Adam and family prepare to participate in the Autism Walk, all wearing fancy new sneakers provided by Adam's company. The only problem is that Max thinks they're just doing it as a good deed, because no one told him that he's on the spectrum. Adam and Christine debate telling him, and Christine talks to his doctor, but ultimately they decide to wait. Bet that's not going to blow up in their faces in a future episode. Oh, and they totally win the walk!

But that's no thanks to Sarah and her family. Haddie and Amber get into a fistfight at school which results in Haddie blurting out to their respective parents that Amber slept with Steve, even though Amber says she'll stay away from Steve now. Sarah takes Amber's side, Christine takes Haddie's side, and Adam tries to stay neutral. Haddie's friends torture Amber at school, even painting "Whore" on her locker. Haddie starts to feel bad for her cousin and goes to talk to her, where she walks in on Amber and Steve kissing. Oops.

Julia gets a useless storyline that, based on episode descriptions, was actually supposed to be in week's episode. She joins the Angel Network at her kid's school, which provides meals and comfort to parents in need. Julia brings store-bought soup to a woman who is recovering from breast implant surgery, and they both judge each other. Eventually, Julia confesses that her parents are splitting up, and Boobs McGee confesses that her husband left her for a younger woman, and they bond.

Crosby learns that Jasmine is auditioning for the Alvin Ailey Dance Company. Isn't she a little old? Anyway, he also learns that the Alvin Ailey Dance Company is in New York, so if Jasmine gets in, she's moving and probably taking the kid with her.

And finally, the Braverman kids continue to meddle in their parents' marriage. Sarah tells Adam that their mom slept with her art teacher, and Adam immediately tells Zeek. Again, I'm going to bet that's going to blow up in their faces. Sarah and Adam are both terrible at keeping secrets.

Adam is driving Max around the sneaker warehouse in a forklift. As they pass through the aisles, Max notices that the sizes aren't ordered properly -- there are 13s mixed in with the 8s, and suchlike. Adam says it's "human error," but I smell a summer job for Max. Don't you think he'd be deliriously happy to put everything in the right place? Max asks why people don't just come to the warehouse to buy their sneakers, and Adam says that people like to have a choice between brands. So Braverman Shoes is a brand? This is the smallest warehouse ever. Are they like a boutique shoe? It's probably best not to ask too many questions.

Speaking of asking questions, Max has a bunch more, but Adam cuts him off to show him their latest sneaker model. It features a built-in pedometer and an SD card that tracks how many steps you take. Max points out that they can use these shoes to track their steps for the Autism Walk on Sunday, and log the most miles, and win. I'm really unclear on how this whole Autism Walk works -- they get to track their mileage all week? And there's a winner? But no one over reports their mileage? Because it's for charity? And people are inherently good? Anyway, Adam clearly had that in mind when he showed Max the sneaker, but because he is sometimes a good dad, he lets Max think he came up with the idea on his own.

Cut to a Braverman family meeting (are these a daily occurrence or what?) where Adam is handing out free sneakers to everyone and explaining how they can track your mileage. Everyone has a snarky comment; Sarah wonders why she has to wear pink (which Kristina picked out) and Crosby points out that Nike had this technology five years ago. Adam is a bigger person than I am -- I would snatch all the sneakers back when people started complaining and tell them to buy their own damn shoes. As Adam makes his presentation to the family, Max continues to pace back and forth, building up his mileage. This is a theme of the episode. Adam explains that he is giving away these shoes to everyone participating in the fundraiser for tracking purposes. Is Adam's company unaffected by the economy? How can they afford to give shoes away to everyone? I guess I don't want this show to turn into Brothers & Sisters, which is all about the business side of things now, but I do still have questions. As Adam finishes, Max (overstimulated) screams out that the winner gets a trophy, and finishes up his Gipper-style pep talk by yelling, "Let's walk for those kids with autism!" Everyone is kind of taken aback, but they applaud anyway. Crosby turns to Julia and whispers, "He doesn't know?" and Julia replies, "I guess not." AWKWARD. Kristina and Adam exchange a look like, "How exactly are we supposed to handle this?" but everyone continues cheering.

