Mainland -- current day: Aaron's watching cartoons as Kate makes coffee. He says, "Choo-choo, tunnel!" But Kate laughs that Choo-choo knows better than that. "If he goes into that tunnel, he's never coming back out." Oooh. Can you dig it? When the doorbell rings, she says to him, "Watch your cartoons, Goober. Mommy'll be right back." At the door is Angela Chase's dad and another guy. Mr. Chase says, "Hi, I'm Dan Norton of the law firm Agostoni and Norton," and introduces his associate as, "my associate," because... he's not quick on his feet. Norton is there to draw blood samples from Kate and Aaron, on behalf of his undisclosed client who has obtained a court order compelling Kate to relinquish the samples. Kate orders them off her property. Norton threatens to come back with the sheriff and Kate's all: bring it, bitch. She then packs up her things and Aaron's, tells him they're going "on vacation" and they hit the road -- quicker than she falls in and out of love with Jack and/or Sawyer.
