Town Hall. Jake asks Sean where Mitchell is. Sean says that he doesn't know, so Jake pushes him into a desk. Dale watches from his own chair, and thinks about tattling on Jake for shoving people. Jake says, "I know you, Sean." He does? He adds, "You're lying," and then walks off to consult with Hawkins. Jake expositions, "We can't charge 'em with anything, and the nearest judge is in the county seat, and we don't even know if that exists anymore." They can't charge Sean with anything? I think helping keep an eye on Jake at least qualifies as an accessory to kidnapping. Hawkins gets all gloat-y about how Jake has a history with Mitchell. Jake gets poetic: "Mitch and his kind are gonna prey on this town like locusts." Ooh, maybe they should spray Mitchell with pesticides. Hawkins says that they'll have to separate the kids to question them, and decides that he'll be the one to chat with Sean. I realize that his brain is probably all full right now, but is Jake ever going to ask Hawkins about his portable satellite dish? Oh, silly me; I'm sure that happened during the two-week interval that passed off-screen. And Hawkins explained that he was just trying to send an SOS to the International Space Station, and then Jake said, "Oh, that makes sense," and had another beer. So much for their deadly game of cat and also-cat. Anyway, Hawkins invites Sean to come have a chat. Sean says, "Screw that, I don't have to," and then Hawkins applies some kind of nerve pinch to his shoulder. Sean whimpers and goes out with Hawkins. Aha, he's not from St. Louis; he's from Vulcan.
Gracie is rearranging the twelve items still on the shelves when she discovers that the buckets of pesticide have vanished.
Cut to Bad Cop asking Stanley whether he knows anything about the stolen pesticide. Wow, the cops are too overwhelmed to handle the other complaints from people in town, but steal pesticide and they're on it immediately. Stanley explains that he tried to buy the stuff earlier, and then he suddenly gets all defensive and demands to know why Bad Cop is "acting like this." Please note that all that Bad Cop's done is ask Stanley one question; he's not "acting like" anything. Much like everyone else on this show. But Bad Cop admits that Gracie accused Stanley of stealing the stuff. He asks if he can look around, and Stanley gets all huffy. Mimi pops up suddenly and asks what's happening, and Stanley says, "One of my best friends is accusing me of stealing pesticides." Bad Cop starts toward the barn to poke around, and as he turns the sweat-soaked back of his shirt to the camera, Stanley huffs, "I didn't say you could go in there!" Bad Cop whirls and points a finger at Stanley threateningly. "Don't make me use this!" he screams. Mimi pulls Stanley back, and Stanley raves, "Fine, check the barn. Check the whole damn house!" Careful, Stanley. If you let him check the fruit cellar, he'll finally find out what happened to Mr. and Mrs. Richmond.
