Tater Not

Previously. Amador is no ama-teur. Why, he's an Ama-whore! Sorry, I've been dying to unload that pun all season long! Kiefer lets Nina live in exchange for some information about Amador's cute friend Alvers. Lady Mac kills William Ocean III by sassing him to death. Spawn is very disappointed to find out that several months ago, some sperm belonging to Special Agent Charlie Brown fertilized the eggs of some other woman who was neither Spawn nor Potato Face. This could have happened during an act of sexual intercourse, but we, the viewers, don't know this for sure yet. This subsequently produced a child which Spawn has had to baby-sit for the last two hours, despite the fact that she was neither involved in the biological production of this child, nor the episode of alleged lovemaking that produced it. The following takes place between 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM.

Point Mugu Naval Air Station. Aaron Copland-y music plays as dozens of shiny planes with US of A logos on them are shown unloading the CTU personnel who were just in Mexico. Kiefer gets off a plane, followed by Nina in cuffs. "I got her!" shouts Kiefer to no one in particular. Some guy from Division is there to meet Kiefer's plane and escort Nina back to CTU. "She doesn't leave my sight!" Kiefer kounters with a velvety roar. Yes, Nina is dangerous, Kiefer. We. Get. It. Meanwhile, the Division guy hands Special Agent Charlie Brown a cell phone. He's got a phone call from Potato Face, who warns him that everyone at CTU now knows about Tater Tot and that she's Charlie's daughter. Charlie asks Potato Face how this all happened, and Potato Face explains about the babysitter having that family emergency and leaving Tater Tot with Potato Face. Apparently Charlie Brown has a sister but she's out of town as well. Charlie thanks Potato Face for covering and asks her where Tater is right now. "She's downstairs with Marcy until you get back," says Potato Face. Who is Marcy, and where was she while they made Spawn baby-sit? "Did Spawn find out?" asks Charlie. Potato Face replies that Spawn found out. Of course, she neglects to inform Charlie that she's the one who told Spawn, but that's not important. "How did she react?" asks Chase. "Gosh, Charlie," deadpans Potato Face, "I think she was kinda pissed!"

Back at CTU, Chappelle addresses the team in the conference room, informing them (and reminding new viewers) that Amador is in possession of "the Cordilla virus" and is thought to be in Los Angeles. "We estimate that he has enough of the pathogen to take out a major metropolitan area," says Chappelle. Their only lead, according to Chappelle, is Nina Myers. At the mention of Nina's name, they show a close-up of Bitchelle doing a very good job of hiding her annoyance that her husband's ex-girlfriend is going to be around. Chappelle goes on to explain that Amador is meeting up with a business partner named Alvers, and asks Adam, the Woman Hater, to brief the group on Alvers. "We have some background," says Adam sheepishly. "But we have nothing that places him definitively in Los Angeles." Chappelle gives him a cold stare and asks him about Interpol findings. "Our data tracking is a little behind so we weren't able to access that report," says Adam. "Why are we behind?" asks Chappelle. Soul Patch interrupts to explain that they haven't been updating the European contact logs. This makes absolutely no sense in the context of what Interpol is. Interpol is an international agency that provides a database of information about criminals and crimes and makes it available to other countries. If Interpol doesn't have the latest data on Alvers's whereabouts, it's not necessarily CTU's fault. It's like saying that the supermarket is out of Bisquick because I didn't go there recently to buy Bisquick. Nevertheless, Chappelle asks Bitchelle, the agent in charge of updating Interpol, why she was remiss in her duties. "I didn't think Europe was a priority," says Bitchelle. "Obviously it was," sneers Soul Patch. "There was a lot going on at the time," says Bitchelle, stunned that her husband is making her look bad during a meeting. Chappelle closes the meeting with a stern warning to all of the agents to stop making crucial mistakes. "There are millions of lives depending on us," he says, exiting. Bitchelle slams her notebook shut and leaves the room. Soul Patch calls after her, but she ignores him.

