CT Will Work You

Previously on The Real World: CT showed Leah pictures that were sent to him by his ex-girlfriend Jamie. CT wanted Jamie to come and visit. CT had hair like the Heat Miser as he claimed responsibility for some flowers that were sent to Leah. Leah figured out his ruse. Christina and Adam helped a very drunk CT walk down the street, and Adam confessed that when CT gets drunk, he's a liability.

Eiffel Tower Shot Quarante et Un. Ace, Adam, CT, and a couple of other random guys decide to go play basketball. Adam says he's not much of a basketball player, and he just likes to run. But he'll do whatever Ace does, so he's there. CT interviews that "the three guys" have a bond. See, even CT counts Simon as one of the girls. I don't think that's a homophobia thing. I think it's because Simon just hangs out with the girls more, and enjoys the same pursuits as the girls of the house, like shopping and gossiping. Anyway, the guys start playing basketball with a few random other kids. CT drives the lane and throws up a giant airball. Ace shoots, and CT grabs the rebound and then travels a whole lot while dribbling back to the top of the key. Adam tries to guard CT, which is difficult since CT is about six inches taller with long monkey arms. CT throws up a brick and then accuses Adam of being a hacker, complete with chest bump. CT tries to drive the lane again but stops and accuses Adam of pushing him. Adam interviews that CT has "a lot of angst, a lot of anger and aggression in him." CT shoots and misses again. He and Adam both go for the rebound, and CT gets the ball. As he goes up to shoot again, Adam totally hacks him across the arms, although I'm sure Adam would just say he's going for the ball. And it is the playground, so you usually let stuff like that go. CT complains that he was fouled. CT drives the lane again, and Adam is totally using his hands to push CT away. CT once again calls Adam a hack. CT interviews that "Adam is hacking the crap out of [him] every time [he] gets the ball." Adam says that he hasn't fouled CT one time, and CT says that's not true. Adam says, "I don't know what kind of ball they play in Boston." Basketball? CT is totally right to say that Adam has been fouling him.

Back at the house, CT calls his friend Knuckles on the phone. Hee! He has a friend named Knuckles. That's awesome. Meanwhile, Adam gossips with Ace in the bedroom about how CT isn't pleasant to be around, because he acts like a jerk. Knuckles tells CT about how he beat up some kid, and CT laughs that Knuckles needs to take it easy. Ace advises Adam that he won't like every single person he lives with, since they come from such different backgrounds. Adam interviews that CT knows that they aren't best friends, and that they each have things they dislike about the other. CT tells Knuckles that he got into a fight with Adam and called him a clown, and CT thought it was funny because he's the big softie at home, and Adam thinks he's so aggressive. CT interviews that he doesn't come from the same background the others do. Adam tells Ace that he doesn't trust CT. CT tells Knuckles that Jamie is coming to visit on Tuesday. CT interviews that he and Jamie miss each other. CT tells Knuckles that when Jamie comes, he's going to introduce her to his roommates and say that Jamie can trust them if she wants, but that he doesn't trust them. What? I don't get that. Adam complains to Ace that CT lies about the stupidest things, and that he thinks CT might be a pathological liar. You think?

Eiffel Tower Shot Quarante-Deux. Adam, Christina, and Simon are at the office. Adam thinks that CT has an "abrasive personality." Simon agrees that, in every conversation, CT tries to attack people. Simon interviews that he doesn't think CT deserves love in the house because he hasn't been very nice. Adam says that there's no talking to CT, because he just doesn't hear it, and he just wants to fight. Adam says that CT is "that super-egotistical alpha-male type," and has "a very domineering personality." Christina interviews that CT "has become such an impact in the house on negativity." What does that even mean? She just strung a bunch of words together that didn't make a sentence somehow. Simon asks if Adam would still hang around CT if he had another guy in the house to hang out with. Adam says he wouldn't. Um, Simon is a guy, right? I think even Simon considers himself one of the girls.

