I had some trouble with my tape this week. All I'm going to say is, never use Maxell tapes. I should have listened to Wing Chun after her Dawson's Creek debacle, but I didn't and I paid the price. Fortunately, The Boy sent me the tape. Before he agreed to, one of his suggestions was to "just say that 'this week's episode reminded me of blank' and go on to talk about the Chumash for seven pages." Lucky for you, he caved and sent me the tape. 'Tis the season for shout-outs, and mine go to Ace and The Boy.
Previously on Buffy: Spike attempts to bite Willow, but finds he can't bite anyone; Spike offers information to the Scooby gang in return for shelter; Oz tells Willow he's leaving; Willow, Sep and Ace start to cry all over again; Oz drives away in his van.
Buffy, wearing a sleeveless sweater and leopard print skirt, walks through some building on campus. She spots Riley up on a ladder, hanging a banner that reads "Lesbian Alliance." Buffy asks him if there's something he needs to tell her and gestures towards the banner. Riley laughs and starts to talk about how he and Buffy were planning a picnic. He suggests Ruggs Field and blathers about food and ants. Buffy doesn't recall talking about having a picnic, and Riley admits it must have been a conversation he was practicing. I'm sure his inept wooing of Buffy is supposed to be cute, but it's actually rather embarrassing. I'm also distracted by Buffy's hair in this scene, since it's rather crimpy at the ends, flat on top and matted overall. ["Hey, Buffy, I have naturally curly hair, and I have a great new hairdresser who has really helped me with products that bring out the curl without making my hair lank or frizzy. Give me a call, sister, and I'll hook you up." -- Ace] Riley admits that he preps before talking to Buffy and that having a conversation with her is "like an oral exam." I'm not going to say anything about that line. Not. A. Thing. Buffy isn't complimented by Riley's admission, and I really can't understand what would be so difficult about talking to Buffy, but he goes on to say that he likes her because she's a mystery. He calls her beautiful, and she gets swoony.
Willow and Buffy are on patrol in a graveyard. Willow is wearing what Ace called a poncho, but I think looks more like a tube with no armholes. If anyone remembers the commercial for the plastic device that enabled you to turn a crank and produce miles upon miles of useful and fashionable yarn tubing, well, it looks like that. Either that, or Willow took up knitting but hasn't figured out the secret to sleeves yet. Patrolling against vampires and other night-haunting demons with your arms bound to your sides by an acrylic strait-jacket doesn't seem like a wise move, but what do I know about fashion? Oh, that's right -- a lot more than Willow, obviously. Buffy is blathering on about Riley, how nice he is and how different that is for her. She says she really likes him but she feels "like something's missing." Willow suggests that perhaps Buffy misses being made miserable, and Buffy agrees that she has to stop wanting bad boys. Buffy spouts some romance novel-derived crap about how fighting and pain seem to equal real love and passion, and I speeyack all over the TV. As Buffy wonders how she got these sadly misguided notions, a vampire jumps her and she casually stakes him.
Credits.
In the bathroom of Fort Giles, Buffy is questioning Spike as to the nature of the commandos and the location of the lab. She's obviously frustrated with his pat answers of "human" and "underground." Enter Giles with a yellow mug and a straw. Spike, who is chained in Giles's bathtub, snits, "It's about time. I hope you got it warm enough." Giles ignores Spike's poor manners and hands the "Kiss the Librarian" mug to Buffy, who winces at the contents before holding it near Spike for him to drink out of. Spike slurps greedily and Buffy flinches. Spike wonders why she is so "dainty" when she "must've done this for Angel." Buffy has had enough and takes the mug away, leaving a protesting Spike with the straw dangling out of his mouth and getting cranberry juice everywhere. Buffy tells Spike that "the kitchen is closed" until he remembers something useful. Spike believes his life expectancy will be greatly shortened once he's divulged his information. Giles interjects that they aren't going to hurt a "harmless creature." I understand that keeping Spike alive is necessary for the plot at this point, and I do love having him around, but I'm having trouble grasping the concept that Team Buffy would ever consider Spike harmless and leave him unstaked for very long. Giles continues to miss the point, saying that they can't release him until they are certain that he's impotent. Spike bristles at that choice of words, and Buffy suggests "flaccid" instead. Spike warns her that she's "one step away," and she sarcastically comments to Giles, "Help! He's gonna scold me!" Spike lunges at her but is restrained by his chains; Buffy shows that she's been faithfully attending psychology class, saying that Spike doesn't want to leave because they've "made it too comfy" for him. Spike: "Comfy? I'm chained in the bathtub drinking pig's blood from a novelty mug. That doesn't rate high in the Zagat's guide." Buffy asks him if he would like something nicer and arches her neck towards him to taunt him with her "bare" and "exposed" flesh. Now Giles has obviously had enough, muttering, "Oh please," and rolling his eyes. He walks into the living room, commenting that "if those two don't kill each other I might lend a hand" to Willow, who is sitting on the couch researching spells. She suggests a truth spell as Giles verbally kicks himself for not thinking of it. Willow takes off, saying that she will be "back tomorrow with donuts and motherwort." I snicker at the inclusion of "motherwort" in a truth spell. Giles steps back into the bathroom, and I suppose Buffy and Spike have made up because she's feeding him again. Giles mentions that Willow seems to be dealing well with Oz's departure. Buffy agrees, but Spike pipes up, "What, are you people blind? She's hanging on by a thread. Any ninny can see that." So I guess that makes Spike a ninny. Great insult there, Big Bad.
