It's day 53, and with five players left and Dan and Keesha nominated by Jerry, Dan still has hopes of preserving the secret "Renegades" alliance he has with Memphis. Jerry reminds us in the Diary Room that Dan is the target and Keesha is the pawn (funny how much that word looks like "palin," isn't it?). We're also reminded that Memphis has deals with Dan, Jerry, and Keesha, which means all he has to do is get rid of Renny, after which at least two people will be really pissed off at him and he'll be in great shape.
The two nominees discuss the situation, and Dan says they could both still stay. Keesha makes the astounding deductive leap that this would mean Memphis or Renny would have to go up, although she doesn't quite reach the conclusion that they'd have to go home as well. They also speculate that if Dan wins and saves himself then Jerry will nominate Memphis, whereas if Keesha does the same Renny will be the replacement nominee. Bottom line: no one is safe this week. Got that? If not, it's okay, because it'll be repeated a lot.
Dan decides to go and visit Jerry, who also talks about the importance of the Power of Veto this week. He DRs that he's trying to cover up his deal with Memphis, but then we see him warning Dan that nobody has his back, whatever he may think. Subtle. The problem with Jerry keeping quiet about what he knows is that Jerry can't ever keep quiet about anything.
And later, down in the kitchen, Jerry is running down scenarios with Renny as a way of warning her that depending on the PoV outcome, she's the most dispensable member of her alliance. So she goes to flip shit on Keesha, who can't offer Renny much reassurance besides, "Win the PoV and you won't have to worry about it." Well, I guess anything is possible. Aside from Renny winning PoV, that is.
Jerry comes out into the backyard to find Dan soaking in the pool, Memphis chilling on the porch, and some skywritten letters high overhead. While stumbling around backwards to read the writing, Jerry -- wait for it -- falls in the pool. Dan and Memphis keep admirably straight faces as Jerry climbs out, complaining about a hurt ass and bruised dignity. Dan does cackle at him in the DR, though: "The pool has been there for sixty days! Jerry hasn't gone anywhere!"
Later, Memphis confirms his final two deals with Jerry, Keesha, and Dan. Although not all at once, which is pretty discreet of him. Memphis claims that he's going to be doing what's best for him. I'd say the best thing for him would be to take off that stupid Davy Crockett hat.
Dan decides to have some fun with Renny, in the form of imitating everything she does or says. Hard to argue with her accusations that he's immature when he does that, but she doesn't help herself much by rising to it. After that, Dan goes into the bedroom with her, Memphis, and Keesha to get on her nerves some more, which he successfully does. This sends her storming out. Keesha follows, and the Renegades agree that whatever happens, Renny needs to go this week.
Looks like this week's PoV competition is one of those deals where all of the players are separated and will be called out to the backyard one at a time. Dan is first, and he DRs that while it would be good if he wins, Memphis winning would be even better because that's the only way to guarantee the safety of the Renegades.
The PoV is basically Lewis Carroll meets H.P. Lovecraft, as the yard is decorated like an outsized nursery. There's a video screen where pictures of "babies" will appear, although the images will be nightmarish digital mash-ups of two different houseguests in baby outfits, and then the player has to guess each one's "parents." There are six photos. Dan has some problems with the first couple of pictures, but seems to find the groove on the last few.
