Double Trouble

When they return from Tribal Council, Ozzy, Jim, and Whitney each talk to Cochran and basically tell him he's a piece of shit. I'm not sure what the point of that is; it's not like he can go back and change his vote now. Ozzy is whiny but not vicious. Jim calls Cochran names and refuses to speak to him again. Whitney says that Cochran disgusts her. Upolu tries to welcome Cochran to their side but he doesn't want it to seem like he's flaunting. So things are uncomfortable in camp.

Immunity Challenge. Toss coconuts and land them in a ring. The first four to do so move on to the second level where they have to crack coconuts with a rock, suck out the water, maneuver through a course, and spit the water into a tube until the tube is full. Dawn, Jim, Whitney, and Sophie make it through to round two. Sophie takes an early lead, but Jim is right on her heels throughout. Just as Sophie seems likely to win, she nearly pukes and spits out her mouthful, enabling Jim to win immunity.

At Tribal Council, Jim floats the idea of giving his Immunity Necklace to Ozzy and gives a big speech to try to convince the Upolu tribe to vote out Cochran and send a message about people who are disloyal. Unfortunately, that's not the narrative Upolu is behind; they see Cochran as a beaten-down man who finally stood up for himself, and as Coach says, voting him out would be sending a message that you shouldn't stick up for yourself. Ozzy tells everyone that he's going to Redemption to get strong and rested and he will be back after sending everyone else home. Even if Jim's plan were working, Ozzy kind of ruined it with that threat. Jim keeps the necklace for himself. Ozzy gets voted out and pretends that's what he wanted all along, because he's a douchebag. God, I hope he doesn't get to come back. That would be the greatest.

And since it's Double Elimination night, there is a second Immunity Challenge. They get the choice to sit out the challenge and eat instead, and the feast is pastries and iced coffee. Dawn, Jim, and Whitney are the only three to participate in the challenge, which involves standing on a beam and balancing a ball on a curved trough. Jim loses it pretty quickly. Dawn says that she'll stay up there as long as she can because Upolu only gets to eat as long as the challenge continues, but she obviously feels pretty safe from the vote, most likely because Jim is the obvious eliminee. Dawn eventually goes out in the second round and Whitney wins immunity.

Jim makes a pitch to Sophie and Albert to keep him around and join forces with the former Savaii and make a move while they still can. Albert is nervous about how much Dawn is ingratiating herself into their alliance and makes a pitch to his tribe to take her out . At Tribal Council, Dawn and Brandon have a weird argument where Brandon flat-out tells Savaii that they're going to get picked off one-by-one. Whitney starts crying because she feels she's being painted as a villain and she doesn't feel that she is one. Brandon sees it as black and white, as usual. And Jim gets sent to Redemption Island to the surprise of no one.

Te Tuna (worst tribe name ever, and there have been some doozies). Night 21. The merged tribe (minus the just-voted-out Keith) trudges back from Tribal Council after Cochran's big move. Ozzy wants to talk to Cochran alone, so they walk off to the side and Ozzy seems to actually give Cochran a chance to explain. Cochran says that it wasn't about hurting Ozzy or anyone else; he just didn't want to leave his fate in the game up to picking a stone out of a bag. Ozzy says very condescendingly that Cochran screwed him over but suddenly! There's a tiny lemur in camp! Oh, wait. That's just Brandon. I never realized how tiny Brandon is. He's seriously got to be like 5'3" or shorter. Cochran and Ozzy both tower over him. Anyway, Brandon is there to make sure Ozzy isn't "being aggressive" towards Cochran. Ozzy promises that they're "not like gangsters out here." What does that even mean? Does he mean gangsters like old-timey Mafia guys? Or gangsters like modern gang members? Or something else entirely?

So Brandon leaves and Ozzy says that he put himself on the line many times for Cochran and then got stabbed in the back, which isn't true. Ozzy mostly tried to convince everyone else to vote Cochran out for the first few weeks. Cochran says his move was purely self-preservation. Cut to a quick interview where Ozzy says that self-preservation is for "wieners." Yes, how dare Cochran try to save himself in this game show where the strongest team wins! Everyone knows that only a team of five or more people can win the title of Sole Survivor. Except for the part about "sole" Survivor. Anyway, Ozzy realizes it's going nowhere and walks away, which gives Jim a chance to sidle up and call Cochran a fucking coward a few more times. Jim needs anger management. And a better poker face. And maybe to smoke some of that medicinal marijuana he's selling.

