With twelve players left in the game, the tribes merge to form the new Marty-named Libertad tribe. They celebrate with the traditional merge feast, which has enough food left over to enjoy later. Except that as soon as they try to do that, Naonka decides that since she was stuck with the smallest tortilla, she is within her rights to steal all the tortilla-making supplies and some fruit for good measure. Holly sees her do this, and when people wonder where all their stuff went, Holly calls Naonka out. She denies it all, but is later convinced to confess, since everyone knows she did it anyway. Despite her transgressions, she's still not a target to be voted out . That honor goes to Alina and Marty. Both have a chance to win immunity, which goes to both a woman and a man this time, but lose to Jud and Jane, who is apparently made of iron. They have no choice but to scramble and scheme back at camp, but ultimately it seems to be Sash who saves Marty by asking his allies to vote for Alina instead so he won't break his promise to Marty. Like idiots, they all go along with it because they apparently want Sash to win a million dollars. Except for Jane, who hates Marty so much that she votes for him no matter what.

Want more? The full recap starts right below! On this week's previously on segment, Probst says that the entire game has centered around NaOnka, Marty, and Sash. I'm sorry, but according to the editing, Brenda was the one making things happen and not Sash, who only showed up like last week and now apparently gets credit for everything Brenda set up for him. And then it's Day 19 at La Flor. Vultures pick at a carcass of some kind of alligator pig thing on the beach as Marty misses Jill, whines about the bad position he's in, and hates Jane. Marty's situation immediately improves when Jud arrives with the latest treemail, which contains a small key and a note telling the tribe to pack up their belongings and head over to Camp Espada for the merge. Marty is thrilled, saying that he's anticipating the original La Flor kid alliance to implode in on itself and start voting each other out. But first, the La Flor six huddle together and swear allegiance to each other even though they all know that means absolutely nothing and they have no intention of honoring that promise.
Espada find a large locked chest at their treemail box. There's a note on top telling them that "company" will be "arriving soon" with the key. They immediately realize that this means there's a merge happening. "Here?" NaOnka asks, so clearly disappointed to still be stuck at horrible Espada Beach. As they walk back to camp to await the new arrivals, Alina says they should plan what to do and how to keep their core six strong against their new tribe members. Ben interviews that he's ready to start playing an individual game at this point, and has no intention of playing it with Alina, who he says you can "see right through" and should have gone home a long time ago. "She's definitely outlasted her expected time in this game and I think everyone agrees it's time for her to go home," he says over a shot of the remaining Espada members walking on the beach with Dan lagging behind them, his expected time in this game so obviously having been outlasted. And yet, he's still there and no one's bringing his name up. And for this, he is slowly but surely becoming one of my favorite players this season. Which isn't saying much, since pretty much everyone cast this season is either insane or horrible or both, but still. Alina leads an Espada team meeting where she stresses the importance of the six of them staying strong and not switching sides. The other five just sit there and listen but are obviously not interested in anything she has to say. Alina continues that they should focus on taking Marty out first because he has the idol and they think he's the "head honcho" at La Flor despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. NaOnka sits in one of her now-trademark awkward interview positions with symbolic pointy background flora (this time she's stuck in between the branches of a tree with spikes on it) and tells us that no one is down with Alina's plan, not even "Uncle Dan." NaOnka says Alina is a "one woman army," then repeats this like seven times.
La Flor arrive and Espada is shocked to see that Jill is not among them. Alina interviews that they all thought Marty and Jill were "running things" at La Flor, even though, again, that doesn't make any sense. Why on Earth would Brenda allow that to happen? Why would Alina underestimate her like that? Does she think the old Espada folks must be in power because Kelly B. was voted out? Has she forgotten that everyone on La Flor wanted her and Kelly B. out? Apparently so. Marty gives his former tribemates a big relieved hug, especially Dan, while Chase reunites with Brenda. And then everyone gets over that in order to open and enjoy the contents of the chest. Yes, it's full of food and treats and new red buffs for the merged tribe. Marty immediately proposes that a new tribe name of "Libertad," which is Spanish for "freedom" and not the worst new tribe name we've ever seen on this show, so I think it's okay. The rest of the tribe eagerly agrees to Marty's new name idea because no one cares about tribe names when there is food to be eaten. Marty is quite pleased with himself for naming the new tribe because, like most things, he attaches way too much importance to it.
