Microbes!

There's a lot of jockeying for position going on, with Kim in the middle. One group is Alicia, Christina and Tarzan, and the other group is Chelsea and Sabrina. Both groups think that Kim is on their side. Kim is basically just waiting to see how things shake out to decide how to play it.

Reward Challenge is basically Dizzy Bats and then solve a puzzle. The winner gets to go on a yacht, take a shower, change clothes and have dinner. It's fairly close, but Chelsea wins. She chooses Sabrina and Kim to go with her. Man, Kim is racking up the rewards. While this may seem dumb at first, Chelsea doesn't want to leave Sabrina at camp to talk to the people on the other side and potentially be swayed. Not sure why she's taking Kim, though.

Left behind at camp, Alicia rallies the troops to vote for Chelsea. They also decide that Kim had better still want to vote with them when she returns. They feel like if Kim comes back and says she doesn't want to vote for Chelsea now, they will know where her true loyalties lie, and Alicia is willing to consider taking Tarzan to the finals instead of Kim.

When Kim returns, she compares notes with Alicia and convinces Alicia that Tarzan was trying to play them both and take out Kim first, and then Alicia. So now Alicia still wants to vote out Chelsea, but if she wins immunity, she wants to get rid of Tarzan.

Immunity Challenge. Using only one hand, hook together fish hooks and then hook bags of puzzle pieces to complete a fish puzzle. Kim and Alicia lead pretty much the whole way and then Alicia wins immunity by a few seconds.

Kim tells Sabrina and Chelsea that she's working on Alicia and she really hopes to get her to vote Tarzan. Kim also knows that she can't push for Tarzan too hard, or they might realize that she has a secondary alliance. Here's what makes no sense to me: if Alicia isn't planning on taking Kim to the finals, why wouldn't she blindside her right now? She's got the numbers and God knows that Kim might win all the remaining immunity challenges. This could be Alicia's last chance. So why is she targeting Chelsea of all people?

I don't know why I ever doubted Kim's ability to get shit done. The ladies band together and vote out Tarzan, which they should have done long ago. Now it's two (Alicia and Christina) against two (Sabrina and Chelsea) with Kim in the middle. Sunday night should be interesting.

Tikiano. Night 33. The tribe has just returned from voting out Kat. They discuss how ironic it was to vote out Kat after she ran her mouth about how blindsides were hilarious. Tarzan interviews that the women should have voted him out before Kat (he's right) and that now he has a plan to get himself to the final four and maybe three.

Tarzan pulls Kim aside for some strategy talk. She says that she's not against him making the final four. He posits that Kim's best strategy is to take Alicia and Christina to the final three, because no one will vote for Christina. I guess it's just a given that no one will vote for Alicia either. Tarzan adds that he thinks he can convince the jury to vote for Kim. Kim isn't sure that Alicia will take her, but Tarzan thinks that Alicia is all in on Kim. As is everyone else on the tribe, apparently. Tarzan adds that they need to get rid of Chelsea . Kim interviews that Tarzan's strategy is sound, but she really likes Chelsea and doesn't want to vote her out.

Alicia joins them and Kim fills her in on Tarzan's strategy and then leaves. Alicia is worried that she can't beat Kim in the finals, but Tarzan tells her that he'll push her to the jury members. Hey, didn't he just promise the same thing to Kim? That Tarzan! Playing both sides! He sells it to Alicia by saying that everyone on the jury feels betrayed by Kim, which may be true. Tarzan interviews that he's been playing the game in segments: don't be voted out first, make it to the merge, make it to see his wife, make it to the final four and make it to the final three. And he's happy with final three, if that's as far as it goes.

The morning, the women discuss how to portion out their remaining rice. Chelsea interviews that the game has come down to three on three: Chelsea, Kim and Sabrina versus Alicia, Christina and Tarzan. Chelsea knows that the other side thinks Kim is with them, but Chelsea is sure she's not. How sure, Chelsea? And isn't this the point where people should be talking about taking out Kim, since everyone likes her and no one can beat her in the finals?

