Kiefer lets Nina live in exchange for some information about Amador's cute friend Alvers. Lady Mac kills William Ocean III by sassing him to death. Spawn is very disappointed to find out that several months ago, some sperm belonging to Special Agent Charlie Brown fertilized the eggs of some other woman who was neither Spawn nor Potato Face. This could have happened during an act of sexual intercourse, but we, the viewers, don't know this for sure yet. This subsequently produced a child which Spawn has had to baby-sit for the last two hours, despite the fact that she was neither involved in the biological production of this child, nor the episode of alleged lovemaking that produced it. The following takes place between 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM.
Point Mugu Naval Air Station. Aaron Copland-y music plays as dozens of shiny planes with US of A logos on them are shown unloading the CTU personnel who were just in Mexico. Kiefer gets off a plane, followed by Nina in cuffs. "I got her!" shouts Kiefer to no one in particular. Some guy from Division is there to meet Kiefer's plane and escort Nina back to CTU. "She doesn't leave my sight!" Kiefer kounters with a velvety roar. Yes, Nina is dangerous, Kiefer. We. Get. It. Meanwhile, the Division guy hands Special Agent Charlie Brown a cell phone. He's got a phone call from Potato Face, who warns him that everyone at CTU now knows about Tater Tot and that she's Charlie's daughter. Charlie asks Potato Face how this all happened, and Potato Face explains about the babysitter having that family emergency and leaving Tater Tot with Potato Face. Apparently Charlie Brown has a sister but she's out of town as well. Charlie thanks Potato Face for covering and asks her where Tater is right now. "She's downstairs with Marcy until you get back," says Potato Face. Who is Marcy, and where was she while they made Spawn baby-sit? "Did Spawn find out?" asks Charlie. Potato Face replies that Spawn found out. Of course, she neglects to inform Charlie that she's the one who told Spawn, but that's not important. "How did she react?" asks Chase. "Gosh, Charlie," deadpans Potato Face, "I think she was kinda pissed!"
Back at CTU, Chappelle addresses the team in the conference room, informing them (and reminding new viewers) that Amador is in possession of "the Cordilla virus" and is thought to be in Los Angeles. "We estimate that he has enough of the pathogen to take out a major metropolitan area," says Chappelle. Their only lead, according to Chappelle, is Nina Myers. At the mention of Nina's name, they show a close-up of Bitchelle doing a very good job of hiding her annoyance that her husband's ex-girlfriend is going to be around. Chappelle goes on to explain that Amador is meeting up with a business partner named Alvers, and asks Adam, the Woman Hater, to brief the group on Alvers. "We have some background," says Adam sheepishly. "But we have nothing that places him definitively in Los Angeles." Chappelle gives him a cold stare and asks him about Interpol findings. "Our data tracking is a little behind so we weren't able to access that report," says Adam. "Why are we behind?" asks Chappelle. Soul Patch interrupts to explain that they haven't been updating the European contact logs. This makes absolutely no sense in the context of what Interpol is. Interpol is an international agency that provides a database of information about criminals and crimes and makes it available to other countries. If Interpol doesn't have the latest data on Alvers's whereabouts, it's not necessarily CTU's fault. It's like saying that the supermarket is out of Bisquick because I didn't go there recently to buy Bisquick. Nevertheless, Chappelle asks Bitchelle, the agent in charge of updating Interpol, why she was remiss in her duties. "I didn't think Europe was a priority," says Bitchelle. "Obviously it was," sneers Soul Patch. "There was a lot going on at the time," says Bitchelle, stunned that her husband is making her look bad during a meeting. Chappelle closes the meeting with a stern warning to all of the agents to stop making crucial mistakes. "There are millions of lives depending on us," he says, exiting. Bitchelle slams her notebook shut and leaves the room. Soul Patch calls after her, but she ignores him.