In Palmerville, Brother Palmer enters Palmer's office to tell him about the latest findings by CTU: that the V-I-R-U-S is on its way to L.A. or might be there already. A secretary interrupts them via intercom to tell Palmer that Lady Mac -- who she refers to as "Mrs. Palmer" -- is there to see him. Palmer sends Brother Palmer off to alert the appropriate agencies, but before he leaves, Lady Mac enters and has this really weird cold exchange with Brother Palmer. She doesn't say "hi" to him, she just says, "Wayne!" and Brother Palmer totally doesn't answer and leaves the room. "I asked you here to help me, not make things worse!" says Palmer, once the door is closed. "I did not want you going to William Ocean's house." Lady Mac tells Palmer to relax and lies to him, saying that she never went to William Ocean's house. She called Mrs. Ocean on the phone instead, but Mrs. Ocean refused to help Lady Mac. "You don't take no for an answer," says Palmer. "What aren't you telling me?" Lady insists that she parked by the side of the road instead and made phone calls. Okay, so let me get this straight: Palmer announces that he's going to "get down in the mud" with William Ocean; makes a point of calling Lady Mac, his ex-wife, in order to head this up because she's good at fighting dirty; and gives her carte blanche to do so. And now two hours later, he's questioning her integrity?

Meanwhile, back at CTU, a convoy of vans arrives from the airport and parks in the parking lot. Chappelle greets Nina and has her whisked off to an interrogation room. Kiefer questions Chappelle about the security configuration inside the building. Chappelle assures Kiefer that they can handle Nina. "You don't know what she's capable of," warns Kiefer. "That's none of your concern," says Chappelle. "I'm sending you to medical to get checked out." Kiefer insists that he's fine, but Chappelle tells Kiefer that he knows Kiefer's been using heroin. "Tell me I'm wrong," says Chappelle. Kiefer says nothing. "I didn't think so," says Chappelle. Kiefer insists that he's fine and hasn't "missed a step." "I need to cover my ass," says Chappelle.

Inside CTU, Adam the Woman Hater approaches Spawn and tells her that Charlie Brown and her father just arrived. Spawn gets up and heads for the front door, ostensibly to greet her father, but instead she sees Nina brought in. Psych! Nina and Spawn exchange a look until the men escorting Nina take her off to the aforementioned interrogation room. Kiefer enters. Spawn runs up to him and hugs him. Kiefer hugs her back. From elsewhere on the floor, Nina looks back and watches them. Shut up, eerie tinkling piano! The time is 02:09:22 AM.

The time is 02:13:35 AM. Klockwise from the top left, Palmer sits at his desk, Lady Mac looks off into space, and Mrs. Ocean lies awake in her Pier One Imports bed. Okay, so I guess Spawn and Kiefer's hug lasted the entire commercial break, because they're still standing there on the floor. "I have to go debrief Chappelle," says Kiefer. Um, Kiefer? You don't debrief Chappelle. You brief Chappelle. Chappelle debriefs you. Nevertheless, Kiefer walks away, but before he can disappear, Spawn calls out to him, "I know all about your drug problem." Kiefer turns around to face her, astonished. "Why didn't you come to me with this?" she whines. Why didn't he come to Spawn with his drug problem? Um, because she's his daughter. Not to mention she's probably the reason he's doing drugs in the first place. Kiefer hugs her again. "I was embarrassed," he says. "Is it over?" she asks. Kiefer tells her he may need to enter a program to get help, and then they hug some more. Like, they just keep hugging and caressing each other's hair and, like, they won't friggin' stop, and I'm like, "Hey guys? Get a room!" Finally they stop it and Kiefer heads toward the clinic again to get checked out. But first he runs into Potato Face, who welcomes him back in a way that's surprisingly not inappropriate at all. Kiefer exits, and the CTU front door opens again. This time it's Special Agent Charlie Brown entering the building. He and Spawn make eye contact, but before he can talk to her, she walks off.

Back at the Ocean residence, as Mrs. Ocean sits in bed awake with the lights on under a "damask"-textured bedspread, a Latina maid wearing a blue robe enters the kitchen and finds the cold dead body of William Ocean III. "Mrs. Milliken!" shouts the maid. "Come quickly!"

CTU clinic. Kiefer is already there. And there's a needle in his arm taking blood from him and everything. My, that was fast. Special Agent Charlie Brown enters with a brand new bandage on his hand. My, that was even faster. Kiefer asks what's going on. Charlie tells him that Soul Patch will be interrogating Nina while Charlie will be "following from a feed." "Make sure Soul Patch puts double security on the doors," says Kiefer. Gee, is Nina going to escape during this episode? I'm not seeing foreshadowing or anything! Special Agent Charlie Brown assures Kiefer that he'll keep him updated on the Nina interrogation. "You're going to find something out about me that's not going to make you happy," says Charlie. "What are you talking about?" asks Kiefer. Charlie asks the lab technician to leave, and he does. Oh, like that would happen in real life. Like they'd just administer a drug test and then leave him alone with the blood sample. "I've got a daughter," says Charlie Brown. Apparently it's a long story: the baby's mother dropped Tater Tot off with Charlie Brown and then left town. Kiefer tells Charlie to square this with Spawn as soon as he can.

