This episode is no turkey, as we continue where yesterday's great episode left off: Ryan still wants to take out Volchok, but when he's finally given the chance to do so after Volchok returns to Newport and turns himself in -- with Sandy as his public defender! -- he decides to have a chat with the guy instead. Okay, he punches Volchok in the face first, but nobody's perfect. Volchok gets all vulnerable and three-dimensional and Ryan tells him that it's over. Then Volchok goes off to jail and we'll probably never see him again. Sigh.

Ryan and Sandy return to the Cohen residence, where Kirsten, Seth, Kaitlin, Taylor Townsend, and assorted homeless people Summer invited to the Cohen's Thanksgiving without asking if it was okay are all getting ready to enjoy dinner. Not enjoying Thanksgiving dinner are Julie and Summer, who share a touching mourning-Marissa moment before Summer cuts out of town again. So does Dr. Neil, who has accepted a job in Seattle because no one wanted to pay Michael Nouri anymore, I guess. Julie heads over to the Cohens and apologizes to Sandy, earning her a spot at the dinner table. She'd rather hang out with Ryan in the poolhouse and talk about Marissa, though. Want more? The full recap starts right below!

Previously on The O.C., someone decided to put this show on two days in a row even though are only sixteen episodes this season so they should really spread them out and I had things to do with my weekend, goddammit! But then those two episodes were so surprisingly good that I couldn't be mad at the show for long. I have had to do three recaps in as many days, so I apologize if I seem burnt out, but this was probably the best episode of this show I've seen since I started recapping it so I'm going to try really hard. And now I'm hyper-babbling like Taylor Townsend so let's get start. Okay go!

Kirsten exposits that Ryan hasn't spoken to any of the Cohens in days. Sandy says he's worried, too, since Ryan isn't speaking to Seth and that's unusual. "It's like he's turning into an island," Kirsten says. "Turning into?" Hasn't Ryan always been an island, really? A peninsula at the very least.

Ryan is speaking to one person, though: Julie. "Ever since we got back from Mexico, things haven't been the same," he says. I thought that's what he wanted, for things to not be the same when he got home. Whatever. Julie says that she's been banned from the Cohen house and "your parents" have never been this angry at Julie before. Not even when she framed Ryan for attempted murder, apparently.

Back in the Cohen house, Kirsten feels bad about barring Julie from Thanksgiving. This should make things really awkward for the two of them when they're at work at that business they supposedly run together. Except that that, like Kirsten's drinking problem and all her other storylines, is probably something we're supposed to forget about. Upstairs, Seth either got his cell phone back or bought a new one and is leaving Summer yet another long-ass message that she won't return. Seth, you are getting pathetic. Summer listens to the message but does not pick up the phone. She knocks a copy of "Atomic County" and some photos of her with Marissa onto the floor from the secret hiding place of unacknowledged grief and stares at them. I'm glad someone still has a few photos of Marissa since Ryan threw all of his away. Seth ends his message saying that he's hoping things between him and Ryan will blow over today, because it's Thanksgiving. Sandy is also convinced of this. Apparently, these people don't know anything about the time-honored Thanksgiving tradition of proximity to family members illuminating problems and leading to a dinner with covert hostility and awkward avoidance of certain topics as side dishes. And green bean casserole!

The family togetherness begins with a meeting in the kitchen. Everyone stands around and waits for the coffee to brew. The awkward silence is interrupted when Sandy gets a phone call. He leaves the room to take it. Kirsten snaps and says that she will not have her family mad at each other during the holidays. Seth and Ryan are ordered to go grocery shopping together. When they get back, everyone -- including Sandy, even though he says he has to go to work for a few hours today -- will cook dinner together. Sandy pulls Ryan aside and tells him that if he can't put his anger at Volchok aside for today, then there's no point in pretending to have a fun family holiday. Ryan says he isn't angry at Volchok; "I just wish he was dead, that's all." And he's totally allowed to feel like that, I think. It's necessarily island-like to wish that the person who caused the death of someone you loved was dead himself. Ryan leaves for the poolhouse, and the ominous music starts up as Sandy calls someone. It's Volchok!

Back from commercial, Volchok nervously paces around Newport Beach until Sandy arrives and picks him up. "Thanks for coming," Volchok says. He didn't know where else to go or who else to turn to, as his parents are either dead or never existed in the first place. "I'm not your friend. I'm your lawyer," Sandy snaps. Hmm... I sense a certain conflict of interest here, but okay.

