It's a very special Chuck Christmas episode, unlike any Christmas episode of anything you've ever seen. No, really. The whole gang comes together at the Buy More on Christmas Eve (most of them working; Sarah comes through the Orange Orange Super Secret Lair; and Ellie and Awesome come to shop), and then a car crashes through the front of the store, and the driver, Ned, takes everyone inside hostage. He pretends he's nice, and Chuck's buying it. When a negotiator comes in and helps Ned decide to send Casey and Sarah out, though, we know we're in trouble, as the tension keeps on ratcheting up.
With Chuck on the inside, Sarah and Casey quickly head to the OOSSL to figure out what's up with Ned. They learn, just after Chuck does, that the negotiator who came inside is a Fulcrum agent. And when he threatens Ellie's life, Chuck quickly confessed that he's the Intersect. Just as Sarah and Casey are heading back in to rescue Chuck, they see on TV that he's the hostage to be released. And he's climbing into an ambulance with the Fulcrum agent. They head out to try to stop him, and they shoot the ambulance tires out (they're both good shots, incidentally). Then Casey somehow disappears and Sarah tells Chuck to run back to OOSSL. He says he can't leave her there, but she insists his safety is more important. Then he starts to leave, but changes his mind. And she gets pretty beat up by the agent, until she finally makes a comeback and gets the upperhand. In the form of a gun. But the agent won't shut up about how now that he knows Chuck's the Intersect, it's only a matter of time until everyone knows. No matter where the CIA locks him up, someone will find him, he says, and Chuck's pathetic life will be over. He offers himself up for arrest. And Chuck walks up about then, hiding behind a tree (it sounds funny, but the whole thing takes place in a Christmas tree sale lot, so it's really not), and sees the agent in the submissive, hand-up position. And Sarah, full of emotion at the thought of what this jerk could do to Chuck, shoots him dead. It's awesome, and sad. And Chuck's sort of horrified. But only because he doesn't know the whole story. Otherwise, he'd totally love her as much as we do for this.
Back at the Buy More, everyone's safe and sound, too, thanks to a very brave rescue attempt by Awesome, Big Mike, Morgan, Jeff, and Lester. The big moves come from Morgan and Awesome, but Ellie and Anna are too busy paying attention to an already injured Lester to notice. Morgan's forlorn that Anna doesn't notice his bravery, since she sort of hates him right now. And then, as she's standing to Lester on a stretcher, Lester leans up and forcefully kisses her. Morgan sees the kiss, but doesn't realize that a) It's all Lester pulling her into it, and b) she finds it disgusting. Sarah comes in and greets Chuck. She tells him she "arrested" the agent, but he knows she's lying, and he's even more disappointed. So he walks over to sad Morgan, and they end the episode as they always used to be: two sad lonely best friends sitting together, wallowing. They're both confused and horrified at the terrible things they just saw their girlfriends do. Whatever will happen? Bad news: We won't find out until February.
Want more? The full recap starts right below! We open on warm L.A. decorated for Christmas, and the opening of "Jingle Bell Rock." Then we're in the Buy More parking lot, where Big Mike and Buster Bluth are parking to each other in the exact same car. They make small talk about how much they love Christmas Eve because of desperate last-minute shoppers. Big Mike asks Buster if he jacked the prices up ten percent, and Buster says, "Fifteen. You snooze you lose." And ... Merry Christmas!
The music softens, but continues but now we're in the Orange Orange where Sarah's actually doing yogurt shop work: arranging cups, etc. She sees a sign, that has a family all dressed in white and off-white (um, that is a fashion faux-pas, I think), with the words: "family holiday spirit" and "introducing eggnog yogurt" written on it. She looks sad. Probably because she loves eggnog yogurt, but is lactose intolerant. Man, that must suck! Right then Chuck walks in and asks her if the bad guys are taking a holiday, too, what with all the quiet. Then he tells her they have a cover date on Christmas: "Christmas at the Bartowskis!" She appreciates it, but she doesn't do Christmas. He doesn't buy it, because Christmas couldn't have been that weird for her, but she tells him growing up it always meant the annual Salvation Army con job. He gives her "weird," but says the Bartowski Christmas is different. It's eggnog (Chuck! You'll just make her sad talking about the eggnog), pajamas, and a fake gas fireplace. Oh, and best of all, Twilight Zone marathons. He tells her he's not taking no for an answer, so she might as well prepare to be heartwarmed.
