It's Juliet's first day at public school, so she's off to greet the masses, or so she thinks, but Andrew objects to the shorts she's wearing. Juliet objects to his objection, until Bridget calmly weighs in that they are a little "fabric challenged." You heard that too, right? She's totally Buffy. Juliet, not wanting to fight the Slayer, agrees to change. She also hands Bridget what's left of her drug stash, so that her room can remain in its non-ransacked state. My daughter pre-ransacks her room for me every morning, in a ritual she likes to call "getting ready for school."

At school, Juliet is immediately the target of the resident tough girl, Tessa, in her first class -- taught by Logan Echolls. Okay, if you didn't watch Veronica Mars (and not nearly enough of you did) the actor's name is Jason Dohring. On Ringer the delightful Dohring plays Mr. Carpenter. When the tension, that starts in his class, turns to fighting in the corridor, Juliet is hauled down to the Principal's office.

In a scene reminiscent of Sunnydale High's Principal Flutie reviewing Buffy's permanent record from L.A., this NYC principal is inclined to distrust Juliet, because she knows she was a druggie hellion at her last school. Since Juliet is the new girl, none of the student witnesses will admit that Tessa started it. A displeased Andrew is called in and does not believe Juliet, either. While Juliet waits for Andrew to finish his meeting with the principal, Carpenter checks in on Juliet. She's upset. She just wanted a fresh start. Something about her gets to him, so Carpenter lies to the principal, saying he saw the fight and Tessa started it. When Juliet wonders why covered for her, Carpenter explains that he's quite familiar with Tessa's M.O., and everyone deserves a fresh start. Aw, Logan.

Bridget has a busy day. She keeps trying to contact Gemma, and she's got to get rid of those damned drugs Juliet handed her. She calls the cute potential sponsor from Brooklyn -- Charlie. He meets her at a restaurant, takes them and throws them in the trash. Problem solved? Well, who knows on this show. Somewhere in there, Bridget learns from Andrew that Gemma called him all in a tizzy the night before, but when he got to her place, Henry said she wasn't home and hadn't been. Bridget's frantic to reach Gemma now, and even goes over to Gramercy Park. She only finds Henry who drags her in, tells her the state of his home when he got in last night, and accuses her of killing his wife. Bridget tells him he's crazy, and that cleaning up the blood was a bad idea, because it seems something really did happen to Gemma. Neither one believes the other innocent in Gemma's disappearance, and Henry has a reason to suspect "Shiv." Eight months ago, she proposed getting rid of Gemma and Andrew, and only laughed it off as a joke, when it was clear Henry wasn't on board. Later in the episode, Henry decides "Shiv" is telling him the truth and is stupid enough to tell her where he stashed the cleaning supplies and blood stained rags.

Bridget locates the dumpster. She's wearing gloves as she picks through the trash and locates the evidence. She then makes an anonymous call to the police, reporting Gemma missing and telling them where they can find evidence of foul play. It's not long before Machado gets a call from the cops, saying they've found Bridget Kelly's finger prints on the evidence in the Butler missing person case. In a flashback, it's revealed that Bridget purposefully planted it there. Oh, girl. I think you just outthought yourself.

Machado, by the way, spends much of the episode in Wyoming, searching for Malcolm. He suspects Macawi has done something with him, but he can't search the strip club without a warrant. By the time Machado finally gets into the club basement, Malcolm (who breaks this episode and is ready to give up Bridget) is gone.

The episode ends in Paris. Shiv gets a call, informing her, "The Gemma problem has been taken care of." Shiv says, "I didn't want it to have to come to this." Wow.

I'll be back with the full weecap, tomorrow. In the meantime, please grade the episode at the top of the page and then join us in the show thread, where Jason Dohring is keeping us all after school.

Want more? The full recap starts right below!

Welcome back, everyone. I know some of you have just been hanging in there, waiting for Jason Dohring (Logan Echolls on Veronica Mars) to appear. Your patience has been rewarded, so let's get to it, shall we?