Seth brings a bagel to Taylor Townsend, who's hiding under his bed. "A bagel? I asked for an egg white and some cantaloupe," Taylor complains, not unlike the homeless people I used to give food to who would then throw the food back at me and demand money instead. Seth says he didn't guarantee Taylor Townsend room service during their temporary arrangement. He'd also appreciate it if this arrangement ended by the time Summer returns, as he was hoping to have sex with her in his bedroom. Seth seems to be oblivious to Summer's complete lack of participation in their relationship. Taylor Townsend isn't, and lets it slip that she knows Summer and Seth need time together since their relationship is "hanging by a thread." Pot calling kettle, Taylor! Your marriage to some French guy you just met and are trying to divorce ain't so great, either. Seth asks Taylor Townsend what gave her that idea, and she covers that she must have dreamt it, like she dreamt that she and Gérard Depardieu were teammates on The Amazing Race, WHICH WOULD BE TOTALLY AWESOME, BY THE WAY. There must be some way to make this happen. Anyway, Seth is suspicious that Summer may have said something to Taylor Townsend when she was at Brown last week. Taylor denies this, then turns away from Seth and makes the "oh shit! Disaster ahead!" face.

Cut to Summer talking to her dad on the phone. She's at the airport, rethinking coming home. Dr. Neil says he wants her home for the holiday, especially since he has some news for her. Summer tries to spin some environmental crap about turkeys being needlessly slaughtered so Americans can get fatter. "I like turkey," Dr. Neil says. Yeah, no shit you do. Summer and Dr. Neil's conversation is interrupted by the sound of a barking dog.

Dr. Neil walks into Kaitlin's room to find her holding the Ugliest Dog Ever, some little yappy thing with gross long hair on its face and tail and no hair on the rest of its body. Kaitlin says she found it on the pier and it fits in her purse, so she's keeping it. Also, it chewed up Dr. Neil's expensive shoes and peed in the den. Ha ha! Dr. Neil can't do anything about it since he's cheating on Julie, so he retreats. He gets back on the phone with Summer, who says her father sounds like he lives in a "looney bin." Um, no, Summer. They don't allow pets in looney bins. Everyone knows that. Dr. Neil begs Summer to come home and stop the madness. Meanwhile, Summer is wearing a T-shirt with what looks like a picture of Kirsten on it with a big red bar across her face. That should make dinner at the boyfriend's house awkward (yes, I know now it's Ann Coulter on Summer's shirt, but for most of this episode I was like 'what is Summer's problem with Kirsten? How rude.')

Julie is also on the phone, because everyone on this show is on the phone now. She's talking to her private investigator, who I like to pretend is Gene Parmesan from Arrested Development because it keeps that show alive. She has to get off the phone quickly when Dr. Neil comes in the room. He tries to have a Serious Talk with her, but she says she's too busy cooking for Thanksgiving since they won't be going to the Cohens this year. She won't say why, obviously, and takes off to buy supplies at the grocery store.

Ryan and Seth shop miserably. Ryan says he can't "get over everything" just because Kirsten made them go shopping together. I hope when he does get over everything, he thanks Seth and apologizes to him profusely. The pair bumps into Julie, who asks Ryan to join her in the sample aisle. The two eat toothpicks of gouda and chat about the progress of the private investigator's search for Volchok, talking out of the sides of their mouths like they're super-spies or something. Cute.

Kirsten is surprised to find Taylor Townsend in her kitchen, eating her stuffing. Taylor tries to make her escape, but Kirsten calls her back and asks her what's wrong. Taylor says it's too private to tell Kirsten. Kirsten says she'll make Taylor a plate of food. Taylor gets chatty.

Ryan tells Julie that it's going to be hard for them to meet since Sandy knows that Ryan hasn't given up on Volchok. Julie tells him to lie to Sandy that he feels much better to get out from under Sandy's watchful eye(brows). Ryan says he'll stop by Sandy's office and smooth things over. Julie asks him if he knows how to cook a turkey, and he just gives her a "come on now, Julie" glare.