Amber is living my high school nightmare, running on the track. Well, she's actually walking on the track and looking really winded. I remember doing the twelve-minute run in high school and everyone else would be sprinting around and meanwhile I had a stitch in my side and wanted to die. So Amber, I feel you. She spots Haddie and three friends wearing their soccer uniforms and walking across the infield. Why are they going to a soccer game while Amber is in gym class? I don't know. Couldn't they have just been in her gym class too? Anyway, Amber walks toward them for some unknown reason, looking wary, and Haddie tells her friends to just keep walking. Except one of them spits out, "Bitch," as they walk by. Amber turns and gets into it with them. After insulting her choice of gym apparel, one of them just comes out with it: "How could you sleep with your cousin's boyfriend?" Well, he wasn't technically her boyfriend at the time, although I think Friends has taught us that "We were on a break" doesn't usually fly as an excuse. Anyway, the girls all start talking over one another but basically Amber says she'd like to talk about it with Haddie privately, but Haddie says that these are her friends, the ones who didn't sleep with her boyfriend. Amber finally yells it out, "I'm sorry, but I had a connection with him that you didn't have. I'm sorry! I'm sorry, but that's the way that it is." Haddie looks humiliated, realizing that Amber's totally right. But then one of Haddie's friends douses Amber with the contents of her water bottle, and it degenerates into a scuffle with Amber and Haddie rolling around on the ground. A coach breaks it up and escorts the girls to the office, Amber furious, Haddie sobbing. Can I ask why no one is blaming Steve in all this?

Adam, Kristina, and Sarah are in the principal's office. The principal explains that he likes both girls, and normally they would suspend them for fighting, but he can let them go with a promise that it won't happen again. Because they're related? I don't know. After promising, the parents all leave with the girls but once they're out in the hallway, Sarah says that she wants to hash it out right now, while they're all there, so there are no future misunderstandings. Amber starts begging Haddie not to tell the parents what happened while everyone talks over one another and finally Adam yells at them all to shut up. He asks Haddie to explain. Haddie looks terrified but also sort of excited to get retribution and unsure of how to handle it. She says, "Amber told me to break up with Steve (cue Amber looking shocked at this oversimplification) and then she had sex with him." Everyone starts yelling again. Adam's reaction face is awesome, actually. Shocked, indignant, but maybe a little bit amused. Haddie takes off one way and Amber takes off the other. Kristina seems pissed at Amber, and Sarah by extension as she chases her daughter. Adam and Sarah are left alone in the hallway. Sarah tries to apologize and Adam decides that they need to be the adults in this situation, whatever that means. Then Amber yells at Sarah to come on, and Kristina comes back for Adam, furious, so this isn't good.

Crosby lies in bed as Jasmine enters the room and announces that Jabbar is asleep. As a new parent, I now understand what an exciting moment that is. The kids are asleep, for a few hours or the night, and you get to be a grown-up for a while. Good times. Anyway, Crosby tells Jasmine he was about to die from loneliness and she hops into bed. They giggle and make out a little, and then he tells her he wants to try something new, which frankly looks like garden-variety oral sex. Except for the part where Jasmine hurts her back and Jabbar runs in, wondering what happened and why his mommy is hurt. Crosby leaves to get ice and assure Jabbar that his mom is okay as Jasmine worries about her dance audition on Friday.

