Veronica Mars
In the third season of this critically-acclaimed but ever-struggling show, Veronica took her sass and snark off to college, where, depending on who you ask, she stayed sassy and snarky, or became nasty and unidentifiable. The show's format changed twice -- first to mini-arcs as opposed to season arcs, and then to stand-alone episodes, but nothing seemed to work to pull in new viewers. Was it Veronica's on-again, off-again relationship with Logan that was the problem? Did the show never recover dramatically from the loss of Lilly Kane? Were new characters Piz and Parker to blame? Or was the premise of the show always going to doom it to a Sisyphus-like ratings struggle? That's one mystery that may never be solved, as after three seasons on the bubble, Veronica is no more. We hope you get out of Neptune someday, girl. -- Couch Baron
Windfall
Imagine if you and a bunch of your friends won nearly four hundred million dollars in the state lottery. After that first rush and thrill of celebration, what happens ? Nothing very interesting, as it turns out. Especially if you and your friends are as stupid as the cast of Windfall. Which, of course you're not, and I apologize for implying that you were. You're all very deserving and fascinating individuals. Remember me when that check comes in, hmm? -- M. Giant