We pick up right where the last episode left off, so Bridget is still only two weeks into assuming Shiv's life. I mention that, because people keep wondering how long she can fake this pregnancy (unless Bridget is also pregnant). In the show's chronology, it hasn't been all that long. Bridget tucks in an already sleeping Juliet. Andrew finally arrives home with Juliet's contrivance aspirin. He tells Bridget that Gemma called to tell him something important. "The thing is, when I got to the Butler's, Henry told me she wasn't there. That's a bit odd, right? The thing is, she sounded a bit off when we spoke, and so did Henry, for that matter. You wouldn't have any idea what she wanted to talk to me about?" Maybe how you're overusing "the thing is?" Bridget: "Not a clue." Girl, I hope you are wearing some preternaturally strong Depends under that black peignoir set. Andrew suggests Bridget call Gemma in the morning and make sure she's okay.

Gramercy Park: Henry bleaches the blood off his walls, cleans up the broken vase, and tosses the evidence in a trash bag, in a terrifically cheesy montage that ends with him glaring into the camera, and me making an appointment to get my cholesterol checked. Title card.

Park Ave., Morning: We hear Gemma's voice mail greeting: "You've reached Gemma. Don't be boring." I kind of love that. Bridget leaves a loaded, "I thought we came to an understanding" message ending with, "I would like to be the friend to you that my sister never was... if you'll let me." My word, she says too much in recordings. Andrew and Juliet enter the room, arguing about her short-shorts which he deems inappropriate, particularly on her first day of school. He's not exaggerating. I think I just accidentally gave her an internal examination. Bridget chimes in that they are a little "fabric-challenged" and everyone, everywhere, who ever watched at least 3 minutes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, yells out, "BUFFY, I TOTALLY KNEW IT WAS YOU THE WHOLE TIME!" And then half of us whisper about the fabric challenged mini-skirts Buffy favored, especially in Season 1.

Juliet labors under the delusion that, as a public school student, she can wear whatever she wants and utters this episode's title: "The poor kids do it every day." Unlike the show, I have used the two words every and day, rather than everyday, because that's how it's supposed to be in this instance. And yes, I know I've just jinxed myself to leave you with a thousand horrid typos and other goofs to which I will be blind, but I couldn't stop. Oh and wait, since I'm already doomed, I'll mention (and this has nothing to do with the show), I NEED every English-speaker on the planet to promise me you will never, ever, ever again write should of and/or shouldn't of. It is should have and shouldn't have. Here's your problem: you're writing should of because you think that's what people are saying when you hear the contraction should've. Okay? Good. Don't let it happen again. If this stops just one of you, it's worth the typo jinx.

Bridget reasons with Juliet, suggesting that she might want to put her best foot forward. Juliet, realizing she is no match for the Slayer, acquiesces. When Andrew goes to get the car, Juliet hands a bag full of drugs to Bridget. "So you don't go tossing my room again while I'm gone. This is the last of it. Best foot forward, right?" Bridget is shaken by how much temptation fits in a little brown paper bag.

Alley: Henry tosses the evidence of his bloody clean up into some random dumpster.

Park Ave: Bridget goes to flush Juliet's drugs, but can't bring herself to do it. She looks in the mirror and gives us a mini Buffy boo-boo face, with a bonus bottom lip quiver.

JFK Airport: Henry leaves Gemma's car in long term parking, which is plainly stupid, because airports have cameras all over the place.

Park Ave: Bridget leaves a message for the cute, Brooklyn NA guy, Charlie. She really needs to speak to someone in person. She still can't bring herself to dump Juliet's stash. When she hangs up, she gets a call from the doorman. A Maddie Smithfield from Gemma Butler's office is there to see her. She's dropping off the keys to the loft and is sorry they're pulling out of the project. Maddie wonders if "Shiv" has heard from Gemma yet, this morning. She wasn't in the office, and Maddie has been unable to reach her on her cell. That's because the roaming charges to Heaven are... out of this world. (Sorry. Ahem.) Bridget flashes back to what Andrew told her about Gemma. Maddie leaves. Bridget worries.