In Palmerville, Brother Palmer enters Palmer's office to tell him about the latest findings by CTU: that the V-I-R-U-S is on its way to L.A. or might be there already. A secretary interrupts them via intercom to tell Palmer that Lady Mac -- who she refers to as "Mrs. Palmer" -- is there to see him. Palmer sends Brother Palmer off to alert the appropriate agencies, but before he leaves, Lady Mac enters and has this really weird cold exchange with Brother Palmer. She doesn't say "hi" to him, she just says, "Wayne!" and Brother Palmer totally doesn't answer and leaves the room. "I asked you here to help me, not make things worse!" says Palmer, once the door is closed. "I did not want you going to William Ocean's house." Lady Mac tells Palmer to relax and lies to him, saying that she never went to William Ocean's house. She called Mrs. Ocean on the phone instead, but Mrs. Ocean refused to help Lady Mac. "You don't take no for an answer," says Palmer. "What aren't you telling me?" Lady insists that she parked by the side of the road instead and made phone calls. Okay, so let me get this straight: Palmer announces that he's going to "get down in the mud" with William Ocean; makes a point of calling Lady Mac, his ex-wife, in order to head this up because she's good at fighting dirty; and gives her carte blanche to do so. And now two hours later, he's questioning her integrity?
Meanwhile, back at CTU, a convoy of vans arrives from the airport and parks in the parking lot. Chappelle greets Nina and has her whisked off to an interrogation room. Kiefer questions Chappelle about the security configuration inside the building. Chappelle assures Kiefer that they can handle Nina. "You don't know what she's capable of," warns Kiefer. "That's none of your concern," says Chappelle. "I'm sending you to medical to get checked out." Kiefer insists that he's fine, but Chappelle tells Kiefer that he knows Kiefer's been using heroin. "Tell me I'm wrong," says Chappelle. Kiefer says nothing. "I didn't think so," says Chappelle. Kiefer insists that he's fine and hasn't "missed a step." "I need to cover my ass," says Chappelle.
Inside CTU, Adam the Woman Hater approaches Spawn and tells her that Charlie Brown and her father just arrived. Spawn gets up and heads for the front door, ostensibly to greet her father, but instead she sees Nina brought in. Psych! Nina and Spawn exchange a look until the men escorting Nina take her off to the aforementioned interrogation room. Kiefer enters. Spawn runs up to him and hugs him. Kiefer hugs her back. From elsewhere on the floor, Nina looks back and watches them. Shut up, eerie tinkling piano! The time is 02:09:22 AM.

The time is 02:13:35 AM. Klockwise from the top left, Palmer sits at his desk, Lady Mac looks off into space, and Mrs. Ocean lies awake in her Pier One Imports bed. Okay, so I guess Spawn and Kiefer's hug lasted the entire commercial break, because they're still standing there on the floor. "I have to go debrief Chappelle," says Kiefer. Um, Kiefer? You don't debrief Chappelle. You brief Chappelle. Chappelle debriefs you. Nevertheless, Kiefer walks away, but before he can disappear, Spawn calls out to him, "I know all about your drug problem." Kiefer turns around to face her, astonished. "Why didn't you come to me with this?" she whines. Why didn't he come to Spawn with his drug problem? Um, because she's his daughter. Not to mention she's probably the reason he's doing drugs in the first place. Kiefer hugs her again. "I was embarrassed," he says. "Is it over?" she asks. Kiefer tells her he may need to enter a program to get help, and then they hug some more. Like, they just keep hugging and caressing each other's hair and, like, they won't friggin' stop, and I'm like, "Hey guys? Get a room!" Finally they stop it and Kiefer heads toward the clinic again to get checked out. But first he runs into Potato Face, who welcomes him back in a way that's surprisingly not inappropriate at all. Kiefer exits, and the CTU front door opens again. This time it's Special Agent Charlie Brown entering the building. He and Spawn make eye contact, but before he can talk to her, she walks off.
Back at the Ocean residence, as Mrs. Ocean sits in bed awake with the lights on under a "damask"-textured bedspread, a Latina maid wearing a blue robe enters the kitchen and finds the cold dead body of William Ocean III. "Mrs. Milliken!" shouts the maid. "Come quickly!"
