Casa de Hotness. Vaughn's tossing and turning. Finally, he wakes up and realizes that Sydney's not next to him. She's working at the desk because she can't sleep. As she takes notes from the Rambaldi pages, she tells Vaughn that the Rose Rambaldi man told her that what was inside the amulet was the end of nature and that stars would fall from the sky and that no matter what she did, she couldn't stop it. Vaughn just tells her to consider the source. Syd says that the man recognized her. Well, duh, Sydney. Your picture was on his damn wall. I'd HOPE he'd recognize you. I love how Sydney's been bandied about as the prophecy girl since, what, Season One, and yet everyone keeps acting like no one KNOWS this. Whatever. It's almost over.

"'This woman without pretense,'" says Vaughn, reading from Page 47, "'will have had her effect never having seen the beauty of my sky behind Mount Subasio.'" He drops the page on the desk and dismisses it out of turn, saying that all this talk of fate, well, Sydney's proven it all wrong, time and time again. (And, yes, it's "Subasio," not "Sebacio" as I originally thought. Or, I should say, as the closed captioners originally thought.) "You climbed Mount Subasio," he says. "You saw the sky." Yes, Vaughn. She saw "the" sky but not "his" sky. That's kind of an important detail there, no? Syd says she's concerned about Sloane and all the people he's killed; she doesn't say it, but she's worried that he's going to kill her. And she doesn't want Isabelle to grow up without a mom. Vaughn promises that that will never happen.

Marshall's Bedroom of Geekiness. Marsh gets into bed behind his wife and starts nuzzling her. I realize I'm supposed to believe that they've had sex before (there IS a baby, after all), but I'm not really comfortable WATCHING it. Marsh futilely tries to get Carrie interested in a little boinking, but Carrie's had applesauce flung into her hair and little-to-no sleep, so sex is furthest from her mind right now, really. Mitchell calls from his room and Marsh goes to check on him.

We switch to Rachel's house (when the hell did she get her own apartment?) and Getty's just knocked on the door. Rachel's surprised to see him and asks what's going on. He was just in the neighborhood, trying to invent a reason to stop by. Rachel invites him in and offers him something to drink and, after realizing that she doesn't have any hooch on hand, he agrees to a nice cup of coffee. "You're thinking about her, aren't you?" she says. Getty wishes he'd done things differently, wishes he could have saved his wife. Rachel says that it was Korman's doing, not his, and that he's a good man, and then Getty goes to kiss her and it's oddly awkward and DO IT ALREADY. You know, as much as I like these two actors, this plot has absolutely NOTHING to do with the rest of this finale, so I'm just going to leave it at Rachel likes Getty, Getty likes Rachel, Getty feels guilty for some weird reason and decides to leave while Rachel's getting the coffee.
