Nolan honks the horn of his Mercedes G-Class outside of Hemingway Cottage at night. Leo comes running out of his house and hops into Nolan's passenger seat like an excited child, and while there's nothing to indicate it, Nolan has to be annoyed they're both wearing white suits. Leo suggests they go somewhere "cozy" and they're off. Emanda emerge from the bushes across the street, donning her black hoodie. She walks toward Leo's house.

Queen Victoria has summoned Ryan Huntley to Grayson Manor so she can vent over a glass of wine about Conrad's countermove of changing Daniel's contract. Huntley is calm about it because he thinks it's as simple as Victoria giving Daniel her blessing. He thinks Victoria is being counter-productive to both their cause and her relationship with Daniel. Standing in his way of marrying Emanda is just going to break his loyalty to her. Ryan convinces Victoria by saying the contract stipulates "marriage" is the only requirement, not "successful marriage," and she should let him rush into this if it's what he wants.

Amily lounges in Jack's bed at the Stowaway, reading a magazine and wearing very short jean shorts. Jack walks in wearing a suit with the bar's tip jar tucked under his arm. She asks who died. Classy. Jack claims "old, uptight Jack" died. He sits down on the bed and tells Amily he envies her free-spirit and asks to be forgiven for being such a party pooper. Amily asks about the tip jar. He says they made $500 just in tips this week because of her and he wants to take her to Atlantic City so she can watch him turn it into $5,000. She jumps up and hugs him with her arms and legs. They fall onto the bed together, laughing and kissing.

We pan around the inside of a dark Hemingway Cottage with a flashlight. Emanda goes straight for the glass cabinet with the video cassettes. She picks up a wooden plaque Leo won for two million sales of The Society Connection and flings it at the glass. She starts scooping all of the tapes into a bag. Emanda voice-over: "People are fond of saying that you can't unring a bell." FLASHBACK: Little Amanda cries as she reads Leo's book. VO continued: "And while that may be true, you can certainly smother its ring under the dull roar of conjecture and lies." Amanda finishes the book, grabs her smuggled photo of her father from under her mattress and sets it on fire in a waste bin. /FLASHBACK. Emanda finds Leo's stash of cigarettes, opens Amily's lighter and sets a lit cigarette on top of Leo's memoirs next to Amily's lighter. VO continued: "But some words ring out like church bells, rising above the din, calling us to the truth." Emanda walks away from Leo's burning house in slow-mo.
