These are the people who make TWoP possible!
There are two types of Staff pages. The Show Staff pages list the recappers for an individual show. The Show Staff page for any particular show can be accessed from that show's section. A complete list of all shows, past and present can be found on the Shows page.
The other type of staff page is the Master Staff page which lists every staff member who's worked for TWoP since the gold rush days.
Aaron
| a.k.a. | Aaron |
| aaron@televisionwithoutpity.com | |
| Likes | Film, Pop-Tarts, films about Pop-Tarts, and girls who are mean to him. Really. |
| Dislikes | Non-smoking sections, his job, and temperatures over 65 degrees Fahrenheit. |
| Favourite Shows | Farscape, Picket Fences, Crossing Jordan, Mysterious Ways |
| Bio | When not recapping hoity-toity shows on HBO, Aaron spends most of his time thanking various deities that his job in customer service no longer requires him to speak with actual customers. He also enjoys reading, going to the movies, long moon-lit walks on the beach, and occasionally stalking both Lauren Ambrose and Mike Binder (for entirely different reasons). He reviews all marriage proposals fairly and equitably, and plans to accept as many as possible. |
| Recaps | Six Feet Under, The Sopranos, Mind of the Married Man, Oz, Carnivale |
Keckler
| a.k.a. | Stephanie Vander Weide |
| keckler@televisionwithoutpity.com | |
| Likes | Peking ravioli, port, P.G. Wodehouse, Bonny Doon Vineyards, walks with a peach, yoga, lavender, anything from Aveda, and turkey loaves |
| Dislikes | Zucchini, infomercials, socks, dust mice, Semi-Homemade Sandra Lee (a.k.a. Wal-Martha Stewart), and loud noises |
| Favourite Shows | Blackadder, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Farscape, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, almost everything on the Food Network, and various Treks at various times |
| Bio | After getting laid off by the Nefarious Media Conglomerate -- where she spent three semi-conscious years as a fine arts and photography book editor -- Keckler bought some clogs and a pair of really unflattering black-and-white checked pants, and graduated amid showers of awards and honors from culinary school. Currently ensconed (oh, shut up -- that was funny!) in San Francisco, she's a freelance writer, food magazine and cookbook editor, culinary consultant, cheesemonger, and test kitchen chef. She can make you a cream puff model of the Enterprise if you're deemed worthy. If you're hungry, go on over to her website The Grub Report, and order something off the menu. |
| Recaps | Time of Your Life, D.C., The Fugitive, First Years, Century City, Enterprise, Apprentice: Martha Stewart |
M. Giant
| a.k.a. | Jeff |
| mgiant@televisionwithoutpity.com | |
| Likes | My wife Trash, my son M. Tiny, my three cats, my house, my life |
| Dislikes | "Low-carb" notices everywhere, tuning guitars, drivers who have no respect for the fact that I'm stuck behind their slow asses, things that don't stay fixed after I fix them (which may explain the tuning guitars thing) |
| Favourite Shows | The Daily Show, Arrested Development, The Sopranos, Most Extreme Elimination, early seasons of countless shows that later turned to shit |
| Bio | M. Giant looks forward to a time when he stays home all day and makes a living as a freelance writer. He also looks backward to that time, as well as to a season as the Staff Writer for Minnesota Public Radio's A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor. At the moment he's doing something else. A published playwright, doting husband, new father, bumbling homeowner, and caretaker to three cats, his life is chronicled in punishing detail at Velcrometer. |
| Recaps | 24, Six Feet Under |
Sobell
| a.k.a. | Lisa Schmeiser |
| sobell@televisionwithoutpity.com | |
| Likes | Scharffenberger bittersweet chocolate, comic books, structuralism and poststructuralism, the cyberpunk genre, the late great Stephen Jay Gould, Title IX, In 'n' Out Burger, magazines, Kenneth Cole shoes, furtively reading at work, swimming, any wine with "pinot" on the label, and the Oakland A's |
| Dislikes | Many, many things. A random excerpt from the OED-sized catalog includes: logical fallacies, misogyny, poor reading comprehension skills, milk chocolate, the Emmys, non-diet colas, pointy-toed shoes, waking up, and Rousseau, who has a lot to answer for |
| Favourite Shows | The Wire, The Sopranos, Oz, Arrested Development, Coupling, Homicide: Life on the Street, The Shield, Farscape, Babylon 5, Home Movies, nearly everything upon which Abby Terkhule's ever slapped an executive-producer label, Trading Spaces, Good Eats, and Cheap Seats |
| Bio | Lisa Schmeiser works as a mild-mannered business reporter by day, and a bilious television critic by night. She recently returned to the Bay Area, and splits her time remodeling her fixer-upper or begging for would-be altruistic contractors to answer all her questions on the Rage Diaries. |
| Recaps | C.S.I., C.S.I. Miami, Las Vegas, Prison Break |