Willow enters Oz's former room and flicks on a light. As the camera pans around it, we find that it's empty except for the mattresses and a big TV. I'll take that TV if it's all right with everyone. Cut to the World's Largest Dorm Room with Willow -- in a cute pair of plaid pajamas -- crying on her bed as she talks to Buffy. We learn that Oz has sent for his stuff. Willow tearfully says, "I feel like I've been split down the center and half of me is lost." Cut to a concerned-looking Buffy in a blue tank top, saying, "I know. It feels like that now." "Oz is gone," Willow finishes mournfully, and thank god we switch to an overhead shot of Sunnydale because I was about to lose it myself there. ["Come back, Oz, come back." -- Ace and Sars]
We're back in the bathroom at Fort Giles. We have an overhead shot of Spike straining to reach the television but he can't quite make it. Why the hell does Giles have a TV in his bathroom? Maybe they are being a little too nice to Spike. time I'm captured by my enemies, remind me to insist on having cable. "Come on now. It's telly time!" shouts Spike. Giles is leaving a message on Willow and Buffy's machine, wondering about their missed appointment. Spike shouts from the bathroom that "Passions is on. Timmy's down the bloody well and if you make me miss it I'll --" "You'll what?" interrupts Giles, "lick me to death?" Hee hee. He continues his message, saying that they'd better try that spell soon because, "among other things, I'd like to shower sometime today. Alone." Hey, Giles, are you and Xander having a fight? Oh, and speak for yourself, because I'd much rather shower with Spike.
Buffy and Riley are having a picnic in Ruggs Field, which appears to be in the middle of campus. How completely unromantic. Buffy is wearing a terrible poncho and has once again developed an unhealthy fascination with a crimping iron. Her outfit combined with that hair makes Buffy resemble Joyce in Band Candy to a frightening degree. We find out that Riley, who has gone to SuperCuts between episodes, drives for fun. He seems surprised to learn that Buffy doesn't drive (and in California it is pretty rare to find someone Buffy's age who doesn't), but Buffy says that she "and cars are like un-mix-y things." Riley seems to think that it's just because she's had bad experiences. He blathers on about "relaxing" and "taking your time" and other thinly veiled sexual-romantic metaphors that I'd expect to hear in an episode of Dawson's Creek. Buffy wants to know that they "are talking about driving, right?" Riley "thought [he] was" as he fixes her with a creepy stare. I'm just now noticing how deep-set Riley's eyes are. It must be some sort of evolutionary defense in the Finn family; I can imagine that people would attempt to poke them out quite often. Riley the egotist announces that he's "taking" her and that it "will change everything for [her]." Gah. I'm not even going to talk about how much I loathe guys who say things like that. A mopey Willow approaches, and since I know how upset she is I won't make fun of her shirt. Riley gains a few points back with me as he invites Willow to sit down with them. ["I thought it was really shitty of Buffy to be so obviously wishing that Willow would go elsewhere. Some friend." -- Ace] Willow notices that the apples are turning brown "like they do." Riley and Buffy agree that apples do that; uncomfortable silence reigns supreme.