Zachary Secor High School: I wonder where they got that name. The first usable hit I got when I searched was someone who is into FarmVille, FishVille and a whole bunch of other Villes. Juliet enters English class and introduces herself to Logan Echolls who is totally pretending to be a teacher, instead of the high school's obligatory psychotic jackass (OPJ). Wait 'til Buffy gets ahold of him. Okay, I'll try to keep my imaginary TV life from spewing all over this weecap, but it's Logan, in a shirt and tie, and he's not going to a funeral or his own indictment hearing! My friend, Denise, is happy when I report that Jason Dohring looks like a grown-up in his Mr. Carpenter role. "Good. I won't have to feel like a child molester, then." Denise is practically Dohring's age anyhow, and he's rounding on 30, so delete that angry email you just started.

Juliet sits down in front of Tessa "You Can Tell What I Am Because I'm Wearing Too Much Eye Shadow and Jeans with Multiple Slits up the Legs" Toughbitch, who seems to be this school's OPJ. Tessa starts in on Juliet right away. "Hey, rich girl, can I borrow five bucks?" Really, writers? That's her taunt? Juliet ignores her, while Mr. Carpenter introduces today's topic: Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew. Heh. When Tessa kicks the back of Juliet's chair and says, "I said I need five dollars," Carpenter turns around, but doesn't see anything actionable happening. Juliet doesn't turn. She just takes a twenty dollar bill out of her pocket, holds it up, and lets Tessa grab it. As Tessa shows it around to the other smirking students, Juliet puts on a baby-voice and says, "Now you and your family can eat for a whole month." When everyone (but Tessa) laughs, Carpenter turns around again. "Is there a problem? Tessa?" Tessa puts on a fake smile and says, "No, Mr. C., teach away." Once his back is turned, Tessa flares her nostrils and scowls. Juliet never looks at her.

Gramercy Park West: Bridget rings the doorbell at the Bickersons, but there's no answer, so she leaves "It's Gemma; Don't be boring" another voice mail. Once she's done, Henry opens the door and tells Bridget to get inside now. Behind closed doors, he asks where Gemma is. Bridget says she doesn't know, that's why she's here. Henry doesn't believe her. "Cut the crap, Siobhan. I saw the blood on the walls, last night -- the broken vase. Why don't you just tell me what happened? Tell me what you did to my wife!" Commercial.

Henry describes the bloody mess that greeted him last night. He's convinced Bridget offed Gemma. He says he was going to call her last night. "But then I realized there had to be a reason you didn't call me. And it hit me. You didn't want our phone records showing that we were in contact the night Gemma went missing. Am I right?" Wait, why does he not remember that she called him six times that night, before they met up at 11:15 PM? If it's just because he's panicked, that's fine, but then why doesn't Bridget remind him? It makes me think the writers forgot, instead of Henry. At any rate, Bridget insists she knows nothing about the blood. Henry shows her where it was and says he cleaned up all the blood and dumped Gemma's car in JFK's long-term parking lot. Bridget asks him why he would do that. Henry: "Because despite everything you have put me through over the past few weeks, my first instinct was to protect you." Bridget: "Then you made a big mistake, because I was with Andrew and Juliet last night, and I would never hurt Gemma." Henry screams at "Shiv" to stop lying to him. Bridget says he's the one who looks like he snapped, as he's the one who's cleaning up crime scenes. He reminds Shiv that she's the one who talked about killing Gemma and Andrew. And we flashback to...