Meanwhile, Bitchelle and Special Agent Michael Bolton are in this observation room setting up monitors so they can watch Soul Patch interrogate Nina. Michael Bolton confirms that they're all set up for voice analysis, vitals, and transcription. Meanwhile, one of the monitors shows this big close-up of Nina, and it even looks like she's watching Bitchelle. Because Nina is an omniscient super-villain. She can see through television cameras. We. Get. It. "So Soul Patch is doing this?" asks Michael Bolton, pointing at Nina on screen. Um, actually, Michael, Soul Patch was doing this. "Is that going to be weird for you?" he asks. Michael? Who are you? You just showed up an hour ago with no explanation and already you're asking inappropriate personal questions. What up? Bitchelle asks him what he means. "Didn't Nina and Soul Patch go out?" he asks. Bolton? It's not like she's the sexy new receptionist. She's a prisoner. And I hear that Soul Patch has a thing for the ladies who still have all their civil rights intact.

Soul Patch enters to check out their progress and has them do a "high res" on Nina's eyes. "She's tired," he says. "We might be able to pick up a 'tell.'" He leans in and asks Bitchelle if they're "all right." "We're fine," says Bitchelle in a not-so-enthusiastic manner. "Let's do this," says Soul Patch. He enters the room where Nina is being held and asks her to tell him everything about Amador and where to find him. "I already told Kiefer everything I know," says Nina. "I want you to tell me," says Soul Patch. "First Kiefer, then you," says Nina, stifling a giggle. "Now what does that remind me of?" Soul Patch ignores the innuendo. Back inside the interrogation room, Bitchelle is not amused. Soul Patch asks about Alvers. Again, Nina avoids the question. "Nice ring," she says, noticing his wedding band. "Who's the lucky girl? I hope you did a background check because you don't want to make the same mistake twice." Meanwhile, a split screen shows Bitchelle listening and getting even more uncomfortable. Jeez, if I were Bitchelle, I'd take comfort in the fact that -- at the very least -- I'm free go to the bathroom by myself. Soul Patch asks more questions and makes more threats. Nina makes more innuendo about their past sexual history. Rinse and repeat. Finally Soul Patch asks about Alvers. "All we've been able to dig up on him are a few random medical records," says Soul Patch. "He had an MRI on one of his knees. He has a prescription for some antibiotics. He was treated for HIV…" From inside the observation room, Michael Bolton picks up on the fact that Nina's pulse is "spiking." "Someone hasn't been using protection with Alvers," quips Bolton. "She's probably had sex with him," relays Bitchelle. Soul Patch tells Nina about the spiked pulse. "Something in those medical records concerns you," says Soul Patch. "And I'm guessing it's not the knee." Still the smirk remains on Nina's face. 'Cause even though she's in jail and might get AIDS, she's a super-sexy super-villain!

Meanwhile, somewhere in downtown L.A., Amador enters a bar that's supposed to be all dark and seedy. We know this because the outside is covered by graffiti and he has to talk to someone through a hole in the door in a foreign language to get in. Finally they let him in. The place is filled with Greg Brady beaded curtains, pool tables, more graffiti, and loose women swanning around. He finds Alvers in the back, and they go into a private supply room to speak privately. "I still don't understand why you took such a risk down in Mexico and didn't come here directly," says Alvers. "Two hundred and forty million dollars made it worth the risk," quips Amador, taking out his briefcase and setting it down on a sinister-looking biohazard chamber. "What about Nina?" asks Alvers. Amador assumes that Nina was either killed by the bomb or by her disappointed buyers. "Either way, she's out of the picture," says Amador. "I hope so," says Alvers. "Because she can point to both of us." "We'll be long gone before anyone starts looking," says Amador, removing the V-I-R-U-S from his briefcase and handing it to Alvers. The time is 02:22:53 AM.