Chuck arrives at the Buy More, and Morgan (dressed in the best elf suit ever) is thankful to see him, because he has girl troubles: Anna won't speak to him ever since he balked at the whole moving in thing. (Wait. But then he got the money from selling the DeLorean, which meant they could move in. Are we supposed to assume he balked again because of the General Lee?) Chuck asks if she thinks he's immature and afraid to grow up. Morgan says yeah, and thinks that's ridiculous. He asks if he doesn't look like an adult to Chuck. And remember the elf suit? So ... not so much. Chuck just walks off.
Over at the TV wall, Jeff, Lester, and Anna are watching a high-speed car chase on the news, and placing bets on what will happen. Chuck's glad to see they're all in the Christmas spirit. Speaking of, Big Mike (in a Santa suit) yells for Chuck to round up "the freaks" and meet him at Santa's Village since they open in hour.
They're all lined up (is it weird to anyone else that the staff at the Buy More always stands in a line for "meetings" as if they're in the military?) and Big Mike's telling them that this is their big moment, blah, blah, blah. He asks Morgan what he smells, and Morgan starts listing breakfast things: coffee, bear claw. But Big Mike is talking about profits. Um, how in the world would Morgan know that's what you meant? Big Mike tells them about how they raised prices, and are looking at a record sales day.
Ellie and Awesome knock on the glass of the closed Buy More, and Chuck lets them in. They came early to shop alone and take advantage of the friends and family discount, but Awesome tells Ellie not to worry about getting him anything since she already did. She's confused, so he explains that he took it upon himself to buy himself a weekend skydiving trip with the boys. Chuck has to get back to the lineup with Big Mike. He leaves and Ellie asks why she got him a ticket to death. He says he needs an adrenaline rush. Be careful what you wish for, Awesome.
Jeff's watching the chase on TV, and he's apparently winning. Lester thinks Christmas sucks. He even throws his elf hat (did I mention that Jeff and Lester and in the same suits as Morgan, and that Anna's a different type of elf?) for emphasis. The chase continues, and the Buy More crew starts to hear it outside at the same time they hear it on the news, so it's getting closer. Announcer guy says the driver's "not slowing down!" And then he crashes through the front of the Buy More. One of the elves (I think Jeff) ends up swinging from some sort of Christmas decoration above the car to avoid getting hit. The driver jumps out of the car with a gun, and asks no one to move. Chuck welcomes him to the Buy More, and we go to credits.
We open up in front of the Buy More, where cop cars, and ambulance and Nerd Herd cars are gathered (I'm hoping the Nerd Herd cars were already there, and they weren't brought in for this emergency, although I guess the detention car could come in handy). Inside, our driver talks to himself, all "Not good. Not good. Okay, Ned, just calm down. Think, think think." All of that to establish his name is Ned? He says his full name is Nathan Edward Rhyerson (forum posters say that's a shoutout to Groundhog Day, but could it also be a Ned and Chuck Pushing Daisies shoutout?), but people call him Ned. And then he apologizes about the entrance and asks who's in charge. A bunch of people say "Chuck!" and point at him. Chuck says he's technically not in charge, but Ned points the gun at him and asks for no one to get brave so no one gets shot. Chuck tells him they're safe because the store has a strict no-bravery policy. Ned asks Chuck where the security system is and Chuck leads him to it. Chuck tells him all of the other ways in and out are locked down because they haven't opened yet. Ned asks him to lock the front, so Chuck closes the front gate.
In the Orange Orange's Super Secret Lair, Casey enters and asks Sarah what's going on. She's watching it all on a video and fills him in. Casey's disappointed that the one time he steps out of work he misses all the fun. A couple things: He steps out of work a lot. And hostage situations? Not fun. Or at least they don't seem fun on movies and TV. Casey is carrying wrapping paper and bows for some reason, which he sets on the table as Agent Redhead lets them know who Ned is: a civilian with no record; not even a speeding ticket. Casey wants to play with his new "toy," which is a gun, but Sarah says they shouldn't blow Chuck's cover, especially with all of his family and friends there, so they'd have to go into hiding too. Agent Redhead asks them to try it Sarah's way, and Casey seems disappointed. She asks him if he's okay, and then we pan out to see all of his fingertips are bandaged. He tells her they're just paper cuts because he's on gift-wrap station. (A-ha! That explains the gift-wrap.) Agent Redhead awesomely says, "It's an electronics store, Major. Not Basra. Get it under control."