Eight Months Ago: Henry and Shiv are nearly nekkid and all lovey-dovey. He wishes the two of them could disappear together. Shiv suggests making Gemma and Andrew disappear instead. "We could take matters into our own hands. I'm just saying... we could finally be together. No more sneaking around." Henry lets out a small, scared laugh. "Oh my God. You're serious, aren't you?" Siobhan: "Do you want me to be?" When Henry says nothing, Shiv bursts out laughing and insists she's joking. "You're gullible. It's a good thing you're so adorable." Dear Lord, woman. You have Andrew at home. ANDREW.

Back in the present, Henry says, "You tell me you don't remember." Bridget says she doesn't, adding, "But I would never..." Henry: "You would never what, huh? Never sleep with your best friend's husband? Never get knocked up by him and then kick him to the curb? You tell me -- what would a woman like you never do?" And you feel protective of her? Someone killed (or absconded with) the wrong Bickerson, I tell you what. Henry then screams, grabs Bridget by the arms and demands she tell him where Gemma is. He realizes he's out of control and backs off. "All right, I'm sorry. Come on. I'm trying to help you, Siobhan. You know me." Bridget is halfway out the door by now. "No. I don't know you. And I never did." Oh look, she accidentally told the truth.

Rock Springs Community College Parking Garage, Wyoming: We open on yellow "POLICE LINE DO NOT CROSS" tape as a siren breaks the silence. Inside the garage, Agent Guyliner is getting the skinny on Malcolm's disappearance from Police Officer Jimmy -- the officer who did a piss poor job of watching over Bridget in the pilot episode. "I reached out to you in New York, because I thought he might have joined our old friend Bridget Kelly -- on the lam." Cop talk. Cop talk. Cop talk. Officer Jimmy notes that he still owes Bridget for clocking him, and points to his healing head wound -- which I'm only highlighting, because I'm starting to think Bridget didn't do anything to Jimmy. At one point, I thought she drugged his coffee before she escaped, but now I'm not even sure she did that, because when Machado brought her back to the Two Nickels Motel, it was still daylight. Later, after dark, Bridget looks out the motel window and sees Jimmy standing watch. I don't know. Just consider this my pin in the whole Bridget overwhelms Officer Jimmy and drags him into the motel shower, cuffs him and duct tapes his mouth shut affair. More cop talk. Guyliner finds a clump of cigarette butts and asks Jimmy to have them tested for DNA. He thinks Macawi's guys probably stalked Malcolm and grabbed him. Meanwhile, Guyliner and Jimmy are off to see some live, nude girls.

Club Caged, Dungeon: Malcolm's still not talking so one of the Macawi minions heats up some heroin (right?) in a spoon, exposits all over us about how they've been drugging Malcolm. When the minion walks away with the heroin, Malcolm finally cracks. "Wait. I'll tell you... I'll tell you everything you want to know." Good, maybe we can end this part of the story quickly, because it bites.

Zachary Secor High School, NYC: Juliet and Tessa Toughbitch have a bitch-off in the hallway, during which Tessa drops the cash at Juliet's feet. Juliet tries to walk away, and even sort of gives Toughbitch a chance to dial it down a notch. "The only thing I'm sure of is that I don't like people hitting me up for money in the middle of class. You apologize for that, and maybe I'll apologize for everything else." Tessa says, "Here's your apology, right here," and smashes Juliet's face into a locker. When Juliet turns, the sparkly star-shaped doodad that adorns her headband, seems to say, "You've made Princess angry. You won't like Princess when she's angry." But I do. She pounces on Tessa. Awesome! The two are rolling around on the floor, and even though there are as many guys as girls in this scene, all the extras only chant, "Fight fight fight," rather than "Chick fight," or "Cat fight." Talk about your implausibility parade.

