Mary-Ellis Bunim: So who did we hire to play the role of Bobby?
Murray: Hire? But we don't...these are real people.
Bunim: Yeah, keep telling yourself that.
Nicole voice-overs that she dreams that Bobby will run into her arms, tell her that he missed her, and then they will "make sweet, passionate love," but that won't happen. Bobby shows up with flowers and gives Nicole a hug. This is her dream man? The ponytail has got to go. In an interview, Nicole says that she would love to be Bobby's girlfriend, but she knows that won't happen. Bobby wants to know the name of his hotel, and Nicole says that he's staying at the Hotel Nicole. In an interview, Nicole says that she knows she's going to make a move on him, because she can't control it. Bobby says that there are a lot of men in New York, and Nicole complains that she hasn't gotten close to any of them. Bobby points out that she's close to one now, and Nicole comments, "Maybe I'll get closer," and then shoots Bobby a sly grin. He totally doesn't notice.
At a bar, Quarrel and Kevin discuss their relationship. Kevin says that Quarrel gets mad very quickly. In an interview, Quarrel says that she comes from a lot of "stress and pain and turmoil," so it's difficult to think that people aren't trying to attack her, but she wants to let all of that go. Kevin feels like the house has been split down gender lines, and that there is a lot of miscommunication. Quarrel agrees. In an interview, Kevin says Quarrel is "really trying to work on her attitude," and "that's awesome."
"Why Don't We Get Drunk and Screw" by Jimmy Buffett plays on the soundtrack. I can't believe they dug up this chestnut. This song was an oldie when I was in college, when we used to sing it really loudly and obnoxiously and pretend like we didn't want the guys who lived across the hall to hear it. Bobby opens a bottle of champagne, and he and Nicole drink from it. Nicole says she's not a big drinker as she guzzles down her glass. In an interview, Nicole says that her "evil plan" is to get Bobby drunk and "take advantage of him." Nicole voice-overs that she has tried the non-aggressive approach, so now she's going to try the aggressive approach. How embarrassed do you think she is, watching this now? Again, I thank God that none of the stupid things I did in my early twenties have been committed to video. Except for that phase when I dyed my hair black, and that's only on one video, and you can only see me for a second. And it didn't air on national television. As Nicole and Bobby leave the house, they actually put the words to the song along the bottom of the screen so that you can follow the bouncing ball and sing along: "They say you are a snub queen, but honey, I don't think that's true. So why don't we get drunk and screw?" Except they bleep out the word "screw" which is so dumb. It just ruins the whole song, in my opinion. Why bother using a song entitled, "Why Don't We Get Drunk and Screw" if you're going to bleep out the word screw? I hate this show.
At a club, Nicole drunkenly says that she's seeing two Bobbies. Bobby has his arm around Nicole, and he's stroking her bare arm. In an interview, Nicole says that it felt so good to touch Bobby, and that she just wanted to "grab him and eat him up." They do body shots, and Nicole appears to have passed out. In an interview, Nicole says that this is her perfect night. They leave the club. Nicole voice-overs that she is "crazy, so baked, [she] can't even tell you." Bobby gets some chicken from a street vendor, which doesn't seem like a good idea. Nicole begs Bobby to hold her purse, but he protests that he can't because of his chicken. Nicole says she's going to throw up. In an interview, Nicole says that she didn't want to puke in front of Bobby. Nicole pukes in a garbage can while Bobby continues eating and watching her and not helping her at all. In an interview, Nicole says that she doesn't know what she was thinking, drinking so much, because she can't handle it. While standing on a street corner, waiting for her luck to change, Nicole throws up in another garbage can. Bobby practically walks away from her. I know it's her own fault that she's drunk, but he could at least show a little sympathy. I mean, he drank as much as she did, so it can't be that he disapproves or something.