We get shots in front of the store, including with TV news anchor Maureen Mitsubishi. She fills us in on what's happening in the Buy More. Then a negotiator walks up to the cops and asks who's in charge. Carl Winslow says he is. And that his name is Al Powell, Burbank PD. That would be the same character he played in Die Hard. The negotiator says he's Lieutenant Mauser, a hostage negotiator with LAPD. Al updates him, and eats a twinkie ["Some things never change for Al Powell" -- Angel]: Ned's an amateur, everyone's safe, and Al's cousin, Mike, is the store manager, who will have everything under control.
Cut to Big Mike eating a twinkie just like his cousin. Big Mike doesn't exactly have everything under control. He's actually sitting in his Santa suit in his Santa chair, whining to Buster about how all of his customers will go to Large Mart now. Buster comforts him, and says it's going to be okay because all of the news outlets are bringing publicity. Big Mike also realizes his cousin, Big Al, will be there along with half of LAPD. He's confident the store will be back open before lunch.
Ned, meanwhile, is watching the news. Chuck approaches him and Ned tells him he hates the picture of himself the news stations are using. Ned tells Chuck he's not a bad guy normally, but he lost his job. He just wanted to get some gifts for his kids, and thing he knew, he was the O.J. He asks Chuck what he can do, because he doesn't want to go to jail. Chuck tells him that if he gives up now, since he hasn't hurt anyone, he might be able to get a deal. Ned asks why, and Chuck tells him a secret (ALWAYS smart to tell your secrets to a stranger who might be insane and/or a criminal): He knows some people who could make this go away if Ned doesn't do anything stupid. Ned asks who. And we see Casey and Sarah pushing out the lockers in the backroom and entering the Buy More from OOSSL.
Back with Ned and Chuck, the phone rings and Ned freaks. He asks Chuck to answer it. Chuck does, and it's Lieutenant Mauser, who asks to talk to Ned. Ned doesn't want to talk, so Mauser says he and Chuck will have to work through this themselves. Chuck tells Mauser that Ned doesn't want any trouble, so Mauser asks him to send out a hostage as a sign of good faith. Or, you know, start bigger, Supposed Trained Professional Hostage Negotiator, and ask him to let them all go. Chuck relays the message, and Buster immediately starts running forward, saying, "Pick me! Pick me! Pick me!" I have never noticed this before, but Tony Hale could play Pee-Wee Herman if there were ever a remake. He says it's 86-year-old grandma is dying and needs him, so Ned agrees to send him. Buster hugs Ned and cocks an eyebrow at Chuck, then leaves. Lester and Jeff think Chuck worked out a deal to let Buster go so Chuck can get better lunch breaks. As if Chuck ever works anyway.
Mauser and Maureen Mitsubishi try to ask Buster what's going on inside, but all Buster will talk about are the great electronics inside the store, on sale now (which is a total lie, obviously). Inside, everyone's watching Buster on the news. Ned asks where the people are who can help him, and Chuck sees Sarah and Casey. He asks Ned if he can go to the bathroom and Ned lets him go. Sarah and Casey want to lock Chuck in the OOSSL before worrying about anyone else, but with Ellie and Morgan in there, Chuck can't leave. Casey and Sarah should be more forceful. Ned comes back, and Casey shuts the OOSSL locker/door quickly. Ned sees Casey and Sarah and immediately points his gun. Chuck says they're harmless so to please put his gun down. Chuck tells him they were hiding, and then he introduces them. Ned says he'll uncock the gun, but he doesn't know how, and then he accidentally fires it instead.
The cops outside hear the gunfire, and are requesting a SWAT team. Turns out Ned accidentally shot Casey's toe off. Ellie and Awesome wrap it up and Ellie tells Casey he'll be fine, that a lot of people get by with nine toes. Jeff, who's listening, tells Lester he gets along fine with eight. Yeah, I wouldn't say Jeff gets along "fine," but I don't think that's about toes. Lester wonders if they can find the toe and get Casey to pay them for it. Dude, it was shot, not cut off. Casey whispers to Chuck that he survived three wars without losing a fingernail before he met Chuck. Elsewhere, Ellie's asking Sarah if she's okay and Sarah says she's just scared because she's never been this close to a gun. Ellie says she hasn't either, but they just need to stick together. Sarah looks bad for lying, but she didn't really have to lay it on so thick, now, did she?