But wait! Whitney hasn't had her turn to yell at Cochran! She pulls Cochran aside and confirms that he's the one that flipped. She reminds him that she and Keith saved him three times. They did? There is a whole lot of creative math going on here with this "saving" business. Cochran tries his "self-interest" line again but Whitney says Cochran has "a lot to learn" and he disgusts her. Does she even hear herself? I get why they are angry with him, or disgusted that he screwed them over. Because I would be mad, and I would be upset. But what good does it do to pull him aside and tell him off? Start cozying up to him! He's clearly on the winning side now. It can only help, and it can't hurt. Dawn is the only one who seems to realize this. But yelling at him is only helping Upolu feel like they did the right thing by taking him under their collective wing. Idiots.

The Upolu members call Cochran over to hang out with them. Cochran interviews that it felt good to stand up to his former tribemates, but now he's trying to balance his time between the kind, loving Upolu and the horrible, awful Savaii members. I wonder if he realizes that both types of treatment he's getting have everything to do with how he just voted and nothing to do with his personality? As Cochran snuggles with Coach, Whitney and Jim lament that they're screwed, and Jim notes that they gave him exactly what he wanted. Yes, Jim, perhaps it wasn't the best strategic decision to tell Cochran to go cozy up to Upolu when he was definitely the member of your tribe with the least tribal loyalty. None of them seem too shocked that he flipped, just disappointed and angry.

The morning, Coach watches the sunrise alone. He interviews that he's really happy about what his tribe pulled off at Tribal. Then we get like ten minutes of him doing tai chi while he voices over that he needs to be confident but not arrogant and humble but not weak. Ugh. Coach is awful.

Cochran hangs out with Upolu and Coach asks him who they should send home . Like they wouldn't overrule Cochran in a second if he said something dumb. Cochran knows that Ozzy is the obvious choice due to his strength in challenges, but Cochran really doesn't like Jim. See, Jim? This is why you suck it up and stop swearing at Cochran. Because if you weren't such a dick, your name wouldn't be tops on his list to send home. Meanwhile, Ozzy is crying like a little baby in an interview about how he got "stabbed in the gut" (I thought it was the back? Did Cochran have multiple knives?) and how he has no strategy anymore except to win Immunity Challenges. Was that not part of his strategy up until now? I would think that would always be part of your strategy.

Wait, why are they heading to the Immunity Challenge only nine minutes into the episode? Remember when they used to have Reward Challenges? I miss those. Anyway, today's challenge has two phases. In the first phase, they will try to toss a coconut into a ring. The first four people to do so move on to the second phase, where they will crack coconuts, suck up the water, then transport the water in their mouths to a tube and spit the water into the tube. First to fill the tube wins Immunity.

Tossing the coconut into the ring seems like luck. Dawn gets one in on the first round but no one else succeeds. Whitney gets one in on the second round, as do Jim and Sophie. So how's that winning strategy working out for you, Ozzy?

Dawn, Whitney, Jim, and Sophie line up for the second phase. Sophie gets her coconut cracked first and heads out, followed closely by Dawn and Jim. Whitney brings up the rear. Sophie is showing some amazing skill in climbing the obstacles. She could be a contender. Sophie and Jim stay neck and neck while Dawn and Whitney are fairly useless. Jim thinks he has filled his tube, but Probst says no. Sophie has her last mouthful of water as Probst berates her to pick up the pace. Shut up, Probst. I'd like to see you climbing a ladder with a mouth full of coconut water. Anyway, Sophie gags on her water and tries to keep from spitting it out (and possibly puking) but fails and spews the water everywhere. This gives Jim enough time to spit out his final mouthful, and he wins Immunity. I'm still impressed with Sophie's performance, especially since she didn't really need Immunity for her or her tribe. Note that Coach congratulates Jim as they head out; he's really gunning for those jury votes, isn't he?

After the challenge, Upolu discusses who to vote out. Brandon thinks the obvious answer is Ozzy, since they need to take action while they have the chance. He asks, "How many chances do you get to vote him out of this game?" Cochran cracks, "Apparently two." And Brandon looks SO CONFUSED! Ha ha ha! Meanwhile, Ozzy and Coach have a meeting of Those Who Have Returned and Ozzy looks exhausted and defeated. He tells Coach, "I don't wanna go" and that all he has to offer is who he is. What does that even mean? Is he saying that he knows he has no strategic significance anymore, and that he's your biggest threat in challenges, but he's pretty awesome as a person so you should keep him around? Because I don't think anyone is going to buy that.