My mother wants you to pay attention to this bit. While the girls are rolling around on the floor, Mr. Carpenter and Old Teacher see the commotion and push their way through the crowd. Juliet is on top when they break through, and Carpenter picks her right up off the floor and off Tessa. We don't know his first name yet, so can I still call him Logan? I can?! Thanks. Logan hands Juliet off to Old Teacher and a third teacher helps Tessa to her feet. Logan tells the girls, "It's over," and tells the other teachers to, "Take them away." My friend Christy gets all nostalgic for the OPJ who used to be, and tells Logan, "Wasn't that long ago that you were fighting in the halls!" I add, "And don't forget the bum fights!" Logan doesn't have time to walk down Memory Lane with Christy and me though, because he's got to condense his Taming of the Shrew lesson plans so he can get cracking on Romeo and... well, you know.

Park Ave: Bridget tries Gemma again, and I've heard the, "You've reached Gemma, don't be boring" greeting so many times now, that my love had turned to hate. B heads into her room and grabs Juliet's bag o' drugs. She's examining a little baggie of white powder, when someone wearing a rope bracelet (they still make those) grabs her from behind and puts his hand over her mouth. Oh look at the douche scarf. It must be Henry. Commercial.

It is Henry. He has let himself into the Martins' place with the key Shiv gave him. He came through the back. He just wants to talk. Okay, then what the hell is up with sneaking up on her and covering her mouth like that? Show, you know I'm having fun with you. I've been cheering you on. But that wasn't even schmuck bait, just a schmucky waste of my time. When he assures "Shiv" that he didn't hurt Gemma she tells him to call the police. He says he can't, now that he's cleaned up all the blood. "I couldn't look more guilty.... Oh wait, I could. I called my attorney yesterday, and told him to pull the trigger on a divorce. So? Gemma is reported missing. How long 'til the cops figure out that I was having an affair? And how long 'til they figure out the other woman was you." Pay attention to that last bit. Bridget sure does. Anyhow, she tells him he needs to go. Henry pleads for her help. As she sees him to the elevator, she tells him she needs some time to think. Once he's gone, the phone rings. It's NA Charlie.

Bridget meets NA Charlie at a coffee shop and hands over the bag of drugs. He tosses it in the trash can and tells her that what's important is that she reached out for help. "You can wake up in the morning..." he pauses to gesture to the mirror to Bridget, "...and you can look her right in the eye, and you can say you have no regrets." When Bridget looks in the mirror, she freaks. Charlie asks if she's okay. "You look like you're lost or something." Bridget says she has to be somewhere, thanks him for taking time for her, and takes off.

Outside, Bridget calls Henry, who cracks, "So much for staying out of each other's phone records." Henry, she called you six times last night! And I'm pretty sure her Park Ave. building has security cameras, even at the back entrance. I'm trying not to hate you, but you're not making it easy. Bridget gets Henry to tell her where he dumped the rags. She doesn't want him identified as a suspect, because that will lead the cops to connect the dots to her. "I can't let that happen." Pay attention to that, too.

Club Cage: Malcolm is still sweating out his boring storyline in the basement. Upstairs, where the action is, Macawi approaches and greets Guyliner who asks him if he knows the name Malcolm Ward. When Macawi says no, Guyliner goes through the whole story about how Bridget witnessed Macawi choke a dancer to death, and how she was supposed to testify and then took off, all to explain that Malcolm is Bridget's friend. When Guyliner asks to look around for Malcolm, Tall Minion says, "You got a warrant, Chief?" Jimmy asks if they have something to hide. Tall Minion says, "No warrant. No search. Feel free to stay for the show. We'll even buy you pales a dance." At first, I think he means pails and wonder what kind of fresh slang hell this is, 'til I remember Macawi and crew are Native American. I want Nestor Carbonell, who is reportedly of Spanish and Cuban descent to say, "Who you calling 'pale'?" But no.

ZSHS, Principal's Office: Juliet tells the principal that Tessa started the fight. The principal is disinclined to believe Juliet, because she has seen her permanent record. When she pulls it out, all I can think of is Principal Flutie Buffy's first day at Sunnydale High. When Andrew arrives, he's not inclined to believe Juliet, either, and sends her out to wait for him while he talks to the principal.