Over by the TV wall, Awesome's telling Jeff, Lester, Big Mike, and Morgan that he's had enough and that they need to try to take Ned out before anyone gets hurt. Big Mike agrees, because there's lots of merchandise to move. Morgan doesn't know, but Awesome reminds him it's time to be a man. Morgan's in. So's Jeff. Chuck walks up and tells them this is a bad idea, that they should let the police handle it. Casey walks up and agrees. Awesome's all, "I know you guys work at a Buy More, but I'm a doctor." He takes risks every day, and someone needs to man up here and be a hero. Ellie walks up and tells him they don't because being a hero is actually remaining alive to be there for your friends and family.
A phone rings again and Chuck runs over to it. Ned apologizes to Chuck for shooting his friend, but Chuck's okay with it because he wants to shoot him sometimes, too. Mauser's on the phone asking what's going on since they heard shots. Chuck tells him it was just an accident; that someone lost the majority of his toe, but otherwise they're all fine. Ned still won't talk to Mauser, so Mauser asks through Chuck what Ned's demands are. Ned has to think about it, so they ask Mauser to call back in five minutes. After they hang up, Chuck asks Ned what he's going to do. Ned says he should call his wife, because she'll know what to do. Chuck thinks this is a great idea, and thinks everyone else should be allowed to call and check in with a loved one, too. Ned says that's fine.
Then we get an "I'll Be Home For Christmas" montage of people talking to their loved ones. First Ned talking to his wife, then Ellie and Awesome talking to the Awesomes. He tells them everything is "awesome," but then says, "Well, not really, but we'll be all right." Lester calls a love chat line. Jeff calls a prison and asks for a prisoner also known as his mom. Morgan tries to talk to Anna, but she tells him to save his breath. Big Mike talks to Al. Casey calls his mom, and calls himself "Johnny Boy." Sarah doesn't have anyone to call. But her phone rings. It's Chuck. He's at the DVDs, so she joins him there. She says it was pretty smart to call her when Ned let everyone call their loved ones. That protects their cover. He says she is his girlfriend -- sort of. She asks if his Christmas offer still stands, and he says he knew she could be heartwarmed. Then he presents her with a gift. It's a silver charm bracelet for good luck. It was his mom's bracelet that his dad gave her when Ellie was born. Sarah says she can't take it because it's something real, that he should give to a real girlfriend. He says he knows, and then they just look at each other, all sweet and knowing. Then the phone rings and Ned calls for Chuck. He leaves Sarah speechless.
Chuck answers the phone, and Mauser wants to know what Ned wants. He just wants to go home and spend Christmas with his family. Mauser tells Chuck he's coming in unarmed. He wants to talk so that everyone can get home for Christmas. Chuck opens the door and lets him in. Ned points his gun at him, but Mauser says he's completely unarmed. Ned tells him he doesn't want to go to jail, and Mauser says they'll work on that, but for now let's make a trade: Mauser inside for two hostages let go. Ned agrees to it, and Mauser wants to start with the injured man. Casey says he's okay, and Ellie should go instead. Ellie insists Casey go since his toe could be infected. Ned turns to Chuck and says that he'll let Chuck's girlfriend go since Chuck's been a good friend. Chuck yells, "No!" Which is hilarious because of how everyone reacts. Ellie says, "Chuck?" Jeff says, "Ouch," and Lester says, "Yikes. It's going to be a cold Christmas at the Bartowskis." Some lady we've never seen before says, "Oh no he didn't." Chuck tries to explain, but none of it makes sense. Everyone looks at him like he's the biggest jerk ever. Chuck tries to talk Ned into letting everyone leave instead, but Ned's like, "No. Just those two." Casey and Sarah both talk quietly to Chuck on the way out. Sarah tells him she'll never let anyone hurt him. (This will come into play sooner than either of them realize.)
Mauser tells Chuck what a good job he's done, and then Chuck flashes on Mauser's watch. He sees a gun, and the word "Fulcrum." Uh-oh. After the flash, Mauser tells Chuck not to worry about it, because everything will be just fine. Mauser says he'll take it from here, but Chuck insists he'd like to talk to Ned, and put him at ease before Mauser takes over. Mauser lets him, and Chuck gets to Ned and starts whispering that Mauser's not a good guy and that they can't trust him. He asks Ned to let everyone out of the store right now. Ned says he can't let everyone out, because then he wouldn't have any bargaining chips. Chuck tells Ned that the people he was talking about earlier work for the government and will do anything to protect him, which is the only bargaining chip Ned needs. Mauser starts walking over, as Chuck's begging Ned to trust him. Mauser says he'll take over and Chuck walks off.
Outside, Sarah and Casey approach the SWAT team and they are quickly told that Ned doesn't have a wife. Sarah and Casey take off running to the OOSSL. They look it up and see there isn't any record of Ned being married. They look up who Ned might have been speaking to when he made the call.