Everyone else is pleased to see cookies and rum, which Ben takes a gulp of and then makes a really stupid frat boy "I just drank alcohol, I'm so cool!" face. As for NaOnka, she interviews (this time sitting in a field of cacti), that the food was delicious. "Like my booty ... " she begins, then stops speaking, scrunches up her face, lifts one side of her ass up a little bit, and farts. No, really. Or at least, that's what the editors wanted us to think. It sounded kind of fake to me. I think she really did fart there but the original fart was too quiet to hear on TV, so they cranked up the sound on it just to make absolutely sure that everyone at home would hear it and there would be no mistake that NaOnka is gross and ridiculous. And this just shows you how much everyone involved with this show hates her, because plenty of footage exists of pretty much every contestant on this show peeing, shitting, farting, whatever. That's what happens when you're being filmed all the time and there are no bathrooms around and your digestive system is all messed up anyway. Yes, even in interviews! I'm sure plenty of contestants have farted in the middle of an interview (especially one following a giant feast like that) in the past. But they don't air that stuff on TV, because it's gross and embarrassing and unnecessary. But this time, they not only chose to show it, but they also made it louder than it actually was! They must hate NaOnka so much, although I can't tell if they hate her more or less than the other Kelly, whose existence they refuse to acknowledge. Anyway, NaOnka is unfazed by her ass outburst and continues that she was sneaking peanuts in her bra. She proves this by taking one out of her pocket and eating it.
The food puts NaOnka in such a good mood that she jumps up to embrace Jud, who hugs her back while saying that she's only being nice to him because they're all in good moods because of the food (and also possibly the rum). Brenda, meanwhile, says she's very happy to see NaOnka again because "she's real." She sure is. Farts and all. Brenda says she knows that NaOnka is still her loyal ally and nothing has changed, as NaOnka walks up to Brenda and takes her away for a walk and talk. Make sure you don't stand downwind, Brenda. NaOnka gives Brenda the scoop on Alina: she has no alliance and will be watching Brenda at all times. Which means that she watched Brenda and NaOnka walk away together, right? Brenda, on the other hand, tells NaOnka about the wonders of Jane and how Brenda stood up for her against the evil mean Marty. NaOnka is surprised, saying that everyone on Espada and her included assumed that Brenda and Marty teamed up. Brenda says that on the contrary, not only were she and Marty against each other, but her alliance also was able to convince Marty to give his idol to Sash, who is still in possession of it. Even NaOnka knows that Marty is really stupid for giving his idol to Sash.
Day 20 arrives and fiddle music plays, which can only mean one thing: Southern people are about to bond. Yes, Chase and Jane are over at the watering hole talking about how they're both from North Carolina. Jane adds that she ran and did the P90X workout to get in shape for this show because apparently she likes to watch late-night infomercials as much as I do. FUN FACT: one time I was walking down the street and I saw a parked SUV and the license plate said "P90X." I'll bet it was Tony Horton, shopping at Target and/or Best Buy! At least, I hope it was. It would be kind of lame to have a P90X license plate if you weren't the guy in the P90X videos. Jane says Chase is welcome to come to her house anytime, even if she isn't home, as her door is always open since she has dogs, geese, and turkeys guarding her home from intruders. She also has a shotgun. This show does nothing to make me less afraid of people from the South. Chase says he clicked with Jane immediately, as she reminded him of his mother and they connected over the fact that they're from North Carolina. I'll never understand that. I'm from Connecticut, and when I meet someone else from Connecticut, there is no instant connection. Mostly, he just asks where I'm from and I tell him the name of my hometown and he says he's never heard of it. Anyway, Jane quickly and quite shrewdly gets right to work on Chase, telling him that Marty and his gang ostracized her because of her "Southern accent." They also bond over the fact that he just lost his dad and she just lost her husband. Hey -- maybe Jane's husband and Chase's dad are the same guy? I mean, they're both recently dead and from North Carolina. And stereotypes tell me that everyone from the South is related and this show seems to love casting stereotypes.