Bronze. Upbeat ska music. Buffy is filling Xander and Anya in on the Oz situation. Anya has gotten her hair cut and it really takes the years off. She looks no older than twenty-eight now, tops. Xander mentions how "harsh" the situation is, adding, "No wonder she's," and the camera shows Willow dancing somewhat spastically, "having a wonderful time." Buffy: "Way to rebound." Xander: "I believe that's the dance of a brave little toaster." Hey! I loved that video. Willow notices them, and she bounces up to their table and invites them to dance. They comment on her new attitude and she says that "I said to myself, 'Self,' I said, 'it's time to shake and shimmy it off.' I figure in the grand scheme of things we're all just --" and as she's adjusting her coat on the chair, a beer falls to the ground. "Drunk?" finishes Buffy. The others bust on Willow for drinking, and Willow says it's "no big." Buffy asks if we remember when "Buffy had the fun beer-fest and went one million years BC." First of all, Buffy, you've got your dates wrong; secondly, that was magic beer and you had far, far more of it than Willow's piddly little Sam Adams there. I understand the message the show is trying to send about dealing with rather than dunking your pain, but really. One beer. Get some perspective, people. Xander gets up and coerces Willow to give him the beer. She doesn't want to because she has "legitimate pain." Xander informs her that everyone has pain, but Willow retorts, "Oh, like what? Poor me, I live in a basement. Yeah, that's dire." Ouch. She really struck a nerve; Xander stalks off. I'm surprised that Anya didn't follow him. Buffy grabs Willow's hand to take her home, but Willow resists. Buffy says that she'll thank her in the morning for saving her friendship with Xander. Willow says that she just can't stand "feeling this way." Buffy sympathizes, and then Willow sets up the plot for this episode by asking, "Isn't there some way I can just make it go away, just 'cause I say so. Can't I just make it go poof?"

Giles is waving some sage over Spike, who is now chained in his living room, attempting to cast the truth spell, but he's having trouble reading the book. Spike is not "sure about this spell stuff. It tends to be a bit unpredictable." Yeah, okay -- we get it. Giles takes a hanky out of his pocket to clean his glasses just as Spike notices the key to his manacles on the floor near him. Giles must have missed spotting the key because of his poor eyesight. As Giles is futzing with his spectacles, Spike works the key closer to him with his boot. Spike "won't have [him] doing mojo on me if you can't read properly. You could turn me into a stink beetle or what all," and he stealthily unlocks his handcuffs. Giles thinks "that would be a generous ending" for Spike. Spike suddenly stands and throws Giles against the breakfast bar and runs out the door, but not before grabbing his leather jacket.
Willow is complaining to Buffy about Giles's treatment of her. Buffy is consoling her saying that Giles is just concerned about her: "It doesn't mean he thinks you're a bad witch." It's Willow's turn for a pity party as she lists all the contrary reasons and says that the only real witch is "fuzzy little Amy," who is sitting on the bed behind them. Buffy thinks Willow is being too hard on herself, but that's lost on Willow, who continues, "She's got access to powers I can't even invoke." Not anymore, Will. All she has access to now is a Habitrail and an exercise wheel. As Willow says, "First she's a perfectly normal girl. Then poof! She's a rat. I could never do something like that," Amy turns from a rat into a very pleasantly surprised normal girl and then back into a rat, but Buffy and Willow don't notice a thing. Willow's pity party is temporarily suspended by the phone ringing. Buffy relays from Giles to Willow that Spike escaped, and prepares to leave. Willow doesn't seem to understand that Buffy has work to do, and suggests a girl's night. Buffy says that she'll be back as soon as she can and takes off. Willow petulantly says, "I don't see the big. He's probably just standing out there. You'll find him in two seconds." Her eyes get all creepy again so we can be sure that the shot . . .
. . . is Spike, standing on the lawn. Buffy comes upon him immediately. They both thought that this "was going to take longer." Spike remembers that the door he escaped out of was right in this area. Buffy doesn't believe him, and Spike claws at the ground, ordering them to "fix [him]." Buffy has had enough and says she's going to gag Spike. Spike punches Buffy and then grabs his head in pain as Buffy punches him in return and he grabs his nose in pain.
Giles is putting drops in his eyes as Buffy and Spike burst through the door without knocking. They're still bickering. Spike posits that Buffy doesn't "have the stones" to dispatch him. Buffy looks him in the eye and calls out, "Giiiiles, I accidentally killed Spike. That's okay, right?" They bicker some more.