Chelsea and Christina go for a walk to get Treemail and Christina says that she's been dreaming about food all night. Chelsea says that if she wins reward, she'll take Christina and Christina promises the same. As they walk back, Chelsea lays out some strategy, including that Alicia wants to take Christina and Tarzan to the finals. Chelsea says she thinks it's a mistake to take Tarzan, because she thinks that the men will vote for him over any woman. And then she asks Christina to keep this conversation private, even though she's best buds with Alicia.

Christina seems to immediately go back to camp and tells Alicia, Kim and Tarzan everything that Chelsea said. I guess that proves that they think Kim is in their alliance or Christina wouldn't talk that openly in front of her. Also, I'm getting why no one likes Christina. Kim hopes that Chelsea didn't blow her cover by claiming that Kim was on her side. So Kim goes to Chelsea and reveals that Christina blabbed. Chelsea is pissed. Kim interviews that she's playing both sides and all that needs to happen is one conversation between the sides and she's gone because no one will trust her. Seriously, if Chelsea and Alicia ever got together and compared notes, Kim would be screwed. I can't believe that hasn't happened yet.

Reward Challenge. The contestants unscrew a disk from a pole by spinning around it. Once they have collected three disks, they use them to solve a puzzle which will give them a three-number combination. First one to do the combination and raise a flag wins a night on a yacht, including a shower, meal and clean clothes. That sounds like an awesome reward.

So if you've ever played Dizzy Bats (or seen it played), that's what the first part of this competition is like, minus the drinking. Sabrina and Alicia seem to take an early lead, but Kim catches up and everyone reaches the decoder around the same time. It's three concentric circles with numbers that line up when the disks are spun. Chelsea is the first to try and she fails. Alicia tries and she fails. Chelsea keeps trying. Kim and Christina also try, but before they can get it, Chelsea finally gets her combination right. She screams and hugs her disks in celebration. Of course, Probst asks her to choose someone to take. Chelsea says that she knows Kat caught a lot of grief for her choices last time, so she's going to try to be fair by taking Sabrina. And then she picks Kim too. Well, it's smart not to leave Sabrina at camp with the others, but Kim? Why did she pick Kim? I feel like Kim is magical, the way that she convinces everyone to do things for her. And she's not even trying! They just love her!

Chelsea, Sabrina, and Kim are ferried out to the yacht. They find these white tunics that make them look like members of a cult. As they sip champagne, Chelsea and Kim talk about how sure they are that the three of them will be in the finals. Kim interviews that being in camp makes you feel like an animal and a savage, so stepping out of it for an afternoon helped her remember who she is as a person. So I'm guessing she's not going to vote out Chelsea, especially since they just said they loved each other.

Back at camp, Alicia and Christina are bitching about Chelsea's picks, especially Kim. They're right; Chelsea shouldn't have pretended she was picking out of fairness. I don't think Tarzan has gone on any of these rewards. Christina brings up how Chelsea said she would take her on reward. Alicia and Christina tell Tarzan that they're definitely voting Chelsea out if she doesn't win immunity. They know it might be a tie, so they plan to force Kim to vote with them to see if she's really in their alliance. Alicia interviews that she thinks Kim would be stupid to allow the vote to go to a tie, but that's Kim's decision to make. Tarzan lays out his theory for the ladies: that if Kim returns and says she doesn't want to vote out Chelsea any more, they'll know she's not with them. That he thinks Kim and Chelsea are secretly a team (secretly?). That he thinks Alicia and Christina have a better chance in the finals if they take him and not Kim. Christina agrees and Alicia interviews that they need to get rid of Chelsea first and then think about getting rid of Kim . Alicia has stumbled onto the only way she will win this game; now to wait and see if she actually follows through.

