. Tyra says he's a bit stiff, but very strong at the same time. Bryanboy reports that the fans are finding Marvin's modeling skills questionable, noting that he makes the same face week after week. What else are male models supposed to do, though? Marvin is forced to read fan commentary that says he has fish lips and dead eyes, and gets a 7 from Kelly, 8 from Tyra, and 9 from Rob.
Don is , and Kelly says that his photo isn't working for her from a fashion perspective. Rob thinks that Don still needs to learn how to better work his body, and Tyra feels athlete and not model from the shot. She would entitle the photo, "Ooh girl, he is fine. He plays for the Dodgers." And that's actually pretty dead-on. The fans are "meh" about Don. He gets a 6 from Tyra, 7 from Kelly, and 8 from Rob. Then there's Jourdan. She looks gorgeous, like she's wearing a dress made of paint. Rob notes that Tyra told her to extend her neck last week, and now she is giving swan realness. Tyra tells Jourdan that she's doing it all, and Kelly agrees that it's beautiful. Bryanboy notes that Jourdan is the queen of social media, and the fans love her. So do the judges, who give her all 10s. Tyra even thinks it's one of the top 20 photos in the history of Top Model, which is saying something given how freaking long this show has been on the air.
Tyra notes that Phil struggled at the fashion challenge, and also looks wack standing before them. Though he happens to be wearing Johnny's "No paint no gain" hat, since he "knows the guy." Tyra gives him an impromptu makeover, which involves removing the hat and his denim shirt. Kelly is upset by Phil's bearded baby realness photo, saying that it makes her never want to have a child again. And girl, I think that ship has sailed anyway. Rob notes that Phil is a masculine guy, but looks soft in all of his photos. Tyra thinks his face looks stunning, but his arm looks thick and truncated. One fan says he looks like a confused baby Jesus. Phil gets a 5 from Kelly, 6 from Rob, and 7 from Tyra.
And then there's Renee, whose photo is totally gorgeous. Tyra says that Renee took the tips she gave during makeup even further and better, and Rob says that if she does this every week she'll have much higher scores. Kelly, however, still thinks that she photographs a little too mature. Renee gets a 7 from Kelly, 8 from Rob, and 10 from Tyra. Poor Jiana looks like a ghost from the Titanic, according to Kelly. Everything is wrong and awkward, from her facial expression to her arms. And she's even inhaling wrong! Bryanboy says that the fans didn't respond well to the shot, but he personally would like to see her get back on top. Jiana gets a 5 from Kelly, 6 from Rob, and 7 from Tyra.
Chris gets an impromptu fashion makeover as well, losing his Color Me Badd white vest. His photo fares pretty well, with Kelly saying that his body is powerful, eyes are fierce, and she loves everything about it. Tyra says that if he had given a little more femininity and relaxed a little, it would have been genius. Rob says that Marvin isn't physically as big as Chris but looks more toned in his photos, and the more toned you are the more you'll work as a model. A fan compliments Chris's sex face, and he gets a 7 from Tyra, 8 from Rob, and 9 from Kelly.
Cory went profile with his body, which doesn't work since he's a bit thin. Kelly thinks it's all a bit Friday the Thirteenth, but she loves the androgyny. Tyra thinks that there's power in the shot, with Cory holding a deliberate stance but not looking like he's posing. Cory is basically fine with the fans, though his scores dropped a little. He gets 8s from Kelly and Rob, and a 9 from Tyra. Finally, there's Nina. Rob says that she has a very editorial face and can make herself look quite edgy, and that her pose is a little too safe. Kelly disagrees, saying that there's great power in the shot. She adds that she's had it out for Nina for a while, but Nina is challenging her to reconsider her own point of view. Tyra says that it's a strong and powerful shot and a little bit athletic, which works because Nina is playing against type. Bryanboy tells Nina that she's always second best, and he really wants her to go for it and beat Jourdan. Nina gets a 7 from Rob, 8 from Tyra, and 9 from Kelly.
The scores are tabulated, and the results are in. The best photo of the week is Jourdan, which comes as no surprise. She had a 7.5 fan vote and overall score of 44.5. Renee is called , with a fan vote of 5.9 and total of 37.9. Then there's Nina, who tied for second with a fan vote of 5.9 and total of 37.9. Chris is called , with a fan vote of 5.8 and total score of 36.8, followed by Cory with a fan vote of 5.3 and total of 35.3, Don also with a fan vote of 5.3 and total of 35.3, and Marvin with a fan vote of 4.0 and total of 34.0.
This leaves former loves Phil and Jiana in the bottom two. At least this means we won't have to hear about their ill-fated romance anymore! Hooray! Phil stands before Tyra for the same reason he was there last week -- he has a lot of potential, but when the super-pressure is on, he falls apart. The judges wonder, correctly, whether he's a hot mess. Then there's Jiana, who started off so strong, killing it in the first few weeks. But then she went down, down, down. The judges look at her beautiful square face and wonder if she understands her own beauty, which is the most important thing for being a model. If you don't conquer that and harness the power of what you have, says Tyra, you have no career.
So who stays? Phil does, with a fan vote of 4 and total of 27.0. Jiana goes home by a tenth of a point, with a fan vote of 3.9 and total of 26.9. Their scores otherwise -- right down to which judge gave them which score -- are identical. Phil tries to hug Jiana, who slips out of his grasp and down to the floor. He accepts his photo, crouches down to hug her and tells her to stay focused, then goes to join the other models. Tyra crouches down to tell Jiana that every week she's been scared that she'll be sent home. The reason that she's scared is that she hasn't figured out how to make what she's got amazing. But Tyra saw a beautiful model in her in the first weeks, and so Jiana can't let the elimination hold her down. If she can improve and take strong pictures, she has the potential to come back. Tyra then talks about all the speedbumps and roadblocks she's had in her career as a truck driver, as well as in her career as a model. Her mom always told her to look to the other side, and now Tyra is passing that advice on to her own surrogate-neglected-child.
Jiana gives Phil a long, lingering hug as Tyra wipes away a tear. Or a "tear," I can't tell. She says that she gave up a lot to come on the show, and screwed it up. She's going to miss Phil a lot, since she thinks the guy is awesome. She also thinks that he'll do fine, and if she's smart doesn't give a shit either way.
week: Go-sees! Jourdan cries, saying she's disappointed in herself since runway is her thing. And Phil and Renee argue passionately about whether a man or woman will dominate the competition, not realizing that nobody else in the world cares either way.
