Episode Report Card Sara M: A- | Grade It Now! YOU GRADE IT Play With Fire

By Sara M | Season 21 | Episode 10 | Aired on 11.17.2010

So while the losers are crying and cleaning up, the winners are enjoying their nasty Survivor pizza, which is just as nasty as ever. They eat for a while, and then the talk turns inevitably to the game. "Who do y'all think's running the show?" Chase asks. Jud says he doesn't know after last night's vote and thinks they should talk it over and get a "consensus" of how everyone is feeling. Jane and Chase exchange glances while NaOnka actually does something, pulling Jud aside to talk to him. The other Kelly finds this odd, since NaOnka and Jud hate each other. She can't think of a reason why they'd want to talk to each other out of her earshot. Because she's invisible. And dumb. Even dumber than Chase, who shrugs and says that's just what NaOnka is like and what she does. "On a volcano!" the other Kelly giggles. Before she can get some idea of the plottage going on behind her, Chase distracts her by observing that she doesn't talk much. "I know, it's kinda funny, huh?" "Weird," Chase nods. Hey, you know what's even weirder than that? Casting someone who doesn't talk much on a reality show based heavily on social interactions.

On the surface of the moon, NaOnka clues Jud in, telling him that the plan is to get rid of Brenda, but not talk about it in front of her close ally and general moron Purple Kelly. Jud confirms that NaOnka is "for real for real" about this and interviews that he's perfectly happy to work with NaOnka to get rid of Brenda and quite pleased that this opportunity basically fell into his lap. He does wonder if Chase won't run and tell Brenda what's going on. NaOnka says she's not sure because Chase is "scatterbrained." Also no-brained. Jud says he's down for whatever NaOnka has planned. Hooray for fake yet mutually beneficial friendships! NaOnka interviews that she's making a power move, and power moves are what you need to win this game. Actually, I'd say that letting everyone else make power moves and being on the right side of them frequently enough is what you need to win this game, which is why Jud's chances are much better than NaOnka's in my opinion.

The reward challenge winners apparently returned to camp and found out about how it burned down off-camera, so we cut to the next day, where there is nothing to eat at Libertad except hermit crabs, which Holly prepares. Somehow she's okay with eating hermit crabs but not those snails. Unfortunately, while she's busy doing that, Chase sneaks off with Brenda and tells her everything. "Oh my god," Brenda says, although she doesn't sound all that surprised. Chase blames Holly and Ben on the sudden move to eliminate Brenda and interviews that he trusts Brenda so he's going to side with her no matter what. "There is no reason or rhyme," he says. Wow, what a moron. What a naïve moron. He tells Brenda that he's been playing with his heart and his gut for this whole game, so to go with Holly's plan and backstab Brenda would make him look like "an ass." As opposed to now? Why is it obvious to everyone (including Shannon, who was only there for like two days and is an idiot) except Chase that he doesn't trust Brenda so much as want to have sex with her? Brenda interviews that even though she knows people are aligning against her, she doesn't think she has to worry about it, nor is she even "that impressed" with their plan. Yes, underestimating every single person in this game is a great way to win it. Just ask Marty. When you see him in the Loser's Lodge.
