Tom is back to tell us the fates of Wendy and Petra. But first, of course, a clip package. It cracks me up because Petra is backstage talking to the camera, waiting to go on, and a PA or stage manager is trying to get her to go out, and it takes her a second to go, and the PA totally rolls his eyes at the camera like, "Ugh. Talent. So annoying." I love that dude. Also, Dmitry totally lifted Petra off the ground when he swung her around. I guess Carrie Ann chose to ignore it. As for Wendy, she claims that the competition isn't about personality, it's about feet, and she thinks she could win a personality competition. See, that's the problem. She doesn't think she needs to show any personality. We'd overlook her bad feet, at least for a few weeks, if she would actually show something. Anyway, Petra is safe, and Wendy is still in jeopardy. No surprise there.
This week, the contestants were given cameras and told to shoot footage when they're not at rehearsals. It's boring. They have families. They work. Romeo knows the names of all the female employees. Ralph Macchio films his butt. I told you that you weren't missing anything.
Selena Gomez is here to "sing." She's actually not horrible, but she has zero stage presence. If your voice is mediocre, you have to be more of a performer. I always wonder in these cases if the backup singers are like, "WTF, why is she out front?" Mark and Chelsie come out to dance, and I don't know what Mark's doing but he's hopping around like a frog. Then he throws Chelsie around a lot.
The next couples up for results are Chelsea and Mark along with Kendra and Louis. I hate Mark, but that's not news. Kendra is still harping on the fact that she has to be romantic with Louis. We get it. He's gay, and he's not Hank. Get over it. Kendra really did get overwhelmed by the smoke, which was redonk, and it affected her whole routine. So who is safe? I don't know what happened up on stage, but they are all cracking up while they wait to hear. Chelsea and Mark are safe. Kendra and Louis are in jeopardy.
What do the pros think about the competition? Cheryl is impressed with how Ralph moves, given his age. Other pros feel the same way about Kirstie. Anna can't believe that Chelsea can keep up with Mark's choreography. Karina likes Romeo's swagger. Wendy and Sugar Ray are stronger on performance than technique. Well, Wendy's not strong with either, really. Chelsie is impressed with how much fun Hines is having. So they all agree that the field is close. I learned nothing from that segment. Thanks, producers.