Back on the yacht, Kim, Chelsea and Sabrina are eating and drinking and talking about how happy they are to be eating. Kim says that she doesn't think Alicia and Christina doubt her allegiance to them at all. Sabrina interviews that Kim has this magical ability to look at you and make you believe whatever she's saying. She does! She is magic! Kim interviews that the reward helped her clarify her purpose in the game, but she also recognizes that they only have three votes, which isn't enough.

Tikiano. Day 36. Tarzan is making stew in his buff and washing his hair in the cooler. He is gross. Alicia walks up and starts talking to him about how he plans to cook the coconut and Tarzan won't give specifics about how he's going to cook it. She just wants to know if he's using his buff to drain it. As they argue, the other three women return. Okay, Tarzan is probably right that TECHNICALLY, there may be nothing wrong with using dirty clothes to prepare food, but he doesn't seem to realize that it skeeves people out. It's like if I dropped food on my arm and then licked it off, that wouldn't gross me out. But I wouldn't lick food off someone else's arm, because that's gross even though the other person may be cleaner or the same amount of clean as me. I don't know how Tarzan doesn't get that.

As Tarzan washes his back in the ocean with his buff (see? Now eat out of that!), Kim and Alicia compare notes. Alicia says that Tarzan talked Kim down while she was gone and tried to convince them to take him to the finals instead of Kim. They discuss what Tarzan's plan may have been all along and Kim adds that she just doesn't want to see a man win in the end, given how everything started. Kim interviews that Alicia is only keeping Tarzan around because she thinks he's a minion, so Kim's strategy is to convince Alicia that Tarzan is a mastermind planning to take Alicia out. So here's how Kim does it: she reveals that Tarzan said he would convince the jury to vote for her. Alicia reveals that Tarzan told her the same thing. See? That's what Kim was talking about when playing both sides; they compare notes and you're screwed. Kim adds that Tarzan was probably going to take Christina and Sabrina to the finals. I don't know about that part; that might be Kim's embellishment.

Kim and Alicia are chagrined that they almost got played by Tarzan of all people. Alicia interviews that after talking with Kim, she realized that Tarzan wants to take Kim out and then take Alicia out and make Alicia look like a fool. Here's why Kim is brilliant: if you can convince Alicia that someone was trying to make her look stupid, she will do anything to get rid of that person. That's her biggest fear -- looking foolish or like she got played. And if you can get her emotional, she won't follow logic. Because seriously, it is Alicia's best play to take Tarzan and Christina to the finals. But now that she's pissed at Tarzan, she'll never do it.

Christina joins them and they fill her in. She adds that Tarzan asked her if she was worried about Alicia at all and Kim and Alicia are even more convinced that they're right. Alicia does a long interview where she sounds like an idiot while claiming that she's not going to get played and no one makes her look stupid and she's the most powerful player in the game. Oh, Alicia. Maybe I'm wrong and maybe you'll win, but clearly Kim is the most powerful player right now. Anyway, Alicia's plan is to vote out Chelsea, but if Chelsea wins immunity, to vote out Tarzan. Here's how dumb Alicia is: she had a guaranteed 3-2 vote for whomever once Chelsea was gone. Now she wants to get rid of someone she was pretty sure was going to vote with her and put herself in the minority! No, she won't look like a fool at all.

Immunity Challenge. The tribe assembles and Probst explains the deal: they have to use large S-shaped fishhooks to pick up bags of puzzle pieces and then use the pieces to complete a fish skeleton puzzle. Basically, the frame of the fish is hanging up and the pieces form the bones of the skeleton, all fitting into three different colored sections, like bones from a spine. Oh and they have to do the whole thing with one hand tied behind their backs.

Everyone gets the first bag of pieces around the same time. What surprised me was that the pieces seem to be able to go into any slot in the appointed section. Like there are 12 slots for the green pieces, but you can put any piece into any slot. So it's not so much a puzzle as it is busywork. Anyway, Kim, Alicia and Chelsea all finish the first section and run to get the bag. Sabrina and Christina are not too far behind and Tarzan is bringing up the rear.