Speaking of stereotypes, NaOnka decides to do something nice for once in her life and make breakfast for her tribe using the merge-feast-provided flour and water. But, of course, there are strings attached, mainly that Jud isn't allowed to take a "big-ass bite" of his. He takes a fairly small bite and asks her if that's a good size. "I guess. I don't know," she says, because she's basically decided that Jud is going to take a huge bite out of the tortilla no matter what he actually does, and his attempt to get her approval on the size of his bite only ruins her plans. Sitting in front of some more plant life with spikes on it (seriously, is Nicaragua just all spiky plants or did they import these to use as background in NaOnka interviews?), NaOnka complains about how the tortillas were her idea and she made them, only to be stuck with the smallest one. This does not sit well with her, so she grabs the jar of flour, sneaks it into her bag, and walks away. Unfortunately for her, Holly saw the whole thing. She says nothing to NaOnka or anyone else about it, but interviews that she is puzzled. "Why did she just take the flour?" she wonders. I don't know, Holly -- why did you take Dan's shoes?
NaOnka digs a massive hole in the ground and buries the flour jar in it, muttering to herself that this is what her tribe gets for not appreciating the "heart and soul" she put into making those tortillas, which I don't believe for a minute since NaOnka has no heart and no soul. What she's really mad about is the fact that Jud ate the big tortilla that NaOnka made just for herself. So it's okay for NaOnka to have a nice, big tortilla, but if Jud eats a big tortilla, the entire tribe must be punished? I see how it is. She says she's going to "play dirty," and why not? If her tribe didn't kick her out for damaging their fruit reward while attacking a woman with one leg in order to get the immunity idol for herself then they're not going to do anything about this.
Since she thinks she got away with stealing the flour, NaOnka decides to press her luck and steal more things from the chest: tortilla-making equipment and fruit. "It tastes better when you're stealing it!" she says; "like a sweet victory." Huh. One time my friends and I shoplifted a pack of Starburst from the grocery store and I found that it actually tasted worse. I guess that's the effect having morals has on your tastebuds. As she chews with her mouth open (by the way, where the hell is everyone else? Why is she hanging out by the shelter with absolutely no one around, not even Dan, who lives in the shelter?) she says that with everyone hating Alina and wanting her gone, she can be the person to tell her what's up. And so, she and Alina sit on the beach. Alina asks her who she's loyal to, and NaOnka lies that she's in with Alina's Espada Six plan, even though Alina saw her go off with Brenda all day. While the other Kelly snoozes on the beach nearby and does absolutely nothing useful, NaOnka tells Alina that people are "gunning" for her, and while NaOnka of course would never vote Alina out, it sounds like the majority will.
Alina interviews that her entire tribe lied to her and she feels like an idiot. So now she's pissed off enough at everyone to happily partake of NaOnka's stolen goods, as encouraged by NaOnka, who tells her an entire orange will calm her nerves. Alina says that her only hope right now can't be winning immunity, but NaOnka doesn't think she has a chance to get enough people to ally with her. Alina doesn't understand why she's such a target. Nor do I. People were, like, venomous when they talked about how they wanted Alina out, but we never saw her do anything personally horrible to anyone. So, why is NaOnka, of all people, being nice to Alina? She explains that this will ensure that she receives a vote from Alina when she makes it to the end and Alina is on the jury. "So I have to be smart," she says. Um, I'm sorry, the kind of "smart" that gets jury votes starts on Day One in this game. You can't just start being sort-of nice to people more than halfway through now that you know you might need them, especially when you've been such a nasty beast to them before. Oh, and you also don't steal people's food. But nice try with the politicking, NaOnka. She concludes she both has and does not have Alina's back right now.
Meanwhile, the rest of the tribe returns to camp to find several items missing. While they wonder what happened, NaOnka stays very quiet. Jud finally says what everyone is thinking: those things were taken intentionally. "I think it's pretty obvious somebody took them," Alina says angrily. I wondering if they edited this out of order and this all happened before Alina found out about NaOnka's secret stash, because otherwise she's doing a great acting job here. When the flour is the thing to turn up missing, Holly has no choice but to spring into action, asking NaOnka if she put the flour back in the chest after she put it in her bag. NaOnka cuts her off immediately, saying everyone saw her put the flour back. Holly says she saw NaOnka put the flour in her bag. She did not see NaOnka put it back, as NaOnka insists that she did. But now everyone wants to know why NaOnka put the flour in her bag in the first place. "Because I was gonna put half in there," she says, explaining nothing. NaOnka looks everyone in the eye individually and tells him she didn't take anything. Jud presses, but NaOnka says she's done talking about this. Jud insists on finding out why the flour went in NaOnka's bag in the first place. "I put it back," NaOnka says. Jud explodes, screaming that no one's talking about whether or not she put it back -- just why she put it in her bag at all. He's so angry that his mouth blurs and NaOnka takes off because she knows that she has no excuse for why she put the flour in her bag and she is so busted right now.
