We pick up where we left off, and Logan tells Veronica about the sex (or Everything But) tape. She can't process it, especially with her dad in the office, but once he's gone, she sees the recording, and she goes to break the news to Wallace and a battered Piz. Parker deduces from Logan's actions that he's still in love with Veronica, and she tearfully dumps him right before Veronica comes by and rips Logan a new one, telling him he's out of her life forever. After that, she learns from Dick that the video came in an e-mail -- from Chip Diller. She intimidates him enough to get a name out of him -- some random named Dominick. When Dominick's a douchebag to her, she makes his life miserable in several ways, so he gives her the next link in the chain -- another douchebag named, no lie, "Gory." She bugs his place, and it turns out he's organizing a rush -- for the Skull And Bones-esque society Wallace got invited to pledge. Wallace figures Piz and Veronica got accidentally caught on tape by surveillance meant for him, so Veronica has him go underground for her. Meanwhile, Veronica reunites with Nish, who knows a little something about the secret society, and that's some Girl Power I could really get behind. Wallace is upsettingly forced to confess his secrets while wearing a shock collar, and the fact that he's only wearing boxers in the scene makes it no less disturbing, if quite a bit sexier. Wallace doesn't deal with it too well, but he does figure out who one of the other pledges is. She follows him to a fancy party, wherein she comes face to face with A GIANT PORTRAIT OF LILLY KANE. And that completely shocked me even having seen that Kyle Secor was in the guest credits. Yup, Jake Kane is one of the elders of the society (and that's a more apt description than you might have guessed). Keith investigates the disappearance of Jake's hard drives, which he claims contained five years of product development, but when he discovers that Veronica was responsible, he ransacks her room. Meanwhile, Veronica goes to Mac for help cracking Jake's password, and soon the two of them, with Weevil's help, are enlisting the aid of the most powerful computer in Hearst. But Clarence Wiedman has figured out that Veronica was responsible, and he and Jake confront Keith. Feeling cornered, Keith erases the security footage that showed a blonde girl scaling Jake's wall, and now he and Deputy Leo REALLY have a lot in common. But finally, Veronica and Mac decrypt the disks and get the names of everyone in the secret society, along with the confessions of all their deepest, darkest secrets. She turns the membership list over to Nish, which is pretty awesome. Logan apologizes to Veronica, beats the shit out of Gory, and then apologizes to Piz, and between all of those actions, the door to reconciliation is open. Veronica then returns the hard drives to Jake, but not before telling him she knows the contents. However, Keith gets charges filed against him as a result of his actions, and we end with a teary-eyed Veronica casting a futile vote for her dad and walking off into the rain. I know it wasn't meant to be a series finale, but as a two-part episode, or even a season finale? That pretty much rocked. Good night, sweet show. Want more? The full recap starts right below!

We pick up right where we left off, as Logan tells Veronica that there's a video floating around of her and Piz having sex. Veronica tries to hide behind the fact that she and Piz have actually only done Everything But, but of course that's not the point, and Logan produces a CD of the video. Which he burned before or after he beat Piz to a bloody pulp? Neither seems particularly likely, I'd have to say. Also, Logan running off half-cocked to take Piz on just makes his "I need to process things" speech to Parker seem even more bullshit, which is saying a lot. Veronica finally asks about the blood, and Logan confesses that he and Piz "kind of had it out," which is about as accurate as saying that you kind of drew pistols at dawn. You ambushed the kid, Logan, and I'm not saying I wouldn't understand the instinct in your shoes, but you'll forgive me if, in the last episode of the series, I'm not going to have much time for you to play spin doctor. Veronica cannot deal with any of this, especially with Keith still around, and shoos Logan out. Keith then appears and heads out, and when he's gone, Veronica pops in the CD...

...and then she's knocking on Piz's door when he appears in the hallway, half-carried by Wallace. He tells her she should see the other guy. "His hands, particularly -- I tore those things up." Heh, but that's not even true, kid. Logan's knuckles have hardened with time and lots of use.

Inside, Veronica ministers to Piz as Wallace expresses his anger, calling Logan's attack a "drive-by." Piz thinks this has to do with what happened on the beach: "I think he still likes you." At least we know he doesn't have a concussion. Veronica tells them about the video and asks Piz if it was his doing, with a little more conviction than she used with Weevil, but still far from her usual accusatory tone of this season. Piz asks if she really thinks he would do that, and her voice quavers a bit as she says no, but she just doesn't understand how it happened. Wallace is loaded for bear, and he starts to leave to talk to Logan, but Veronica firmly tells him she'll handle Logan...

...and then there's a knock on Logan's door. But it's Parker, who busts in and accuses Logan of still being in love with Veronica. Logan tries to dig himself out with platitudes about how things are complicated, but Parker had her mind made up before she entered the room, and she tearfully dumps him. On the one hand, this is maybe a little convenient -- I wouldn't have expected Parker's views on relationships to be quite this inflexible -- but on the other, Logan's an open book here, and he's clearly been mooning after Veronica ever since the Piz kiss, so this is probably for the best.
