There is no Most Awesome Thing this week, but there will be two week, in honor of the season finale! Enjoy the recap.
The roommates are at work on the boat. Robin says that she wants to take her day off tomorrow, and Brad points out that she'll lose the bonus for them all. Jamie and Brad say that they both need the money. Robin interviews that the bonus is a group effort, and that if any one roommate screws up, no one gets the bonus. Robin, Jamie, and Brad agree that they need to get back to getting bonuses again.
After the boat is docked, Troy makes a speech about how well things went. He details what time they all need to be there on the weekend. Troy mentions that Charlie is trying to get out of work on Sunday. Charlie interviews that he's seeing a girl named Laura for a few months, and that she is coming to visit this weekend. And that's really all that's said about Charlie's potential time off.
On the way home, Cameran wonders what Laura would say when asked if she was Charlie's girlfriend. Charlie begs Cameran not to ask. Charlie interviews that his relationship is good right now. Charlie says that he honestly doesn't know the status of their relationship. In response to Cameran's questions, Charlie says that he tells Laura that he loves her, and she says that she loves him, but he doesn't know if they are dating. Charlie thinks that Cameran is adding stress to the situation. Randy and Brad laugh at him.
Charlie goes home and showers, and then drives to the airport. As he's driving to the airport, he talks to Laura, who has just arrived. Charlie interviews that he's excited to see Laura, because things are going well with them so far. Laura gets into the car, and she's really beautiful. Way prettier than I thought Charlie could pull. Charlie tells Laura that he's decided not to go to work the day, and Laura says that he'll get fired. Charlie interviews that Laura is only there for two days, so there's no way he's going to miss out on one minute of her visit.
Back home, Robin brings a cake out onto the porch for Cameran's birthday. Cameran starts screeching and carrying on like she just won a new car on The Price is Right. What is wrong with her? Cameran blows out the candles. Jamie interviews that Cameran is twenty. Cameran keeps blowing and blowing and Robin finally admits that they are trick candles. Cameran must be on something, because they thing you know, she has her face in the cake, chowing down. She picks frosting out of her nose and then pretends that she's going to throw the entire cake in Brad's face.
“ Charlie interviews that he doesn't have to 'front' with her, which is important to him. Charlie. You are from Portland. Nobody fronts in Portland. ”
Charlie and Laura arrive at the house. Cameran licks cake off her hands and stares at Brad, threatening to throw the cake on him. Brad wards her off with a chair, like a lion tamer. Brad runs into the house and bumps into Robin's boyfriend Mike, who is talking to Charlie and Laura. Brad warns them about Cameran, and then shakes Laura's hand. Brad walks back towards the doors, and Cameran swears on their friendship that she's not going to hit him with the cake. So, of course, thirty seconds later, she smashes the cake into Brad's face. Brad picks frosting out of his ear as Cameran screams that she wins and she's the queen. Wow, you fooled Brad. Congratulations. What an accomplishment.
Charlie and Laura go into the guest bedroom. Charlie interviews that he doesn't have to "front" with her, which is important to him. Charlie. You are from Portland. Nobody fronts in Portland. Brad sneaks into the guest room and giggles. Charlie gets up and shuts the door. Wow, what a fascinating segment.
The morning, the roommates prepare for work. Jamie says that she really wants her bonus. Jamie interviews that they are all pinching pennies, and they really need the bonus money. Jamie wakes up the boys. Brad puts his pants on. Randy says he hates waking up. I feel you, Randy. They all run for the car. Charlie runs out to the car, and they take off. They have five minute to get the bonus. Cameran interviews that they got there on time, so they thought they would get the bonus. Troy asks if Charlie is parking the car. Robin says that Charlie isn't working today. Apparently, Charlie just dropped everyone off so that he could have the car. Troy says that Charlie was a maybe for Sunday, but was supposed to work on Saturday. Jamie interviews that Charlie said that he was excused from work. Troy says that Charlie is "no show no call," and Cameran takes off to kick his ass. Cameran starts screeching because they don't get their bonus.
Back home, Charlie wrestles with Laura. No, really.
Cameran interviews that she's really pissed that Charlie made her lose her money, and that she's going to go home and kill him. Because Cameran has always been a model employee.
“ Jamie says that Charlie went against the team and screwed everyone over. At least Jamie, a good employee, has a leg to stand on here. ”
Charlie asks Cameran how work was, and she brushes right by him. Cameran interviews that they lost $250 as a group, because of Charlie. So they each get fifty dollars, and there are...five of them? How does that math work exactly? There are seven roommates, and even if you take Charlie out, there are still six. I don't know. Cameran asks Charlie if he told Troy he wasn't coming in that day, and Charlie claims that he did. Cameran says that Troy thinks Charlie never called, so they all lost their bonus. Jamie joins in and says that Charlie was a maybe for Sunday, but that he never said anything about Saturday. In a confessional, Jamie says that Charlie went against the team and screwed everyone over. At least Jamie, a good employee, has a leg to stand on here. Charlie offers to call Troy right now. Charlie interviews that he feels terrible about missing work, and that he needs to straighten things out with Troy.
Jamie and Cameran accompany Charlie to the telephone room to call Troy. Charlie tells Troy that there was a miscommunication. Troy says that Charlie thought that he might have a person coming into town. Charlie says that he also said that he "would not probably be able to make it on the days." Troy correctly points out that "probably" is not definite. If you're not going to be there, say you're not going to be there. Saying that you're probably not going to be there means that you might be there, and that's annoying, not to mention evidence of poor work habits. Charlie interviews that when he said he probably wouldn't be there on the weekend, it meant both Saturday and Sunday, because that's what a weekend is. Troy says that it seemed that it was iffy that Laura would even visit, and Charlie says he thought it was definite. Brad watches nearby, and then interviews that you could tell from Charlie's face and tone that he never called Troy and made the proper arrangements. Charlie interviews that he can't argue with the fact that he cost his roommates the bonus.
Laura laughingly accuses Laura of being a liar, and Charlie says that he's not lying. Laura says that she knows Charlie better than that. Yeah! She's known him for...like three months. Who knows him better than she does? Charlie interviews that he's not one to skip out.