Fortunately for Dan, Jerry's even worse at this game. The first one gives him so much trouble that he probably would have done better without a picture at all, but he does better on the rest save the second to last. Memphis is , and does a pretty good job of keeping his horrified expressions from slowing him down as he dashes between the boards and the button. When it's Renny's turn, she all but stands there cackling and scratching her head, even though in the DR she realizes she has to win to save herself. "All the babies are ugly except Jessie and I," she DRs. Okay, the hellspawn that combines their DNA is indeed the least horrifying of the six (six...six...) genetic trainwrecks displayed on the screen, but I wouldn't go that for. And then for some mysterious reason, she decides that the old, bald, wrinkled baby couldn't possibly
have Jerry for a parent, and cycles through just about every other possible combination before finally settling on the right guess through nothing more than process of elimination. Keesha does okay at guessing, but in addition to wasting time being grossed out, she keeps walking between the boards and the button instead of running, so I don't see her winning it. Finally everyone is assembled and waiting for the results of the competition. But they'll have to wait until after the commercials.1 2 3 4
Renny's time turns out to be 23 minutes and 32 seconds. She blames herself in the DR, and for once I think she's nailed it. Jerry's time is much better, at 8:01. Dan's time was 2:58, and it took almost that much time for his result to show up on the screen. Memphis, however, came in at 2:50. And after about twice that long to build up the suspense, Keesha's time is revealed at last: 5:16. So that's a win for Memphis and the Renegades. So now Memphis is going to have to decide whether to honor his deal with Dan or with Jerry. And Dan color-commentaries that if Memphis vetoes Dan as he expects, Jerry will have literally no other choice but to put up Renny as the replacement nominee. Keesha realizes in the DR that she may have just blown her only chance to save both herself and Renny. Fortunately, she has a backup plan: hyperventilate.
Memphis sits Dan down and tells Dan that if he saves him, he's going to have to cut out the "fucking antics." Well, that's a pretty broad statement there. He talks to Dan about what he expects from him, and Dan readily agrees to everything: Bringing Memphis to the end, saving Keesha, basically a blank check. One wonders if either of them realizes that a blank check still needs to have some writing on it.
Meanwhile, Renny and Keesha see Dan and Memphis talking, and realize it can't bode well for the two of them. So Keesha approaches Memphis to ask about his plans. Memphis starts by assuring her that she'll be there week, and that for his move, he needs to make sure that she, he, and Dan are in the final three. Keesha's upset, but not about the prospect of Renny's wig ending up in the tire treads of the proverbial bus, but at being in a position where she has to trust Dan. Memphis assures her that she can trust both of them. Keesha is only convinced of half of that statement.
Renny corners Memphis, wondering who's talking about her. Memphis just chuckles that nobody's after her. Renny reminds her that she fought for him to stay. Which is one way of looking at it, I guess, in a world where New Orleans is two hours behind California.
Memphis then has to sit with Jerry and try to make the case that Renny needs to go more than Dan does. He DRs that he's caught in the middle; if he saves Dan, he's likely to piss off both Jerry and Keesha. Well, that's the price of doing business.
As Memphis contemplates his veto decision, Dan is already looking forward to a big victory for the Renegades. Renny DRs that Memphis would be wise to let Dan go, and Jerry warns that Memphis had better leave Dan on the block. Because, you know, this season is just littered with the corpses of those who dared to screw over Jerry.

At the PoV meeting, Memphis lets Dan give his speech first. Dan is low-key, for Dan, although he does say that it's his 25th birthday and he knows just what he wants. Keesha just says she'll have no hard feelings against any of them. And after a pause long enough to drive the Oscars through, Memphis uses the PoV on... Dan. They then have to go through the motions of Jerry taking the floor to announce his replacement nominee. He correctly says that he's got no choice but to nominate the only other possible person, Renny.
In the DR, Renny laments the now-dead dream of going to the final two with Keesha, but says she's not done yet. Well, like I said earlier in the weecap, anything is possible. Except Renny beating Keesha in a vote made by the Renegades, of course. Jerry vows retribution against Memphis for double-crossing him. What's he going to do, fall in the pool again? Memphis remains hopeful in the DR that he can salvage his relationship with Jerry, which is true, as long as Memphis wins HoH or PoV week. Jerry tends to get real friendly-like with people who do that, after all. And Dan gloats that he dodged Jerry's bullet again. Tune in Thursday, for our first look inside the BB10 jury house. Or, as it will soon be known, Ollie's harem.