The time is 02:27:06 AM. Special Agent Charlie Brown enters the CTU floor and finds Spawn in a conference room arranging reports. "We haven't talked since I got back," he says. "No, we haven't," she says. He begs her for a chance to explain. "You have a baby," says Spawn. "We've been going out for three months and you kept this from me." According to Special Agent Charlie Brown, he didn't know he had a daughter until a month ago, when an ex-girlfriend of his got into some unspecified bit of "trouble" and dumped the baby on his lap. "I was afraid to let people find out," says Charlie. "I was afraid it was going to mess us up." "But you told Potato Face," says Spawn. Charlie explains that Potato Face was a good friend of his, and she and his sister were helping him take care of the baby. They are interrupted by another girlfriend of Joel Surnow's -- the aforementioned Marcy? -- who tells Chase that Tater Tot woke up. "All I know is that I love you," says Charlie. "And I'm falling in love with Tater Tot too. I need to make this work." Spawn sullenly accepts his apology and then watches with mixed emotions as Charlie walks over to Tater Tot and holds her.

Elsewhere on the floor, Kiefer and Chappelle are talking about the ongoing interrogation. Chappelle thinks they might be getting somewhere, but Kiefer suspects that Super-Villain Nina might be manipulating everyone as usual. Kiefer wants to talk to Potato Face and get more information on Amador, but Chappelle wants Kiefer to speak to an investigator about his drug use. "We both know that my blood work is going to come back with trace amounts of opiates," says Kiefer. "But enough is enough." Chappelle tells Kiefer that he can go back to work once Rae Plachecki from the Inspector General's office has made an evaluation. Kiefer is then lead into a conference room where Plachecki is waiting for him. Plachecki, incidentally, is played by the same mannish actress who played Vasquez in Aliens. Hey, didn't I once compare Jalapeño to that actress? "You know the drill," she says. "We just want to establish that this heroin use was a necessary part of your cover." "It was necessary to maintain my cover," says Kiefer. "Are we done now?" No, they're not done. And boy, do I wish they were. I am so tired of these boring internal investigations that the writers keep insisting on depicting, despite the fact that no one gets punished for anything at CTU. As Plachecki interrogates Kiefer, we notice that there's a video camera trained on him. Just like how a video is trained on…

…Nina who, ironically, is also being interrogated by CTU. See what those writers just did? When I was in college, my professors called that "mirroring." Soul Patch asks Nina some more questions about Amador and Alvers, but Nina isn't cooperating. "What kind of a deal do you think you're going to get?" asks Soul Patch. He lists her misdeeds over the last two and a half seasons -- the selling of top-secret information, the murder of Bride, the smuggling of nuclear weapons into the country, et cetera -- and asks her what it is she wants out of life. "What is it that you get out of being a mass murderer?" he asks. Nina is silent for several moments. Finally she speaks. "Your neck is bleeding," she says. Soul Patch leaves the room and goes back into the observation room, where Michael Bolton is jerking off and Bitchelle is clutching her pearls. Michael Bolton tells Soul Patch that they're only getting subliminal responses, and that they need more sophisticated equipment. Soul Patch points out that the interrogation room that has said equipment is not secure enough for a super-villain like Nina. "Where's Richards?" asks Soul Patch. "He's waiting," replies Bitchelle. "Let's bring him in." Richards turns out to be the night shift version of Johnson. And we know what Johnson does. The time is 02:33:53 AM.

The time is 02:38:06 AM. Klockwise from the top left, Nina vamps it up in the interrogation room, Palmer takes some pills, Spawn stares at her computer, and Kiefer glowers at Plachecki. "You say that you weren't in with the Salazars until early February," says Plachecki, continuing to question Kiefer. "But the first time you started using was late December. That's six weeks of shooting up for the benefit of no one. Am I missing something." Kiefer claims that he was trying to pass himself off as a junkie, and he just wanted to be prepared, as the Salazars would have sensed something was wrong if he couldn't handle taking drugs. Plachecki points out that when he started using, he didn't have a meeting scheduled with the Salazars. "It could have been a year for all you knew," says Plachecki. "What do you want me to say?" says Kiefer, unleashing the velvet roar. "I did drugs to get in with these people and I got in with them!" Plachecki insists that it still looks suspicious since he didn't tell anyone, including his own partner. "I've had a difficult time since my wife passed away," says Kiefer. "If I told anyone I was using drugs to develop a case, they would have misinterpreted [it]. I couldn't afford that risk." Chappelle walks over and shuts off the tape. "Let's put down that Kiefer started using heroin in late January after the first meeting with the Salazars," says Chappelle. "I appreciate what you're trying to do," says Kiefer. "But that's not what happened." "I'm just trying to save us all some paperwork," says Chappelle. "I'm okay with that," says Plachecki. "I'm not," says Kiefer. Wait, Kiefer didn't want to have this meeting in the first place and now he wants it to be longer? Whatever.