Ace makes himself a sandwich and jokes to CT that he doesn't know anything about how they make sandwiches where Ace is from, in the 'hood. CT says that Ace is "about as gangster as Adam." Ace interviews that he sees tension between CT and Adam, and he wants to do something to ease that. Ace tells CT that they have to go out drinking. Oh, there's a great solution. Ace invites Adam to go to Happy Hour with them. Adam isn't sure he wants to go. Wow, he must really hate CT to turn down time with Ace. Adam interviews that he doesn't like hanging out with CT, but that they are forced to live together, so they don't have a lot of choice.

The guys go to a bar and meet some ladies. CT interviews that they were having a good time at the club, and there was a drunken little guy at the bar, and CT might have bumped him. Cut to CT drunkenly telling Ace about the guy at the bar. Ace laughs it off. Some chick named Amanda screeches that the guy didn't like the way she and CT spoke English. CT makes Amanda tell Ace that CT was being good. Amanda does. Ace says that CT can be very charming when he wants to be. CT and Amanda are dancing later, and the little guy comes up and says something to him, asking if Amanda is his girl. There must have been more to the conversation, but they don't show it. CT follows the little guy back to the bar, and in a confessional, CT says that the guy kept calling him out, so he had to step up. Ace interviews that he's sure CT bumped the guy or swore at him. Suddenly, everyone is outside. CT is screaming at the little blur-faced guy that he doesn't want to get their friends involved. Little Blurry Guy just stands there with his hands behind his back. CT screams that he doesn't have a problem with the guy, and just asked him to move over. Ace and Adam watch the whole thing warily. Adam interviews that CT talks all the time about what a bad-ass he is, and that he enjoys confrontations like this. CT starts bumping Little Blurry Guy with his chest. CT grabs Adam, who was trying to get between them, and tosses him aside like a rag doll. Ace tries to talk to CT, who won't listen, and CT shoves him aside as well. CT gets up in the guy's face again. Ace interviews that he felt like the guy was going to pull out a gun at any moment. The guy asks CT if he'll listen, and CT screams "one on one" and "I'll work you" and "one on one" a few more times.

The funniest thing is that right after that scene, they broke for commercial, and the first one was soliciting audition tapes for The Real World. Yes, please put me on a show where I might have to deal with a psycho like CT! That would be great.

CT is still arguing with the guy. Ace and Adam have a side argument where Adam can't believe that Ace would call CT his friend. CT and Little Blurry Guy keep fighting but, you know, they're drunk and full of testosterone, so it doesn't make a lot of sense. CT shoves him back, but not that hard. The guy keeps coming back, so CT lightly punches him in the face. Not that it felt great to Little Blurry Guy, but I'm sure that CT could punch harder than that if he wanted to. The little guy refuses to take his hands from behind his back. CT keep shoving the guy, who refuses to fight, and CT gets more and more frustrated. Ace finally gets in front of CT and tells him that the fight's over. CT doesn't believe it, but Ace keeps pushing him back. In a confessional, Adam says that CT puts him at risk every time they go out, or embarrasses him in front of other people. Adam apologizes for CT's behavior to a group of people standing nearby.

Ace, Adam, and CT start walking home. Adam tells CT that he could have walked away. CT tells Adam not to be such a pussy all the time, and that the kid was in his face the whole night. CT won't drop it, and keeps calling Adam a pussy. I don't know why Adam thought it would be possible to have a reasonable conversation with CT at this point. CT yells, "You'd walk away from the Iraqi war if you had your choice." Huh? Adam's face looks like I feel, which is basically, "The fuck?" Adam tells CT that it's okay if he wants to fight over something important. CT uses his size to try to intimidate Adam by pushing him around with his chest and telling Adam that he shouldn't act like he ever has CT's back. CT starts screaming that he will work Adam. Adam tries to talk, and CT suddenly shoves Adam really hard right out of the camera frame and out into the street. Adam slowly walks back onto the sidewalk, and CT shoves him back into the street. Ace finally walks over and nudges Adam along as they all cross the street, with CT walking behind swearing and yelling at Adam. CT reaches over Ace and shoves Adam again. Ace turns and tells CT to cut it out. In an interview, Adam says that nothing bothers him as much as the word "coward." CT says he's tired of Adam acting like his friend to his face and then talking shit behind his back. Ace tries to placate CT. Ace says that CT has felt this way for a long time. Ace puts CT in a cab and sends him home. Adam and Ace walk home separately. Since CT was violent towards a roommate, I'm sure he's going to get sent home now, right? If Brynn nearly got sent home for throwing a fork, that shove is enough to get CT sent home, right?