Alina interviews that while all that was going on, she had to stand there and pretend she had no idea what was happening, as she is now complicit in NaOnka's crimes and people will be just as angry at her as they are at NaOnka if they find out the truth, which would make NaOnka kind of brilliant if that was her intention and if she hadn't done the incredibly stupid thing of stealing food from starving people and thinking they wouldn't notice in the first place. Alina and NaOnka meet in the woods and Alina tells her she has to confess. Chase suddenly shows up and says that everyone knows NaOnka did it anyway, so she might as well tell the truth. "It's the right thing to do," Alina says, mistakenly believing that NaOnka gives a shit about doing the right thing. I mean, it's clear that the idea of telling the truth and taking responsibility never even occurred to NaOnka and she's confused as to why other people think it's an option. She says she just told everyone individually, face to face, that she didn't take the stuff, so to admit that she did would make her look even worse. Chase says this is Survivor and everyone lies, so people will understand.
And so, NaOnka has to stand in front of the tribe and admit what she did. Sort of. She says she was just "trying to play the game" and didn't mean to "starve anyone." "Alina and I, we took a walk-- " NaOnka starts, and Detective Holly immediately picks up on the fact that Alina was also involved in this. NaOnka then claims that she only took the flour to measure half of it out so they could ration it better, which no one believes, specifically Marty, who wonders if NaOnka wasn't just going to hoard a secret stash of flour that she could "use to [her] advantage." Ben speaks up and asks NaOnka why she didn't just tell everyone to stop using so much flour. Um, because she wanted to steal the flour, Ben. Duh. NaOnka does have a tiny little piece of honor, though, and says that people shouldn't blame Alina because this wasn't her idea. Jud seems genuinely touched by this and sincerely thanks NaOnka for finally doing the right thing. Marty, meanwhile, interviews that NaOnka just admitted to stealing their food and lying about it, and so by all rights should be the person going home. But, he realizes, that's probably not how it's going to go down.
The morning, it's rice and beans for breakfast. No fruit, since that disappeared (which I don't think the others actually know about). Brenda says that what NaOnka did was "ridiculous," but Alina was also involved so that just makes it easier to get rid of her tonight. Sash, Chase, and Brenda meet to discuss NaOnka and whether or not they should "protect" her. "Don't we have to?" Brenda asks. NO, YOU DON'T. They have the numbers without NaOnka, and NaOnka has an immunity idol so this would be an ideal time to blindside her. But they're probably all salivating over the idea of bringing her to the Final Three or Two with them. Sure enough, Sash interviews that his game plan is to take NaOnka to the end because she won't get any votes. You know, I'm just going to go on this show and be a horrible person so I can get second place and like $100,000. That's the easiest strategy of all. Sash talks to NaOnka and tells her that almost everyone is still set to vote Alina out and he's sure that her food-stealing caper will blow over in time. "You're my number one girl here," he tells her.
Jane then wanders into camp holding a freshly-caught fish. She wants to make sure everyone knows it, too, and has apparently created a "fish dance" to do in front of the group to mark the occasion. "Fish dance, kiss my ass," Marty mutters, much to Jud and Ben's amusement. Yes, he still hates Jane's guts and doesn't understand why no one else can see how dangerous she is with her connections to all the young people. He takes Brenda for a walk to try to explain how this game should work to her, saying the farther Jane goes, the more dangerous she is until she's in the Finals getting every single vote because she's so popular and needs the money because of her very sad backstory. That's true, but I'm sure Brenda is well aware of it and sees what Marty is doing right now for the scrambling to save his own ass it really is. Brenda says that all Marty is doing is convincing her that he's a dangerous player who needs to go as soon as possible. And yet, even though she's had two opportunities to get rid of him, she hasn't. So, shut up, Brenda.