Kim and Alicia return with their second bags at the same time, but Alicia has trouble opening the bag (since she has to use her teeth) and Kim takes the lead. Everyone else returns with the second bag and I say to my husband, "What happened to Chelsea? Is she dead?" She was neck-and-neck with the leaders and then she suddenly disappeared. Turns out that she had a lot of trouble picking up the second bag of pieces and fell way behind. Everyone finishes the second section and goes back for the final bag, except for Chelsea, who is at least working on it, but way behind.

Alicia is the first to snag the third bag and Sabrina is right with her. Kim was behind, but she gets back and uses her magic powers to catch up. It comes down to Alicia and Kim and both drop pieces out of nervousness, making it very, very close. Alicia finally finishes and runs back to the mat, winning Immunity. Man, how different this game would be if Alicia would use what might be her only chance to vote out Kim. Of course, Kim has an Idol, but Alicia doesn't know that. Right? Does she? We only saw Kim tell Chelsea.

The tribe returns to camp as Alicia interviews that she can't believe she won and she's thrilled. They sit around discussing the challenge and suddenly Tarzan yells out, "You bitch! How dare you beat me?" I think he was trying to be sarcastic, like how you call your friend a bitch when she says that she lost twenty pounds from the stomach flu or whatever, but he doesn't get that only women and gay guys can call a woman a bitch and get away with it. Then Tarzan adds that he should have won that challenge because it wasn't even athletic. Alicia's like, "Thanks question mark?" Alicia interviews that she can get rid of Chelsea or Tarzan. Right now, she controls three votes: hers, Christina's, and Tarzan's. She's debated whether to give up that power or take out Tarzan before he can take her out. How exactly would Tarzan take her out? I feel like she's not thinking this through.

Kim pulls Sabrina aside and fills her in on how she hornswoggled Alicia and Christina into thinking Tarzan is an unstable threat. Sabrina interviews that she doesn't know how Kim did it, but she may have convinced Alicia to get rid of Tarzan . Sabrina is also aware that Kim may be lying and Alicia may change her mind. Sabrina's actually playing a really smart game. I don't know if she could beat Kim in the end, but I think she probably has the best chance of anyone.

Kim now pulls Chelsea aside and tells her what she did, but adds that Alicia is still talking about taking Chelsea out first and then Tarzan. Kim says that she pushed for taking Tarzan out first as much as she could without making it obvious that she's working with Chelsea. Kim knows that Tarzan will be pushing to take her out, so she's worried too. Chelsea points out that Kim could play her Idol and Kim says she's actually considering it -- she's that worried. Kim interviews that as much as she wants to see Chelsea stay, if she senses that the others are voting out Chelsea, she will go along with it to save herself. She doesn't want to play her Idol now, when she could use it round to automatically get into the final four. That was a nice talk between two friends who are clearheaded about how this game is played. It's like they were saying, "I'm doing what I can to keep you around, because I like you, but know that I'm also looking out for myself because it's a game." And no one got hurt or felt betrayed. That's what this game should be like. Although it would probably be pretty boring to watch.

Sabrina and Chelsea join up on the beach and Chelsea says that she's just pissed that people like Christina will last longer than her in the game, even though she's useless. Sabrina assures Chelsea that she's not going home. Not sure why Sabrina is so confident. Sabrina interviews that Chelsea's safety counts on Kim being able to convince Alicia that Tarzan is a threat, but Sabrina points out again that Kim is kind of magic and very convincing.

Alicia and Tarzan go for a walk and Tarzan wants to know if Alicia still plans to take him to the final three (she does) and vote out Chelsea (she does) and if Kim is on board (she is). Tarzan interviews that he helped the women to take out the men and as long as they aren't sick of his grouchy ass, he thinks he could make it to the finals now. And his plan is best for Alicia if she thinks about it, but he knows that Alicia may not really trust him. As they get water, Alicia floats the idea of taking Kim to the finals. Tarzan says that Kim is too clever and could beat them in front of a jury. I can't believe that Alicia can't see that Kim would totally beat her. She really thinks that people like and respect her more than Kim? Girl, please.