Coach interviews that Ozzy is very different since his alliance was shattered, and he's enjoying the newly humbled Ozzy, even if his humility is insincere. Then Coach delivers this gem, "Some of the greatest inspiration is borne of desperation, Marcus Aurelius once said." Okay, Marcus Aurelius never said that. If I'm wrong, someone please let me know, but that language sounds way more modern than Marcus Aurelius and a quick Google search bears that out. I think Coach said that and maybe Coach watched Gladiator right before he came on the show and he got confused? Anyway, Ozzy seems pretty resigned to leaving and Coach assures him that he'll be back again, because he'll win the Redemption Island duel. Man, Coach is shoring up his jury votes like MAD. He's no dummy. Except when it comes to fake inspirational quotes.

Dawn and Whitney are hanging out in "the bungalow" which must either be a new structure of a structure they just fashioned somehow. It looks similar to the one on Redemption Island, so maybe it's one that was provided for them. Dawn invites Coach over and says that they have a pillow and a blanket for him, and they think he should sleep there tonight. Coach tries it out, and so does Rick. Dawn interviews that she knows either she, Whitney, or Ozzy will be voted out tonight, so she has to decide whether to stick with her original tribe or vote with Upolu. I think it might be a little too late for that, Dawn. Your vote would have meant a lot more at the Tribal Council. They don't need your vote anymore. And the sucking up is really, really transparent. It might buy you a few more days, but I don't think they are going to keep you over anyone from their original tribe.

Jim and Whitney hang out in the shallow water and talk about how awesome they are and how terrible Cochran is. Jim says that he himself is "easily the most hated person in the game right now" because he speaks his mind. Oh, he's one of those "you can't handle the truth" and "I'm just being real" people. Those guys like to say really awful things and then claim they're just keeping it real, for real. When really, they're just assholes. Whitney is really proud that she told Cochran he's disgusting. It's nice that these two are having their own celebration when they should be using this time to try to shore up their position in the game. I can't wait until they all get eliminated. They are terrible at this.

You know who else is proving to be terrible at this? Ozzy. So he joins them. Jim has a GREAT idea. He wants to give his necklace to Ozzy at Tribal, and then make a big persuasive speech that Upolu should get rid of the one person there who has proven to be disloyal: Cochran. Jim thinks that it will work because Upolu will still have a numbers advantage, so it's no skin off their back, and they won't have time to get together as a group and discuss it, so he might win by the element of surprise. What Jim isn't considering is that the Upolu members don't see Cochran as disloyal. He has been loyal. To THEM. Just not to Savaii. Also, they hate Jim, and they're scared of Ozzy. Jim's an idiot. His best bet is to figure out where the cracks are in Upolu and exploit them to his advantage. We know Albert is dissatisfied. And who knows what in the hell Edna's got going on. Work on them instead of swimming out in the ocean with your girlfriends Whitney and Ozzy, dude.

Jim admits in an interview that this is a last-ditch effort, but he only needs two of those seven people on Upolu to vote for Cochran and it's game on. Ozzy interviews that if Jim really gives him the necklace, it will be totally surreal. And he vows to never give up, and then we get a shot of Ozzy looking at a rainbow. And then a magical unicorn (or maybe Mark Burnett) flies over and drops an Immunity Idol on the beach at Ozzy's feet. Not really, for that last part, but you know he wanted to.

Tribal Council. Probst opens by asking Cochran how the others on Savaii received his vote. Cochran says the reception was understandably chilly, and Jim was probably the loudest, and wouldn't give Cochran a chance to explain. What's to explain? "I want to last longer in this game, because whoever lasts the longest wins." End of story. Jim admits that he said some immature things but he took the vote personally. Cochran goes on to dig his grave further, and says that he wanted to take control and take the opportunity to play with some awesome people instead of a group of jerks. He's a little bit nicer about it, but not much. And then he backtracks and says that he knows that sounded mean towards his old tribe and Ozzy and Whitney are like, "Yeah, dude. It did." So Cochran falls back on his "control of my own fate" and "captain of my own ship" and "driver of my own car" and "other thing in control of this other thing" defense.