Immunity challenge time! Probst unveils the new necklaces, which are covered in doubloons with a bejeweled golden cross in the middle. Oh, and yes, there are two necklaces, since this is going to be an endurance challenge with the man and woman who outlast the rest both winning. For this challenge, contestants will have to use metal handles with loops on the end to hold up an iron bar by pulling the handles away from the center of their bodies to create tension. If they get tired or lose concentration, the bar will slip through the loops, drop, and break a tile on the ground, knocking them out of the competition. The contestants lift up their bars (though not without some difficulty, DAN) and the challenge begins. The other Kelly is stupid, weak, and useless, so she drops her bar almost immediately. Dan follows suit. How can he blame that failure on his bad knee? I'm sure he'll find a way. Alina seems to lose her concentration and drops her bar . She's pissed because she knows she may well have just lost the game for herself. Brenda and Ben are the to go, followed by Sash and then NaOnka. This leaves Jane and Holly for the women and Marty, Jud, and Chase, for the men. Go old ladies! Ah, but Holly starts to struggle. As Jane calmly looks on, Holly's bar falls and shatters the tile. Jane wins, and Probst tells her she can go ahead and drop the bar. Jane says she'd rather see if she can beat the guys, too. "Go for it!" Probst says, absolutely loving Jane right now. "She's a North Carolina girl, Jeff," Chase says, thus giving Brenda something to think about regarding what Marty told her earlier. Not that it'll matter, since these people are crazy and make ridiculous decisions.
Then it's Marty's turn to struggle. As Jane looks on happily, his bar falls and breaks the tile. This pleases Jane and Brenda. Probst takes a second to point out that Jane, the oldest contestant left in the game, has beaten out everyone but two young strong guys. Make that one -- Chase suddenly loses his concentration and his bar falls. Probst declares Jud to be the winner of the men's immunity and he releases his bar. Jane then releases hers, but won't do it over her tile because she doesn't want to break it after all that. They should totally keep that tile, frame it, and give it to Jane to keep forever until she accidentally shatters it with random shotgun fire. That was pretty spectacular, albeit not the most strategic move on Jane's part, as it just clearly and very publicly shows her to be that much more of a threat. Probst gives Jud and Jane their necklaces and says he'll see everyone at Tribal. With that, Jane decides that giving Jud a straddle-hug is appropriate. A 56-year-old woman in a bikini just basically mounted the 22-year-old. He must be having some very confused feelings right now.
The tribe returns to camp, and Jane calls all the young women together to embrace her and celebrate her victory. She mutters that she "only wanted to beat Marty," and then Holly wanders in to be included in a second ladies hug/strategy huddle, as Jane then mutters that Marty is her "number one choice" to go tonight. Jane interviews that her entire goal was to beat Marty in a challenge and show him that she is better than him. Guys, Jane's hate for Marty is kind of getting annoying. On the beach, the other Kelly "strategizes" with Jane and Alina that they can get all the girls "and Sash" together to vote for Marty tonight. Alina then suggests that they tell Marty they're voting for NaOnka and Alina in order to blindside him. But Alina isn't totally naïve -- she interviews that she's well aware of how much she needed to win immunity today and has to hope that Jane's hatred of Marty will be enough to convince her allies to vote for Marty tonight instead of Alina. She says she's just going to "lay low" and hope Marty stirs up some drama and puts the spotlight on himself. Meanwhile, Chase has very strong desires to get rid of Alina ASAP, saying that if they decide to get rid of Marty tonight, they "have" to get rid of Alina . Holly agrees. But Jane thinks Marty is "demoralizing" their entire camp and thus should go first. Okay, but it isn't demoralizing when NaOnka steals and eats all the food? Please. Jane thinks she has seven people voting for Marty with her, but NaOnka says she knows that Sash wants to vote for Alina. NaOnka interviews that Jane wants Marty out so bad that she's going to write his name down tonight no matter what. Yes, putting personal grudges before your alliance's plan and showing all contestants that you are capable of beating the men in individual immunity challenges are really good ways to advance yourself in this game, Jane.
