Episode Report Card Kim: B- | Grade It Now! YOU GRADE IT Topologize

By Kim | Season 12 | Episode 5 | Aired on 04.05.2011

OneRepublic is back to sing that one song that's not "Apologize" [It's fittingly "All the Right Moves." - Zach] and the troupe is out to perform. I'm surprised that they only let the troupe do one song. I thought I was supposed to get to know each of them personally. How can I do that when they're only on for one segment?

Moving on to hear more about Chris, Kirstie and Ralph. Chris danced for his mom and it was actually touching, especially since I think he was the first one to trot out the parent story. Ralph, whatever. It was what it was. We get to hear Maks and Kirstie's audio during their fall; this is what Brooke was trying to show them earlier when they wouldn't talk to her. Right when Maks falls, Kirstie asks if he's okay and what happened, and then he holds up a finger like "wait one" and they continue. At the end of the dance, Kirstie assumes it was her fault and asks what she did wrong. I thought Kirstie was mad about her scores, but on rewatch, it's possible that she was shocked they were so high after they fell. In the confessional, Maks assures Kirstie that it wasn't her fault, and then they cackle that Maks pulled her down because he wasn't going to fall by himself. Ralph and Karina are safe, as are Kirstie and Maks. Chris and Cheryl are in jeopardy.

Okay, so three couples are in jeopardy: Wendy and Tony, Kendra and Louis, and Chris and Cheryl. WE don't have to wait long to hear that Kendra and Louis are safe. Kendra is deadpan. She totally has bitchface. Tom emphasizes that Wendy and Chris are not necessarily the bottom two, and then we have to hear what Len thinks. He thinks that Wendy overcame her fears and came back strong after a bad first week. Len was surprised at Chris's improvement over the first episode. I am going to be pissed if Chris goes home ahead of Wendy, but I feel like they would have been teasing it as a shocking elimination if that were the case. Right? I'm just going to keep typing until Tom tells us who's going home. And...it's Wendy and Tony. Well, that's right. I mean, who was worse? No one.

Brooke asks Wendy if her constant travel affected her abilities to rehearse. Wendy says that she did have a lot of travel, and she has a family, and a lot of other obligations, but she got to show off her goods. She admits that she's a black woman who can't even do the running man. You guys. I am SO GOOD at the running man. I was like Bobby Brown back in the day. "Every Little Step" was my jam. My friend Heather and I used to go to clubs and do that routine where we would go forward and hit our feet and then go back and we were working up to me boosting her into a back flip but we chickened out. Anyway. Wendy's gone, and instead of doing a final dance she goes into the audience and hugs people.
