Anyway, almost done. Big HOA meeting, which Paul blows everybody's minds about because the vote isn't 14 to 1, it's 7 to 7 because of his seven houses. Everybody hisses at Lee for helping him acquire them, and then he starts going after them one by one about how all it takes is one person to sell and he'll have the majority, so they all have to weigh out the cost/benefit of being the betrayer vs. being the betrayed. It's kind of like The Dark Knight in this respect. You get the money and you get out of there before the convicts show up, or somebody else sells and everybody else's home value drops. It's like Room 101, the Prisoner's Dilemma, but times seven. Which is craaaazed. So actually his plan is really sort of excellent, even if there's more to the plan, because you know you can't trust a single one of these motherfuckers. So Lynette watches everybody screaming at each other in slow motion while Mary Alice repeats her whole speech about trusting your neighbors, and the tension is unbelievable... And Paul just walks out of the meeting with the cutest, scariest grin on his face.

week, in the Sondheim-titled midseason finale: A riot! Paul and Richard get their plans going in earnest while Juanita and Lynette find out about their respective mind-blowing things, and somebody gets shot, and there is a riot. A riot! Less amazing than a tornado, but hopefully at least as amazing as when that lady shot everybody in the supermarket that time. A riot! Which will no doubt be tastefully rendered, with the racial sensitivity we've come to expect, by which of course I mean there will be looting and the rape of many white women.