As they prepare to go to Tribal, Tarzan is sporting a pink tank top and Kat's discarded bikini bottoms on his head. He asks if anyone finds it offensive. The women are just standing around, waiting for him, looking annoyed. Alicia interviews that she doesn't want to blindside Tarzan, but she also doesn't want to be blindsided BY him. They finally take off for Tribal Council and we in the audience don't yet know who they will be voting out. Alicia interviews that she wants to trust Kim, but she's also worried that she's being played.

They arrive at Tribal Council and the jury is seated. Kat has major bitchface, but I'm also starting to understand why she has led such a cushy life. She's a freaking knockout. I've never seen such a transformation from tribe member to jury member; she looks amazing. Usually they look bloated and overly made up, but she looks great. Anyway, Probst starts out by asking Sabrina if she's surprised to still be there and Sabrina's says she's not, because you have to envision making the finals or you'll never last. Tarzan says he's still there only by the grace of God and he's only still there because he helped the ladies get rid of the guys. He says that he'll happily go to the finals with whoever wants to take him and it would probably be a good tactic, because he doesn't think the jury will vote for him, because he's already a millionaire. I don't get Tarzan's strategy at all. He's so ham-fisted with his "Well, I'll tag along as a goat and I'm already rich, and I'll probably be voted out tonight." Is he fooling anyone with that?

Sabrina points out that Tarzan is still a dude and there are probably people on the jury who don't want a woman to win, so it would be a risk to take him to the finals. Then Tarzan babbles on about how the right person has been voted out each time and the people on the jury aren't introspective enough to see that it's true. Meanwhile, Troy is doing this gross thing with his tongue. Please stop that! Right now! He's like running his tongue around his mouth and it's disgusting. Kim says that the person voted out thought they were on the right side and safe and Tarzan has no response to that.

Probst asks Tarzan if he often feels misunderstood in this game and Tarzan says that he does. He gives the example of wearing clothing and everyone else being worried about microbes. Probst needs more details and Alicia tries to save Tarzan by saying that he's wearing Kat's tank top. But then Tarzan has to add that he also put her panties on his head and everyone freaked out. Kat appears to be wiping away a tear over this story or at least she's very upset. Who wouldn't be? That feels like a violation, hygiene issues be damned. Probst points out that this is the game: Tarzan's kind of an asshole, but that means you could probably beat him in front of the jury. Sabrina says that Tarzan might have been playing them the whole time, and just pretending to only be there for the adventure.

Probst asks Alicia about the reaction for Chelsea's picks for reward. Alicia says that Sabrina was a fair choice, but Kim kind of wasn't. Kat comments, "Bitches." So she won't be voting for a woman. Christina pipes up and says that she was disappointed not to be chosen because Chelsea had promised to take her and broke her word. Chelsea drops the bomb that Christina also broke her word by blabbing about their conversation and that's why Christina didn't get to go.

Probst asks Chelsea what will save her tonight. Chelsea says that she thinks people are getting wind of Tarzan's game and that he's not just there for the adventure and he might be playing all of them. Tarzan says he's not doing that, and that's all he has to say. Well. I'm convinced! Let's vote!

Everyone votes. No one plays an Idol. Probst reads the votes. The first one is for Chelsa and Kat whispers, "Goodbye Chelsea." Heh. Kat is still clueless. The rest of the votes are all for Tarzan. As he leaves, he thanks them for the adventure and allowing him to see his wife. Probst points out that they finally got rid of all the men, as Troy and Kat make bitchfaces on the jury. Can I just fast forward through their jury questions? Because you know they're going to be all, "My question is: why do you suck as people?" Anyway, over the credits Tarzan recites a stupid poem and we see that everyone voted for Tarzan. I think Kim's got this, although Sabrina has a chance too. We shall see!