Cut to Xander's Basement of Debasement. Willow obviously hasn't changed out of her complainy pants yet, because she's pacing and whining to Xander about Buffy. Xander tries to reason with her: "It's not like she could just let Spike go."
Cut to Spike and Buffy bickering some more.
Willow complains some more to Xander. I normally don't mention Xander's clothes, but this particular shirt is just odd. It's a white shirt with orange sleeves and some sort of flower decal on it that looks like chamomile. Is Xander's new job coaching the Bigelow Bears Little League team or something? Xander, in his role as the voice of reason for this episode, says, "Buffy's gotta find out what's up with those Commandos. Right now she needs Spike." "Well, fine," snipes Willow, "Why doesn't she just go marry him?"
Giles comes out of the living room with a frustrated plea for Buffy and Spike to remain civil, but to his surprise he finds Buffy sitting on a chair with Spike before her on bended knee, proposing. Buffy accepts his proposals as romantic soap-opera music wails. They both rise and start making out. Oh man, I can already tell that I'm going to so love this.
Willow complains to Xander some more. Xander talks sense some more. Willow's whiny act starts to tick me off. Willow thinks that all relationships are "doomed." Xander disagrees; Willow lists all the demons he's been involved with (and she forgot Cordelia, who might not technically be a demon, but I still think she counts) and pronounces him a "demon magnet." Xander looks hurt and informs Willow that he "was just trying to help."
Giles is standing in his depressing little kitchen, attempting to ring Willow. He rubs his eyes and looks worried as he leaves a message explaining that he can't see very well, and he's sure it's the result of a spell since "it seems that something else is going wrong." We see Buffy handing Spike a mug of blood. She then climbs into his lap and they begin smooching. Giles peers at them from the kitchen, then finishes his message: "Horribly wrong." Buffy starts in on the wedding plans and Spike declines a church wedding. Buffy suggests a daytime ceremony outside in a park, but Spike again declines, gritting out, "A warm spring breeze tosses the leaves aside, and again you're registering as 'Mr. and Mrs. Big Pile of Dust.'" Buffy protests that Spike is being too jokey about their important day, and she pouts out her lower lip while Giles sits on the sofa nearby with a drink. Spike notices Buffy's pouty lip and they begin kissing. Loud smacky noises ensue. Buffy extends her arm, asking if Giles has seen her ring; he expresses disgust and leans back, rubbing his eyes. Buffy gets off Spike's lap and comes to sit to Giles and quite sweetly asks him, as her "real family," to give her away. Giles is touched and reacts very emotionally until he recalls who Buffy plans to marry, and he exclaims, "This is nonsense!" Yes, it is, Giles, but it's fun nonsense, and Buffy and Spike have more sexual chemistry than just about any other couple ever portrayed on this show, so don't rain on our parade, huh? Buffy turns to smile at Spike, who tells her Giles will need time to get used to their plans. Buffy mentions that her friends didn't like Angel at first either, and Spike gets angry at hearing the big poof's name. They argue about their vampire ex-sweeties, Angel and Drusilla, and Buffy heatedly asks if Spike thinks she's "not wondering if you're gonna be thinking of [Drusilla] on our honeymoon, when you're making sweet love to me." Spike and Buffy begin to lock lips again, but are interrupted by Giles knocking over his drink. He tells them that he is now totally blind. Spike jumps up to find a reversal spell in one of Giles's books, and when Giles is surprised that Spike would help him, Spike explains that Giles is "almost" his father-in-law. As Buffy prepares to go to the magic shop, she tells Giles he'll be fine alone with Spike because they're all family now. Spike and Buffy start tongue-wrangling again, and Giles miserably says, "It's all right -- I have more scotch," as he feels his way into the kitchen.