Jim's ready to launch his last-ditch effort. He points out that he saved Cochran from being voted out at the first and second vote, he worked with Keith and Whitney to save Cochran in the third vote, and Ozzy kept Cochran from going to Redemption Island. Okay, I need to break down this game film here, because that's not entirely what I remember. In the first vote, I don't know that Jim "saved" Cochran so much as he pointed out that Semhar was useless, and there wasn't a whole lot of evidence that anyone besides Ozzy wanted to get rid of Cochran anyway. In the second vote, no one ever talked about voting for anyone except Papa Bear, although they brought Cochran's name up as a decoy. In the third vote, Jim, Keith and Whitney teamed up to vote out Elyse because they thought she was too close to Ozzy, not in order to save Cochran. I guess in the fourth vote, Ozzy "saved" Cochran by volunteering to go to Redemption Island. If Ozzy hadn't volunteered, Cochran absolutely would have been voted out. But that's a nice piece of rewritten history to support your point, Jim.

Jim goes on to flatter Upolu by saying that he's gotten to know them and he knows that not one of them would do something so dishonorable against their tribe. Brandon says that it's interesting that Jim feels that way now, since Upolu was made fun of at the last Tribal for playing with integrity (they were?) and Brandon proclaims that the "smaller people" (that's definitely Brandon, who is wee!) won't be bullied anymore. Brandon affirms that Upolu stands with Cochran, period. Ozzy interrupts and asks what he ever did to make Cochran feel small, since he doesn't think he did. Cochran says that Ozzy made him feel small by trying to vote him out in the first few weeks because he thought Cochran was weak. Ozzy is just like, "..." because Cochran's got him there. Ozzy did do that.

Probst points out that Jim has immunity, so he's powerful. Jim says he thought about giving his necklace to Ozzy and Probst is like, "Why would you do that?" Since his speech didn't work on Brandon, Jim tilts this one Coach's way by talking about how Jim is a warrior and has a warrior spirit and there are eleven people there who play like warriors and warrior warrior warrior, plus let's vote out Cochran, who is not a warrior AT ALL and he told me he hates warriors and warriors come out and play. Jim gets all fired up and urges them to send a message to anyone who will ever play the game that you can play with honor and that turncoats can't win and snitches get stitches. Probst asks Coach if voting Cochran out would change the game and Coach says that it would send the message that sticking up for yourself is bad. Oh, Jim. Your speeches are not landing, dude. Give up. Jim tries again and says that losing Cochran wouldn't change the numbers advantage that Upolu enjoys, but it would send a message about loyalty.

So then Ozzy tries some strategy that I don't really understand. He says that if he goes to Redemption Island, he will get to eat all the fish he catches himself, and he won't be stressed out by strategizing, and he'll rest up and get stronger. And also, at some point, Upolu is going to be the only ones left and they'll have to cannibalize themselves and "it's going to get a little funky." Ozzy, make a point. You're just stating facts. Is he trying to say that he'll return when they are at their weakest? Is he saying that killing him will only make him stronger? Is he saying that they have nothing to fear but fear itself? I think he actually has a strong point in there, which is that the members of Upolu need to start thinking for themselves and thinking of their endgame. The problem is that each of them would rather take Cochran to the finals than Ozzy. Cochran has zero case to make for winning the million dollars. He was not good at challenges. He wasn't good around camp. He didn't provide. He didn't boost morale. He turned on his own tribe to save his own ass. Unless he has some miraculous second half of the game, he's got nothing. So he's the perfect person to take to the finals, because you can say, "Maybe I didn't do much, but I definitely did more than Cochran!" You wouldn't have that advantage with Ozzy. In conclusion, shut up, Ozzy. So Ozzy says that his message is that he will be back, and he will see them all as they come through Redemption before he defeats them and sends them home. I guess Ozzy read the room and realized that Jim's strategy wasn't working. And Jim decides to keep his necklace, as we all knew he would, because what a dummy.

Everyone votes and Probst tallies. No one plays a Hidden Immunity Idol. Jim and Ozzy voted for Cochran (and Ozzy apparently wrote Cock Run because he's a child or a really bad speller) and everyone else voted for Ozzy. Everyone! Even Dawn and Whitney. As he stands to leave, Ozzy says, "You guys fell for my master plan." Look, Ozzy. That shit worked once. Don't pretend like you wanted to leave. So Probst sends Ozzy to Redemption Island and Ozzy skips away. He seriously is showing more energy right now than he has in the past three days. Probst tells them that Whitney, Dawn, and Jim better hope that the game stays unpredictable.