CT arrives home and voice-overs that he hates the house. He walks inside and up to his bedroom, which he shares with Adam. Somehow, Adam beat him home, and is already in bed. CT makes no effort to be quiet as he walks into the room. I have to say that if I were Adam, I wouldn't feel safe right now. CT interviews that he thinks Adam is a coward and two-faced, and that he's trying to keep his temper so he doesn't "lay an ass-kicking on [Adam]." CT gets into bed, and neither he nor Adam says a word. I define a coward as someone unwilling to stand up for what he or she believes in, not someone willing to submit to a beating for no apparent reason. I guess that's where CT and I differ. Also, when is the meeting with the producers to tell CT he's going home?

Eiffel Tower Shot Quarante-Trois. CT runs into Adam while walking out of the room, and shoots him a look of disgust. CT interviews that he remembers Adam saying that they all needed to stick together, and that when things happen, Adam's not there. In a confessional, Adam says that he does care about his relationship with CT, but that he's not wrong here. CT talks to his friend Jay on the phone and explains that he got in a fight with the guy because he was trying to buy a drink and the guy was crowding the bar. Adam complains to Mallory that CT didn't know what he was fighting about and just wanted to fight. Adam claims he would only "throw down" over something important. Adam should never say the phrase "throw down" again. CT tells Jay that Adam is a coward. Adam tells Ace that CT isn't that bright, and complains that Adam talks behind his back when CT is always talking about the girls behind their backs. CT tells Jay that he's tired of Adam's acting like they are friends. Mallory complains that CT likes to play the victim, and that gets Adam going on how CT has a "whipping-boy mentality." CT complains to Jay that Adam always disappears when the shit hits the fan. Adam complains that CT always thinks everyone is picking on him. CT tells Jay that he doesn't know if Adam is worth going home for. So he is getting sent home. Isn't he?

CT and Adam are in the kitchen. Adam sighs and says that people have been telling him he should get an apology. What people? Adam, own up to it and ask for an apology, because that is horseshit. CT says that he won't apologize, because he meant what he said. CT says he's staying to see Jamie and his cousin, and then he might go home early; he adds that he doesn't want to be Adam's friend. CT continues to babble that Adam is getting him all excited (ew!) and shouldn't act like a tough guy. CT says that when his people leave, he might beat Adam up, because he has nothing to lose. Adam says that CT tries to solve every situation with his fists. CT says that they don't like each other and should just leave it at that. Adam tries to keep talking, but CT is finished with the discussion, so he just starts screaming.

And now it's time for the Most Awesome Thing I Saw on TV Last Week. The most awesome thing I saw on TV last week was a new show on the USA Network called House Wars. It features four families, each of which moves into a new house in a development in Arizona. Each family is also teamed up with a designer, and each week, they have to decorate one room in the house. The rooms are then judged, and at the end of the season, the team with the most points wins their house. It sounds pretty basic, but the producers obviously made an effort to put each team with the designer that would cause the most conflict. This week, the teams had to work on the master bathroom, which included installing the toilets, sinks, showers, and flooring. The first team got pissed off at their super-flaky designer, and one woman called the designer a bitch about three times. Which was awesome, since the designer is so self-absorbed that she couldn't figure out why her team was pissed. The second team got a designer who clearly doesn't want to do any work, because she disappeared once the challenge was announced, and only showed up again at the very end, when she informed her team that she had just spent $600 on fabric, which put them over budget. In addition, her team only had a few hours left, and they hadn't even installed the tub at that point. The third team is all youngish women who have never done home stuff before, and so their designer ends up doing most of the work while they have paint fights. And the third team is a dad and his hottie triplet daughters. Their designer is a total diva named "Barclay" who actually slammed one triplet's arm in his car door "accidentally" when they got in a fight. So far all of the conflict has been between teams and their designers, but since each team consists of family members, I'm sure they will start arguing soon. And it will be awesome.