Alley: Speaking of Buffy, Bridget is in a dark alley, looking through the dumpster for Henry's evidence. My friend, Theresa (you didn't think I forgot Theresa, did you) says, "Did you see Buffy pop the lids on those trash cans? That's my girl!" She's wearing black gloves, a black top, and if I'm not mistaken, brown leather pants. She finds a pay phone outside the Lucky Lilac Hand Laundry (no, really) and makes an anonymous call to the police, in which she reports Gemma missing and tells them where they can find evidence that there's been foul play. Someone ought to report the Butler twins missing, too.

Gramercy Park West: Two NYPD detectives meet Henry at his front door and ask if his wife is available to speak with them. Henry says she's been out all day, so they ask if they can come in and talk to him. He lies that he was asleep when Gemma came home and didn't wake 'til after she left. When they tell Henry she hasn't checked in at her office all day, he explains that as an architect, she's at job sites a lot. He finally asks if they think something happened to her. He Cop tells him they got an anonymous tip from a woman who thinks something happened to Gemma. Nice job telling Henry it was a woman who called. She Cop asks if he knows anything about the bloody rags they recovered in a dumpster behind a restaurant on East 23rd. Henry pleads dumb, so She Cop invites him to the precinct to continue the conversation and look at some photographs.

Bridget is hiding not at all effectively, behind a tree, across the street, and watches as Henry gets in the car with the detectives. Her phone rings. It's NA Charlie, just checking in since she took off in such a hurry. She says she's okay, but would like him to be her new sponsor. Charlie says it has to be a regular thing, and not just when she needs help. She asks if she can get back to him. He asks if he can trust her not to return to the cafe and dig the drugs out of the trashcan. She's already been dumpster diving today, Charlie. Bridget says, "Yeah, you can. Those are relics of my old life. Today's about protecting my new one."

Rock Springs, Wyoming: Jimmy finds Agent Guyliner at a diner and says the DNA on the cigarette butts gives them enough evidence to get a warrant to search Club Caged. By the time they get there, Malcolm is no longer in the basement. Neither Guyliner or the uniformed officer with him notice the drug spoon on the floor.

ZSHS Office: Logan finds Juliet crying on a bench outside the Principal's office. It seems he was an Army brat, so he knows what it's like to be the new kid. He lived in seven different towns between grades one and twelve. She wonders if Logan's father ever called him a liar, and I'm about to toss her some links to our Veronica Mars recaps, so she can see just what this boy had for a father, but I don't want to spoil her. She may find the series yet on DVD. Buffy Bridget should make Juliet watch VM, as part of her attitude adjustment training. Anyhow, Juliet's all sniffly. She thought she was getting a fresh start, but no one will believe that she didn't start the fight. When Principal Caruso and Andrew enter the outer office, Logan rises to his feet. "Principal Caruso, I think there's been some sort of mistake with regard to Miss Martin, here. [...] She was just explaining to me that she's being reprimanded for the fight that broke out in the hallway, this afternoon, but the truth is, she's not the one who started it. Tessa Banner did. [...] I was there. I saw the whole thing." Andrew suggests Principal Caruso apologizes. I suggest Andrew should take a little of his own advice.

Out in the corridor, Caruso and Andrew talk privately. Juliet is waiting by Logan's door when he exits his classroom. She walks over to him. "You know what's funny? I could have sworn I saw you come out of your classroom after Tessa and I had already started fighting." My mother calls, and says, "She couldn't have seen anything. She and that other girl were rolling around on the floor and he had to break through the crowd to get to them." I tell Mum I know. She tells me to make sure I put that in my recap, so there ya go. Now, back to Juliet and Logan. Juliet: "You didn't really see who started it, did you?" Logan: "You know, this is the second time in two years I've had the pleasure of Tessa Banner in my classroom. I know exactly what kind of student she is. But you? Everyone deserves a fresh start." Oh my goodness. When I first heard Jason Dohring was joining the cast, I was hoping he and Sarah Michelle Gellar would fulfill some of the unwritten Logan/Buffy cross-over fan fic that's been cluttering my brain for years, but now I think he's going to have an affair with the kid. And what's worse? I kind of want him to. Oh Guilty Pleasure Television, when I'm with you, I don't even recognize myself.

