Back in Mystic Falls, Damon tells Stefan that all the way home, all Bonnie could talk about was dropping the veil between this side and The Other Side. Every once dead supernatural will be freed.

Bonnie: I can do it. I have the power. We can bring everyone back -- Jeremy, Alaric, Vicki.
We hear the rest of the conversation from Elena's perspective, which we can tell because the audio gets muddy as soon as Bonnie starts naming the dearly departed.
Muddy Caroline: Bonnie stop it! Bonnie stop it. You can just say these things.
Music: Zeezaw zeezaw zeezaw...
Muddy Caroline: Blah blah blah
Telephone: Ring!
Although Matt offers, Elena rises and answers the landline. It's April, looking for Jeremy. He's not answering his cell phone, so April is hoping he's at home. As the young girl babbles, Damon and Stefan enter the kitchen. Elena says, "Jeremy can't come to the phone, right now. He's not... I'm sorry. He's dead." Elena's acknowledgment that Jeremy is dead is good in the sense that it's healthy. It's bad though, because she told April, who is bound to be a complication, at least unless she's drafted into the Fellowship of the Falls, and even then... Elena hasn't read what's coming up yet, so she hangs up and walks out. Damon looks around at the other players. Caroline watches Bonnie with alarm. Bonnie puts on her crazy eyes. An M&M commercial gives me a blessed breather.