Awesome's rounding up Santa and the elves (Big Mike, Morgan, Lester, and Jeff) again to try to get them to take Ned out at last. Awesome says Ned's tired so it's time to make their move. He asks if anyone else played ball in college. Big Mike says he played linebacker. Lester: "I did not." Morgan says he played a lot of Madden on his PlayStation 3. Awesome tells Morgan to be bold. Awesome tells them the plan, which is called "the picket fence," which consists of Big Mike and Awesome as the flanks, Morgan as the sacrificial lamb, and Jeff and Lester coming up from behind. Lester thinks that seems awkward. Chuck comes up and asks what they're doing, and Awesome explains and asks if Chuck's in. Chuck says it's way too dangerous. Then he says, "Please, Devon. If you love Ellie, don't do this." Awesome tells Chuck he wins. Mauser calls Chuck over, and Chuck tells Awesome, "Remember, don't be Awesome."
Mauser tells Chuck he and Ned worked it all out. Chuck thinks this is great that they can leave, but Mauser says first he and Chuck have to work something out. He tells him that Fulcrum knows John Casey's NSA, and Chuck's face falls. In the OOSSL, Casey and Sarah are finally realizing that person who Ned called is in the Buy More now. Back in the Buy More, Mauser goes on that they know Sarah's CIA. In the OOSSL, Casey and Sarah see Mauser's picture and start to panic. In the Buy More, Mauser says they've lost enough agents to these two, and that Fulcrum knew they were here protecting someone but didn't know who. But with Ned's help, they found out Chuck's the one they rushed to protect. Chuck says he has no idea what he's talking about. Mauser asks if Chuck sees Ned. Chuck turns and sees Ned standing by Anna and Ellie with a gun. Mauser says he'd hate to have Ned kill Chuck's "pretty little sister over there" if Chuck doesn't cooperate with Mauser. Chuck tells Mauser he's just an analyst, but Mauser says they did their research and found out Chuck was college roommates with Bryce Larkin, he of infiltrating Fulcrum and stealing the Intersect. Chuck says Bryce is dead and Mauser motions at Ned to shoot Ellie. Chuck asks him to stop, and he does. Chuck asks what Mauser wants and he says he wants to find Bryce and the Intersect, and wants Chuck's full cooperation or Ellie dies. He asks where Bryce Larkin is, and Chuck says he doesn't know, but that he does know where the Intersect is. Mauser asks where and Chuck looks at Ellie and then points at his own brain.
Mauser sets his jaw and tells Chuck how it's going to play out: Ned's going to release another hostage, Chuck, and then Chuck and Mauser will get into an ambulance that will take him to a secure Fulcrum facility, where Chuck will stay. Chuck asks if he'll ever see Ellie again, and Mauser says no. Chuck asks if he can say goodbye to her. Mauser lets him, but says Ned will shoot her if Chuck does anything to call attention to Mauser or to the situation.
Chuck tells Ellie they're letting him go and she gives the most sincere, "Thank God" in the world. She hugs him and he says "Goodbye, Ellie. You know how much I love you, right?" She tells him to cheer up and stop acting like he'll never see her again. Awesome tells Chuck he'll see him in a bit and hugs him. Chuck tells him there's a time to be brave and a time to be timid. And that this is a time to be brave. He says, "Do it." Awesome tries to hide it but he's sort of giddy. Sarah and Casey are still in the OOSSL for some reason, about to head to the Buy More, when they see the news announcement that Chuck's been released. Then we're back with Awesome and his makeshift football team. Ellie tells Anna she hopes they're doing nothing risky, and Anna says Morgan's with them, so they're not. Music from "The Nutcracker" plays as they all sneak into their positions. Ned's too dumb to notice any of it. Lester and Jeff, holding giant candy canes, start running toward Ned, who gets all excited and then does a twist and kick thing that totally knocks out Lester.