Back at the FluBar, Alvers is talking to someone on the phone in some foreign language that sounds vaguely Eastern European. According to the subtitles, Alvers is telling the mystery caller that they have the V-I-R-U-S and that everything is going according to plan. He hangs up. "He'll be here in an hour," says Alvers. "Just as long as we have time to leave the country before they let this virus out," says Amador. Dun dun dun!

Back in Palmerville, Palmer gives his staff the latest news about the V-I-R-U-S, i.e. that it's still a possible threat. Remember Brad Hammond from Division? The guy who almost shut down CTU last year because he heard that Xander was sick? Well, he's at the table. Of all the characters to bring back… He tells Palmer that, according to intelligence, it's impossible to say what Amador is going to do with the V-I-R-U-S. "Then we have to prepare defensive action here in Los Angeles," says Palmer. "And for that matter, all of our major cities." He tells his staff to work on both open and covert strategies to contain the V-I-R-U-S, should it be unleashed, and get back to him in thirty minutes. The meeting ends, and Brother Palmer enters the room in order to speak to Palmer privately. "Alan Milliken is dead," says Brother Palmer, explaining that the West Los Angeles police department found him dead in his own home fifteen minutes ago. "All signs point to a heart attack," says Brother Palmer. "That isn't possible!" says Palmer. "You told me Lady Mac was over there about an hour ago," says Brother Palmer. "She changed her mind," says Palmer, telling Brother Palmer about how she made some phone calls from her car instead. "Is that what she told you?" asks Brother Palmer. Palmer goes over to Lady Mac's office, where she's talking a nap, and asks her if she knows anything about William Ocean's death. She claims ignorance. Palmer threatens to bring in the police to check her cell phone and the car she was driving. "You asked me to take care of a problem," says Lady Mac. "And I did. If you want the police to check phone logs, have them check yours first. Because you called me!" "What happened?" asks Palmer. Apparently, repeating a question once is all it takes to crack Lady Mac, who is supposedly so devious and evil. She tells him about going over to the Millikens', the argument with William Ocean, and his subsequent heart attack. "There's going to be an investigation," says Palmer. "You're going to have to tell the truth about this." Lady Mac swears that she did nothing to hurt Milliken and that an investigation will only make Palmer look bad.

Back at CTU, Adam the Woman Hater goes over to Spawn's desk and helps her view a live feed from the interrogation room on her computer -- Nina's interrogation, not Kiefer's. They both then watch as a needle is inserted into Nina's neck and Nina's expression doesn't change. "I don't think she's going to give us anything," says Adam. "We're going to have to find Alvers by ourselves." He assigns Spawn a list of cities that Alvers has been in in the last three years to cross-check against suspected terrorists on the CTU database.

Back in Kiefer's interrogation room, Kiefer is all, "I don't understand why we have to go over this again!" Uh, because you refused to let Chappelle help you? Special Agent Charlie Brown enters to inform Kiefer that the interrogation is producing nothing and that they are having Richards "work on her." "That's a big mistake," says Kiefer, explaining that no one should be alone in a room with Nina who hasn't worked with her before and known what she's capable of. "She'll just manipulate him," he says. "All Richards does is inflict pain," says Chappelle. "There's no way for her to manipulate him." ("Could you bring us some coffee, Richards?" "Sorry, not in my job description. I inflict pain. And that's it!")

Back in Nina's interrogation room, Nina gets more pain shots in the neck. "How much more of this can you endure?" asks Soul Patch. "This is about it," says Nina, leaning back and forcing the syringe to hit an artery. Now it's Soul Patch's turn to tell Nina that her neck is bleeding! Copycat! Blood flies everywhere. Soul Patch applies pressure to Nina's neck to stop the blood, and Bitchelle calls for medical assistance. The time is 02:48:25 AM.