Julia visits HQ to get her mother's secret chicken soup recipe. Julia explains that she joined the Angel Committee at her daughter's school, and when a parent has an injury or illness, they provide food or whatever is needed. Camille thinks this is great, and wonders what made Julia sign up for that. She sounds surprised, like Julia wouldn't do something like that just out of the kindness of her heart and there must be another angle. Julia acts all offended but then laughs and admits that Joel signed her up. I really need them to explore this Julia/Joel relationship more. Because she claims to work like a million hours a week, and yet she always seems to have time for the two hundred family obligations each month, and to be a soccer coach, and to go to swim lessons, and to be in the Angel Committee. So which is it? Is she a workaholic or does she barely work? Anyway, Julia awkwardly changes the subject, asking if Camille has talked to Zeek lately. Camille doesn't answer but instead starts rummaging through the cupboards to find a soup pot, before telling Julia that this is up to Camille and Zeek to fix, if it can be fixed, and the rest of them need to stop pressuring her. I can see Camille's point; as someone who has been covering for her husband all this time, it must be tempting to just take him back and pretend everything's fine for the sake of the kids. Instead, she's trying to do what SHE wants. Julia claims to understand, but then asks if Zeek will move back in soon. Camille says he won't, and Julia finally shuts up.

Adam and Zeek are walking, trying out the new sneakers. Zeek somehow knows that Camille's art teacher was at the house last night (stalking?) and wants Adam to find out more about him. Adam keeps trying to change the subject and get Zeek's opinion on the sneakers. Zeek kind of hilarious starts walking backwards and asks if that will reduce the mileage. No, Ferris Bueller, it doesn't work that way.

Kristina visits Max's doctor (who I can't help but think of as Dr. Abbott from Everwood) to talk to him about how they haven't exactly told Max that he's on the spectrum yet. The doctor assures her that there's no hard answer about telling kids, and it's probably good that they haven't burdened Max with it yet, because he might not be able to process it. Kristina struggles to ask how kids start to notice that they are different. The doctor says that as Max gets older, things like sleepovers or summer camp will be difficult, but not impossible, and Kristina will know when it's time to talk to Max, because he'll tell her. Kristina looks dumbfounded at the enormity of what's going on with Max, and overwhelmed by all of the things that she hasn't even thought about yet.

At school, Amber walks up to her locker and sees that someone has painted WHORE on it with red paint. She looks like she might cry, but then Drew comes up and sees it too. He asks if he should get some paint and Amber visibly pulls herself together and then says that they'll just leave it up, adding loudly, "Screw 'em all." Amber's kind of my hero. I certainly did not have that level of courage at her age. Then again, I didn't need to. She begs Drew not to tell their mother, and he agrees, but looks worried as she walks off.

And it turns out Drew really is a Braverman, as he keeps a secret as well as the rest of his family. Because in the scene, Sarah is showing a photo of Amber's locker to Adam and Kristina, and explains that Drew took the picture. They all commiserate, until it comes out that Sarah assumes that Haddie did the paintjob. Adam and Kristina are sure that Haddie had nothing to do with it. Sarah tries to give her reasoning, and says that she's worried about Amber's reputation at a new school, and Adam starts to promise that they'll talk to Haddie, although reiterates that he's sure she didn't do it. Kristina stops everyone and says kind of angrily that they all seem to be forgetting that Amber slept with Steve. Sarah starts to get angry too, and says that Amber apologized. This leads to Sarah and Kristina yelling over one another. Kristina's point seems to be that you can't just do whatever you want and apologize and everything's okay (valid) and Sarah's seems to be that Haddie isn't perfect either and everything's not always all Amber's fault (not that valid, sorry). Adam finally yells at everyone to shut up (he does that a lot) but these two don't listen. Sarah screeches, "Please imagine if somebody wrote whore on Haddie's locker!" and Kristina says quietly, "It wouldn't happen because she's not." OH NO SHE DID NOT JUST SAY THAT! That's basically Sarah's reaction, but finally Adam gets them to shut up and promises that they will talk to Haddie, and Sarah says that's all she wanted. She and Kristina say they're sorry, but it's not clear what they're sorry for, and neither of them seems all that sorry anyway.

