Previously on The Real World: I don't want to alarm anyone, but apparently there's a guy living in the house named Mohammed. He's got a girlfriend named Stephanie. He likes her, but he thinks dating her is "hard." There's another roommate we hear more about. His name is Pedro. Pedro isn't feeling too good these days.
Cory wears a headband and feels Pedro's face. She says he's warm. He says he's been out in the sun. He takes his temperature. Cory and Pedro can't figure out how to read a thermometer. Cory tells us that Pedro might get sick while he lives in the house. She says that she doesn't know what to do about how much she worries about him. She says that she babies him. Pedro says that he'd rather be alone. He says he can't do that to the people who care about him. Cory and Pedro still can't figure out how to read a thermometer, so they call Judd. Luckily, Pam comes home at that moment. Pedro shouts out the window that he's having sex with Cory and taking his temperature at the same time and could use some help. Cory giggles. She tells us that Pedro doesn't want her sympathy.
Mohammed tells us that he has a lot of respect for Pedro. He thinks that Pedro has a good heart. "So he's a very good-hearted person," he concludes. Mo tells us that he isn't sleeping very well. We see him asleep on a bus. Mo's at school. Wait. How can they just introduce us to Mohammed's life here in Episode 16? Then we see him at "work." Mohammed is either a makeup artist, or he works at The Body Shop. I can't tell from the camera angle, but he's putting makeup on some woman.
Cut to a strange shot of Mo in his girlfriend Stephanie's bedroom. She moves a stuffed animal off the bed while he's on the phone. She's in pajamas. He's not. He tells us they've been seeing each other for six months. She's a ballerina. He met her at his father's club. Mo reads Stephanie some of his...poetry? Music? I don't know. He says she wants too much of his time. He thinks she pressures him. He says he loves her, but he doesn't know where their relationship is going to go.
Pedro is at an audition for an interactive show about sexuality. They ask him to read for a heterosexual part, and Pedro jokes that he can't do that. They take him seriously and then he explains that he spent fifteen years being heterosexual, and he's pretty sure he can do it some more. We watch Pedro audition for the camera. Judd tells us that Pedro's been pushing himself, working long hours.
Pedro's in a group, talking about being HIV-positive. He says it's difficult to focus on the fact that he's getting sick. He says he works as hard as he does so that he doesn't have to think about his health.
Back at the house, Cory hovers over Pedro and then eventually says she's going to bed. A relieved Pedro says goodnight. He says that he likes having too many things on his plate. Pam whispers to him that it's late and he should go to bed. She tells us that Cory is worried about him. She says that it's hard for Pam to sit down with Pedro because she's scared he's going to die. While he's talking to her? Whatever. Pam tells Pedro that she's going to sleep. Everyone deals with Pedro by hovering, bossing, and abandoning. Pedro seems to be just fine with that. Commercial.
Cory tells Pedro that it's not healthy to work all the time. Pedro says that he hasn't found that balance yet. He says that his life is always uncertain. He says that he'll find the balance before he dies. He tells us that he knows he needs to slow down. He says he stayed in a whole day last Friday, and that he needed to be reminded that it's okay for him to be lazy every once in a while.
Rachel tells us that she doesn't think about Pedro getting sick or dying. Pedro says that Rachel is an "issue-oriented" person, and that he likes sitting and talking with her about nothing, like boys and stuff. Rachel, Sean, and Pedro joke about boys and boyfriends. Rachel says that Sean is a very attractive man. She thinks that his relationship with Pedro is going very well. She jokes with Pedro that if he stopped "necking" with Sean in the kitchen, he wouldn't run a fever so often. Sean wants more time with Pedro. Alone time. "Quality time." Rachel says that she likes hanging out with them.
Horrible music plays until Jo runs over to Mohammed to console him. He broke up with Stephanie. We see a montage of breaking up, but we don't hear anything. He tells us it was hard. Jo and Mo only wear t-shirts, and they're wearing the same shirt. I'll just leave that alone. We see awkward shots of Stephanie and Mohammed breaking up. He's all breaking up with her while Cory walks by. What is wrong with that girl that she's always in the wrong place at the wrong time? Mohammed says that they went through this for three days of crying and stuff. I don't know why we only see the same thirty seconds of the breakup, without a speck of tears, but whatever. This is reality television. Don't expect real emotion. Mohammed asks Stephanie to page him when she gets home so that he knows she's okay. She says she doesn't want to talk to him anymore. He asks again. She tells him she'll be okay. She leaves.