Taylor Townsend tells Kirsten and us more about her new husband, who swept her off her feet in a matter of weeks and then married her. So not that much more information, but it's something, I guess. "Taylor, you're usually so responsible," Kirsten says, like she knows. Taylor says that her husband won't agree to an annulment. He's stubborn as well as "sexy" and "well-endowed." Kirsten rethinks asking Taylor to tell her everything. Taylor says she's too afraid to tell her mother what happened, but Kirsten says that she knows Mrs. T and she's sure she'll love Taylor no matter what. We haven't seen much of Taylor's mom, but it's been enough to tell us that Kirsten is totally wrong here. Taylor Townsend has a better idea: Kirsten can tell Mrs. T for her! Kirsten is resistant to the idea, but then Taylor Townsend starts crying and speaking French and Kirsten agrees to warm Mrs. T up to the idea before Taylor tells her the truth. Taylor volunteers to help Kirsten cook dinner if Kirsten talks to Mrs. T today.

Seth waits at the airport with a dozen red roses. He gives them to Summer after an awkward kiss hello.

Sandy tells Volchok that he's going to talk to the D.A. and hopefully have Volchok's guilty plea entered and a sentence figured out by the end of the day. The justice system works amazingly fast on holidays. It certainly didn't work this fast when I had to wait in line in Traffic Court because they screwed up the paperwork on my traffic ticket (which I ended being not guilty of, by the way) and then I had to go clear it up and waste four hours of my day because of something that wasn't my fault to begin with. They were equally slow returning the check for the price of the ticket to me, which I had to pay before being allowed to argue my case because when it comes to California and traffic tickets, you are guilty until proven innocent because the state needs to get out of debt. But I digress... Volchok isn't pleased to hear that he'll have to serve time, but Sandy reminds him that he did KILL SOMEBODY, so that's to be expected. They don't say how much time he'll serve though, which means he could be out in six months and we can see him at the end of the season, right? Right? Sandy says that Volchok made a lot of mistakes, but by turning himself in, he's starting to make up for them. Volchok says that living in Mexico felt like jail anyway. Sandy says he'll put Volchok up in a hotel while he sorts things out with the D.A. Volchok thanks him for helping him and says he just wants this whole thing to be over. Damn, Volchok. If only you were this three-dimensional last season, none of this would have happened in the first place.

Ryan runs up to Sandy's office, where a co-worker says Sandy just left with his client. That's when Ryan sees Sandy driving Volchok around. Well, it's not like Ryan wasn't ever going to find out that Sandy helped Volchok like this. Sandy really should have handed Volchok over to a different public defender. If I were Ryan, I'd kind of hate him for this, especially if Volchok served any less than life in prison.

Taylor Townsend shows Kirsten the perfectionist way to baste a turkey. Ryan walks in and demands to know where Sandy is, in lieu of saying hello to Taylor. Kirsten doesn't know where Sandy is. Ryan takes off.

Summer and Seth enter the house, with Summer protesting that she has to see her father soon. Does she really, though? Dr. Neil didn't even bother to pick her up at the airport. They enter the kitchen, where Taylor and Summer hug hello and Seth is surprised that Taylor came out from under his bed. Kirsten tells Seth and Summer to do some cooking while she and Taylor go face Mrs. T. Seth is pleased to have alone time with Summer and says that his bedroom is calling for her. "Give me five minutes," he says, before changing it to ten. Ah, with maturity and age comes the ability to hold out for longer.

Back at the Roberts-Cooper home, Julie is still trying to figure out how to cook a turkey. Is it really that difficult? Don't the turkeys have instructions written on them? I guess I should reserve judgment until the day I actually have to cook a turkey. Dr. Neil still wants to know why they can't go to the Cohen's for dinner. The doorbell rings. Dr. Neil goes to answer it while Julie stabs her turkey with a meat thermometer.

Ryan's at the door. Dr. Neil tells him that Julie is not available. Ryan clenches his teeth and says that Dr. Neil doesn't understand what's going on. Dr. Neil says that's true; he doesn't understand all the phone calls or why they can't eat at the Cohen's tonight. All he knows is that he used to love being with Julie and now he doesn't. He's a bit of a fair-weather fiancé, isn't he? It's only been five months since Julie's freaking daughter died. That's something Julie will never get over, so it's not really fair of Dr. Neil to expect her to be totally normal again so soon. Go liposuction yourself, Dr. Neil.