The morning (presumably), Adam and Crosby are eating lunch at their regular diner. Crosby is wondering aloud who would win if Kristina and Sarah did actually fight each other. I think of all the Bravermans, Crosby is the one I would most like to hang out with, even though he's an idiot. He's funny. Adam says that what he's taken away from the whole debacle is that Haddie didn't have sex, and that she didn't have sex with Steve the Asshole. So Adam's happy and he hopes the whole thing will blow over (good luck with that) so they can focus on the Walk for Autism.

Sitting in her van, Julia surreptitiously pours a few containers of store-bought soup into Camille's soup pot. She walks into Jonah's mom's house (played by Michaela Watkins, formerly of SNL). It seems Jonah's mom is recovering from surgery and is really grateful to get some soup. Julia, trying to make conversation, asks what kind of surgery she had. Michaela perkily says, "I got new boobs! Boobs!" and then forces Julia to feel them. Julia is trying real hard not to look judgmental, but she's failing as she says weakly, "Congratulations!"

Max and Adam are walking, trying to rack up miles on their sneakers. They run into the Lessings (who's watching their kid?) who are doing the same. The Lessings continue to walk in place while Mr. Lessing kind of taunts Max about how they are going to win the trophy. That's not nice, dude. I was sure this scene was going to be where Max found out from someone else that he's got Aspberger's, but they didn't go there. And I'm never going to complain about an appearance from the Lessings because I still love Amanda Foreman (Mrs. Lessing) from when she played Megan on Felicity.

Crosby has returned from visiting Chinatown to get some magical potion that Jasmine's doctor has put together, though Crosby expresses doubt that it will work. Especially when he pulls out the bag and discovers that there are seahorses in it. Jasmine tells him to zip it and make the tea, but Crosby continues to grouse about it. But he does make her the tea.

Sarah sits with Amber on the steps at HQ and asks what happened. Amber says that Sarah already knows, but Sarah says she wants to hear Amber's side of things. Amber finally breaks down, knowing that someone is actually on her side, and cries that she feels like there must be something wrong with her because she did the worst thing she could possibly do. Sarah's heart is breaking, probably because she has made similar mistakes in the past too. And yet, Amber continues, it also sucks because she really likes Steve, and it wasn't like she just slept with him for no reason. Sarah looks almost relieved that her daughter isn't just sleeping with random guys, or even sleeping with her cousin's boyfriend, for no reason. Amber apologizes for messing everything up, and Sarah assures her that there's nothing wrong with her and it's okay. Even though her face shows that it's probably not, because it is a mess, and there's no easy way out.

Julia comes home and Joel immediately ambushes her with the news that all of the parents at school are talking about how she gave Boobs McGee attitude and also fake soup, when she requested only homemade goods. Because when people are volunteering to help you, it just makes sense to put out criteria about what kind of help you will or will not accept. Julia denies it, and complains that she took three hours off work to take care of someone who had a boob job. Apparently, there was a receipt floating in it. Julia realizes that she's busted and she and Joel both start laughing. Joel says that he got a lot of icy stares when he picked Syd up from school, and asks Julia to make it better. At least he recognizes how absurd the whole thing is, and Julia agrees to do it, for him, not for Boobs McGee.

Crosby brings Jasmine breakfast in bed, and shows her an article he found in the newspaper about the Alvin Ailey dance troupe, the one Jasmine is auditioning for. Isn't Jasmine a little...old to be still trying to make it as a professional dancer? Anyway, Crosby was surprised to find out that the troupe is in New York. Jasmine looks busted but then says that everyone knows that. Crosby wonders if maybe this is something they should have discussed beforehand, since it would mean Jasmine and Jabbar would move across the country. Jasmine assures him that she's not going to get the job, and Crosby wants to talk about what would happen if she did. Jasmine refuses, since she's sure she's not going to get it, and distracts Crosby by asking for a foot massage. You guys, do you think she might get it and Crosby will have to make a decision? I think that might happen. Because I've watched television before.

