Sloane's the only Appleseed left behind after Dix runs off to secure a flight to Spain for Jack. He asks what he can do, and Jack asks if he's sure that he has no other means of contacting Prophet Five. Sloane says he doesn't; Gordo was his only resource. He is, of course, lying out his ass. Jack orders Sloane to use his underworld contacts to find out if anyone knows anything about Syd's capture. Sloane says he'll get right on it. Sloane then immediately runs away to some secret location so that he can phone Chubby the Bruce and plead with him for Sydney's life. Chubby's not available, though, and some rude German guy tells Sloane that the only woman whose life he can save is Nadia's and that perhaps he should pick his battles a little better in the future, no?

Élodie's Apartment of Soon-To-Be-Dead Daddies. Jack approaches and knocks on Élodie's door. She lets him in and asks if he has any info on Sydney. He doesn't. Desantis is strapped to a chair in another room, and Élodie says that if they don't get him to a hospital soon, he's going to die. He's not talking, but Élodie pulled a notebook from his jacket that has dates and addresses in it. Jack purses his lips and walks over to Desantis. "So this is how you do it," says Desantis. "Bring in a man in a suit to scare me into talking." Works for me. "You're right," snits Jack. "The suit shouldn't scare you. What should scare you is that I'm a very concerned father." And then he pulls out a very sharp blade. Hee. Desantis looks at it like, okay, the suit doesn't scare me, but THAT sure as hell does. Jack walks over and neatly slices off Desantis's right ear. Oh, ow. Élodie just has an expression on her face that's a cross between "Damn, this guy's a badass" and "Damn, I wish he was my luvah!"

Hypno Torture Room for Pregnant Spy Ladies. Dr. Funboy is continuing the regressive process, trying to get Sydney to attach to her memories of Vaughn and go back in time. He wants her to go back to the last time she was with Vaughn and live there in her memories with him. Too bad that the last time she was with Vaughn, he had a chest full of bullets and was about three minutes away from kicking the bucket. She goes back anyway and sits next to his hospital bed. She gently wakes him and they start talking about baby names. "What about Oscar?" he asks. "What if we have a girl?" she asks. "I meant for a girl," he laughs. Hee. A doctor enters and asks Vaughn if he's comfortable. "No," snarks Vaughn. Heh. The doctor tells Sydney that, when Vaughn's ready, she can give him some of the water in the glass, but only one slow sip at a time.

Vaughn asks Syd for a sip of the water, but she doesn't want to give it to him because back in the real world, Syd gave him the water and then he crashed. "Shh, shh," says Vaughn. "They can hear us. Come closer." Syd leans down to him and Vaughn tells her that they're using him against her and the only way to defeat them is for him to go away. Syd doesn't want him to go away; she misses him and she doesn't want to lose him again. "We'll find each other," says Vaughn. And then we switch to an earlier memory from Season Three when Syd and Vaughn were captured in the Korean prison and Syd said to Vaughn, "We always find each other." Suddenly, the baby kicks and Vaughn asks what it feels like. She takes his hand and puts it on her belly and he doesn't feel anything and then his face lights up as he says, "That?" Good god, Michael Vartan is gorgeous. Also? Vartan and Garner are terrific actors here, because how damn awkward must that be for him to have his hand on his ex-girlfriend's pregnant belly? But their scenes together are totally natural and lovely.