Mrs. T threatens to call the INS on some guy for not getting the right candles for the Yacht Club's Thanksgiving event. Based on last night's episode, there aren't any Mexican people in Mexico anymore, so it stands to reason that they'd all wind up here. Taylor pushes Kirsten to talk to Mrs. T to break the ice. Mrs. T insincerely compliments Kirsten's weight and hair and then, equally insincerely, says that the holidays without her daughter are difficult for her. Kirsten says that she's a mother too, and knows how sometimes you have to deal with your kids disappointing you. "Of course, and you would know," Mrs. T says. The "T" does not stand for tact, ladies and gentlemen. "You know, with the shooting and the car accident and Seth burning down the Newport Group," she finishes. Dude, she could at least cite something that Ryan or Seth did on purpose. I mean, Ryan didn't shoot anyone and the car accident wasn't nearly his fault. Seth did accidentally leave a joint around that burn down the Newport Group, but still. It was an accident. Kirsten says she was talking about Mrs. T and Taylor. Mrs. T says she loves her daughter unconditionally and quotes Mother Teresa, who didn't have any children so what does she know about it? With that, Taylor Townsend comes out of hiding. Kirsten leaves them to talk.

Seth and Summer are in Seth's bedroom and they're still fully clothed. Which is probably for the best, since I'm sure Seth will be a little shocked to see Summer's new rebellion against shaving. Anyway, Summer's doing yoga instead of doing Seth. Or maybe we're looking at them post-coitus, as Seth says he's surprised that Summer didn't say anything about his tattoo. She says she did: she told him to have it removed. He says he cried when he got it. They kiss, but then Summer sees a cartoon version of Marissa on Seth's wall and pulls away. She won't admit to Seth what's wrong, though. Instead, she drags Seth out to work at a soup kitchen. When Sandy greets her on his way into the house and her way out, she spouts some facts about people living below the poverty level and takes off. Sandy muses that Summer is a "young Sandy Cohen." I guess not shaving excess body hair is the first sign of that.

Sandy heads for the kitchen and cuts off Kirsten's complaints that no one will help her with dinner by saying that Volchok came to see him. "Volchok Volchok?" Kirsten asks. No, Brian Volchok. Geez, Kirsten. Sandy says he's got Volchok stashed away until all the paperwork is figured out and he's going to tell Ryan after the holidays. Ryan appears from behind Sandy to add that this will also be after Volchok is in jail, preventing Ryan from being able to kill him. Sandy doesn't deny this. Ryan says he can't believe Sandy would defend Volchok. "Sandy and I would only do what's best for you," Kirsten says, even though she didn't even know anything about this until just now. Ryan storms off. Again.

Ryan interrogates a friend of Volchok's at the beach. The guy says he hasn't heard from Volchok in months, but Heather might know where he is. Ryan wants her phone number.

After a series of shots of surfing and other beach activities I really don't see happening in late November even if this is California, Heather meets Ryan, who's wearing his badass sunglasses for maximum hardcorosity. Heather tells Ryan that she jumped out of Volchok's car as soon as she could and tried to find help. Ryan doesn't care. Heather says she doesn't know where Volchok is and hasn't heard from him. The last time she spoke to him, he sounded "pretty messed up" about the accident. "Good," Ryan says.

Kirsten calls Sandy, who's driving in front of a green screen. He says he's looked "everywhere" for Ryan (i.e. the Bait Shop and the diner), but can't find him. Kirsten asks if she should cancel dinner. Sandy says he's still got a few tricks up his sleeve. Kirsten hangs up when a sobbing Taylor enters the kitchen. Taylor reports that her mother, who claims to love her unconditionally, told Taylor she was "irresponsible," "stupid," and "would never be truly thin because [she has] a naturally large thorax." Way to bust out the entomology terms there, Mrs. T. Mrs. T also kicked Taylor out of her house. Mother Teresa never would have done that, Mrs. T. She probably wouldn't report a guy to the INS for buying the wrong candles, either. Kirsten offers to let Taylor stay at the Cohen's. "Forever?" Taylor asks, hopefully. Kirsten quickly says it's only for the night. Taylor thanks "Kiki" and starts helping out with the dinner again.

Seth and Summer show up with about twenty people from the homeless shelter they've invited to dinner without asking Kirsten first or even making sure she had enough food. Summer wouldn't have done something so rude to her caged chickens, so why did she do it to Kirsten? There's a difference between being selfish in grief and having absolutely no respect for the people around you. A homeless guy tells Kirsten he really needs to use her bathroom. Seth points him in the direction and hands him a box of matches that they guy will probably use to light up his crack pipe. Kirsten tries to hold her nose and keep from committing suicide at the same time. Taylor offers to give the homeless people a basic personal hygiene lesson, which I'm sure they won't find at all condescending. They're homeless people, not kindergartners. Kirsten orders Seth to keep the homeless people contained and occupied. He asks the group for a show of hands of who hasn't seen the first season of Battlestar Galactica. "I missed the season finale!" one guy says hilariously.