Meanwhile, Dan still exists on this show. He's lying back in the shelter doing his usual nothing and waiting for the people to come to him, which Chase does. He tells Dan it's either Alina or Marty tonight. "Just let me know," Dan says. And then Sash rolls up to ask Chase, Brenda, and Jane for a "big favor." You see, he promised Marty that he would give him his idol back at the Tribal if Marty was on "the outs," so he'd appreciate it if everyone could vote for Alina tonight so that Sash won't be breaking his promise to Marty or something. Basically, Sash is asking everyone to please wait one more Tribal before voting Marty out so that Sash can be assured one vote from Marty if he makes it to the end. Even though that's one vote everyone else wouldn't be getting so they should really be rushing to vote Marty out so that Sash doesn't keep his promise and then get rid of Sash , Jane protests that she doesn't want to risk Marty going on an immunity run. Sash says that won't happen, and says he doesn't want to break promises "right away." But he will, apparently, have no problem doing it later when he's breaking the promises he probably made to the very people he's telling all of this to. Jane suggests that Sash give the idol to her, and then he won't have to break his promise to Marty and they can still vote Marty out. Of course, Sash isn't doing that, and Brenda seems to totally support his plan and tells Jane not to worry -- they'll have plenty of chances to get rid of Marty. "I am his target," Jane says. "But we're your alliance," says the guy who just said he didn't want to break promises "yet." Jane is not convinced, and interviews that she has nothing to do with Sash's trust-gaining arrangement with Marty and therefore has no reason to abide by it. She will vote for Marty tonight and not, she says, "uh-line-uh," which is probably for the best considering that she still doesn't know how to pronounce the girl's name.
Uh oh! Dan is awake and ready to make his move! While holding his package for some reason, he tells Marty not to trust Chase, because he's trying to blindside Marty. "That's just your gut feeling," Marty says. Dan says it's that, and also the fact that Chase came up to him and told him it was either Alina or Marty going tonight. That seems to convince Marty, who takes Dan with him to talk to Sash about this. Sash says Chase was wrong about what he said to Dan and it's definitely Alina tonight. Marty decides to get arrogant for some reason at this point and interviews that Chase is a "moron" for trying to blindside him without having the numbers on his side because Marty believes that Brenda and Sash are totally legit when they tell him that there is no plan to vote Marty out because Marty is also a moron. Marty reminds them that it would be a mistake to vote him out when he has no allies and no idol and is therefore no threat. Except, by that same logic, it would also be a mistake to vote Alina out. Sash interviews that for all of Marty's scrambling, he's only making things worse for himself and would be best served by just lying low. Yes, well, I'm sure that's what Sash would like because this game is much easier to win when no one does anything to save himself before Tribal Council.
Marty runs over to Holly and freaks out on her about how he doesn't believe that everyone is voting for Alina tonight. Holly says Alina is the name she heard around camp and gives Marty her "South Dakota word of honor" (whatever that is) that she's voting for Alina tonight. I guess the South Dakota word of honor doesn't mean as much as Marty thought it did, though, because the thing we see, Holly, Jane, and Alina are discussing the possibility of voting Marty out and if they can get enough votes to do it. Alina seems to think that Chase, the other Kelly, and NaOnka will vote for Marty, and says she'll just have to try to convince Jud to do the same. She finds him in the woods and tries to make her case that Marty should go home before she does. Jud says NaOnka should go home before any of them. YES THANK YOU JUD. HOW ARE YOU THE ONLY PERSON IN THIS GAME WITH ANY BRAINS WHEN YOU DON'T REALLY HAVE ANY BRAINS TO START WITH? Unlike most people on this show, whose mental faculties begin to fail once the starvation sets in, Jud is actually getting smarter as the game progresses.
Also, where has Ben been all this time? Alina tells Jud to go ahead and cast a random vote for NaOnka, and then her numbers will be enough to vote Marty out. Jud says talk like this is why "everyone wants [Alina] out." "You're dangerous," he tells her. Alina says she's just trying to be smart and keep herself in this game as long as possible, which is true. But Jud has to keep himself in this game as well, and ruining people's plans with a random vote for NaOnka will only put a target on his back. Plus, he says, he's "been friends with Marty for a while." Aw, look at Jud with his loyalty that has no place in this game! It's kind of adorable. Alina whines that she thought she and Jud were friends, too, and then runs away. Meanwhile, Dan wanders around on the path behind them, proving that he does make it out of the shelter and onto his feet at least once a day. I wonder where he's going? The scene ends before we can find out.