Buffy exits the magic store but is entranced by a store-window mannequin in a wedding dress. Fairy-tale music plays as she peers into the shop window, but the fairy tale must be an original unsanitized Grimm's version with all the bad parts left in, because Riley chooses this moment to appear on the scene. Buffy reverently shows him the dresses. He makes a lame joke about them being too dressy for school, and hold on to your seats, kids, because we now enter the Magical-Comical Misunderstanding portion of the show. Buffy starts talking about how she really does like Riley and hopes he can be there on "The Day." When he asks what day, she excitedly tells him that she's getting married. Riley looks mildly confounded, perhaps distracted by trying to catch a glimpse of Buffy around his lumpy nose. Buffy goes on about her fiancé being someone she fought with for years and then looked at and "just knew," and as she blathers on, Riley becomes more and more agitated. Buffy chirps, "You'll really like him. Well -- nobody really likes him. I don't even really like him, but I love him." Riley wants to know the groom's name and Buffy answers, "Spike!" and then worries that Riley is mad at her. Riley inquires if Spike attends UC Sunnydale, and Buffy ditzily says, "Oh, no. He's totally old. Well, not as old as my last boyfriend was." Riley wussily makes his exit, his tail between his legs. Buffy stands and looks pouty, then whines, "They're ruining my happy day."
Xander's pad. Xander calls up the stairs to his mom that he doesn't need anymore snacks. Anya, lounging sexily on the bed, protests that she liked the Fruit Roll-ups. Xander tells her to think of his lips as "the Fruit Roll-ups of love," admits that comment was gross, and explains that he's distracted by Willow being so upset. Anya ignores his blather and moves in for smoochies. After a little kissage and banter they fall onto the bed, only to be interrupted by an ugly toothy demon crashing in through a wall. Xander rushes the demon and is flung into his dad's work table while Anya protects herself with a baseball bat. Her demonic past proves handy as she tells Xander that drowning is the only way to take this demon out. Xander drowns it in the conveniently-full laundry sink, but as he does so another demon crashes in through the small window above their heads.
Buffy is on Spike's lap again, crooning the wedding march and walking a little bride n' groom figurine up Spike's arm. From the couch, Giles sneers, "So the plan is to cure my total incapacitating blindness -- tomorrow, is it?" Buffy agrees and asks Spike if the little blonde figures aren't perfect. Spike says he thinks the groom is insipid, and Buffy suggests smearing a little red paint on its mouth to portray the "blood of the innocent." Spike is pleased, they begin kissing, and Giles forcefully says, "Stop that right now! I can hear the smacking!" They can hear the smacking in Shanghai, Giles. Buffy puts aside the figurine and moves on to the wedding invitations, asking whether Spike wants to be "William the Bloody" or just "Spike," either of which will look strange. Spike mocks her name, Buffy demands, "What's wrong with 'Buffy'?" and Giles moans, "Oh! Such a good question." Spike and Buffy continue to bicker and then Anya and Xander burst in, yelling that they are being followed by demons. Xander then exclaims at the fact that Spike is untied, but Buffy tells him to calm down, and that maybe the demon parade is connected to Giles's blindness. Xander begins waving his fingers in Giles's face, who tells him to stop because "you smell like Fruit Roll-ups." "This is the crack team that foils my every plan?" sighs Spike. "I am deeply shamed." Buffy moves closer to Spike and says that he's right, and takes his arm. "Why are you holding hands?" demands Anya. Spike and Buffy turn to each other, then turn back to Xander and Anya; Buffy squeaks, "Spike and I are getting married!" then throws her arms around his neck. "How? What? How?" stutters Xander. Spike and Buffy swap spit and Xander, looking queasy, demands, "Can I be blind too?" He then begins to put together the chain of events and exclaims, "Willow!" Xander says that other than being fed up with Willow's mood swings, which Buffy agrees are tiresome, Willow had told him he was a demon magnet and said that Spike and Buffy should get married. Giles deduces that, for some reason, whatever Willow says is coming true and Buffy happily says, "And you both were affected! I probably only escaped because I'm the Slayer." The others are astounded. They agree they need to find Willow.
Willow morosely enters the dorm room, and is promptly grabbed by a demon. Lightning flashes and Willow screams.

In Giles's kitchen, Willow removes cookies from a baking sheet and puts them on a tray Anya is holding. Willow says she'll keep making cookies until she doesn't feel so guilty and also she has to "detail Giles's car." Xander is testing Giles's vision as Willow passes out cookies. Giles complains that he still needs his glasses and that Willow should have given him 20-20 vision. "Eat a cookie -- ease my pain," Willow tells Buffy, adding that baking eases some of her guilt but not much of her "inner turmoil." Spike, who is tied to a chair, wants a cookie too, but Buffy says he can't have one. He sneers that he still has "Buffy taste" in his mouth, and then tells the assembled group that Buffy wanted Wind Beneath my Wings for the first dance at their wedding. Everybody stares; a humiliated Buffy claims it was the spell and leaves the room. Willow follows her, after stuffing a cookie in Spike's mouth. I notice that Willow is wearing a t-shirt that says "Speak No Evil" -- insert your own anvil joke here. Willow apologizes to Buffy again; Buffy says she might need a forgetting spell and she's now totally over the whole bad-boy thing. As Buffy talks about having a decent relationship, she suddenly recalls that she told Riley she was engaged.