CTU clinic. Kiefer is already there. And there's a needle in his arm taking blood from him and everything. My, that was fast. Special Agent Charlie Brown enters with a brand new bandage on his hand. My, that was even faster. Kiefer asks what's going on. Charlie tells him that Soul Patch will be interrogating Nina while Charlie will be "following from a feed." "Make sure Soul Patch puts double security on the doors," says Kiefer. Gee, is Nina going to escape during this episode? I'm not seeing foreshadowing or anything! Special Agent Charlie Brown assures Kiefer that he'll keep him updated on the Nina interrogation. "You're going to find something out about me that's not going to make you happy," says Charlie. "What are you talking about?" asks Kiefer. Charlie asks the lab technician to leave, and he does. Oh, like that would happen in real life. Like they'd just administer a drug test and then leave him alone with the blood sample. "I've got a daughter," says Charlie Brown. Apparently it's a long story: the baby's mother dropped Tater Tot off with Charlie Brown and then left town. Kiefer tells Charlie to square this with Spawn as soon as he can.

Meanwhile, Bitchelle and Special Agent Michael Bolton are in this observation room setting up monitors so they can watch Soul Patch interrogate Nina. Michael Bolton confirms that they're all set up for voice analysis, vitals, and transcription. Meanwhile, one of the monitors shows this big close-up of Nina, and it even looks like she's watching Bitchelle. Because Nina is an omniscient super-villain. She can see through television cameras. We. Get. It. "So Soul Patch is doing this?" asks Michael Bolton, pointing at Nina on screen. Um, actually, Michael, Soul Patch was doing this. "Is that going to be weird for you?" he asks. Michael? Who are you? You just showed up an hour ago with no explanation and already you're asking inappropriate personal questions. What up? Bitchelle asks him what he means. "Didn't Nina and Soul Patch go out?" he asks. Bolton? It's not like she's the sexy new receptionist. She's a prisoner. And I hear that Soul Patch has a thing for the ladies who still have all their civil rights intact.
Soul Patch enters to check out their progress and has them do a "high res" on Nina's eyes. "She's tired," he says. "We might be able to pick up a 'tell.'" He leans in and asks Bitchelle if they're "all right." "We're fine," says Bitchelle in a not-so-enthusiastic manner. "Let's do this," says Soul Patch. He enters the room where Nina is being held and asks her to tell him everything about Amador and where to find him. "I already told Kiefer everything I know," says Nina. "I want you to tell me," says Soul Patch. "First Kiefer, then you," says Nina, stifling a giggle. "Now what does that remind me of?" Soul Patch ignores the innuendo. Back inside the interrogation room, Bitchelle is not amused. Soul Patch asks about Alvers. Again, Nina avoids the question. "Nice ring," she says, noticing his wedding band. "Who's the lucky girl? I hope you did a background check because you don't want to make the same mistake twice." Meanwhile, a split screen shows Bitchelle listening and getting even more uncomfortable. Jeez, if I were Bitchelle, I'd take comfort in the fact that -- at the very least -- I'm free go to the bathroom by myself. Soul Patch asks more questions and makes more threats. Nina makes more innuendo about their past sexual history. Rinse and repeat. Finally Soul Patch asks about Alvers. "All we've been able to dig up on him are a few random medical records," says Soul Patch. "He had an MRI on one of his knees. He has a prescription for some antibiotics. He was treated for HIV" From inside the observation room, Michael Bolton picks up on the fact that Nina's pulse is "spiking." "Someone hasn't been using protection with Alvers," quips Bolton. "She's probably had sex with him," relays Bitchelle. Soul Patch tells Nina about the spiked pulse. "Something in those medical records concerns you," says Soul Patch. "And I'm guessing it's not the knee." Still the smirk remains on Nina's face. 'Cause even though she's in jail and might get AIDS, she's a super-sexy super-villain!