Probst begins the Tribal proceedings. He asks Holly if she can tell that the game is starting to change now that the tribes have merged. Holly says yes, because people are going to do anything and everything to save themselves from being voted out and get to the end. As opposed to before the merge, when people did nothing to stop from being voted out? She says that agreeing with everyone isn't enough anymore -- "you have to take a risk." Probst asks Marty if he agrees that this is when the big moves will start to happen. Of course, Marty does agree, and reminds the tribe that sometimes you only have a small window of opportunity to make those big moves so you'd better act on it. And with that, he decides to act on his own window of opportunity to drag Jane down on what is probably his way out, much like he did at the last Tribal that he thought he was being voted out of. He says he just wants everyone to know that what "Miss Jane" is saying about him being mean to her since the game began is wrong, and that it was Jane who made "a series of bad mistakes and bad decisions" that got her to the position she was in before the tribe switch. The look on Jane's face right now is disbelief mixed with homicidal rage and fairly terrifying. We are going to find Marty's body full of shotgun pellets with the eyes pecked out by turkeys, you guys. But Marty continues that Jane aligned herself with three weak players who were all voted out.
Jane lets out a series of whoas along with a finger waggle that impresses even NaOnka and says that Marty and his crew "fluffed" Jane off when she approached them. Marty says he wasn't going to make an alliance with someone 30 minutes into the game like Jane apparently wanted him to. Jane, though, thinks she was rejected because Marty didn't think she was "strong." Marty then calls her a "little old lady from South Carolina," which enrages Jane because she is from North Carolina. Marty ignores her and says anyone who watches Survivor (which would be, like, almost no one left in the game at this point) knows that it's someone like Jane who will win the million dollars -- she has a very sad backstory and needs the money desperately because she spent her life savings on infomercial products like the P90X. And, Marty says as Jane rolls her eyes, despite everything that has happened between him and Jane, he'd vote for her in the end if she made it because she'd deserve the money and the people who didn't get rid of her sooner would deserve to lose for making a "strategic error." That seems to get Sash and Brenda's attention. Jane chalks this up to Marty's "personal vendetta" against her, although I think it's more like Marty is responding to Jane's personal vendetta against him.
When Marty's speech is finally over, Probst asks Alina if she thinks Marty hurt himself tonight with his anti-Jane rhetoric. Alina, of course, says that this just shows what a smart, strategic, and dangerous player Marty is and why he should be voted out tonight. But then!! Dan raises his hand and says there are two people in Libertad who stole food and cooking supplies (although he does not mention the fruit, so I guess NaOnka and Alina didn't come clean about that). Probst asks for names, and Dan readily gives them. Shockingly, NaOnka speaks up to defend Alina and take all the blame for herself, saying that she was the one who took everything, not Alina, but she did give everything back after she was "pushed into a corner." Marty just shakes his head and rolls his eyes in disgust that he has to sit there and worry about being voted out tonight and NaOnka doesn't. Jud points out that NaOnka only gave the stuff back because everyone found out she took it. NaOnka insists that she has already been punished for her crime, and Probst asks her to say how, exactly, she was punished. "Nobody talked to me," NaOnka says. Jud is absolutely disgusted, but no one else bothers to speak up.
Probst asks Alina what she had to do with all of this, and Alina doesn't answer him, just says that she was willing to admit her guilt and face the music. I guess she's trying to make a case for her being an honest and trustworthy ally? Although fessing up to helping NaOnka steal stuff doesn't seem like the best way to do that. Probst asks Alina how she can get the food-stealing target off her back now. Why would she? Alina seems to really like that target, seeing as how she takes almost every opportunity to remind everyone that she was sort of culpable in the NaOnka tortilla caper. Alina says she should be kept around because she can be a "pawn" and a "number." So, basically, they shouldn't vote out someone who was involved in stealing tribe food and will vote whichever way the wind blows. Yeah, that doesn't sound like a dangerous player at all.
Jane and Jud will be keeping their immunity tonight, but everyone else can be voted for. Jane votes for "Marti," saying she hopes everyone is "smart" in his vote even though she isn't even smart enough to spell Marty correctly. Maybe she got Marty confused with this Marti? After all, she's from North Carolina too, so she's probably Jane's sister and Chase's cousin or something. Alina votes for Marty. Ben votes for Alina with a very hostile statement about her being a "one hundred percent grade A dirt squirrel" that he follows up with a squirrel imitation. It's creepy and gross, and that's even before I looked up what the hell a "dirt squirrel" was and found that it means a slutty woman. Did Alina turn down Ben's advances or something? Does he just hate women? Where the hell did that come from? What an asshole. Anyway, Sash votes for Alina. Probst returns with the urn and reads off two votes for Marty and the rest for Alina. She is pissed, although I think Jane might be even angrier. On her way out, she gives a nice "good luck, guys," to the people who just voted her out and hated her for seemingly no reason, which is much better than they deserve.