Later that day Buffy and Riley walk on campus, talking. Buffy laughs and says she can't believe that Riley thought she was serious about getting engaged. Riley still seems confused (Buffy, he ain't never going to get un-confused, so you should just give up now), so Buffy clarifies that she was teasing Riley, because she thought he was freaking out over her looking at wedding dresses. She jokes that he was looking at her like a "cartoon ball and chain." Riley finally accepts that Buffy was pulling his leg, calls her insane, but asks whether she's still single. She looks at him sweetly and says yes. Her curly hairstyle looks somewhat better in this scene. She tells him he has a lot to learn about women. He slides his hand under her hair and it looks like he's going to kiss her, but he just says that Buffy can teach him and then walks away. Yuck.

Buffy, Spike, Xander, and Anya walk down the dorm hall. Spike complains they are going to a lot of work for people "who aren't us," but Buffy says it's her job. "For now," he says, and Buffy is surprised that he'd want her to give up working. "Do I want you to give up killing my friends? Yah, I've given it some thought," Spike mutters. Inside the room, the gang finds a large burned spot on the carpet and Anya exclaims that D'Hoffryn has been there. While Spike plays with the clothes in Buffy's closet, Anya explains further: D'Hoffryn is the entity who made her a demon 1,120 years ago.

Willow stands in front of D'Hoffryn in a dark place. He explains that Willow has strong magic, but it was her pain that called him. Willow is frightened and tries to leave, but D'Hoffryn says he doesn't plan to quash her potential.
The odd quartet walks across campus. Anya talks about how she had been dumped and was practicing revenge spells when D'Hoffryn came to her and elevated her into a demon. Buffy is concerned about Willow. The group reaches a crypt, where Anya will attempt to contact D'Hoffryn, but Buffy is distracted by the photogenic qualities of the setting. Can you even take photos of a vampire? A horned demon approaches them and Buffy says she'll fight him, but they have to avoid disturbing the foliage. Buffy and Horny fight; she beats him, but many more demons come running at them. They run into the crypt and close the door. Anya inscribes a symbol on the floor and begins chanting a spell.
D'Hoffryn explains to Willow that the "the pain and suffering you brought upon those you love has been inspired. You are ready to join us here in Arashmahaar." "Pain? What pain?" an agitated Willow exclaims, and we cut to Buffy, Xander, and Spike attempting to hold off bunches of attacking demons. Anya continues her spell, but can't recall all the words and has to start over. Spike tells Buffy he can't fight the demons, and if they enter the crypt, he can't protect her. So -- let me get this straight. These demons somehow qualify as living creatures? Can Spike fight other vampires, since they're essentially dead? Oh well, no use trying to figure it all out. Buffy gets her back up at Spike's suggestion that she needs protection and he says, "Oh, not with the girl power bit!" Hee. Horny and his demon companions break in and Buffy, Xander, Spike, and Anya all fight them off as best they can.
D'Hoffryn shows Willow a vision of Buffy and companions fighting the demons and tells her it is the result of her power. Willow is distressed that her spell has gone so wrong. She asks D'Hoffryn to help her friends, but he won't, and Willow tells him she doesn't want to be a demon, she just wants to assist her friends. "That is your answer?" demands D'Hoffryn as dramatic music plays. "I'm sorry to hear that," he continues in a threatening tone, but then resignedly says, "Oh, well," and gives Willow his talisman in case she changes her mind. He waves his hand and Willow disappears. In the crypt, Spike has been knocked down and Buffy runs over to him, concerned. She lies on top of him and well, if you've read this far I'm sure you can guess what they do . Willow appears in the crypt and does a spell to reverse her original one. The demon Xander and Anya are grappling with vanishes. Buffy and Spike stare horrified at each other. They both make grossed-out noises and Buffy, wiping her mouth, yells, "Spike lips! Lips of Spike!" She notices Willow, who sheepishly greets them.