Julia returns to the scene of the crime as Boobs taste-tests the soup like she's a judge on Top Chef, and announces that it tastes homemade. Julia, over it, says that she heard Boobs complained to the school about it. Boobs is like, "I have to be really careful about processed foods since my surgery." Yes, because she had those all-natural organic breast implants put in. Julia, now REALLY over it, points out that it was elective surgery, and that Boobs has some nerve asking for help from the school because she wanted bigger breasts. Boobs says that she knew Julia had an attitude, and she's prejudiced against small-breasted women. Julia can't believe what she's hearing, so she says she has to go, because she has a real crisis at home to deal with, and then blurts out that her parents are splitting up. Boobs suddenly softens and Julia realizes that slipped out, but it seems to thaw things between them. Boobs asks if Julia's dad had an affair, and Julia says no (she doesn't know, right?). Boobs says that her husband left her for a younger woman, which is part of the reason she got new boobs, and she's really struggling with how to put herself out there again. She concludes, "Imagine what it's gotta be like for you mom." And Julia learns a lesson.

Max is running up and down the stairs while he waits for the rest of the family to go out for a walk. Adam goes into the kitchen and Kristina tells him about her visit with the doctor, and how he said they'd know when it's time to talk to Max. Um, isn't Max like a few feet away? I think you just talked to him. Apparently, Max has bad hearing, because he doesn't hear this conversation. Adam and Kristina agree that the doctor's words aren't that comforting, because they don't feel like they will know when the time is right. Max appears and harangues his parents into going out, since he wants to beat the Lessings. Whatever happened to Max dressing like a pirate all the time?

Amber walks through the outdoor lunchroom at school. When she passes by Haddie's table, one of Haddie's friends calls her a ho, so Amber slams her lunch tray down on a nearby table and walks out. Haddie asks her friend, "What are you doing?" As Amber wanders off, Steve sees her walk by and chases after her. Meanwhile, Haddie is telling her friends to cut the shit, because their fun little game is causing her problems at home.

Meanwhile, Steve has caught up to Amber, who is sitting alone on a wall somewhere. He asks if she's okay, and she says that she's really not, and that she can't even exist at the school anymore without getting harassed. Steve apologizes, and says that he feels responsible, so at least he's not a complete jerk. Amber tells him that it's fine, because she knows that she deserves the treatment she's getting. Steve takes her hand and says that she doesn't, and that he'll do anything to fix the situation. Amber softens a bit, and then he says that he's been thinking about her every second. Amber, so starved for positive male attention, just melts and offers no resistance when Steve kisses her. Cue Haddie, of course, walking around searching for Amber, and instead, unseen by either of them, spots Steve and Amber kissing. She makes kind of a WTF gesture and walks off, crying. Well, shit.

Adam, driving somewhere, calls Sarah to double check that he told his dad the truth, and that their mom isn't involved with her art teacher. Sarah says that Camille said she's not seeing the guy. Adam's satisfied with that, but Sarah is a Braverman so she has to tell everything she knows, and blurts out that Camille slept with the guy once. Adam is stunned, but he's also pulling up to pick up his father (where is he staying now?) so he has to go. Cut to Adam, Zeek, and Zeek's horrible haircut jogging up a hill until Zeek collapses on a nearby lawn. Adam is concerned for his father's health (and probably hair), but it turns out that Zeek is just worried that Camille is slipping away from him, and he doesn't know what's going on with this art teacher, and it's driving him crazy. Adam, being a Braverman, has to immediately blurt out that Camille slept with the guy once and now it's apparently over. Zeek takes it surprisingly well and says that at least he knows, and he's glad that Adam was honest. Adam sits down to his dad and says, "A wise man once told me that we always have to forgive each other and not get hung up on the past." Zeek considers that, and then says that Adam is a hero because he fixes everybody. Adam denies it at first, and then worries that it means he's a meddler. Zeek allows, "Well, it's bordering on meddling." Aw, father-son bonding. And insults.