Precinct: Henry can't identify any of the items in the photos. He tries to cast doubt on the anonymous caller, and then stupidly asks, "Don't you have to be missing for 24 hours before you're even considered missing?" He Cop: "Well now I'm confused, Mr. Butler. Do you want us to find your wife or don't you?" Henry says, "Of course I do. Can you blame me for not wanting to believe any of this -- for hoping this is a terrible mistake?" The detectives are called out of the room and leave Henry there to stare at the pictures of the rags and vase shards. When they return, She Cop tells Henry he's free to go, and asks him to call if he hears from his wife. Henry's confused as he thought they said he'd have to be there a while.

Club Caged: Jimmy exposits: "We didn't find Malcolm Ward, but at least we ruined a slimeball's day." He walks out and leaves Guyliner and Macawi to make menacing eyes at each other. Macawi sips his drink and smirks. Victor never bats even one of his gazillion gorgeous eyelashes. As Macawi walks past, Guyliner's phone rings. It's She Cop from New York. They ran the prints from the Gemma evidence and they're a match with Bridget Kelly. Dun dun dun.Park Ave, Night: Bridget arrives home and finds Andrew waiting for her. He makes room for her on the couch and suggests she sit down. Once she does, he tells her, "It's Gemma. It appears something may have happened to her. I just got off the phone with Henry. I don't know all the details, but it seems that no one has seen and heard from her since she called me last night. I know you thought she was taking time, but Henry says the police have reason to believe she was a victim of foul play." Bridget's eyes fill up. 'I don't understand. Are you saying..." Andrew says, "The only thing that's certain at the moment -- is that she's missing. I'm sorry." He takes her in his arms, and one pretty tear slides down Bridget's cheek. Andrew says, "I knew something was wrong. I just knew it." When they break their embrace, Andrew says he'll reschedule his teleconference with Olivia. After he leaves the living room, Bridget's phone rings. It's Guyliner. He just heard the news about Gemma Butler and wanted to offer his sympathies. When Bridget thanks him, he asks, "Can you think of any reason why your sister would want to hurt Gemma?" Bridget stifles a smile as she says, "Why in the world would you ask me that?" He tells her about the fingerprints and says he'll be back in NYC in the morning. "I'm sure I'll see you real soon." We flashback to...

Alley: Buffy Bridget flips up the dumpster lids. She searches for Henry's bag of stupidity. She takes out a big piece of the vase and one of the rags, just like she did last time we saw this. But this time the scene is longer. This time, Bridget removes her right glove, picks up the piece of the vase and leaves a very deliberate thumbprint on it. She even grinds her thumb down for good measure. Oh man, I hope she didn't outsmart her own fool self. I get what she's doing. Remember Henry emphasizing that if the cops suspect him, it won't be long 'til they figure out he was having an affair, nor will it take them long to figure out he was having that affair with her (Shiv)? Well, she's drawing suspicion away from Henry, all right. I suppose she thinks she's safe as Shiv, but I can't believe this will end well.

Paris, France: Shiv, wearing a robe that could be grandmother or matronly great-aunt to a French maid's costume, answers the phone. She even says, "Hello," this time. The male voice on the other end says, "The Gemma problem has been taken care of." Shiv walks across her hotel room. When the caller asks if she's still there, she says, "Yeah, sorry. I didn't want it to have to come to this." La la la. I can't hear you. I am not believing Gemma is dead until I see the body. I just have two questions. Firstly, was that NA Charlie on the other end of the line? Secondly, What do you mean the show is taking off a week? Grr. Arrgh.