Outside, Sarah and Casey see the ambulance leaving with Chuck, and they each shoot a tire out. Chuck jumps out the back and runs off. Mauser comes out right after him, and chases him into a Christmas tree lot. Inside, Ellie's worried about Lester's injuries, but Anna says at least he's not afraid to take a risk, like Morgan. Right. He might be seriously injured, but at least he's not afraid of risk. I always thought Anna was brighter than this. Ned's all cocky now and asks if anyone else wants to try anything. He points the gun at Awesome, but then Morgan jumps out of a pile of fake snow with a fake-snow-blowing machine and blows the fake snow all over Ned. This gives Awesome and Big Mike the opportunity to attack Ned from both sides. Awesome gets the gun and points it at Ned. Morgan asks if Anna saw it, but Ellie and Anna are just engrossed with Lester's injuries. He's waking up. Anna tells him how brave he was. He tells them that in times of crisis a man needs to step up and all that. But we get his vantage point, and all he's doing is looking at their boobs. Morgan's watching it all, what with the big smiles the girls are giving him, and he's sad.
Outside, Mauser continues to try to find Chuck in the trees. Someone covers Chuck's mouth with a hand. It's Sarah. Chuck turns and tells her that Ned and Mauser are Fulcrum, and it's all a set-up. He says this really loud, too, broadcasting for Mauser apparently. Sarah whispers that she knows. She says the team is moving in on the people at the Buy More. She tells him to run as fast as he can to OOSSL. He says he can't leave her with this guy, but she says his safety is more important than hers and that he has to run and not turn back. He starts to run as Sarah searches the tree lot for Mauser. And a really cool, chanty version of "Silent Night" is playing, and it's all foggy and dark, which makes this scene even better. Chuck runs to the edge of the lot, but then stops and goes back in. He can't bring himself to leave Sarah. Mauser and Sarah find each other and start fighting, punching each other. He knocks her down and starts kicking her, but she pulls him down too. He chokes her. It's very unsettling how much she's losing. But then she throws him, and gets the gun pointed at him.
He tells her she might have won, but Fulcrum wins the big prize because he knows Chuck's the Intersect. Sarah says Chuck's secret is safe because Mauser's going to a CIA facility and will never be seen again. Mauser keeps taunting her, saying to go ahead and arrest him, but that he's not like the other Fulcrum agents, that Fulcrum will do whatever it takes to find him. And when they do, every agent will know about Chuck, which will be the end of his "pathetic existence." Just then, Chuck comes up behind a tree and starts watching. All he sees is Mauser with his hands up, giving in, and Sarah with a pointed gun. Mauser says, "Take me in, Agent Walker. I'm ready to go." She looks torn, and teary-eyed, and scared. Of losing Chuck. And of doing something that she knows is wrong to keep him safe. Because, remember, she promised never to let anyone hurt him. She lowers her gun and continues to look sad and uncertain. But then her face sets with certainty, she raises the gun back up, and shoots him dead. It's touching and poignant and makes her a total bad-ass and a hero. But all Chuck saw was her shooting a guy who had completely given up. He can't believe what he saw. The camera follows Sarah's gun to the charm bracelet. And then it's back on poor Chuck's shocked face.
At the Buy More, "Jingle Bell Rock" is playing again as everyone is kissing under mistletoe. Then Big Al comes in, and we get opera music building to a crescendo as he and Big Mike run toward each other and hug. They catch up a little bit, and then they plan to go eat.
A sad, slow Christmas song starts playing (it's "Christmas And Me Are Through," by Your Vegas; thanks to mizenkay for knowing that). Awesome approaches Ellie and tells her doesn't want to go skydiving anymore. He's had all the excitement he needs. They kiss under mistletoe. Lester's on a stretcher, thanking Anna for staying with him. He would have been alone tonight. She says her too. And the reaches up and grabs her and kisses her. It actually looks like she's kissing him back, and Morgan sees it, but then she stops and screams, "Gross!" I can't tell if her face is agreeing with "Gross!" though, or if she loved it. It could go either way. Sarah walks in, has to sort of force herself to act excited and breezy, and she runs toward Chuck. She kisses him and hugs him. She tells him he's safe: "I got the Fulcrum agent." She's totally not lying. She did get him. But then Chuck asks what happened to him, and Sarah says she arrested him and that Casey's taking him to a secure facility right then. She says he'll go to jail and never bother Chuck again. Ellie and Awesome come up and say Merry Christmas and there are hugs all around. Chuck looks sad and disappointed. Ellie's excited that Chuck gave Sarah the charm bracelet. Chuck sees sad Morgan on the Nerd Herd counter and goes to sit by him. Morgan asks Chuck what to do if you see your girlfriend do something so horrific, it's permanently burned into your brain. Chuck says he doesn't know, but he knows exactly what Morgan means.
And that's it until Monday, Feb. 2, sadly. But don't worry: Momma's Boys starts, which should totally make up for the loss of such a good show, right?
Is Chuck a nerd or an undercover hottie? We investigate.