Sandy gives Julie a call looking for Ryan, assuming that Ryan called her as soon as he found out that Volchok was in custody. Ryan didn't tell Julie this, however, and she's shocked to find out. Sandy tells her that Volchok should be in jail and the whole matter will be finished by tonight. "So it's really over?" Julie asks. She hangs up on Sandy and is still reeling from the news when Kaitlin walks in. Julie won't tell her what's going on, though, so Kaitlin takes off, warning Dr. Neil that Julie is "having a meltdown" on her way out. Dr. Neil asks Julie if she's okay, but she just says she's trying to focus on making dinner and orders him to get out of her way.

Ryan is checking all the local motels for Volchok. That's where Sandy finds him. He offers to take Ryan somewhere. Oooh, a special surprise trip!

Summer scours the Cohen place for extra chairs while the homeless people plot how to kill Seth so they can rape all the womenfolk. And steal silverware. Am I being a little bit harsh and coldhearted towards homeless people? Yes. Do I have a reason to be? Also yes. Seth tells Summer he needs to really talk to her.

Dr. Neil tells Julie the same thing. He's sick of her distraction tactics. Julie throws a ton of cream into the mashed potatoes, pronounces them ruined, and leaves for the store. On her way out, she finds Kaitlin cleaning up the latest mess her ugly dog made. Julie snaps at Kaitlin to get the dog out of the house before she has it put to sleep. "God. You would, wouldn't you," Kaitlin says with a delivery that reminds you she's Marissa's sister. Kaitlin says she's going to the Cohens' for Thanksgiving and drives off with her dog. I didn't even know Kaitlin was old enough to drive.

Dr. Neil catches up with Julie as she's getting in her convertible. "I love you, but you are acting insane," he says.

Summer tells Seth that she is not acting insane. Spending all her time with Marissa doing trivial things when she could have been saving caged chickens was insane. Seth tells her to be honest. This is all about Marissa.

Dr. Neil is telling Julie the same thing. "You've got to stop running away and let yourself grieve," he says,

Summer is running away from Seth, saying she has to get home to see her father. Seth begs her not to go.

Julie tells Dr. Neil that he's the one who put distance between them when he had the affair. Dr. Neil denies that anything happened between him and Gloria, which I don't think is true. Julie says that when she gets back she wants Dr. Neil out of her house. Dr. Neil points out that it's actually his house. "We'll see about that," Julie says. Um... I guess she can try but I really don't know how she can get the house from him since they aren't married and she came into their relationship with absolutely nothing. She drives off in the luxury car that Dr. Neil probably paid for.

Summer leaves the Cohen house.

Night falls. Sandy and Ryan pull up at a motel. Sandy says Volchok is in room 102. He says he trusts Ryan to go in there and... uh... not kill Volchok, I guess? Seth trusted Ryan too, and that didn't work out so well. Good luck with that, Sandy.

Ryan walks right into Volchok's room. "Been waiting a long time for this, I bet," Volchok says, daring Ryan to kill him. Ryan gives Volchok a vicious punch to the face, breaks a nearby bottle, and holds it above Volchok's head. Volchok doesn't fight back; he just says he doesn't care if Ryan kills him, he just wants it to be over.

After the commercial, the ever-trusting Sandy has called for police backup. He tells them to wait outside and give Ryan and Volchok some more time together. I don't really think Sandy's acting like a very responsible parent here.

Inside, Ryan has apparently decided against killing Volchok and is sitting on the bed. "You didn't try to help, you didn't even stop," he says. Volchok says he panicked. Tears well in Ryan's eyes as he says that Marissa died on the side of the road. Volchok says he thinks about that night every day, all the time. Ryan doesn't care about that. He just wants to know why Volchok did it. "I don't know," Volchok says. He was going after Ryan because Ryan got the girl that Volchok didn't seem to want all that much when he cheated on her, so whatever. Volchok says he just wanted Ryan to pull over and then things spun out of control. Ryan tries not to cry as he realizes that Marissa's death was just a mistake. Volchok says that doesn't change anything (except for, I'm guessing, the charges against him), and he's ready to let Ryan kill him on purpose. Ryan says he won't do Volchok any favors. He can live with what he did. Which is still better than dying from it. "It's over," Ryan says. He leaves the motel room and is immediately arrested for assault. Okay, he isn't. Volchok is arrested and Sandy tells Ryan he's proud of him. They head home for dinner.