The time is 02:52:44 AM. Palmerville. Brother Palmer enters Palmer's office to find out what Lady Mac said about William Ocean's death. Palmer tells him that Lady Mac insisted that it was just a heart attack, but Brother Palmer doesn't believe her. Palmer doesn't believe her either, but doesn't think she's capable of murder. "We have to assume the worst," says Brother Palmer. "Then we also have to assume that Mrs. Ocean was involved," says Palmer. "What?" says Brother Palmer. "Julia isn't the same kind of person as Lady Mac!" "When we find out all the facts, we'll proceed from there," says Palmer. Brother Palmer leaves Palmer's office and calls Mrs. Ocean from his cell phone. She answers just as paramedics are taking William Ocean's body away. Brother Palmer asks her what happened. She tells him that Lady Mac was there and stopped her from giving William Ocean his medication when he had an attack of angina and lost his breath. Brother Palmer tells her to call a lawyer and remain silent until he gets there. "Could you come down here and help me?" asks Mrs. Ocean. "No, and please don't call me," says Brother Palmer. "I will help you but right now I have to keep my distance." ["By calling her via cell phone, which is traceable. Good thinking, BP." -- Sars]

Meanwhile, over at CTU, Nina is rushed to the clinic on a gurney. Blood spurts out of her neck as a team of doctors attend to her. Soul Patch watches as an anesthesiologist administers a sedative intravenously. However, Nina secretly squeezes the anesthesia tube to prevent being sedated and only pretends to fall asleep. Satisfied that Nina is unconscious, Soul Patch leaves the clinic just as a tray full of sinister-looking scalpels and clamps is being wheeled over within Nina's reach. He walks in on Kiefer's interrogation. Chappelle sees the blood on his face and asks him what happened. Soul Patch explains the suicide attempt. "Who is with her?" asks Kiefer. Soul Patch tells him not to worry, as she is sedated. "Who. Is. With. Her!" roars Kiefer just as a building-wide alarm goes off. Everyone runs toward the clinic. Except Spawn, who just kind of sits there with this numb expression on her face. When Kiefer gets to the clinic, dozens of medics are dead. Kiefer asks a nurse who isn't dead yet where Nina went. She feebly points.

Okay, in the first Jaws, you barely saw the shark, and it really wasn't anymore deadly than any other great white shark; it just happened to be hanging out in waters full of vacationing tourists and there was this mayor who was trying to keep the shark attacks quiet. So then when Jaws II comes out, the shark is more visible and it's ridiculously large; it can swallow boats whole, and the only way they can kill it is to lead it over to some electrical wires and electrocute it. So then in Jaws 3-D, the shark has, like, broken into a water park and is terrorizing the employees and customers. Jaws IV and Jaws V, it's the size of the Empire State Building. It speaks six languages. It knows how to hack into mainframe computers and commit identity theft. It smuggles crack into the country and sells it to inner-city school children. It convinces Ben Affleck to join the cast of Gigli. It's unstoppable! Okay, Nina is the shark from Jaws. At first she's this woman who was simply smart enough to sell government secrets to the highest bidder and not blow her cover as a CTU employee. Now, four years later, she's got the killing skills of a Green Beret and an unlimited pain tolerance. She bounces around from one foreign location to another without a care in the world. It's getting ridiculous. They need to kill her already.

Kiefer runs in hot pursuit as Chappelle gets on the PA system and tells everyone to lock CTU down. Spawn panics and runs down a corridor, where she sees a dead CTU guard. She grabs the guard's gun. The screen splits four ways. Kiefer's gun is drawn as he combs CTU for Nina. Lady Mac is playing with her wedding ring, taking it on and off. Medics take William Ocean's body out of the Ocean Manse. Palmer sits at his desk doing nothing. Seriously? I'm going to write a macro that says, "Palmer sits at his desk doing nothing." Spawn follows a trail of dead bodies to that control room where -- you guessed it -- her mother was killed by Nina. Nina is ripping out wires from a keypad -- I guess to disable the alarm. "Drop the gun," says Spawn, her gun drawn. "Put your hands on your head!" Nina turns around to face her, completely in control. "Spawn? What the hell are you doing?" asks Nina. "You don't want to be any part of this. Just turn around and walk away." Spawn doesn't move as Nina raises her gun. Spawn threatens to shoot her. Nina is just about to fire her gun at Spawn when a shot rings out. Kiefer has shot her in the shoulder. (The spoilers were wrong. Spawn doesn't get to shoot Nina.) "Go back into CTU," says Kiefer. "Tell them we've got Nina." Spawn protests, but Kiefer insists. Finally Spawn leaves them alone together. "You don't have any more useful information, do you, Nina?" says Kiefer. "I do!" gasps Nina, reaching in vain for a gun that is just inches from her hand. "No. You. Don't," says Kiefer. He fires three shots into her. Hey, where's Tater Tot? The time is 02:59:58…02:59:59…03:00:00 AM.