Before heading to Redemption Island, Ozzy gives a speech about how he's played hard and taken big risks and they haven't all worked out in his favor, but that's how the game is played. Isn't that what you criticized Cochran for? Taking big risks? Anyway, Ozzy meets up with Keith at Redemption Island and confirms for him that Cochran was the one who flipped.

Hey, we haven't seen enough of Ozzy lately, have we? Let's visit him at Redemption Island the day and watch as he learns how to catch enormous fish near a coral reef. At least we get to see some nice shots of a turtle. I like turtles. So Ozzy and Keith are having a bro-fest with fish to eat. Bully for them.

Meanwhile, the people actually still playing the game are headed to their Immunity Challenge. Two eliminations tonight! The challenge is to stand on a wooden beam while balancing a ball on a bow. So that seems difficult. Because bows are curved and all. But there's a twist! Anyone who doesn't feel like he or she needs immunity can sit the challenge out and eat iced coffee and pastries. Everyone on Upolu looks fired up, since they know they don't need immunity. Everyone except Coach, who says he's sad because he wanted to compete today. Probst points out that Coach can still compete. Jim can barely contain his excitement when he says that the seven Upolu members don't need to compete, since that greatly increases Jim's odds of winning. He only has to beat out Dawn and Whitney instead of the rest of the tribe. Coach says that they are unified and they stick together, so I guess he's saying that he can't compete unless everyone on Upolu does? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Go eat a muffin, Coach.

Coach does go eat a muffin. Probst tells them that they only get to eat as long as the challenge continues, so they had better stuff their faces. The challenge begins as Probst gives a dramatic voiceover about people fighting for survival. Probst jokes that Coach is probably regretting not competing and Coach can only giggle. Jim quickly loses his ball and is out of the challenge, which Probst states for the record and Jim snaps, "I know." So now Jim has to sit there and watch everyone eat and watch Dawn and Whitney fight it out. That sucks. And yet, he's a jerk so I don't care. Brandon says something offhand about hoping Dawn lasts a long time, and Dawn says, "I'll stay so you can eat." Probst asks her to clarify her statement and instead of focusing on the task at hand, Dawn says that she feels like it's one big, happy tribe right now. Coach and Brandon both say that Dawn is awesome. Gloating isn't cool, guys. We all know you're going to get rid of Jim; you could at least have the decency not to throw it in his face. I mean it's not like Jim would... oh, who am I kidding? Jim would totally gloat.

Dawn and Whitney finish the first phase and move to a smaller part of the beam for the second phase. Probst notes that the eating has slowed down, and Brandon puts his head on Cochran's shoulder while Cochran pets his head. That's not weird. It's like Brandon is a tiny, little dog, and Cochran is petting him. Dawn wobbles and then recovers and Brandon cheers for her loudly. Whitney comments that they know whom Brandon likes more. Oh, Whitney. Everyone likes everyone more than you, because you are awful. Shortly after that, Dawn wobbles and loses her ball, so Whitney wins. It should be noted that Brandon cheers loudly for her when she wins, probably because he feels bad about it and he's dumb. As they leave, we see an Albert interview where he says that he doesn't like how inclusive they were about Dawn during the challenge, and he wants to nip it in the bud. I like Albert. He might get voted out because he's always scheming and possibly overthinking things, but at least he's thinking and not just following Coach blindly.

Te Tuna. Day 24. Cochran struts into camp wearing Coach's jacket and soon enough, Rick's hat. The members of Upolu are delighted with him and someone says that he's now a fully-incorporated member of Upolu. Jim interviews that Cochran is playing a great third-place game because everyone on Upolu would love to take Cochran to the finals because he'll be so easy to beat. Jim's not wrong. He also seems to have finally realized that he needs to make a move other than "yell at Cochran" or "pout." We shall see.

Jim calls Albert and Sophie over to show them a little diagram he's drawn in the sand to illustrate how things are going to play out. Jim has Coach with Cochran, Edna, and Brandon underneath him, and then Rick nearby, since he gave his word to Coach and probably won't retract it. Jim thinks that Albert and Sophie are the only people who aren't "in the cult" (of Coach, presumably) and then he has a three-person group with himself, Dawn, and Whitney. So Jim's big plan is that Albert, Sophie, and the former Savaii should vote for Edna. Presumably Coach, Cochran, Edna, Brandon, and Rick would vote for Jim. I'm not sure why Jim thinks Albert and Sophie would rather go to rocks than have a sure thing, but at least he tried. He should have tried last time, or the time before that, though. Albert interviews that Jim had an interesting plan, but he has a better one, so he's not really interested in what Jim has to say.