CT and Leah (!) walk down the street together. CT explains that when he fought with Adam, he was drunk and frustrated. Leah says she understands that he expected his roommates to have his back, but that not everyone works like that. CT interviews that he wishes he could take back the times he attacked Adam and picked on him. He could sort of take it back by apologizing. CT wants to show Leah a spot where he wants to take Jamie, and we get Eiffel Tower Shot Quarante-Quatre. CT says he'd be in a lot of trouble if it weren't for Jamie. CT interviews that he can't wait for Jamie to come to see if there are still sparks between them. CT and Leah stand on a bridge, and I guess it's a romantic spot, but it's Paris, so I would guess there are a lot of romantic spots.

CT blows up balloons to decorate the house for Jamie's arrival. CT interviews that Jamie's birthday isn't until month, but that he won't be there for it, so he's going to celebrate it with her while she's in Paris. CT explains his plan to Ace, who is excited for CT to see someone from home, and thinks it will be good for CT.

CT -- wearing a giant cowboy hat, for some reason -- asks Ace if he'll help out with CT's plans for Jamie's arrival. CT plans to call when they get off the train, and Ace will get up and light some candles. Then, when they get to the house, CT will direct Jamie to the kitchen, where everyone will sing happy birthday. It's actually kind of sweet that CT has this whole thing planned out. Ace asks if everyone is going to get up for this, and CT says it's the girls and Ace.

CT waits for Jamie at the airport. Jamie's plane arrives at 8:58 AM. CT hides behind a pillar, and when he sees Jamie, he pops out and gives her a big hug. Jamie is wearing a quilt wrapped around her waist and pretending it's a skirt. CT picks Jamie up and swings her around happily. CT interviews that Jamie is the best thing that happened to him. CT says hello to Jamie's friend Wendy.

Back at the house, everyone is still asleep, and no candles are lit. At the airport, CT brings up Jamie's birthday and how fun it was, and how he wants to top it this year. Jamie says they'll have to do it year. In a confessional, CT says he's setting Jamie up for this and she doesn't know.

Now it's 10:17 AM. CT and his guests are on the train to the house. Jamie sits on CT's lap and he tells her that he wants to buy her some earrings. They really are kind of cute together. At 10:48 AM, Simon asks if CT is getting back at 11:00 AM. Leah croakily says that they're all supposed to be downstairs to sing. Christina says she doesn't want to do anything.

CT and his guests walk toward the house. Christina looks out the window and sees them coming, so she tells Leah, who claims that it's not her problem. Christina runs down the stairs in her purple pajamas and complains that she looks like Barney. Hee! The roommates all make it into the kitchen (including Adam and Simon) and sing to Jamie as CT brings her in. Did CT ever call like he said he was going to? I don't know. Adam interviews that CT now reminds him of the guy he met when they arrived. Leah interviews that she's impressed at the lengths CT will go to in order to make Jamie's visit important.

CT and Jamie are in the kitchen. Adam interviews that he's not sure who owes an apology to whom, but that there are definitely unresolved issues. CT pulls Adam aside and says that he never wanted to hurt him. Adam says he knows, and that they can talk about it later, and then offers to write the article CT is supposed to do. Aw. That's really kind. Adam interviews that he'd like to help out if he can. CT offers to pay him, and Adam refuses payment. CT interviews that Adam is a nice guy, and that he feels bad about cutting him down. CT gives Adam the details of the assignment, and Adam promises to finish it that day. CT is psyched.

CT and Jamie lie in bed together. CT says he's a nice guy, and Jamie agrees. CT interviews that Jamie is important, and that he wants to make her visit special. He thinks Jamie is his best friend, and he knows she loves him. That's sweet and all, but I still think it's bullshit that CT didn't even get a warning for his violent behavior against a roommate.

time: CT wants to spend time with Jamie. Christina tells CT that she doesn't like being with him when he's drunk. Jamie gets mad at CT about something, and they scream at each other on the phone.
