I found the travel from an island off Nova Scotia to Virginia so unbelievable that it took me out of the episode. I guess we're supposed to assume Rebekah chartered private planes or one plane that kept returning, or something, but seeing as Stefan and Elena came home together, and Bonnie and Damon came home later, I keep wondering how many planes Becky has waiting. I can't imagine she stranded herself on that island, when she wants to get to New Orleans and find Katherine and the cure. I don't want the story bogged down by logistics, but I'd like it to make enough sense that I don't spend an hour wondering about things that don't even matter.
Nina Dobrev does stunning work in this episode. I could go on for pages, but no one wants to read that, so I'll leave it at this: brava! Goodbye Jeremy. I hope we see you in one form or another. Goodbye Gilbert Gables. I think I'll miss you most of all.
I'll be back after March 14th's "Bring It On," assuming I'm not institutionalized between now and then. In the meantime, please grade the episode at the top of the page and then come on over to the forum, where we're wrapping Matt in a blanket and feeding him warm, chocolate pudding.