Jasmine's dance audition. For some reason, she brought Crosby and Jabbar with her. Did anyone else bring their son and estranged baby daddy? I don't think so. Poor form, Jasmine. Anyway, she's nervous but Crosby is supportive. As Jasmine takes her spot on the floor, Crosby tells Jabbar that he thinks she's going to get the part. Sadly.

At Adam's house, Haddie is shut in her bedroom, wallowing and listening to loud depressing music. Max is pacing the hallway outside her room, upping his miles. Kristina and Adam start knocking on Haddie's door, begging to come in. Jeez, let a teenage girl have her wallow. It's what they do! Max tells them that Haddie was crying, because he was listening at her door. As Adam and Kristina keep walking, Max just barges in and tells Haddie that they have to keep walking. Adam and Kristina toss Max out but are a little glad they had an excuse to barge into the bedroom. Kristina turns off the music ("Neil Diamond or whatever") and Adam tells Haddie to stop wallowing and go for a walk with them. They clearly have no experience with brokenhearted teen girls. She needs to listen to bad music, write some bad poetry, and eat some bad food. Not healthy things!

Haddie tells them that she's not doing the Autism Walk the day if Amber's going to be there. Kristina says that Adam and Max have worked really hard on the event, so Haddie has to go support them. Haddie decides to drop the bomb: "Amber's a liar, okay? I saw her kissing Steve at school." Adam (confused): "What?" Kristina (will cut a bitch): "What?" That was perfect by those two. Perfect dad and mom differing reactions to that news. Kristina immediately says that Haddie can stay home. Adam disagrees, and asks Haddie to rise above all this and go anyway. Kristina takes Haddie's side and Adam (kind of hilariously) starts talking about how one day one of them will be gone and they will regret that they didn't spend every moment together (what?). Kristina pulls Adam outside and asks who's going to call Sarah and tell her that Amber can't go. Adam says he won't do that to his family, and Kristina points out that they are his family. Seriously. Cut the strings, Adam. Anyway, Adam says that he's overruling her and everyone is going, and Kristina angrily says that he can tell his daughter that, and they'll be "one big happy freaking family." She stomps off as Adam goes back inside.

Adam sits on her bed and tells Haddie that he knows this is hard for her. Haddie asks why he isn't on her side, and he says that he is. He admits that he spoke with Kristina and they agreed that Adam gets to make the call. But he thinks he is doing Haddie a favor by asking her to go, because it's easy to wallow but it's hard to rise above. He tells her it's not about her or Amber; it's about Max. I am surprised Haddie doesn't give him some shit about how it's always about Max, because it kind of is, especially in the earlier episodes. And yet, Adam tells her he won't force her to go but he's asking her to do it for him. Guilt trip! It works, and Haddie agrees to go. That was semi-good parenting -- a little guilt trippy there at the end but it's nice to see someone call a teenager on her typically self-centered world view.

It's the morning of the Autism Walk, and Sarah is trying to rally her segment of Team Braverman at HQ. She's wearing her red Team Braverman shirt and yelling at everyone to come on. Except Amber says she's not going. And when Drew hears that Amber's not going, he says he's not going either. Sarah ain't having it, and just carries on like she didn't hear what they said. When her kids won't listen, Sarah throws a little temper tantrum complete with foot stomping, as everyone continues to talk over one another. Finally, Camille walks in the room and overrules Sarah, saying that they're all staying home. She gives the following advice: "Sometimes being the perfect parent just isn't worth the blood on the floor. And I don't feel like dealing with your father anyway. So." Sarah looks stricken, like probably Camille was always the family cheerleader and now she seems to have given up. Camille promises to call Adam, and also make waffles. Not that Amber and Drew needed any convincing, but they're in. Sarah stands there for a moment, pondering her options, and realizes she wants no part of going to the walk on her own, so she asks if Camille can make pancakes too.