Pedro isn't feeling well. Pam tells us that he's sicker than he has been. He's exhausted and got sick in Miami. We get a flashback of Pedro sick in Miami. Judd tells us that Pedro's been worse since he got back from Miami. Pedro says that he's been feverish for the past couple of weeks, and that he's not sweating. Judd says he's been denying that Pedro is sick, and he thinks he shouldn't deny it anymore. Judd's so beautiful. Pedro says it's hard to run out of breath because it reminds him that he's sick.

Cory's ass is always on the kitchen counter. That's so gross. Pedro's trying to eat on the counter, preparing food to her dirty ass. He's sick, Cory. Pedro coughs, and Sean feels his forehead. He says that Pedro's warmer than usual. Pedro says that Sean takes good care of him and is always on top of his medications. He says it's nice to be with someone that he knows will take care of him.
Dinner. Everyone talks at once while they eat lasagna. Someone asks where Pedro is. He's at Sean's, resting. They make Mother's Day cards, and says they'll make one for Pedro later. Sean calls to say that Pedro's temperature is 104. The doctor suggests they go to the emergency room. I don't know why they asked Judd for confirmation, but they do, and Judd says they should go. So they do.
Judd cries on the porch and tells us that he's very close with Pedro and doesn't want him to die. He's very sad and scared and doesn't know what he can do about Pedro dying. Pedro enters the hospital as we go to commercial.
Pedro and Sean hold each other. Pedro was worried he'd have to stay overnight if he was admitted.
Back at the house, Cory warbles that life is so precious, and that life is short. Rachel thinks that Pedro is so alive that it's hard to believe he's sick. Cory says that last night she realized Pedro's really sick. "That is such a heavy burden to be carrying around every day," she says. She thinks it's sad that Sean knows his boyfriend is going to die.
Sean and Pedro walk out of the hospital. It's raining. Pedro says that he's lucky because it could have been worse. He's on antibiotics for twenty-one days. Cory welcomes Pedro home. So does Pam. Pedro says that everyone was walking on eggshells with him. Pedro explains the painful procedures he had to go through. He complains about having to tell the same story over and over for two days. Pam teaches people how to read a thermometer. Sean threatens to give Pedro the thermometer anally.
Montage of Mo and Stephanie for no reason at all. Mo says he cried last night talking to Stephanie on the phone, and that he hadn't cried in nine years. He tells Judd that he just talked to her about everything that had been going on.
Cut to Mo with a new girl: Sadie. She's an old friend. Now he's hooking up with her because he's "free from Stephanie." They are immediately in bed. "It felt cool and then it didn't feel cool," Mo explains. He then calls Stephanie and tells her about it. What? Why? Then he tells Judd that Stephanie would have been upset if he had slept with Sadie, but he didn't sleep with her. Well, they slept in the same bed and probably fooled around, right? I'm sure he didn't tell Stephanie that. Did he forget they taped it for MTV? Mo says he might "do something" with Stephanie later that week.

Cut to Mo and Stephanie on a blanket looking over the city, thumb-wrestling as a pennywhistle plays in the background. No shit. This show is so dumb. They play more grab-ass and smacking games until they're back together in love. Mo says he's going to work on his relationship with Stephanie for now. He then carves their initials into a tree, while wearing a PETA t-shirt.
Judd says that Pedro's been gaining weight and looks better. Everyone has decided to go horseback riding as a group. The stable owner explains that horses die at different ages, and that not every horse lives to be a hundred. Judd then explains that some people get sick and never get better, and some get sick and then get better. Pedro sings "You Are My Sunshine." The girls chime in. The horses roll their eyes. Wow. The show's already over? Did anything happen? Did any of you see something happen?
time, the kids find out they're going to Maui. Aloha and aloha. Rachel admits that she likes to pee in her wetsuit.
Back at the stable, Rachel and Pedro flirt at a water fountain. Pedro grabs Rachel's boobies and she punches the hell out of him. He's sick, girl. Watch it. Rachel teases that people are going to think he's in love with her. "Of course," he says back. Of course. Everyone loves Rachel, don't they?