Albert's plan involves getting rid of Dawn before Jim, because he thinks Dawn is more dangerous than Jim. She's nicer, and she's insinuating herself into the tribe. Albert doesn't mention that Dawn is kind of a challenge monster. No one seems to be bringing that up, but I think that's true, and something to worry about now that they are doing individual immunity. The problem is that Dawn seems to be hanging mostly with Edna, who is like the least powerful person in that tribe right now, so she might want to redirect her sucking up.

Albert pulls Sophie aside and suggests that they vote out Dawn before Jim. He thinks that he can beat Jim in close challenges, so they don't have to worry about him going on an immunity run, and he's worried that Dawn seems like the kind of person that people will approach to make side deals, just because she's nice. He says that no one will gravitate towards Jim, which is true. But Jim might gravitate towards others, and he might make them an offer they can't refuse. I don't know why no one is picking Edna's brain. She has to be desperate to get some sort of deal, right? Anyway, Sophie tells Albert to calm down and stick with the plan. Coach and Brandon come up and Albert lays out his suggestion about getting rid of Dawn first. Brandon and Coach are non-committal. Coach interviews that Jim is like a rhinoceros and Dawn is like a snake. You can see Jim coming but Dawn sneaks up on you.

Tribal Council. Probst asks Coach if they can assume that it's either Dawn or Jim going home tonight, since Whitney has immunity. Coach agrees. Probst asks if it's Jim going home, since he's more of a challenge threat. Sophie says that they both have their niches, but she would pick Jim if they were choosing sides for a challenge right now. Okay, I have to look this up. Hold on. I guess Jim was pretty integral to winning the slingshot challenge, and maybe the one where Cochran screwed up the ropes. He barely beat Sophie in the last immunity challenge. I don't get where he's so scary in challenges, or at least scarier than Dawn. But he's a MAN. I think there's a little sexism at play here. Albert points out that Dawn is possibly the strongest female player this season. Edna's like, "Hey, wait! I... oh, that's right. I'm useless." But nice qualifer, Albert. I don't remember you winning the weight challenge. Dawn did.

Probst asks Dawn if it's fair to say that Upolu should vote Savaii out one-by-one. Dawn agrees that her tribe would do the same if the tables were turned, but then she weirdly has to add that she doesn't think Upolu should have eaten the food today, because that was hard for her to watch. But isn't she the one who tried to help them have more time to eat? This seems like a weird time to bring this up. Brandon raises his hand (which cracks me up, what is this, math class?) and points out that Dawn told them to eat longer, and Dawn says she did want them to, but it was still hard for her to watch. I believe that, but I'm not sure why she felt the need to tell them at Tribal Council. Brandon, who can't hold two opposing ideas in his head at the same time, thinks that Dawn contradicted herself. He thinks that, if the tables were turned, Savaii would have been a lot more ruthless about eliminating Upolu. I can buy that. I mean, they're mostly a bunch of assholes, so it makes sense that they would be assholes in voting people off. Dawn keeps trying to clarify her point until Brandon says he forgives her (for having an opinion?) and then vows that Upolu won't stop until Savaii is completely eliminated. Which is pretty much where we were before this whole Brandon/Dawn thing so I'm not sure what the point of all that was, except to show that Brandon is crazy. Which we also already knew.

Probst lets Whitney have her say, and she feels like she's been "vilified" (and I think she believes that means "make into a villain", which isn't quite right), and she understands how Dawn felt, because she's hungry and would have liked to eat too, but she couldn't, because she had to fight for immunity. Whitney gets all choked up and says that she doesn't think Upolu accepts them as real people, and she's been painted as a bully and she doesn't think she acted as a bully. Brandon says that he doesn't like to see Whitney cry, but he thinks his tribe was "excluded until [they] got power." Excluded from what? In the few days from the merge to the first vote? How were they excluded? Wait, why am I trying to make sense of Brandon? He crazy.

Time to vote. Whitney keeps immunity, obviously. And Probst tallies the votes. The three Savaii vote for Edna, and everyone else votes for Jim, so he's going to Redemption Island. Coach snarkily waves "Bye bye!" What an asshole. God, I hope that people team up and take him out before the finals. My favorite part of the tag is when Jim arrives at Redemption Island and tells Ozzy and Keith, "I thought we were supposed to be the final three." That's what arrogance will get you.