Summer makes it back to her house to find the table set and Thanksgiving dinner made. But no one is there except Julie, which is one of the saddest things I've ever seen. Just heartwrenching. Summer sits down to Julie, who says that everyone else is "gone." "We can't go on anymore like this, can we?" she asks. "No," Summer whispers. They hold hands. What a great scene.

At the Cohens', Seth wonders if he should go get Summer. Taylor tells him that Summer needs to deal with Marissa's death alone before she can deal with it with Seth, so he should just leave her to do that. Kaitlin -- I don't even care, you guys. I'm still kind of emotional from that last scene. I mean, out of all the cagefights and comic books and Mexico trips, that one short, simple scene was the most powerful and effective expression of grief. When people die, you usually don't get to chase down their killers or have face-to-face chats with them in a motel room or enter a cagefight to punish yourself. But you do bond with the people who have the same-sized hole in their hearts as the one in yours.

Okay, anyway, Ryan and Sandy finally show up for dinner. Kirsten hugs Ryan and Sandy asks Kirsten who all their guests are. Seth says it a long story. "Can you pass the gravy?" one guy asks Ryan. "Sure, buddy," Ryan says, totally nonchalant about the twenty homeless people he's sharing a table with. Sandy recognizes the homeless guy, Darryl, a.k.a. The Only One With More Than Five Lines, as someone he defended a few years back. Darryl says he remembers calling Sandy "Crazy Eyebrows Man." AND IT'S THE PERFECT EPISODE. Another homeless guy recognizes Kaitlin's new dog as his own. The dog recognizes him, too. Oh, please let that dog have mites that can jump onto humans, specifically Kaitlin. And Dr. Neil. Taylor Bibles that "the Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away," then starts babbling about her Christian school upbringing. "You are a total freakshow," Kaitlin says; "It is so awesome!" Yes it is, Kaitlin. I might like you after all.

Summer leaves a message for Seth. She's at the airport, heading back to school. She tells him that he was right about her avoiding dealing with Marissa. "I'm sorry I'm such a mess, it's just... I miss my friend," Summer says. Awwww. She says she loves him and she'll call him when she gets over everything. Dr. Neil is at the airport, too, and he says that while he didn't like Seth at first, he does now and he thinks they'll be fine. And by the way, Dr. Neil was offered a job at a "wonderfully quirky" hospital called Seattle Grace and he thinks he's going to take it. If by "wonderfully quirky" you mean "full of bombs and sex," then yes. The Stepmonster, who Dr. Neil is pretending he didn't have an affair with, will visit him from time to time so they can not sleep with each other. Dr. Neil says he's sorry Thanksgiving didn't work out, because he thought both he and Summer could have used a good one. Yes, because Dr. Neil's been through so much, what with his expensive shoes getting eaten and... er... that's about it. Shut up, Dr. Neil. But he's leaving, which again makes this THE PERFECT EPISODE! Summer offers to take a later flight so she and Dr. Neil can have Thanksgiving at the airport Chili's that's staffed by people who are thrilled to be there instead of home with their families. Dr. Neil puts an arm around Summer and kisses the top of her head in a very fatherly way. Very sweet.

At the Cohen house, the doorbell rings. Sandy goes to get it, expecting more homeless people, but it's just Julie, who may well be homeless since I don't think Dr. Neil is just going to let her stay in his house. Sandy gives Julie a rather frosty reception. She sincerely apologizes to him. "I don't think I've ever heard you say that before," Sandy says. "I don't think I ever meant it," Julie replies. All is forgiven, and he invites her in. Kirsten offers Julie a seat at the table, but she'd rather talk to Ryan. Alone. Sandy figures she's not plotting a way to shank Volchok in prison and agrees to it.

Julie and Ryan head for the poolhouse. She takes a seat on Ryan's bed while he stands in the doorway looking uncomfortable. "Tell me about her," Julie asks. "Anything. Just tell me about her." Well, she probably doesn't want to hear everything, but Ryan takes a seat to her and starts: "I remember the first time I saw her. She was wearing this white top thing and I think she had jeans on. She was standing at the bottom of the driveway. And I thought she was really hot. Really hot." They agree that Marissa had a beautiful smile. They talk and try to laugh while the Cohens stop spying on them and go back to the table.