The various teams cross the finish line at the Autism Walk, including Team Lessing and Team Braverman. Afterwards, each team sits at a picnic table and eats while waiting for the awards ceremony. Adam walks over to his immediate family and looks annoyed, announcing that Julia won't be there because she's taking care of Boobs McGee. Still? Meanwhile, he says that Camille won't be there because she was coming with Sarah, whose family "can't be bothered." Kristina apologizes, and Adam thanks her and especially Haddie for being there, though he wishes the rest of his family were there as well. Max points out that everyone's mileage counted, and that's what matters. Everyone agrees, and puts on a happy face for Max's sake.

The announcer comes up to the stage to thank everyone and announce that the winners are...Team Braverman. He pronounces it wrong, but they get the point, and Max and Adam run up to the stage. Max snatches the trophy and starts jumping around on stage. Adam takes the microphone and thanks everyone for their efforts, and says that this is for his son Max. I really thought that somehow Max was going to find out that he isn't just the President of the Autism Walk, he's a member. But no. They're saving that for another time. Television, you have fooled me again.

Sarah apparently has ESP because she opens the door at HQ just as Adam is striding angrily through it. Sarah tries to apologize for the no-show, saying, "You know, Amber. [sigh]" Adam isn't feeling forgiving and shoves some papers under Sarah's nose, saying that they won and the organization gave everyone certificates. Adam finally gets to the point, which is that he forced Haddie to go knowing Amber would be there, and then Amber wasn't there. Sarah says that her family got into a fight too, but Camille took the other side, so Sarah lost. She says that Adam succeeded and she failed, which seems to be the story quite often in their little dynamic. Finally, Adam gets down to the real issue (because he's a Blurting Braverman) and says that Amber lied, and she's still seeing Steve, and Haddie saw them kissing at school. Many emotions wash over Sarah's face: sadness, resignation, confusion, etc. She says that she's sorry, and she's so sick of being the problem. Adam shrugs, "So do something about it." Yeah, like it's that easy, golden boy. If Sarah could control Amber, she wouldn't have had to move in the first place. Sarah tears up and says that she thinks maybe they should just move back to Fresno, and the whole move was a big mistake. She waits for Adam to tell her she's being ridiculous, but he just says stonily, "No, I didn't say that" and leaves. After he's gone, Sarah kind of starts to break down, but then pulls it together.

Camille tastes the soup that Julia made. She says it's good and then recognizes that Julia added cumin. Julia seems really proud. I'm just kind of grossed out that they're both slurping down spoonfuls right from the pot and then sticking their germy spoons back in for more. Isn't this soup supposed to help people get well, not sick? Julia changes the subject and says that she's scared that her parents might split up, but she wants to be there for her mom, because she realizes that it can't be easy for her. Camille looks relieved that one of her kids finally figured it out, and thanks her youngest daughter, calling her a real angel. Julia looks pleased and they go back to sticking their germy spoons in the pot. Get a bowl, people!

Adam is in Max's bedroom, trying to help him figure out where to put the trophy. Of course, Max has very strong ideas about how the things in his room should be grouped. Kristina watches from the doorway as they find a spot and Adam lifts it into place. It's totally off-center on the shelf, which would bug the hell out of ME, so I'm sure it will bother Max. He reads the plaque on the trophy and then asks why they gave the money to autism. Adam considers for a moment and then says that they had the best trophy. Kristina, watching, looks a little unsure like maybe this was their moment to talk about it, but then happy that it's not time yet and Max doesn't have to know yet that he's not like the other kids. Adam and Max continue to talk about how they make a great team as Kristina grins in the doorway. But I do feel like they've opened this door of Max finding out, and they are going to need to follow up on it at some point, though maybe not until season.
